Ketu Benefic or Malefic Predictions for the horoscope

Last Updated on October 30, 2024 by Tejaswini

Ketu is the southern lunar node of astrology. He is a mathematical calculated point of the intersection of the ecliptic and the zodiac. For students of Jyotish, however he is an astral force, a graha. Jyotish is a Vedang so naturally is a part of Sanatan Dharma/ Hinduism.

Ketu is responsible for your karmic balance and the deepest learnings from your past lives. He determines your areas of disinterest, detachment, dispassion. In a spiritually evolved horoscope he determines spirituality and the possibility of Enlightenment. Ketu is the oldest and the strongest of the nine graha of astrology. He and his counter point Rahu are slow moving planets and stay in a sign for about 18 months. They are both generally retrograde and are forward only in certain specific conditions.

Generally Ketu is considered to be a malefic for every horoscope. He generally creates traumatic events in life. But in certain conditions, he can become the biggest benefic, ie the Yogkarak level benefic. With practice, we can judge just by looking at a person if Ketu is benefic or malefic for him. This is a part of samudrik shastra, ie to analyse the person by observing the appearance and behaviour. Students of astrology have to learn to analyse behaviour, this helps in checking if the horoscope date/time is accurate or not.

Ketu as a Benefic in the horoscope

If Ketu is capable of giving auspicious results in your horoscope then,

You are capable of very high levels of abstract thinking. You are highly imaginative and creative. You have an incredible depth of knowledge which you can put into practical use. Especially good at Math and Sanskrit you will have a deep understanding of the human civilisation.

Your 40s will be very transformative as Ketu slowly starts opening up. At the age of 48yrs and onwards you will be a completely different person. Your innate spiritual power will come to the forefront and you will be publicly recognised for what you are and do.

You are lucky. This is because you have sources of learnings from your past lives available to you now. This can translate to profits from business and investments. You have an uncanny ability to make money from everything you touch. But you are a simple person at heart, unattached to all these assets. You do not require much to live and lead a very simple life. But you will utilise every tiny opportunity that comes your way and try to build something tangible from these. You feel that your time is very short and you want to make the most of what you get.

You are fair and do not behave in a dishonest manner. However others will always take advantage of your innate fairness and your knowledge. Yet you will ignore all these pinpricks and move on in your life. You are not going to get close to your family members nor will you have genuine friends in your life. This isolation will seem unbearable in your younger age but later you will have followers. You genuinely like helping others, and you have the ability/ patience to listen and resolve others’s issues. You have the ability to speak or write and will be able to pass on what you know to your students. Often your voice/ face will be hypnotic, people will listen to you. If you stare at someone’s eyes for too long, you might actually hypnotise them.

As on the material levels, on the spiritual levels too you will get the Siddhis. Siddhis are supernatural abilities which naturally emerge as you do your sadhana. You will do a lot of mantra pujas and these will give you the results but all this will happen only in your late 40s. You will gain the ability to foresee future events, intuitively. You can be a famous astrologer, Tarot reader, etc. A powerful Ketu is capable of lifting up the entire horoscope on his own might. But again this will all happen late in life. If the rest of the chart is supportive then he can grant Moksh, self Knowledge, Enlightenment in this life itself.

Eg a favourable Ketu conjunct the Yogkarak or the Ascendant lord can grant extraordinary success in life in the 40s. There are several examples where people suddenly become famous in their 40s. And such a rise would have involved Ketu in some way.

www.psychologicallyastrology.com

Ketu as a Malefic in the horoscope

And if Ketu is going to give unfavourable results in the chart then some or all of the following will be seen.

Chances are that you are addicted to or at least like smoking, either tobacco or any other substance. You will try to show that you are honest, learned, etc but you know that your knowledge will be superficial. This inner insecurity puts you on the back foot and you do not feel confident most of the time. You try to validate your claims of being knowledgable by taking up several courses in life. You may have multiple diplomas and degrees, but generally you will not be able to put this learning into any real use.

Your opinion or judgment about the people in your life will not be accurate and there are very real chances of people cheating you. Eg your boss will make you work extra without giving you overtime pay. Or you may not get the promised bonuses and commissions after you do the job. If this happens to you, do not try to rationalise this but talk to your boss about proper renumeration for the work done. If you get better opportunities in a place away from your hometown then try to capitalise on these. Else your inner insecurities will never let you grow. You generally feel nervous about accepting life’s challenges.

One typical habit is that you experiment with your hairstyle. Or that you follow some habit for a long time and then suddenly ditch it. Or that you wear mismatched or unwashed clothes or look generally messy. There is always something ‘off’ about your aura or actual physical appearance. Also over time this might develop into eccentric behaviour. Or illogical arguments with others. Or you might suddenly mistrust everyone around you . Such behaviour might cause rifts between you and your family members/ friends.

In your 40s, you might feel motivated to cultivate a following. To attract followers you might speak of imaginary Siddhis, black magic, occult, supernatural encounters, seeing spirits and esoteric stuff. However you do not have that core of genuine personal charisma to actually have a genuine group of followers.

A practical tip, eg, In your practice, if you see a client who looks messy on purpose, then it is possible that the Ketu in his chart is not favourable to him. And if in the chart, Ketu is conjunct Jupiter then you must analyse Jupiter too in depth as there is a possibility that Ketu would have spoilt his keywords.

Astrology is the study of human nature. The planets are mere indicators, they serve as guide points. So when learning Jyotish systemically one must be dispassionate and observe critically. This helps in better understanding of the potential available in the person /horoscope. And once you are able to identify your favourable and unfavourable qualities /planets you can work on them to better your life. Ketu is capable of a lot but it takes focus and a strong determination to activate him. But if you can do this, then the results is well worth the effort.

I am a Ketu dominant person with Moola ascendant and Ketu in Magha conjunct Moon in Purva Phalguni. I am unable to decide if my Ketu is benefic or malefic. I have both traits. I have had materially malefic results of ketu this past few years and now I am consciously coming out of it.

My question is regarding hair. Everytime I cut my hair I feel uneasiness in the pit of my stomach. Since 2020 I haven’t cut my hair and now it’s waist length and unpractical. How will a hair cut affect me now? Is it okay to cut hair? I am a philosophical spiritual person but don’t have a mantra practise.

Thank you. I am grateful to you for spreading your wisdom and wish you the best in your YouTube channel. 🙏

      Hi there

      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2018/10/06/kesh-or-hair/

personally, i cut my hair myself. have been doing so for the past 15-20yrs now. i do not like random people/energy touching my head.

if you have waist length hair and want to maintain a longish hair style then you can do it yourself. layered, V or U shaped cuts are easy, a straight is a bit difficult.
invest in a sharp scissors and trim them once in a while at home.

and then after you finish take a few cut strands and blow them into the winds with the intention of blowing away the negativity from your life.

Fascinating. For a long time I’ve wondered why my Ketu/Moon/Mars conjunction in the 4th house hasn’t had the expected poor results that might be indicated. Now it’s all fitting: my Cancer Lagna. Yogkaraka Mars in a kendra house is harmonizing Ketu into beneficence. Thank you for leading me to the answer!!! I’ve been trying to understand it without any luck until now. And Ketu also being with my ascendant lord in its own house…seeing as this is also an indicator of beneficent Ketu, does that amplify the positive influence here?

If I may ask also: My Rahu is placed all alone in the 10th house. Does the drishti of Moon/Mars on the 7th from 4th have a bearing on Rahu’s beneficence in a similar way as for Ketu?

At any rate, thank you very much for yet another enlightening article! We are so very blessed to have the treasure of your insights.

Thank you very much! I have read these posts (and many others!) thoroughly and see that Rahu/Ketu when alone in a house gives average results unless aspected.

With Rahu receiving the 7th aspect of a yogkaraka Mars and benefic Ketu, does this improve the benefic attributes of Rahu?

Also interestingly, Rahu is in Ashwini nakshatra in Aries, so Ketu and Mars are both nakshatra and sign lords. This being the case, would the beneficial energies of Ketu and Mars be added upon Rahu as well as the drishti?

      3. astrologerbydefault Avatar

        Hi there
        Yes. Both amplify the results.
Esp when with the tara graha material effects become deeper. On both subjective and objective levels
With sun moon it can become typical unless the chart is inherently able to manage the intensity.

But ketu mars rahu all are cruel planets. Kroor graha so mode of action will b rough. But results will be auspicious.

I have a Ketu-Jupiter conjunction in 2nd house as Pisces ascendant.
I have most of the positive traits mentioned in the post. Also I was advised to hone my intuition by meditation, which I have not put into as a daily practice. But I have started following a few spiritual practices which helps a lot with my anxiety. As mentioned I have very few friends and not much in touch with family.
I will turn 48 this month and looking forward to see how the future unfolds.

    1) Does Ketu in Pushkar Navamsa confer some degree of beneficence?
    2) And is there a way to channelize or activate the positive Ketu energies, even if not meeting Yogkarak criteria?

My Ketu is alone in 7th in Virgo, opposite Jupiter (1st house lord) , reading your post makes me realize that life experiences has somehow brought out the malefic effects of Ketu, more than benefic aspect. Maybe it will get better when I cross 40s!

Hi, when I read this and try to analyse my own self, I see the qualities in me -a combination of both benefic and malefic Ketu. I’m not into any serious astrology yet, just trying to analyse my own self. Most of the articles regarding Ketu you have written makes sense. Thank you. I have suffered from low self esteem all my life. As I’m getting into my mid thirties, I now feel why my childhood/adolescence was not the way, it should have been.

Request you to please write about planets in different houses for a Leo ascendant – especially, Ketu-Moon in 1st house, for a leo ascendant/ Ketu-Moon in Magha nakshatra.

    Pranams Madam.
. A small doubt regarding ninth house Ketu. Ketu represents deepest learnings from the past . But For a chart (I know) for Aries ascendant, Ketu with mars (asc lord) in Sagittarius (natural Dharm-stan), Ketu behaves like Malefic (Person has Smoking habits, alcohol..etc.. non-dharmic and manipulative person.) How can deepest learnings from past life (in dharma/religion) make someone apathetic to dharma now ?
. Another chart I know of – Gemini Asc, Saturn and Ketu in ninth house (Ketu with ninth lord – should be like almost yogkarak.), this person exhibits positive traits of Ketu but can be called eccentric and used to be messy/ shabby. Could shabbiness here be because of Saturn in ascendant also ?.

. Also another query. if during Ketu’s antardasha, person become (atleast temporarily) spiritual and learnt Sanskrit, etc , could we assume Ketu is working in better form. uplifting the horoscope a bit spiritually ? . even though material losses are there. Since Ketu in 8th house Aries.

Sincerely Thank you again Madam for your time and effort

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there

you will have to check the entire chart,
esp Jupiter and Venus. check if the 2nd house is spoilt

saturn in asc gives this ‘aged’ feeling to the person

all Ketu dominated personalities will have something mildly eccentric about them. or they will have gone through an extremely weird phase at some point of their life.

    Hello,

I am a scorpio lagna, kumbh rashi (with a tula lagna, Dhanu rashi husband), Venus-Mercury in 3rd (Jupiter), Sun-moon in 4th (Mars), (Shani in 5th), Ketu-jupiter in 6th house (Venus-Rahu), Mars in 7th (Sun), Retrograde Shani in 9th (Moon). Husband’s chart details are shared in (bracket).

With Jupiter conjunct Ketu in my 6th house, wonder if it is malefic or benefic. Some experiences are mentioned below:
Turned 48, 10 days ago. Life took a sudden turn at 40, the dark night of the soul experience full of emotional challenges on almost all fronts in life. A lot of growth in past 8 years though in the mental plane and somewhat on spiritual plane. At 42 years, with the Saturn-Ketu antardasha, bagan the beginning of several life turning spiritual experiences. Devotion (to Shiva) has suddenly become a prominent experience this year. Whole world view has shifted 180 degrees in these 8 years. Feel like only doing spiritual travels and doing deep level sadhna and studies while career needs full focus and commitment due to the career shift tgt happened very recently. The shift is highly meaningful, but I am not inspired to make it a financially rewarding option. Instead been doing pro bono work for over 1 year.

I have read your posts on Rahu-Ketu/Ketu-Rahu axis along 6th-12 houses and synastry related posts. Especially with JupiterKetu-VenusRahu synastry of 6th house and Saturn-Moon synastry of 9th house with my husband, I wonder:

Question 1: what is the best way to utilise the remaining 6-7 years of my Shani Mahadasha to make the most of it.

Question 2: How to turn the existing gap in marital life more meaningful. Is detachment indicated as the best path to spiritualize the marital relationship in my case?

I have been almost regular in my prayers for last 7 years.

Any insights here are much appreciated in addition to many that you share in your posts.

    Thank you 🙏

Started learning about astrology, ayurveda, became a serious sadhaka, and study various scriptures. Living in a foreign land and have been a lone wolf for most of my life but I’m now comfortable with it. Loved your post on rahu ketu conjunctions in the divisional charts since I have them conjunct in seven. Just over two years to go until 48 – hoping my sadhana will level up.

    Hi,
I watched your recent youtube video on gemstones. In my area, lab gems have become extremely popular. They are “chemically” identical to their natural counterparts and special equipment is needed to determine that they are “lab” vs natural. But I still dont feel like these lab stones can be identical. Have you seen them work for astrological purposes?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
real gems are unaffordable now. eg the real Neelams are not seen in the market anymore

so if you want you can use the lab created ones for charging with mantra. but they will ‘die’ faster.

in any case all gems, natural or artificial, will ‘die’ after 9-10 yrs of usage.

If 20 degrees, let’s say a planet is in the cusp of another sign, and ketu is in the previous sign, but within 20 degrees apart, will it be considered a conjunction?

I am highly interested in advaita Vedanta and got interested in ayurveda and astrology as a consequence. I find your articles linking astrology with Vedanta and rituals particularly helpful. So thank you for writing.

As I’m studying more of Gita and other texts, I am unable to resolve this doubt in my mind about extent of our control over our destiny via our karma. As I read more, it seems to me that my past karma has a lot of influence and they can sometimes even hinder our spiritual growth in current lifetime. If you have time, could you please write about how we should think about karma within the boundaries of astrology? If many things are pre-destined (because of our past karma and ongoing ones), can we really change our destiny?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
how can you control your destiny ?

that is already decided the instant you decided to take birth.
the Karmaphaldata Ishwar has already allocated this fruit of your past karmas for you to enjoy /endure

      you can however change
      1. the intensity of the positive / negative fruits – by doing mantra/ daana as remedies

If I understand correctly, Duryodhan could not have accepted Krishna ji’s offer for averting war as it was pre-destined already. Was there scope for him to change his thinking (and actions) and become a better person? The blog on how not to create new karma requires a change in thinking – is this possible given the bindings of our past actions? Many people want to be spiritual but are unable to get out of the drag of daily life to have a regular practice or a guru to guide them – is this also decided before birth or one can change that? Would this not be nihilistic thinking? My intention is not to debate but understand how much scope an individual has to change if chart does not support spirituality. Arjun was guided by Krishna towards the right path but if it is pre-destined, he should have had clarity himself? Also, reading your post on bright and dark half of chart in conjunction with your answer, what would be the right way to think about destiny and karma?

      2. astrologerbydefault Avatar

        Hi there

        there is always scope.

        https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2018/09/26/fatalistic-astrology/

Infinite possibilities exist. the human mind chooses its own reality as per its Sanskars /habits and Vasanas /desires..

Duryodhan could have changed his mind. or even the Pandavs could have. Gandhari, Bhishma, Kunti, Pandu, Dhrutarashtra, Matysagandha/Satyavati, Karna, Draupadi…… each one of the persons in that history could have done things differently.
to begin with Matysagandha’s adoptive father could have behaved as per dharma and not put his emotions in the mix. the original injustice was done by this fisherman chief. he could have simply given both the children to their real father. he did not. and that one selfishness had a cascading effect on all the nations of Bharatvarsha.

Mahabharat is a Itihas, it is history. all the characters are flawed. all are human and have human vanities, frailties. Except Bhagwan Shri Krishna, he is perfection

also critically think on what happened after the War. why was that war necessary. why is this called a Dharma yuddha.

and Sanatan dharma always has an option. even the most heinous crimes like brahmahatya or gohatya have a prayashchitta. more horrible the crime more is the intensity of the ‘repair work’.
we are not a fatalistic people. we do not have an eternal hell or heaven. we work to restore our balance.

that is why even at the stage of war, when both armies were standing face to face, the offer to stop/change sides was again given.
        here Yuyutsu changed his Mind.

every chart supports spirituality. every single one.

        https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2023/08/19/role-of-malefics-in-analysing-spirituality/

once you are beyond your 48yrs of age you will understand why every event in your life was pushing you towards spirituality.

if you look at your life in the correct perspective. there are so many small events in life, which encourage you to start Manah sayyam, trying to regulate/ channelise your Mind. eg a random sentence, a sudden realization, a hurt etc.
picking up these small hints from time to time and working on them is intelligence.
the start of all spirituality is Manah sayyam, channelise your emotions sensibly so that Buddhi/intelligence can function.

Duryodhan, after he died, went to swarga. He had got veergati. after all, what you do at the moment of the exit matters the most.
Duryodhan could have changed his mind several times in the course of his life which he did not. But possibly he did it at the instant of his death. this has not been written by Maharishi Vedvyas. but we know that he did get veergati. and that is possible only when Dharma has been followed at the instant of death. ie the conscience is clear and focus is complete only then the jivatma can choose the correct nadi for exit.

but again, for the jivatma, swarga is not the final destination as rebirth awaits. when the punya phal is complete a rebirth is definite. the cycle continues until Self realization.

what is ‘spirituality’ ? most Hindus are so confused by this word. it does not mean doing hours of pujas everyday. No. do simple morning and evening pujas and midday+midnight if you can. and do the festival days pujas. that much is enough.

Spirituality is simply living your life as per your conscience.
and how do you listen to your inner voice? by channelising your the mind/ emotions.
how do you do that? by Manah sayyam, ie Mantra.
so do your Soham with every breath.
my answers (your 9th house) will have no effct on you unless you use your 5th house. do use the power of Soham.
such an easy method, the most natural one, just do it for 21 days at least and evaluate for yourself.

Also, So you’ve mentioned and I’ve asked a few times – regarding Kuldevta. I’m going to be with family in India next month and wanted to do something to invoke that energy. So I’m clear, Should ‘pay’ for a puja then do 108 mantra rounds myself?

    Thank you

    Namaste mam,

For Aquarius ascendant, in d-1 bhava chalit,
    Following are the placements:
    1) Moon and mercury extremely close conjunction in 12th house
    2) ketu in 3rd house
    3) saturn in 1st house
    4) mars in 7th house
    5) venus, jupiter in 10th house

This native’s younger sibling physically harms her mother in a violent way and is staying isolated in a room from past 5 years without leaving the house for any reason. (Comes out of the house only if a serious medical condition occurs, to visit the doctor)

What would be the remedial measures for both mother and younger sibling to reduce the negativity?

    Hi ma’am,

Thank you for your post. I like the new format!

Otherwise, I had observed malefic results from Ketu before, but with self-awareness I have been improving and changing the negative physical manifestations (such as unkempt physical appearance, more grounded to my surrounding and people’s)

Practicing spirituality and awareness is really the tool to make the best out of what was given to you. It is very true that you can’t change what was given to you, but you have the choice to manage/change/tweak it for the better or worse.

A realization dawned on me recently.. that we don’t truly own anything in this life. It is a blessing to be in temporary “possession” of all of these in this lifetime – the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly – because they can act as vehicles to jumpstart our inner journey.

    Thank you ma’am.

our body belongs to the 5 Mahabhoot

the subtle and causal bodies belong to the Ishwar

we are the Parameshwar, beyond all this… yet very much within all this.

sanatan dharma /hinduism is very subtle and minds can collapse if they get into it without preparation.
so for those minds, vedpurva = karma kaand + upasana kaand is prescribed

and for minds who cannot even do that much there are the religions.

thinking for one self but in the correct direction is the sign of true independence.

    Hello :))

Thank you for this interesting article and the new site design looks so beautiful and fresh too.

So I went through my chart database re discerning Rahu and Ketu as benefic or malefic and feel unsure about some mixed results in observation.
Pardon if I misunderstand something, some concepts are new to me.

Re Ketu and Rahu as Yogkarak, by which house system is the concept applied? Some charts might qualify only in equal houses, only with bhav chalit or only in Sripati… got several example charts born 40° and more north where it only adds up in Sripati/ unequal houses.

Are there guidelines or special rules to be aware of when synthesizing results of Ketu or Rahu as Yogkarak with the connected planet’s Ashtakvarga scores?

Can afflictions or debilitation of Venus and Jupiter seriously spoil spiritual potential of charts with Ketu as Yogkarak?
Several charts of people past their 2nd Saturn return show this pattern of debilitated Venus and Jupiter in houses like 6th and 8th and those people achieved exceptional success and outstanding material wealth in effortless ways but rejected the path of knowing the self and have suffered internally or through illness after 48 and after rejecting spiritual potential repeatedly.

Would you perhaps consider writing about patterns of Ketu or Rahu placements or clustered eclipse births within families and spiritual or karmic implications thereby indicated?
I have collected quite a few examples of lineages with strikingly repetitive patterns, but also with examples of just one child being born with a totally different chart from everyone else in their family and I’d love reading your perspective and researching this more…. If the topic would be interesting for you and your readers.
Also could a malefic Ketu of parents spoil a potentially benefic Ketu during childhood if Dasha periods are unfavorable? Would this afflict the child’s future potential for benefic Ketu energy later in life or should such occurrence be located as malefic influence in the child’s chart all along?

Many thanks and blessings for sharing your knowledge and experiential wisdom, this blog is truly amazing and insightful imho!

yes, severely till the age of 7yrs and with reducing effect after that.
once child is 14+ its negligible, but child will have to wait till 40s to full recover

Please would you mind clarifying the question about Yogkarak concept applied via unequal houses?

Can Sripati houses be used for Rahu or Ketu as Yogkarak even if it doesn’t add up per rashi?
… eg a chart with Capricorn Lagna, Mercury Ketu close conjunct and Venus 20° further away in Scorpio, 11th Rashi but 10th house with ruler of 9th in Sripati. Bhav madhya for 9th house at 29°30 Virgo. Libra becomes Bhavheen rashi there and Venus is only Bhavesh of 4th.

Went through suggested articles again, had read them before tho, and couldn’t find any mention of the particular issue with unequal houses through index search or in articles. Researched online and every other site either works with equal houses or mixes Jyotish with western style astrology.

Sorry for asking again, I simply wanna make sure to learn Jyotish concepts and the math correctly!
Your article about the evolution of the soul was the one I found your blog through while researching. One of my favorite bookmarks of yours 💕💫 Thanks for sharing your wisdom!

        Hi there
        you are welcome 🙂

the definition is that one planet gets that much power in a chart because he owns 2 powerful houses – one material pillar and one energy driver.
the yogkaraks own houses one kendra + one kona and that is precisely why they are yogkaraks

one planet can synergistically give the material + energy benefits in a self-feeding loop.

        https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2019/04/06/yogkarak-planets-functional-benefics/

        https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2021/03/21/auspiciousness-of-the-ascendant-lord-and-the-yogkarak/

        https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2023/07/29/analysing-afflicted-ascendant-lord-and-yogkarak-planet/

rarely Rahu Ketu can also give results of this level.

        https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2019/06/26/rahu-ketu-as-yogkarak/

if a planet does not own the kona + kendra bhav/houses then he cannot be a yogkarak.

the problem with western astrology is that they stopped using ayanamsha. i think this was about 500 yrs ago. before that they used to use the correction. the Sun ‘wobbles’ on his axis. it cannot be ignored.
then they got confused between using bhavmadhya – center of house and bhavarambh -start of house. so they started using the asc degree as the start of the house
then as things started going wrong they added more made up stuff and then it went down hill

once you lose the math it is all over.

        and even in India,
the Jyotish is dominated by southern Jyotishis, and they never needed to learn unequal houses because southern Indian states are all within the tropic.
so here too people have stopped applying this to births born in the northern states.
i had a client born in Jammu and that was the time when i realised that unequal houses, the so called shripati system is the actual original system. shripati wrote about it in detail so we call it shripati system.

    Dear Ma’am,

In your earlier articles you have mentioned Ketu is comfortable in Scorpio due to matching of their energies but if Scorpio is the Ascendant, will this be a benefic placement if Mars in the 3rd house too ? Many of the things in this article regarding benefic ketu is true but your Scorpio Ascendant article is also immensely insightful and thus my doubt. Thanks a lot for sharing your wisdom and knowledge.

but in asc sign, he will give his full effct only after his maturity

      ketu in the 1st house
      ketu conjunct the ascendant lord
      3rd house
      scorpio sign
      mars
      etc ref the index page

I’ve studied some ancient astrology texts before 800CE like mediterranean, silkroad etc they used ayanamsha too, math was totally different compared to modern western style.

So much more to read and learn, with gratitude and kind regards,

Jyotish is both a para vidya and a apara vidya.
it can be used for affairs of this material world and also to gain the Eternal Realisation.
depends on how you use it.

but in any case Jyotish requires proficiency in
      Ganit Math
      Gol Astronomy
      Sanskrit

Unrelated to this post, but can we do surya namaskar during sunset (evening) too? and secondly, could you please if you have time and if it fits the topics covered in the blog, write on chandra namaskar, how to’s, mantra, use in sanatan dharm?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
I have not heard of a chandranamaskar till now.

i personally have been doing yogasans all my life. And as far as i know, yogasans as an ‘exercise’ for the body are done during the day, after sunrise and not at night.

Suryanamaskar asan sequence is to be done with mantras. else the activity becomes tamasic.
if you know the actual mantra use them, else do the soham with the breathing.
it should be done in the morning, when the sun is still golden yellow in color.

    Hi Tejaswini Ji,

I just saw your video on Black Tilak and realized this was a new video.

I actually have Ketu Rahu in 6th-12th axis

and actually one in sign of ascendent Venus and other with birth Moon!

You saying I should start wearing eyeliner!! 🙂

= On the other hand how can I ‘check’ if there is something negative, evil eye, nazar, etc. influencing me? things are certainly not rosy always I don’t feel ‘Any-One’ has put something on me personally.

= Is it possible that negative influence can take a less personalised form and maybe just a blanket of energy that keeps you away from the good in general?

Powerful video. 3rd on Tilaks yet still interesting.

    Thanks

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
i am not saying anything to you specifically.
or to anyone for that matter

i am just documenting the real ways of channelling and using power.
if someone wants to make use of it, they can, else the info will remain available online.

i write only about those things which i have done myself.

in the recent times wearing kajal has been vilified.
but wearing commercial eyeliner which has no energy is being promoted.

there is a reason why we put mantra + kajal in our eyes and on the forehead.

kajal is not just black soot/eyeliner – it is the purest essence of mantra
ghee/desires or oil/karma are burnt with specific mantra. Agni charges everything and you get the kajal..

      do not underestimate its power.

ever seen really powerful ‘tantriks’ ?
if you ever get to meet a real one, just look into his eyes, if you dare.

learn to see auras.. wrote on it

      yes,

tilaks are necessary. a bare forehead is an invitation for negativity to enter your mind/life
