My Sat Guru

My Sat-Guru is Shri Muppin Kadsiddheshwar Maharaj.

He was/ is a Realised Seer. For him, time space etc has no relevance. The Nirvishesh Brahma, the Parabrahma himself, a Jivan-mukt.

Some biographical details.

He was born on this earth on  23rd April, 1905. He was formally adopted by the 25th Shri Virupaksh Kadsiddeshwar in 1922 at the age of 17yrs and invested as the 26th Math-adhipati of the Siddhagiri Math, at Kaneri village, Kolhapur district Maharashtra. He continued in the physical body till 16th Aug 2001.

He was a master of all yogic postures, asans, Dhyan etc, eg he could do the Kumbhak for 9mins. But, in his own words, he did not find Himself until he met Shri Siddharameshwar Maharaj in 1935. At that instant when he surrendered to his Sat-Guru’s lotus-feet, he attained Jivan Mukti, the Advaita.

Shri Samarth Sadguru Shri Siddharam

My grand-Guru, Shri Siddharameshwar Maharaj, was a disciple of Shri Bhausaheb Maharaj (Inchagiri Sampraday). His Sat-Guru in turn was Shri Gurulingajangam Maharaj who in turn was the disciple of the 22nd Shri Kaadsiddheswar Maharaj. The 1st Shri Kadsiddheshwar Maharaj was Shri Revannath of the Nath Sampraday.

Shri Samarth Satguru Bhausaheb maharaj

My Sat-Guru had lakhs and lakhs of disciples and his one single mantra was Soham, the Sushumna Yog. He ‘gave’ this mantra to all his disciples with no restrictions. Every breath has to be converted to Soham consciously for the Ultimate to be achieved. There are no restrictions on where or how to practice Soham. It is the foundational Vichar of the Vedant. Just consciously recite in your mind ‘So’ while breathing in and ‘Ham’ while breathing out. Convert every breath into conscious ‘Soham’. In all the Jagrut-waking state every breath you take should be consciously with ‘Soham, (later this consciousness will extend to the Swapna-dream and Sushupti-deepest sleep etc states too.) It is as simple as this. After doing all sorts of complicated stuff himself, he finally said that Soham is the easiest mantra for everyone. He gave extensive discourses on Advaita.  Pure Advaita. The essence of ‘Tat tvam asi’, who you really are. Till the physical body’s age of 96yrs he travelled extensively and gave the Param-Jnyan for his disciples. He gave freely his Krupa, his blessings, to the common householder group, the labourers, the lower and the middle class who do not have the luxury of time. Not everyone can be a full-time Sanyasi, but everyone is entitled to do Sadhna in whatever capacity he is able to practice.

‘Aham Brahma-asmi’, this intention grows stronger and stronger with every breath you convert to conscious Soham.

My Sat-Guru-s Guru-brothers were Shri Ranjit Maharaj, Shri Ranchod Maharaj, Shri Nisargadatta Maharaj, Shri Vilasanand Maharaj, Sri Ganpatrao Maharaj, Shri Gandhi Maharaj, Shri Girkar Maharaj and many more who had also realised the Eternal Advaita. Each of these Sat-gurus had their own disciples and all ‘gave’ the Soham as the Naam-mantra. They all were disciples of Shri Siddharameshwar Maharaj and were active in their physical bodies in the past century. (If you are interested, do check up these names on the internet, they have also written several books if you wish to read.)

soham

I am putting this mini-post as a page because I have got so many messages, comments and also feedback on the phone, now people are calling me a Teacher, an enlightened person and similar stuff! And I sense the astral very easily, so I feel the emotions in your mind regarding me. Why are you wasting your energy thinking of me? I am not anything of this sort. I am but a puppet of the Eternal Advaita. I am nothing. The Advaita is everything. The Nirvishesh Brahma is everything. The Sat-Guru, the energy which pulls you towards the only Reality is everything. If you want to put your faith somewhere, put it within your Own Self. Invoke the Highest Reality within you, ‘I am That’. Soham.

If you are inclined to follow any spiritual practice or activity mentioned in this blog you must remember this. Your Sat-Guru, your Teacher, your source of Light is your own Self. You are guiding your conscious self to your Higher Self within you. This is your journey. You are your own path. You are your own destination. If you need an external source of faith, it can be your favourite deity, your Ishta Devata, your Kul Devata, your family gods, the Sun, the Bhagwans Brahmadev Vishnu Shankar, the Devis Sarasvati, Laxmi Parvati, the Paradevi Lalita Mahatripursundari. Or the abstract intelligent Universe itself. You can follow any ray of light to the source, to your own Self, the Advaita. But know that ultimately you will destroy all duality, The Guru-shishya duality is also destroyed. The Deity-disciple duality is also destroyed. Find the internal Sat guru within your own self. Focus on the pure Advaita, the Nirvishesh Brahma as your Teacher.
