Analysis of the Janma Nav Tara chakra

Analysis of the Janma Nav Tara chakra

I have written a post on the Janma Navtara chakra here. Continuing on the same concept, expanding on their role in birth horoscope interpretation.

The birth chart is the foundation horoscope, it is the physical reality that you live in. The DC 9 navamsha and the other divisional charts fine tune this basic result. A planet gives results as per his position in the birth horoscope. This is generally categorised as favourable or unfavourable. The degree of auspiciousness/ inauspiciousness is modified by several factors one of which is the the planet’s Janma Navtara chakra category.

The Janma Nav tara chakra is made as per the birth Moon’s nakshatra. The starting point is the birth Moon Nakshatra. As you know there are 9 Tara categories viz – Janma, Sampat, Vipat, Kshema, Pratyari, Sadhak, Naidhana, Mitra and Atimitra. Each category has 3 lunar mansions in it. This following is an example Janma Nav tara chakra where the birth Moon is the Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra.

Janma Tara – ‘Janma’ means ‘birth’. This category has the birth Moon nakshatra, the 10th and 19th from it.  A birth planet, if placed in these 3 nakshatra gives the exact results which it has promised. The ‘Janma tara’ category reinforces the results promised in the birth horoscope. Whatever its results are – favourable or unfavourable these are strongly reinforced by the influence of this category. Also they are linked to you by ‘birth’ and their effects last for a long period of time. However do remember that a planet’s influence in the birth chart depends on various factors.

Sampat Tara – A birth planet in this category gives significantly more than what it had promised from the basic birth horoscope. Similarly for planets in transit. If the promised result is favourable you can predict much more of the same positivity. Sampat Tara is linked to increased gains. Eg your 11th lord is in a Sampat category then you will always gain more than you expected to. But if it is unfavourable then there is a chance that this unfavourable result may also get magnified, so be careful while interpreting these positions. eg if you have your 6th lord in a Sampat tara nakshatra then he can magnify your chronic illnesses. But as overall the energy of Sampat is auspicious, you will have the strength to go through the process. Unfavourable and favourable results in astrology are a mix of several factors so judge the charts carefully.

Vipat Tara – A birth planet in this category gives the expected results but always with a lot of obstacles on the way. Similarly for planets in transit. If this planet has promised favourable results in the birth horoscope then it will give these good results but the Vipat tara will allow it to happen only after stress. These obstacles will have to be tackled with effort and the process will be tiring. Eventually the hurdles will get resolved but by the time the final success comes in you are so drained that there is no happiness or satisfaction in this. Eg suppose the a planet in the vipat category is the ruler of the birth 5th house. He is the ruler of a Kona, he has to give good results. But the Vipat tara will spoil the quality of the result. So you will get recognition or children or education or be able to express your creative abilities only after a lot of struggle. And the fruit of these 5th keywords will ultimately not give you much pleasure either.

In case this planet has promised malefic results from the birth horoscope then the category will magnify these malefic results so due care should be taken while analysing. Eg suppose your 8th house ruler is placed in this tara then it is possible that you may be required to undergo some surgery, may require re-surgery and it ultimately will not give the desired improvement in health.

Kshema Tara – Any birth planets in this category of the Janma Navtara chakra will give results which will come easily and can also be shared with others. Similarly for planets in transit. There is generally an element of surprise in these results, things happen when least expected. Eg an unexpected salary rise for you so that your entire family benefits from the increased income. Favourable results for Kshema are easy to interpret and understand as they are supportive and nourishing in nature for you and people connected to you. Kshema Tara can give easy results without stress.

You have to first judge the quality of the result, favourable or unfavourable from the basic birth horoscope. Malefic planets, just because they are placed in this Kshema category will not suddenly turn into benefics. Here the interpretation is will be something like this. Unfavourable results will be trigged in this same unanticipated manner but as the overall energy of this navtara is supportive, the negative results will be short lived and you will be able to come out of these situations faster. Eg suppose you lose your job you will find another one relatively sooner. And while you are searching for the new job you and your family will be able to generally manage on some savings etc. There will be worry but there will not be complete despair.

Pratyak Tara – This is a harsh energy of frustration and despair. If you have a planet in these nakshatras in your birth horoscope or if any in transit then you have to be ready for a very typical result. Similarly for planets in transit. The keywords connected to this planet might initially seem quite promising. A project here may give some small good results in the beginning so that you invest yourself in it. But as time goes by it will slowly become more difficult to maintain these projects. You have to keep working harder and harder in order to maintain their profitability. This can cause desperation in your heart.

Eg the 4th lord the lord of a Kendra is favourable, supports on the material levels. If he is strong, you might be able to buy land or plant an orchard. But if he is placed in a Pratyak category nakshatra then you will be forced to work even more in order to maintain your earnings at that same level. If you do not work harder he will give such a shock to your finances that you will be in utter despair. And this will happen at least once in your life. But still, he is the 4th lord, so will eventually give his positive fruits but that feeling of despair will be a life time memory. Or even in a marriage, if your 7th lord is in a Pratyak Tara, then you will see this trend. You meet someone, you get along and get married. But slowly the relationship seems to get tougher, it takes more work to connect with the spouse. A physical break requires other contributing factors but at least at the emotional level the Pratyak will show its effect.

Sadhak Tara – A ‘Sadhak’ is someone who is striving to achieve something very important. If you have a birth planet in a Sadhak category nakshatra in the Janma Navtara chakra then you will be required to work for the fruits promised by him. And you will feel hopeful, buoyant, and work hard because you want to, not because you are forced to. The results too will be encouraging, you will never think of this hard work as a burden. You will love going to office and doing your daily job. Benefic planets in this category can help you gain genuine recognition for the work you do. A malefic planet in a Sampat tara increases the work load and reduces the gains. But still, as the energy of this category is supportive to the mind, you do not shirk the extra effort. Just remember that if you ever stop working the positive effects too will stop so learn to save and invest something for a rainy day in these parts of your life.

Naidhana Tara – The energy of this Tara category is ending, killing, death, termination etc. If you have a birth planet in this category then be careful about the connected keywords. There can be a sudden and often traumatic end to the things signified by this planet. Even if the project initially seems very hopeful, it will terminate in a shocking manner which can cause you loss. Naidhana means that the fruits of that house are lost in unexpected ways. But later, if you look back on the situation you will realise that the ending was for some reasons, unavoidable. So try to be conservative in these aspects of life. Do not expect much and try to have a plan B in place.

If you have an auspicious birth planet in a Naidhana tara then you have to tackle it intelligently. Check for positive transits where you can make use of the energy. And keep a note of the unfavourable transits where you can be better prepared. Be ready for a lot of ups and downs in this process. You will lose something here so do not get too attached to these results. Eg you take up a new job, shift to a new city, rent a new house there and suddenly you are laid off. Or you invest in an apparently good stock option and suddenly the market crashes. Or just as your marriage date was being finalised the alliance itself was broken.

Mitra Tara – this word means a ‘friend’ so the energy of this Tara is generally supportive and easy going. If you have any birth planet in this category then your tip of the day is to ask help from someone else in the matters of this house. You will progress faster as Mitra tara is a supportive energy. And you will also find several people around you who would be willing to help you. Use this energy intelligently to gain in life. But in case a malefic planet is placed in the Mitra tara then you should be careful in choosing your helper in the projects connected to this planet. Your associates, helpers, team-members may have a negative intention towards you in these matters. Or you may not be able succeed in your venture because some promised help was withdrawn. Or you could not complete a project because the right person didn’t support you.

Atimitra Tara – This means ‘extreme friend’ and is linked to those people who are really close to you, family members or genuine friends. Again the same concept as the Mitra tara above, you will succeed when your ‘closest friend’ helps you. Any auspicious birth planet in this Janma Navtara chakra category is capable of giving you very highly beneficial results as he will bring the best helpers to you. You will have a group of people around you who will be committed to you. Eg if the 7th house lord is in an Atimitra nakshatra then your business partners, your life partner, your spiritual practice will give you extraordinary support. Atimitra tara is connected to close relationships.

On the other side if you have any malefic planet in this Tara then you should be careful. eg suppose your 6th lord is in the Atimitra tara, then you might be deprived of close friends. Or anyone who gets too close to you ultimately betrays you. Or the people whom you think to be close are actually using your resources. This has to be judged as per the individual horoscopes.

Thus now you know how to analyse the impact of the Janma Navtara chakra categories on your birth planets results. The ascendant degree/ Lagna is also a force in the chart so note the Tara in which this degree falls in too.

Then there is another way of looking at all this. You know your birth chart and know which houses/signs your birth planets are in. And you know their Tara. So link their Tara information to their respective houses and signs. Eg In our sample horoscope above, the Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra lies in Pisces sign. The Birth Moon is in the Janma tara. So the Pisces sign and its significations will also be linked to the Janma tara energy. Suppose this person has his Pisces – Moon in the 4th house then the energy of the Janma tara will subtly affect the 4th house too, through the Moon.

Yet another way, and especially for the empty houses of the horoscope. Find out the central degree of the house and note which Tara it falls in. This Tara will subtly influence the activities of that house.

Remember this point: At the Nakshatra level, consider their effect on the mind first and then their implications on the physical situation. Here the Janma Navtara chakra is used to analyse the birth horoscope and the transits. It can give you useful information handling challenges in life. It is a necessary tool for those who wish to learn Jyotish.

We use Astrology to understand our own strengths and weaknesses. The objective is to build on the strengths and address the weakness. Do use this information mindfully and try to bring about a positive change in your live. If your goal is the material then pursue it with full passion. And if it is spiritual, even then do not ignore the material. Always utilise Jyotish in a positive spirit for self discovery.

Namaste! Will the positions of transit planets give similar effects temporarily as they move through the nakshatras? Thanks.

      Hi there
yes, very much so. effects will last as long as the transit.

if you are an advanced student then try to understand how the kakshya work in ashtakvarga.

    Hi Tejaswini Ji,

This is quite a deep level of Jyotish for me anyway as it seems to go beyond Nakahatras, but thank you for your lesson.

I had a query I wished to ask you. I have actually been going through your earlier posts and have learnt a lot!

In one you said learning about the Mandukya Upanishad would be good, including Bhashya.

So I look it up and found two that seem to fit the bill.

    – Mandukya Upanisad And Gaudapada’s Karikaka by Swami Chinkayananda – but doesn’t explicitly mention Shankara on the cover

    – The Mandukya Upanishad with Gaudapada’s Karika & Sankara’s Commentary by Swami Nikhilananda which does

Was hoping on your input in making a decision on this.

    Thank you

      Hi there
that is why i was not so inclined to write on nakshatra based analysis. and this is a very basic one.
but at least this post serves as a reminder that Jyotish is a life time study.

      follow the standard sequence,
      Isha
      Kena
      Katha
      Prashna
      Munda
      Mandukya
      Taitreya
      Aitreya
      Chandogya
      Bruhadraranyak

but before that read the BG at least once.

for translations – choose in your language of preference.
Gita press is always an option.
Chinmay mission has several good books in english.
choose the books which are wrtten by the Swami and not by the disciples. the older the better.

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
they will give results of both signs. and the rest will depend on the degree of the asc, their houses, signs, planets conjunct/aspecting, position of their sign lord, nakshatra involved, D9 status.

and finally it will depend on the question that your client has asked.

Greetings! I’m curious about your interpretation of using the Lagna Nakshatra as a starting point for material and physical results.

For instance if trying start a new project, or timing when it is the best time to start a new business, would it be best to consult the Janma Tara Chakra using the Lagna or staying with the Moon as the starting point?

    Thank you 🙏🏼

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
the chakra as per the std texts has the moon as the starting point.

for muhurt – electional astrology – there are several other methods.
there are several books on this.
      a perfect muhurt is impossible.
but even if the basic 5 elements of the panchang are supportive, then the time is considered to be favourable.
if you want to use a chakra then the sarvatobhadra is the better option.

    Namaste,
I have a philosophical question. I agree Jyotish is a lifelong study and this post highlights the intricacies involved. My question is why are we linking ourselves to these transits and positions of our planets, isn’t it simply easier to just accept everything as karma, the will of God, and be at peace with whatever comes, both the good and bad because God is the karma-phala daata of everything. For example if I anticipate a bad upcoming transit, instead of worrying about how this is going to upend my life, can I simply bow down and accept it as God’s will and the result of some past karma, and believe this too shall pass like everything else. Or you think this is too fatalistic of an attitude? Thank you.

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
if your mind can do all this without any support from any other external sources then it is great.. you have an exceptional mind/manas.
but beyond the manas is the buddhi, which has to be refined to reach the core Ahamkaar.
this ahamkaar has to be destroyed by intelligence supported by the correct Shastra. (shastra is – shashanat trayate, that which helps by giving the rules)

Ultimately every jivatma desires to know itself and claim that Paramatma as its own Self. this desire is called Mumukshatva. not everyone has it. but those who have it are eligible for studying Atmajnyan. those who do not have it, practice certain disciplines /shastra to develop it.
the purpose of this life is to claim that ‘I Am That’. once it is claimed then the very concept of karma and karmaphal is destroyed.

But for people whose minds need support to navigate the vagaries of life we have all these Shastra from Jyotish to Sangeet, Natya, Ayurved Shri Vidya, Upanishads, Karmakand etc. these are necessary for 99.99% of us.
even you must be taking medicines when you fall ill, or do you say its fine its my karma so i will continue suffering from the disease.

My Guru used to say that we have been given all these shastra so that we can Act in the best possible manner.
Just bowing down and accepting ‘fate’ not Life.
even animals and plants fight back.
      Life is a Sangharsh.
if you do not have the courage to stand and fight on your own personal Kurukshetra then you are not a real follower of Dharma.
You have to choose and Act. only after you have done your Karma, do you have the luxury of bowing down your head to whatever the karmaphaldata gives you.

This is why Bhagwat Gita should be taught in schools as a compulsory subject. It takes courage to live life in the real sense.

Dharma gives no one, absolutely no one this luxury to sit back and not Act.
Not even Shri Ram or Shri Krishna who were avtars of Shri Vishnu had this luxury.

but again this is all from the Astik Darshan Shasta pov.

      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2024/01/10/sanatan-dharma-is-astik-darshan/

if all this does not make sense to your mind/ intelligence then yes, there is actually no need to study jyotish or any other dharma shastra.

It makes perfect sense to me, thank you for this wonderful reply. My manas is as variable as anyone else’s, but yes, reading the Gita and shastras help me use my Buddhi, the chariot analogy from Katha Upanishad is particularly useful in that regard. But I do have to thank you for these blogs, because finding this website was the definitely the first clue to how to use my Buddhi intelligently to control my Mind. Naturally I stumbled upon your blog during a bad time in my life, but it was a blessing in disguise. Thank you for writing. Am very much a work in progress myself, but yes now I know what the end goal is, and also if it doesn’t happen in this life, may God give the Grace not to fall again in this life and continue this in next life. Om 🙏

    Pranaam Ma’am,
I wanted to know if we can use this to also judge the effects of the mahadasha. eg: two birth planets placed in Naidhana tara and running their dashas back to back, like Jupiter and Saturn (just for eg, can also use Rahu MD) – since they are long dashas and if they both placed in naidhana tara, can we judge it to be relatively an unfortunate long time for a person.

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
      yes,
birth planets placed in naidhana should be handled with due understanding.
you can use this time to get into those activities which require this sort of energy. energy by itself is not bad. just try to find a proper application / outlet.

eg i know someone whose lagna lord with rahu in naidhana. also asc degree in naidhana. he is a surgeon who deals with high risk patients all the time.

“Dharma gives no one…Not even Avatars had this luxury”.
Yes from our standpoint, Both Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna, acted to show us the right paths and how to act in keeping Dharma, but from their standpoints, they were enacting their individual Leelas, fully in control of their Prakritis and in full awareness of their True Self. That’s the lesson for us from the Gita and our epics. All that action amidst inaction. 🙏

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
so choose, are you equivalent to ‘them’ or ‘us’.
either with full confidence and understanding assert that you are the exact same as Shri Krishna or Shri Ram or Parameshwar itself .. or like ‘us’ strive to reach that goal.

      its your own choice always.

but still i will add one point
what was the purpose of the avtars?
to show that if you are in a human body you are required to ‘Act’ for Dharma.
either as Shri Krishna’s ‘yada yada hi dharmasya…..’ ‘actionless action’ style or as Arjun stand there and fight.
      there is no third option.

  9. Seeker Avatar
    Seeker

Oh definitely not claiming to be “them” now 🙂 Am very much aware of my own human fallacies, which makes me part of “us” striving to that end goal. I agree there is not a third option to act, most of us all start out like Arjuna, and only a blessed few can truly act out in Krishna’s style in their lives 24*7. 🙏

    Namaste,

Your blog has been one of a few very supportive resources for me over the past few years.

I checked my janma navatara chakra now and noticed Venus is the most inauspicious of the nine planets, being in a naidhana tara. This was interesting because I have noticed that since 2012, when Venus goes vakri, something bad has often (but not always) happened to me or my parents (usually a serious disease being diagnosed). When Venus went vakri in late 2021, I first noticed this pattern and began reciting a mantra, and nothing happened during the next vakri period last year.

My Vimshottari dasha (of Rahu, who is in MKS in Vrishabha) didn’t change in, around, or since 2012, so I am not sure whether any astrological factor changed at that time. However, in 2011, we bought a little glass frame with a picture of Shiva, Parvati, and Ganesha together, but when we brought it home in our car’s trunk, the glass broke. A few months after that, I began to suffer from severe depression, and the series of misfortunes relating to Venus going vakri began the following year. We kept the glass for 11 years (perhaps because of fear of handling it incorrectly, as well as simple inertia) until visarjana was done in a local river in 2022.

God gave me a partial answer about the cause of these misfortunes in late 2021 (I noticed the pattern one week after I began the Venus mantra for an unrelated reason). I am not asking for a reading, and with this limited information a reading might not even be possible; but I would like to learn more about this phenomenon. The little information on retrogression I found from my (limited) study of jyotisha was contradictory: they can give the effect of the 12th house or the 7th house from the planet’s placement; they can strengthen or weaken the planet; etc.

I have wondered whether it is possible Venus could be harming me as the 2nd lord (despite being 9th lord) and is strengthened during retrogression, or is simply unable to help me due to being weakened during retrogression. Perhaps Venus is indirectly benefiting me, sort of like a viparita raja yoga: for example, in early 2022 (when Venus was still vakri) my dad had a mild heart attack, but this led to the discovery of severe heart disease which could have led to a severe heart attack at any time; the mild heart attack perhaps made it possible for him to survive. What could it be in this case?

Have you heard of similar cases? Can you point me to any relevant information? Also, are there other remedies I could explore?

I would be grateful if you could answer some of these questions.

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
for personal readings you should refer to your astrologer. and for medical issues consult a medical professional.

      Generally
Retrograde planets are stronger than forward

virgo asc, generally venus is not problematic unless he is very badly placed. the broken image seems to tally here.

do pujas of your Kuldevata. it should help.
      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2022/02/06/kuldevata-and-ishtadevata/

or at least offer water to a shivlingam home or temple on mondays as possible. this serves as an all round remedy.

or if you are convinced that all this was triggred by shukra then do shri sukta sincerely on shukravar.

      Hi there
i have written about so much more than just jyotish.
Written more on jyotish because i wanted to share my experiences/understanding. it is the first shastra i studied in this life and i love it.

i will also write on the rest of the vedangs, and the other shastras.
at least a few posts on each of our Shastras so that the modern Hindu at least knows what our Sanatan Dharma really is. it is simply magnificent.

today ‘sacred science’ is seen as a joke or at least something outdated.
if i say i know ‘Vyakaran shastra’ you will roll your eyes. but if i say i am am expert at ‘cognitive linguistics’ then you will look at me with respect.

as an individual whatever i do, it has to reflect on my family and also on the society.
if i just sit in a room and do tantra sadhana for my entire life it is not acceptable.
i have to teach my family, then i have to repay my debt to the society.

moksh is just a shift in perspective.
but it is on the intellectual level.
so you have to take up at least one shastra of sanatan dharma to prepare the intelligence because ultimately you have to take up the Upanishads and Shri Vidya both together.
so choose any one shastra to prepare your buddhi. do your school level properly and then the PhD will be a cakewalk.

eg – i wrote on simple sangeet sadhana here.

      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2022/07/05/simple-sangeet-sadhana/

of course you can Know the Self without learning Jyotish.

to know the self the route is
      Bhagwat Gita
      10 Upanishads
      BG Bhashya
      Vivekchudamani for a final summary.
and if you understand the upanishds the corresponding tantra books/teachers will also be made available to you on the route.

You I think a good introductory post would be amazing!

Like you have done this page in the various categories.

Perhaps one of the Shastras as I think the 6 Vedangs are easily researched and quite in depth.

Also perhaps some ways to get the mist quickly. I.e. I’m a pretty ‘good generalist’. I’ve picked up Jyotish quite well for complete novice but as you’ve said here it can be a lifetime of study. Also your recommended course with all those books, that’s like a careers.

I’m not saying it should all be easy. But you already do that in some ways, I.e. Sanskrit maybe taking 6 months to a year. Or ideal mantras to chant, sangeeta.

So perhaps the Shastras and basic method to get a grasp and then what a deep dive might entail.

Thank you for all you do 🙂

The points you made on the above comment reminded me on your recent post ‘Ram Mandir – Part 2’ recently where you spoke of the need to do for Dharma.

You say above, that we must have the courage to make the right moves on our ‘own personal’ Kurukshetra, but essentially to Act.

My question is how do we align ourselves with this?

To get out of stagnation, confusion, lack of will or focus etc.

For whatever, reading, going to the gym, starting a business or doing a sadhana. To clarify that aim, act with joy and share the rewards.

Not being able to just get on with it, really seem like a challenge. Unsure about the next move etc.

What if inability to act is the actual issue but there’s a tremendous amount of desire to start taking action?

the mind if allowed to run around is dangerous but if utilised properly is the greatest asset.

think for yourself. ask questions, search for answers.
      learn something new everyday.
we humans have the greatest tools, a mind and an intelligence, both! dont just use these utilise them.
choose your goal, take a decision and move towards it.
every goal in this material world has to be material – education, marriage, children, money, job, etc. do it all.
but if you have that love for your deity in your mind automatically this material stuff also becomes a Ishwarprasad, becomes a sadhana.
that is the essence of Karmayog in BG.
support all this with your daily pujas, at least 5 mins in the morning /evening. from your Q you are either a balyashrami or gruhastashrami. so do what you are supposed to do.

i have written about several easily doable things in my post on Shri Ram mandir ..

    Hi,

Thank you for your answer 🙂

You always say Manah Sayyam to me lol!

But ultimately it’s that, generally speaking that is a root cause of issues for most people for many things, so I appreciate the reminder.

Just saying, after I got to know my chart a bit, very novice, but Rahu with Moon in 12th explained a Lot of things!

But I don’t mind working to gain Grace and support.

I actually have queries regarding your answer to someone above, where you gave 3 suggestions:

    1) I’m visiting India quite soon, been many times but first time I guess I’ll be making a visit to my Kuldevi mandir in Rajasthan. Might even do Navratri Sadhana there if it’s good.

But I don’t know what to ask the pandit, or whichever priest runs the place, is there a certain kind of Puja I can ask them to do or you can suggest that helps me ‘invoke’ my Kuldevi. Once I’ve done this I’m very good at explaining these things to others especially ones raised abroad.

Translating the importance of Kuldevi to them which sounds weird otherwise for example. My friends non Indian who are into spirituality, and other ancient cultures get it instantly, though these types are very few in general, they get the fact that a lineage has a certain deity where a connection has been made.

So I’d appreciate advice on what to do, ask for in that week there.

    2) The Shivling, can I just ‘buy one of Amazon’ and put some gangajal (also from Amazon!) on it on Monday and chant ‘Om Namath Shivaya’ – that’s it?

    3) I’ve actually started chanting Sri Suktam anyways in the morning, was so happy when I saw you recommend it, as I literally wondered if you would have written anything on it. Just once in the morning – for now.

Oh yeah! That page the ‘sure shot’ one I have on my Home Screen now and use that version you have on it, trying to chant along and get the pronunciation right. I got blessed by knowing it’s importance, but you played a important part in me being able to securely turn it into a habit. Thank you.

My Guru says Manah sayyam to everyone. i just repeat it. whatever i write is his words.
that is the first and the only rule.

      1. do use the index page.

      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2022/02/06/kuldevata-and-ishtadevata/

      2. you can buy it from wherever you like or make it with your hands

      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2021/12/05/pure-soil-and-its-use-in-pujas/

yes, even that much is enough.

i might write a small post on the sequence that i follow for my Shivling puja.

    Hello Mam
Would like to compliment you on the excellent nature of the posts you write. The insights provided is great and understandable by not so advanced people.

Mam in the context of the above post a very basic question is that each of the above Tara have a characteristic behaviour. Just wanted to understand the influencing parameter due to which the Tara acquires the behaviour e.g. the Naidhana Tara denotes endings, killings etc. What factor influences to have such nature/tendencies.

    Tks

      Hi there
its just like asking why should the Moon own Cancer rashi. its coz their energies match

unless you wanted to ask something else, and i have misunderstood the Q.

  17. Deepak Sharma Avatar

    Tks Mam.

That’s exactly the point. How do you know that their energies match my limited understanding is that we evaluate the significations and come to the conclusion that they have similar energies.

Similarly each of the Tara would have a group of 3 nakshatras who would display same set of behavior. That could be based on same Lord, Diety, Guna etc. I was just trying to understand the commonality based on the underlying characteristics of Nakshatras.

Pls do forgive me if i am unable to explain.

      Jyotish is a Vedang.

It was not invented and nor is it an empirical science. it was not established through experiments.

it was ‘seen’ by our Seers, the Mantra Drashta Rishi s and Manansheel Muni s saw these energies.
they then wrote these books in Sanskrit for us. because regular humans at that time could not see the energies like they did but they could read and understand our mother tongue sanskrit.

and now we are incapable of understanding these sanskrit books too.. a really shabby and sorry state

      example –
when i say 1 you know it is one, एक , the quantity 1 flashes in your mind. its spelling, sound of the word one and एक etc
if i keep one pencil in front of you, your mind recognises this to be is 1 item and is the same as one and एक
how does your mind associate the 1 in the ‘1 pencil’ and link the 1 one एक sound of one sound of एक etc as the same thing?
      you ‘see’ it.

similarly the Rishis saw the entire Jyotish shashtra.

    Regarding the above queries.

Was a reason given for 12 Rashis vs 9 Grahas.

I get that Nakshatra aggregates form signs, where the overall energy coressponds to a certain Graha.

Then why 5 have a ‘dual nature’ running two signs, Sun and Moon only 1 and Rahu Ketu nil?

      Hi there
i had answered this in an earlier comment.

Ved, Vedang Shastra of Sanatan Dharma are all Darshan Shastra, not an belief, idea, philosophy, experiment, not an article of faith etc.

there is no equivalent word for ‘Darshan’ in english.

      http://psychologicallyastrology.com/2020/07/17/chakra-graha-and-the-rashi/

The language should not be taken literally. these are all in sutra form

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
1.yes, if you find the right Vaidya an expert in Ayurved shastra.

      2. if you use this word ‘defy’ , ie issue a challenge to Prakruti then no.

      3. karma is an ever changing item. 3 types – stored corpus, you endure/enjoy some, add some.
but ‘law of karma’ is ultimate.
only Guru can change it for deserving jivatmas, but to qualify for that lots of effort is needed.

    2. Can I do japa while travelling to office, though I will be not sitting on my asana. Can the counts be considered.
    3. Can i use digital counters that can be tied on the finger?

Please advice. Sorry for any mistakes

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
the value of the Asan is tht it protects you while u do this.

when you do any intense puja/jaap/ etc you build up energy.
the aura lights up, its like the beam of a lighthouse.
and undesirable entities are attracted. they try to steal this energy you have built up.

so you can tell Her all this and ask Her for protection and if She agrees there will be a sign. but if there is no response from Her then its your choice..

      you can use digital counters.

but the best essential oils which you can afford. i dont recommend any brand. someone may be able to afford @ Rs 50k / 10ml and some @Rs 500/10ml.

take a few drops on your palms and apply with your hands.

If I may ask a question, how can one interpret the results of an auspicious planet(Lagnesh, Yogkarak etc) in a favorable house (kendra, but in an unfavorable Nakshatra (Pratyari,Naidhana..etc)?

Would it be correct to say the mind (counting from the moon) would be in conflict in accepting the physical results or would not be able to judge the longterm good given by the auspicious planet?

We would be grateful for your precious guidance and inputs. Again, words cannot express the gratitude that we feel 🙏🙏🙏

Sincere gratitude, heartfelt prayers and best wishes as always,

      Hi there
so many options – will depend on the personal horoscope
the struggle will be on the mental levels.
you may not get the successes you desire.
the solutions will be right under your nose yet not be able to see

eg in a chart, the persons asc degree, asc lord, both are in a naidhana nakshatra. both are very strong etc. this person never gets any credit for his genius ideas. he takes up path breaking initiatives. out of the box, lateral thinker, multitasker etc apply to him and his ideas.
but as his ideas/ creative genuis is 10yrs in advance of his time. so his directors do not understand the value of the ideas. the company does not implement the ideas. but 10yrs later, these same ideas are ‘re-discovered’ and implemented . by then he has moved on emotionally from the idea/success. he is extremely well off, does not need the extra money or credit from these ideas. just that when he is really excited about that idea, no one understands the value of it.

        Dear Tejaswini Ma’m,

I was so so struck by what you have described in the above answer… My Ascendant is in Naidhana (Shatabhisha) and I have faced this. Only difference is the planet in Asc and Naidhana (Jupiter) is the owner of 2d and 11th house, which are related to materialistic energies, i.e. money. As a result , after successful earning, I hit a terrible roadblock. Your earlier answer talks about using these vipareet energies constructively (ie a person becoming a surgeon). But how to twist and use the distorted energies of the above houses i.e.- dhana sanchay related, materialistic houses- in a constructive manner ? Just confused here.

Again, many thanks for being our guiding light and direction giver !

One question related to Naidhana Tara energies .

If 6th lord is in Naidhana Tara , does that mean debts , diseases will end abruptly or does that mean diseases , debts will occur all of a sudden ?

My thought here is since Naidhana causes negative impact on native , debts /diseases may occur all of a sudden

On same lines , if malefics house lords are in 3,5,7 Tara’s then situation will be more worse right?
Benefic house lords in 3,5,7 Tara is anyway a stress .

    Can you please clarify .

    Thanks ,
    Sirisha

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
good that you are analysing things on your sample charts.
nakshatra analysis is on a deeper level, it is not simple material effects.

if the dushamshtan lord is in the turbulent Tara then check his strengths – ashtakvarga, or Bala, or whatever level you are on.
if he is still capable of some auspiciousness then yes the ill fortune can end suddenly.
but he is the 6th lord so will also manage to give that much stress in that limited time.
      so be careful when interpreting.

one option is to look back into the past experiences with illness, servants, etc. you will see a trend.
this is why earlier Jyotishis would take clients from families in the same area. they would have some background information available to cross check with the horoscope details.

one chart where the asc lord and asc degree both in naidhana. her death came very suddenly. like in 1min. and for no logical medical reasons. there was no pain, nothing at all. later i calculated the punya horoscope and it was extraordinary. the person must have gone to a very high Lok. so her death may seem like a shock for others but for her it gave a very huge jump in energy.
