Jupiter, Devguru Bruhaspati enters Taurus on 1st May 2024 and immediately goes combust on 7th May 2024 till 6th Jun 2024 (as per drikpanchang) for 30days. Jupiter, the Devguru Bruhaspati, gets combust when he get within 11deg of the Sun, this is Guru Asta. (YouTube video here)
The Sun evaporates him, dries him out, absorbs his power. Thus Jupiter cannot exercise his powers independently. All of Jupiter’s significations become tainted by the keywords of the Sun. This means that both the Gurus are not available as, during this time, Venus, Daityaguru Shukracharya is also combust from 25th Apr 2024 to 29th Jun 2024 for 66days. And a highly potent Angarak yog, Mars Rahu conjunction is operating in Pisces from 24th April 2024 to 1st Jun 2024. Jupiter and Venus are both unavailable in the skies, and the cruel planets, kroor graha – Sun, Mars, Rahu Ketu and Saturn will overpower everything in this time.
During this time, the combust Jupiter in Taurus will be rushing through Krutika nakshatra. The Krutika lunar mansion is ruled by the nakshatra devata, Agni, ie conscious Fire. Again a fiery energy added to the mix.
This Krutika nakshatra is primarily an aggressive one, it wants to remain active all the time, otherwise it feels restless. It is not diplomatic by nature. It is proud, ambitious, royal etc. Krutika does not forgive and neither does it forget. It has a lot of stamina, can endure and has the will power to achieve what it wants. It relates to fire, intelligence, learning, knowledge, pioneering spirit, a desire to adventure and to explore. It is also connected to armies, fighting, explosions, sudden extreme rage, piercing actions, sharp cuts and separations. The Sun is very comfortable in this nakshatra, it suits his energy. So the actual conjunction of Jupiter and Sun in Krutika, from 11th – 25th May will be intense.
The energies of Krutika will increase heat overall. So in the naturally hot places, eg deserts, its influence will be more amplified. All the professions connected with Krutika will feel the heat, an inner restlessness to be always active. This would be the government machinery, armies, teachers, lawyers, miners, doctors, anyone who works with fire or equipment which cuts. This overdose of fire is not very useful and cannot be easily channelised into productive actions.
And Taurus is the most determined sign of the zodiac, it is also the most hard working, practical sign. Jupiter combust here means that everyone will be more stubborn than usual. And will be confused on the practical levels. So do not expect systems, procedures, rules etc to be followed in this time. Practical activities of any sort or practical work which is done with the hands or machines will not be up to the mark.
This time will be more intense for you –
- If you have any birth planet or ascendant degree in Krutika
- If your current Mahadasha or Antardasha owner is combust
- If you have Jupiter combust in your birth chart.
The birth Moons of Taurus, Libra, Sagittarius and Pisces will be hit hard as their owners, Jupiter and Venus are not in a position to guide and protect them. Even in these, Taurus and Pisces will suffer more. Rest will be denied and sleeplessness for several days at stretch will impact all the areas of their lives. For all of us wherever Taurus and Pisces are placed in the horoscope, these areas of life will be troublesome. In fact, Pisces is the worst hit as it is the most sensitive sign of the zodiac, now hosting the Angarak yog and its owner, Jupiter is combust.
Then the Aries and Scorpio birth Moons will feel over confident, make rash mistakes which will haunt them later. Things will improve for them only when the Angarak yog dissolves and Mars enters his own Aries.
For Leo ascendants, there is a typical reading. Your ascendant lord, a natural cruel planet has now swallowed two saumya graha who are also major benefics. If your birth chart has the capacity to handle this burst of power and you are going through a favourable dasha period, only then you can take up risky endeavours and gain through them. But for most Leo ascendants, selfishness and lack of common sense will lead to problems in the long run.
For the remaining 7 signs, a general disturbance in life connected to the keywords of Mars, Sun, Jupiter and Venus will exist in this time frame.
Thus the ‘heat’ on various levels will be extreme. This May 2024 will be simply ‘hot’. This ‘heat’ will manifest as increase in temperatures, forest fires, rage issues, increase in conflicts, opening of new war zones in the world, etc. In Bharat, the elections are going on and during this delicate period, these combinations will trigger unrest, violence, corruption etc. The election politics will reach a new low. People should be careful regarding personal health as ‘heat’ related issues from dehydration to risky behaviour and accidents will increase. Geotectonic movements under the earth can cause earthquakes and volcanoes, especially under the sea. Rains will be delayed in some places and in some places excessive rains in the form of cyclones etc can occur leading to floods etc. This time is not favourable for our nation, Bharat as this energy release is occurring in the ascendant sign itself.
Do not expect fairness, justice or even normal sensible behaviour in this time. Hard work, honesty, and the other ‘good behaviour’ will not help you at least in May 2024 as the natural malefics have completely overpowered the natural benefics. During this time, people who follow Sanatan Dharma will not perform any auspicious activities. Jyotish is very much a part of Sanatan Dharma. Vedic Sanskars including marriages are not performed. Large transactions, new projects etc are not initiated in this time. This is not a good time for speculation or risky ventures. Only exception is if you have a very strong and auspicious Rahu active for you and are going through a very favourable Dasha period.
For most of us this time is turbulent and must be navigated with due care. And for that rare few, this time is when extreme risks and playing at very high stakes can reward with extraordinary gains.
Remedies are the same three options, intelligent behavioural changes, Mantra and Daana. Students of Jyotish can try the behavioural adaptations if they have understood the energy dynamics. Mantra for Jupiter are several, the basic beej mantra is ‘Om graam greem graum sah Gurave namah’. It can be recited every Thursdays for 108 repeats. And the Daan items for Jupiter are yellow colored flowers or cloth, sweet and fatty food items etc. And Daan is not a ‘charity’, these items must be given to Bhagwan Bruhaspati in a Navagraha temple, or in the alternative to your Kuldevata or Ishtadevata temple, or a genuine Brahmin or to the rivers or the sea/ Bhagwan Varun. Bhagwan Agni – Homa can be done with the mantra and ghee. Finally, daily pujas which include giving daily Arghya to the newly risen Sun, are necessary as the remedial pujas need this basic energy framework to work.
This alignment of combust Jupiter and Venus, coupled with the potent Mars-Rahu conjunction indicates an intense period of challenges and disruptions. The fiery influence of Krutika nakshatra amplifies the heat, restlessness and aggression. This turbulent phase requires us to exercise caution and be prepared.
