The sure-shot solution for prosperity

The sure-shot solution for prosperity

For those who have genuine problems in life, there is one perfect remedy – the Shri-Sukta from the Rg- Ved. Luckily for us our ancient Rishis have given us so many tools to live a better life, from Jyotish to the Sukta.

Each one of us thinks that he/she is unique, but we are all the same. Ther are only these limited types of problems – health, wealth, relationships, litigations, profession, children, education. And all these can be easily addressed by this one all-round remedy. You have to do this remedy yourself with the intention and the genuine desire to come out of the problem. Self-pity and expecting that someone else will pull you out of your problem never works.

This Shri Sukta pdf to the perfect text of the Shri-Sukta, the verses/ shlok from 1 to 15 are the Shri Sukta. Verse 16 is the phala-shruti, ie it tells you what you will get if you recite this Sukta. For those who can read and pronounce Sanskrit words, recite it. Will take 2 mins of your time. But most of us cannot read our own mother tongue, the Devbhasha Samskrutam, so here is the Shri sukta recited perfectly by the singer Uma Mohan. (Do buy this same track, here the pronunciation is perfect, there are no mistakes). She follows the Shri Sukta with the Mahalaxmi Gayatri. Very beautiful. You can listen to this if you cannot read. Will take 4 mins of your time.

When to recite or listen to it? Twice a day is ideal, once after you have your bath in the morning and once at evening twilight. If you feel like it you can listen to it on a loop throughout the day, it is an energy boost. Some of my businessmen clients play it on a loop in their shops as it is in itself Prosperity, Shri श्री.

Here you are invoking the power of the highest form of Prosperity श्री to come to you in every way possible. You are requesting Shri to enter your body, mind and soul. It is a very intense and deep intention and always works for your benefit. Highly auspicious in every way possible. ‘Shri’ means the goddess of wealth, Devi Laxmi, the active energy of the Satva-Gun, wealth, beauty, radiance, splendour, welfare, power, grace, shine, success, fortune, process, symbol, might, dignity, etc. All the meanings are extremely positive on all levels.

Shri- Sukta will work for all your problems, try it for 21days with full intention and see for yourself.

To activate the Navavarna mantra

Next, if you have typical problems, ie if you know what your exact problem is and what you want. Then you can recite one verse from the Ashta-Laxmi stotra to add specific direction to your Shri-sukta rendition. There are 8 verses in the Ashta-Laxmi stotra, one for each of the following aspects of Devi Laxmi. The Shri-Sukta works well on its own and quite powerfully too, this one verse would be an additional thing if you want to do it. Or you can listen to the entire Stotra. Here is a recitation by the singer Gayatri, do buy it if you like it. She has sung it beautifully, you can listen to the entire stotra on the way to your office if you feel like it, rather than movie songs which have no energy.

  • 1st verse is for Aadi Laxmi – for spiritual progress and moksh
  • 2nd verse is for Dhanya Laxmi – for health, removal of poverty, for getting house/properties, medical emergencies
  • 3rd verse is for Dhairya Laxmi – for courage for facing a particular situation, intelligence, calmness eg before an interview, that flash of inspiration when you are stuck in work, issues in profession,
  • 4th verse is for Gaja Laxmi – this gives sheer power, physical/ emotional/ mental
  • 5th verse is for Santaan Laxmi – for children, for help during conception, pregnancy, delivery and for anything to do with children
  • 6th verse is for Vijay Laxmi – all round successes, eg during litigations, court cases, disputes
  • 7th verse is for Vidya Laxmi – for successes in exams or in learning technical subjects, when you start learning a new topic, to make what you learn work for you
  • 8th verse is for Dhan Laxmi – for money and material assets, prosperity in marriage

This will work for everyone irrespective of anything. The Sukta and the Stotra are both in Sanskrit so have inherent power, they are essentially mantra. These will not cause harm in any way to anyone. But they will not give you what is not yours, ie cannot be used to cheat others or to steal what is rightfully other’s stuff. Do it only if you are convinced of your right and positive intention.

If you want to, in addition, you can keep a small silver moorti of Devi Laxmi in your puja. Or an image. Or if you are more into geometry, an image of the Shri Chakra. At least keep such images as your phone’s wallpaper, rather than something random. It is perfect prosperity. This will help channelise the energies faster into your own self into your own life, rebalancing it.

Thank You so much for this post!
The rendition of the Shri Suktam (as you have given by Uma Mohan) is so very beautiful to me.
I am getting somewhat addicted !!

For those few minutes of listening I feel that I am transported almost to a different energy level, especially with my eyes closed to the daily mundane distractions.

However troubling my emotions at I start the day ( must be to do with all these forceful retrograde planets we are having!) listening to this gives me peace and the feeling that I am blessed and can tackle anything with fortitude!
    😊

In the above link, bindu/dot is pronounced as ‘am’ and ‘an’.
    Shouldn’t it be as ‘ang’?

    Pranams,

Thanks for this post; I loved this sukta but was apprehensive to chant due to wrong information- only brahmins / with deeksha / etc.
I am very grateful to your guidance – and read a post everyday!

Please can you do a post on the chanting of the Sri Lakshmi Gayatri

Please can you help me with mantras to improve children’s grasping power / improve concentration which is simple and they can start chanting. Presently praying to Hanuman ji (Saturn lord of 4th in 12th and the child is not interested in studies)

    Thanks in advance

Please comment on this question I have had for a long time. We all know the story of Valmiki- how Narada muni made him realize that even though his family shared the stolen goods, the bad karma was his alone. Then why does astrology say, your great grand father threw some one out of the house, so you are suffering now, or a grandma died because she was ill treated, so she cursed your lineage etc etc ( just random examples)…pitr dosh or even ‘sins of the father visit the son’ etc. How can we reconcile both views? Thanks!

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
the family will suffer negative karma to an extent, they used the goods knowing that they were stolen. they cannot escape this.

but Valmiki had also killed the people whom he had robbed. wore their fingers or something if i remember correctly, ie was needlessly cruel. so that action and its repercussions belonged to him alone. the family had no karmic link with this part.

pitru dosh and the ‘sins of the ancestors’ do exist
and also the punya of the ancestors and the blessings of the kuldevata
and its not your ancestors actions giving karmic fruits to you..
it is actually your own past lives karma
you choose such a family where the karmic resonance exists and you can go thru your own positive /negative karmic fruits.
i hope the concept is clear

Thank You ma’am for sharing priceless wisdom.
Can I chant Sri Sukt and do SoHam dhyaan together ?
    It feels contradictory internally.

Ma’am, if we keep Shri chakra or Shri yantra as wallpaper, as suggested in the last paragraph, is it fine if we have mobile apps on it? Bcoz shri chakra as wallpaper will be in background and will have icons of apps on it. Is it fine? Or those icons should not be there?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
      you can have the apps

if possible keep the the central equilateral triangle and dot visible

the idea is that the subconscious mind is made to remember the energy of the Shri as much as possible.

and if you want to consciously look at it for a bit,
u can always open the image in the pic app and see it in its entirety
