At present Saturn is transiting in Pisces in the Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra. He will be going retrograde from 13^th July till 28^th Nov 2025  for about 138 days. He will continue in the Pisces sign, Meen rashi, through out this time, thankfully the quantum of turbulence will be a bit lesser. 

In terms of the Nakshatra, he will reenter Poorvabhadrapada retrograde on 3^rd Oct 2025. And when he goes forward again, he will reenter Uttarabhadrapada on 20^th Feb 2026. (Watch my video on Youtube here.)

Poorvabhadrapada is a severe and intense energy. This nakshatra can be either exceptionally cruel or exceptionally spiritual. Its keywords are challenges, harshness, hard work, cruelty, karma, endurance, destiny, spirituality, closures, intuition, subconscious states, etc. It is useful for waging war, doing research, all water related activities, mechanical and industrial activities, agriculture, endings, death. Poorvabhadrapada specifically supports all dangerous and risky activities which result in pain or retribution. 

Then Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra is a bit difficult to understand as it is extremely adaptable, it has a typical innate cunning. It can gauge the situation and if needed change sides in a blink. Its goals are fixed but it very flexible when it comes to the means.  It is a dangerous nakshatra in the sense that it will pretend to agree with you but later it will do exactly what it has decided to do. It is a very determined nakshatra and does not allow anyone to interfere with its plans and it can go to any extremes for this. Its keywords are sleep, dreams, death, unconscious states, subconscious mind, wisdom, esoteric knowledge, secret information, adaptability and long term plans. 

Overall Uttarabhadrapada is not destructive or cruel like Poorvabhadrapada, its long term goals are always helpful for the overall humanity. But as a part of its long term plans, it does not hesitate to take destructive actions. So Saturn going first retrograde and then going forward in these two Nakshatras will put an end to some things in a rather final and dramatic way. He will also lay down the foundations of some new processes in his typical deliberate and systematic manner which will give their results in the future.

Saturn is the slowest moving planet and when he goes retrograde, he gets even more power to influence everyone’s lives. This retrograde Saturn make everyone review all the Saturn things in life. Open your horoscope and check out the position of Saturn, the house and the sign. Also the signs he aspects. Especially list out any significant events which happened between April till mid July 2025. These parts of your life will be affected by the retrograde, you may have to take some corrective actions. Retrograde planets are more powerful than normal planets, so you can also use the energy to start new projects. But whatever efforts you put in during this time, will give their full results only from mid Feb 2026 onwards. 

Then before he changes direction, either ways, retrograde or forwards again, Saturn will be stationary or Stambit for about 5-10days. Mars will be aspecting Saturn with his 7^th and 8^th aspects from the second week of June till mid Sept 2025. This will be a turbulent time as Saturn and Mars do not get along. Then Rahu is within 15deg of Saturn during this entire time, so the cursed Saturn – Rahu combination will keep giving us pinpricks of karma. In fact the entire 2025 is dominated by this shapit combination. And from 3^rd Oct to 1^st Dec 2025 Saturn and Rahu will be again together in Poorvabhadrapada nakshtra. This is destructive combination will again strongly activate the Shapit yog energies. Saturn in Pisces ie water and Aquarius that is air will continue to be the two favoured arenas for confrontation. 

Then because of his close proximity to Rahu, Saturn will also be involved to some extent in the eclipses during Sept 2025. Eclipses are linked to collective karma, they affect the destiny of nations. , So the 2025 eclipses will continue to trigger karmic events of present destruction and future realignment. Then Sun and Saturn will mutually aspect each other from mid Sept to mid Oct which will cause conflicts between the governments and the people.

Another interesting point is Jupiter will shift to Cancer from 19^th Oct till 3^rd Dec 2025, he will be forward and retrograde then. So in this time frame Saturn in Pisces will benefit from Jupiter’s support, as he owns Pisces. But Rahu will be free to behave as he pleases. This energy can be used for intense destructive actions which in the long run will give favourable results. And some nations will use this intense window of opportunity, and those who do not will suffer the negativity.

Now for some General predictions. 

On the weather front, things will continue to be uncertain. Rain, heat, winds are all going to be mixed up. Intense heating followed by rain can lead to natural disasters. And this will also affect agriculture in several areas. 

On the material levels, mostly there will be turbulence. Saturn is linked to karmic consequences. On the global levels, all the wars will intensify. And new ones will begin. The global map of the nations is in the process of being re-drawn and it is going to be painful. 

Saturn is the karmakāraka, the natural significator of karma. He deals with nations, societies and their collective karma. He is also the significator of social structures, mass movements. He is suffering, labor, restriction, time and hard work. When retrograde, Saturn’s effects will intensify, his cruelty, his tamogun and his discipline all can become more forceful and on a collective scale. In this time collective karmas of the entire humanity will mature and historical debts will be up for resolution. West Bengal and Tamil Nadu are the really dangerous focal points, which have to come back to Bharatmata.

Saturn retrograde in Pisces, which is the last house of the natural zodiac will good results to those who follow Dharma. He may give good progress in tantra, confer Siddhis and give some deep realisations to genuine spiritual aspirants in this time.
