Rahu and Ketu are the subconscious self. They are the Kings of Karma and their transits always bring dramatic changes in life. Some things go away from your life and some new opportunities open up as your karmic fruits of your own past actions come up for resolution. We always use True Rahu and True Ketu calculations, not the mean/averaged positions. True Rahu and True Ketu will be entering Aquarius and Leo on 29^th May 2025 and remain here till 25^th November 2026, for about 18 months. (YouTube video link here).

Nakshatra level transits of Rahu and Ketu

Rahu will be in Aquarius. This sign is basically the power of the collective which is used to gain. and he can help us all gain some deeply desired goal in these 18 months. So do use his power to achieve your ambitions. Kumbha rashi is the natural 11^th house of the zodiac and has the Dhanishta Shatataraka and Poorvabhadrapada nakshatras. Rahu and Ketu are basically astral forces and the Nakshatra are the filters of the subconscious. So we need to understand how the Nakshatras filter the power of Rahu and Ketu.

1. First Rahu in Poorvabhadrapada – from 24^th Feb to 2^nd Dec 2025 will give turbulent results. Poorvabhadrapada is linked to the Saturn and Jupiter. And it is ruled by the nakshatra devata Ajaekapada. It is an intense, aggressive, cruel, destructive and determined Nakshatra. It supports actions which are against the fundamental human nature. It is not a gentle or supportive energy and Rahu will amplify its influence on each one of us. Additionally he is in close to Saturn throughout this time and this cursed combination will add to his cruelty. Saturn Rahu together is called the cursed combination as all your past life curses, karmic compulsions, will be active and cause turmoil in life. 
2. Then Rahu will be in the Shatataraka nakshatra from 2^nd Dec 2025 to 30^th June 2026. This lunar mansion is linked to Rahu himself and ruled by the Nakshatra devata Varun. This nakshatra filter is also not a gentle one, it is suspicious, occult, prone to violence, confusion, harshness and unfeeling actions. It moves fast, is expansionist, capable of deception and is secretive. Its nature is very suitable for Rahu and he will use it to expand inherent qualities. Here he will help those who follow natural order, Rita and cause confusion for others.
3. Rahu will then enter Dhanishta nakshatra on 30^th June 2026. This lunar mansion is ruled by the nakshatra devata AshtaVasu and linked to Mars. It has confidence, military ability, aggression and it does not back down. Rahu in this environment will want to take up projects which give fast results and will confidently take on risky projects, which can potentially give big prizes. So everyone whatever their objectives may be, will want to get them fast and be willing to break rules and take risks. Thus this Nakshatra also will encourage Rahu to act as he pleases. 

During this time, Ketu will be in Leo, this is the natural 5^th house of the zodiac. Simha rashi represents politics, governance, nations and leaders. And at the individual level it represents the divine connect, creativity and genius. So some of us will come up with genuinely breakthrough ideas and some spectacular inventions and innovations in whatever field they work in. And some will superficially think that they know a lot, think of only themselves and may not be comfortable in  partnerships or teams. And this Simha rashi sign has 3 Nakshatra in it – Magha, Poorvaphalguni and Uttaraphalguni.

1. Ketu is currently in Uttaraphalguni and he will be here till 6^th July 2025. Uttaraphalguni is ruled by the nakshatra devata Aryamaan and is linked to the Sun. Ketu in this nakshatra will have a mostly negative impact on the financial markets. Ketu tends to scatter things, he obscures important things. So most people in prominent roles will not be able to focus on what needs to be done. The rare few will use this time to destroy their enemies. And there will be several unexpected and permanent changes in the nations and their leaders in this time.
2. Then Ketu will be in Poorvaphalguni from to 6^th July 2025 to 20^th April 2026.  This nakshatra is ruled by the nakshatra devata Bhaga and it is linked to Venus. This will be a time of general mental fog, lethargy and laziness. Most of us will ignore our legal duties and responsibilities or misuse their creativity, heartbreaks are possible for several of us. But some of us will use this energy to intelligently plan their moves, which they will execute later. We will also see in several nations, some typical provocations which will later result in social and mass uprisings. This time is generally the calm before the storm. 
3. Then Ketu will be in Magha from 20^th April to 25^th Nov 2026. It is ruled by the nakshatra devata Pitra and linked to Ketu himself. In this time, authorities at whatever level will behave in an absolutely merciless fashion. Some will be overambitious arrogant and will take bad decisions which will hurt their nations. And some will take cruel but necessary decisions which will hurt in the short term but ultimately will benefit their nations.

Eclipses in this transit – In all this, we will experience the eclipses where Sun or Moon will be together with Rahu or Ketu. The eclipse energies will be active during September 2025 and again during Feb – March 2025 and again in August 2026. The nodes move in the forward direction and also remain stationary during eclipses. So they trigger significant pending karma in a fast forward in this time. Given the nature of this time, most of these karmic events will be extreme.

Kaal sarpa energies – During this transit, the Kaal sarpa energies will be active from time to time. And we can expect mostly disturbing results in these time frames.

In this Rahu Ketu transit, there will be lifetime changes on the individual levels as a fruit of our own individual past actions. And also there will be karmic changes on the global collective level as a result of the collectives past karmic actions. If Rahu and Ketu are favourable for your chart, they will grant some very significant progress, you may become an overnight star with considerable influence and visibility in the public domain. But if Rahu Ketu are poised for negative results for you, then they will ensure karma is balanced in whatever way possible.

Influence of the other planets – In this Rahu Ketu transit, Jupiter in Gemini will be aspecting Rahu in Aquarius with his benevolent 9^th aspect. From 29^th May – 18 Oct 2025 and 5^th Dec 2025 – 2^nd Jun 2026. So if you have a strong Jupiter and auspicious Rahu then you can take some risks, earn money and enhance your social and professional image in these time frames. And people with intelligence will try to think and make sense of what is happening around them and use this information to get ahead in life. This will also be a favourable time for spiritual aspirants. 

But Rahu is also going to be influenced by Saturn for the entire 2025. Too many planets, influencing Rahu Ketu cause internal mental and emotional turbulence. Especially the two heavyweights  Jupiter and Saturn both influencing Rahu at the same time is not a good energy. 

Critically, in this time, whenever Mars will be aspecting or conjunct either Rahu or Ketu, he will be amplify their cruelty. Rahu Ketu are subjective energies and Saturn Mars are their objective counterparts so if they get together in some way they cause turbulence on both the physical and astral levels. So in these typical times, there will be an increase in aggression and destruction, at both local and global levels. Expect terrorist attacks, fire related accidents, and general disturbance. These times will be very dangerous as world leaders, terrorist groups, religions leaders etc will actively use underhand means to destabilise others and the fall out on the local and global levels will be high. There will increase in aggression among the common people, people will be motivated by their leaders to behave collectively in a destructive manner. Religious fanaticism, civil riots and overt wars are very much possible. Nature also will create its share of disasters which will further affect human life. 

On the positive side, there will be a sea change in the way we use modern technology. IT will change completely, as I am anticipating a break down of the dominating current IT giants. The sector will see newer, smaller, more aggressive, more innovative, more inventive companies who will take over the IT market.

Do make it a habit of checking your Panchang regularly, be aware of the planetary movements so that you can be prepared for the events around you.

For India and the World –

These 18 months will see several issues. The North, North East and North West boundaries will see turbulence because of our hostile neighbours. The Southern side of Bharat, will face challenges connected to the seas, so people living in coastal cities should be prepared. Natural disasters like cyclones are possible. And the Navy should also be alert regarding underwater attacks.

Two of our neighbours are collapsing and they are still trying to attack Bharat. This is their negative karma and one only hopes that they face the consequences and dissolve soon. This year both these nations will see a change in their lands, their sizes will be diminished. This time is critical for all of us. As they destabilise they will try to create problems for us also. And the new nations who are being born will also go through an initial period of instability.

Then China is the real threat acting in the shadows, so we have to be alert. The current year is supportive for China, its real problems will begin after a couple of years. It has several internal stresses and I think that these regions will find courage to protest and demand greater autonomy or full separation soon.

But even more than China, the ‘collective west’ is also the real enemy. Their powers are fading but still they will use all means to hurt Bharat. Their method of ‘war’ is primarily economic. The real fight is always about the money. First it was overt, they were stealing our books, our gold, our minerals, our lands, our crops, our forests. Worst was that they enslaved our men/women, first physically and then intellectually. And ‘post-independence’, they are still stealing from us, via the we utterly arbitrary exchange rates. This is the common story of the ‘collective South’. So now there are serious and committed attempts at de-dollarisation, and de-coupling these ‘global south’ economies from the ‘west’. But it will take another decade for the ‘west’ to dissolve. Till then the time is dangerous.

In any case, we cannot trust any other nation. We must use the practical concepts from the Mahabharat and systematically fight to destroy our enemies. Everyone should read the Udyog parva to understand on the intellectual levels what is really happening and why we need to fight. The African nations are still being used as ‘colonies’ by the ‘west’. The ‘west’ still have access to these resource rich lands. Several African nations are in serious turmoil at this point of time. Only those who align with Russia will be able to cope, rest will regress into anarchy. Then Russia is a proven friend and the Russia – India association will continue to remain strong. I think it is because both nations share a common core of Sanskrit. Russian language is 70% Sanskrit. This means that there must have been a common history and ancestry between these two nations at some point of time, which is still giving its positive effects.

Then the traitors within the nation will be very active. People with life philosophies against Vedic Dharma will do their best to trigger civil disturbances and spoil the image of the nation. The administration must take strict action against these people who are traitors to Bharat. The enemies within are more dangerous as they hold an Indian citizenship.

The national financial situation will not be very good, but compared to the rest of the world we will manage. But everyone must buy as much gold as they can. In fact our Indian women have best financial sense, they collectively own 11% of the world’s gold. We all must keep on buying and hold physical gold, this is the only real security against financial collapse. Once the de-dollarisation process reaches a certain level, the financial institutions of the ‘west’ will collapse, triggering several issues.

Our national leaders will have the deep intelligence and the merciless courage to handle issues. Whatever has to be done to protect the nation, will be done, even if it is unpleasant in the short term. Most important that the genuine citizens must use their common sense and behave in a practical way, react to situations in a pragmatic and logical way. Excessive emotions of any sort including kindness, benevolence or a forgiving nature etc will cause more problems. (Again – read Udyog parva – read what Bhishma Pitamaha says to Dhrutarashtra regarding Duryodhan.)

On the positive side, our ancestors, Devatas, Gurus and the positive karma of the genuine citizens of Bharat will protect us on the energy levels. So we all must recite the Saptashloki from the Devi Mahatmya at least once a day with the intention for protecting our nation Bharat, our Dharma and for destruction of our enemies. It is just 7 verses, so just 2mins of your time. Our brave young men and women are fighting, sacrificing their lives, and we civilians should pray to Devi Chandi request her for blessings and protection. Temples and Hindu groups can organise regular Chandi Homa or any other Homa of the Dasha Mahavidya Devis, or any other Ugra Devata. Such yajnyas on the community levels will help in protecting the nation.

We Hindus, have become ‘modern’, we have stopped doing pujas and this has made us weak on the energy levels. Other religions do their rituals several times a day. They also do their rituals very sincerely every week on Fridays, Sundays etc. Rituals, pujas etc have power and we must teach our children the importance of regular puja/ mantra/ homa/ yajnya. And this can happen only when we do these ourselves.

This time till 2035 is not easy, there will be turmoil. But we will maintain our nation, while the others especially the ‘collective west’ dissolves. Our time has already begun and now we have to maintain this momentum. Our time will strongly start from 2035 and then onwards Bharat will be on unstoppable, on a continuous upward curve.

Remedies for Rahu and Ketu are as always Dana and Mantra, which you can do on Tuesdays and Saturdays and on the days they change signs or nakshatras and on eclipse days. The third remedy is intelligent behavioural changes, where you try to intelligently use the energies of the current time and space. Also do your daily pujas and spiritual practice as a routine, so that your life as a whole remains balanced. Jyotish is about remedies. The chart is the background energy, there will be some problems and you have diagnose the issues and use the correct mantra to fix them. This is the real use of Jyotish.

Rahu and Ketu are completely astral graha so they work through the signs they are in, the owner planet of that sign and the planets they are conjunct with. Generally Rahu and Ketu are malefic for most of us. But sometimes they can give Yogkarak level positive results. So first go through your chart, understand their power in your life, the results they are capable of giving, so that you can make the most of their energy. 

Rahu generally gives results which attract and attach you to material pleasures, so he is considered to be more malefic. Ketu is also a cruel force but at least his results ultimately create devotion towards the Devatas and allow spiritual growth. So Ketu is considered to give more auspicious results than Rahu. 

And here is the secret. All the problems that Rahu creates have their seeds in your own desires so if you can control and channelise your these innermost desires you can easily handle any negativity from Rahu.And all the problems that Ketu creates are connected to your ignoring important things. So if you train your mind to pay attention even to those things which do not interest you, you will be easily handle your Ketu problems. 

Generally Rahu and Ketu are favourable when transiting in the 3^rd, 6^th and 11^th houses from the birth Moon sign. And are average to unfavourable in the 1^st, 2^nd, 4^th, 5^th, 7^th, 8^th, 10^th and 12^th signs from the birth Moon sign depending on the birth chart. They generally give the worst results when they are in the 9^th house from the birth Moon sign. 

So let’s go through the birth Moon signs and what True Rahu and Ketu in Aquarius and Leo mean for all of us. These are based on your birth Moon sign, as the Moon determines the timing and fructification of karma. Birth Moon sign, is the sign in which your birth Moon is in your birth horoscope, it also called Janma rashi. These general readings will be modified as per the individual chart and the ongoing Dasha periods. If you have your birth Rahu Ketu in Aquarius / Leo then the effects will be more intense. Or if you are undergoing a Dasha period of Rahu or Ketu then too you will feel more effects.

Aries Birth Moons  – Rahu in Aquarius is very positive for you but Ketu in Leo is not favourable. Rahu will give good results with respect to gains, friends and social visibility. You will want to spend time with your spouse and your extended family, and these will be good times. But you must pay attention to your children and their activities. Do not ignore then as they may get into trouble in this time. And if you are in love then expect trouble with your romantic partner. 

Ketu can grant intelligence and ability to think clearly. But mostly these ideas may not feel interesting or feel impractical. You might feel less excited about work and daily tasks.  Try to remain aware of your creative talent and see how this affects your social image. Try to consciously channelise your intelligence, do not get hazed out. Keep yourself motivated. There is a good chance that you will gain from different sources, but you have to tie down the positive potential, make it real by your efforts in these 18 months. Enjoy your Rahu success, but stay grounded. Unexpected gains are possible especially for businessmen. Eg Import export can be more profitable. Stay practical with money, invest it sensibly, do not blindly follow advice from others, think for yourself.

Follow your Rahu but be aware of your Ketu things also, so that you can make the most of this transit. 

Taurus Birth Moons – Both Rahu and Ketu are not very favourable. There will be a general undercurrent of restlessness and irritation at home and in the office. Learn to manage this internal irritation, do not bring it out on others and argue or be unpleasant. If your birth chart is strong enough you can expect some positivity in your profession as you will be more aggressive in your approach. Unexpected transfers are possible, you may have to move to foreign environments, or to a department which you did not expect. You will meet several new people, but not all will have good intentions, so do not trust anyone in the office, especially do not trust your boss and seniors. Choose your friends and business partners wisely. You may get some financial gains from your past investments which you should re-invest in land or gold and use to pay off your past debts. Think logically before acting.

Physical deaths of elders especially on the paternal side are possible. Small disagreements with family or your spouse will make home life unsettled, especially property matters will be tedious. Sleep disturbances, excessive dreams can lead to internal tiredness, so learn techniques to de-stress. Ill-wishing is possible, so cleanse your and your home energy regularly. And be careful while driving. If Ketu is favourable then you will feel spiritually inclined and you may get some realisations in your Dhyan state. 

Gemini Birth Moons – Rahu is not favourable but he is entering as Swarna moorti for you so will not actively harm you. But Ketu is is going to be extremely favourable for you, this is one of this best transit positions and he is entering as Swarna moorti. So you must use Ketu’s power to gain in life. These 18 months are going to be very productive for you especially if you have a favourable Birth Ketu. He will bring you opportunities for growth and success. He will give you options and also the intelligence and courage to follow the correct option. Others will appreciate your energy, your intelligence and problem solving skills.

One thing you must be alert about is that you might feel inclined to practice questionable occult practices, or some foreign philosophy or change your thought processes or convert into another religion. Do not do this as this will create lifetime problems for you. Do not ignore Dharma. Do not insult your elders. And do your regular pujas.

You might feel a bit unlucky or ignored in this time but still you will manage to pull through by your personal courage and logical mind. Problems will come up only because of your personal desires. Try to keep a rein on your thoughts and follow only those dreams which are Dharmic, ethical legal and moral, else you will face issues.

Cancer Birth Moons – During this period, Rahu will bring several challenges and Ketu is also not favourable so be careful. Heath will be an issue as sudden emergencies are possible. Be careful while driving, do not engage in rash behaviour, especially near water bodies. You might feel reckless, but always use your common sense. Avoid alcohol and other intoxicants in this time. Issues related to the throat, blood, reproductive organs or a surgery is possible and medical bills may increase. Negativity, evil eye and occult can interfere with your life. 

On the money front, planning is important, do not think that you have lots of resources and give away your money to help others. You might get some unexpected monetary in the initial phases. There may be physical deaths of some close relatives during this time and you may get some legacies from them. But whatever money you get, reinvest it, do not randomly spend it. 

And people whom you think are trustworthy can ultimately betray you. There will be some problems in the family, especially from your in-laws. Also your spouse will remain internally irritated with you. Try to talk openly with your spouse to avoid major issues in the home. 

Do pujas of your Kuldevata and request him or her to protect you on the astral levels. And do the remedies for Rahu and Ketu for increasing positivity.

Leo Birth Moons – Rahu and Ketu both are not a favourable, but as they are entering as Swarna moorti for you they will not actively harm you. Train your mind to keep your desires under control and to not ignore important things, only then will this transit will be manageable for you. 

Medical issues related to the skin and injuries due to accidents or fire and surgeries are likely, so be careful. Be careful about your own person, first give priority to yourself and then to everyone else. Do not listen to your partners blindly, think for yourself before you act. Do not think that you have to sacrifice yourself for others in this time. Do not give your resources away to others, be practical. Even if you feel more spiritual or philosophical or whatever during this time, do not ignore your material obligations. Your confidence may be low or you may suddenly suffer from low self esteem in this time. So consciously try to boost your self confidence. Speak up in the office and at home, try to take the initiative. If you remain silent for whatever reason, it will lead to misunderstandings which can eventually affect your image. If you feel something is going wrong then immediately speak up, only you will get gains from your partners and from your business activities in this time. 

Virgo Birth Moons – Rahu is in one of his best transit positions, so he will support you in all ways. But Ketu is not favourable so you will see some challenging results from your Ketu keywords.

Rahu will ensure that your enemies will not get a chance against you, they will be powerless in this time frame. But be careful of creating new enemies in this time, they may be powerless now, but after this transit they can get back at you. You will tend to be more arrogant and dominating in this time which can create problems later. 

Money issues will also remain sorted out and you will be generally healthy. One thing is that you may be accused for things which you have not done, so ensure that you always follow the law and morals. Especially in relationships, try to follow the ethical path. 

You may get dreams or intuitive signals in this time, see if you can harness the power of your dream states in this time. Or you may suffer from insomnia because of over-thinking and stress. Or you may get nightmares and negativity in your sleep states. Best is to do energy cleansing regularly to avoid such unpleasant experiences. Or you can use this energy to meditate etc and progress spiritually. The last few months of this transit will be especially favourable for you so use the energy well.

Libra Birth Moons – Rahu in the 5^th from the birth Moon is not favourable. But Ketu in the 11^th from the birth Moon is very highly favourable, this is one of his best positions so you must make use of his power.  If your birth Ketu is stronger than Rahu then this time can give you some very good results. You will get new sources of money in this time but you will also spend it on useless and expensive items. Better would be to reinvest it or use it pay off your debts. 

In this time you may feel overconfident or be certain that your way is the only right way. You must take important decisions dispassionately in this time. Even if your family or your boss wants you to do something, do think twice. Pay attention to your children and their activities as they may get into trouble. And if you have an older sibling then he can create issues for you. You may not be able to get along with your loved ones in this time because of your own ego and arrogance. But you will get visibility on the social front and people will appreciate you in public. Use this time to improve your mind and body, go to the gym and do Yogasanas. Try to do pujas of your ancestors and family gods to add more positive power to your life.

Scorpio Birth Moons – Rahu and Ketu are both not favourable, a lot will depend on your birth chart. In this transit, you will be forced handle issues in your home and within your family. All your family members living in the same house as you may quarrel with you. And do pay attention to your mother in this time as she may have some health issues in this time. Issues with the family property or your residence or your vehicles will give you a headache. So avoid getting too emotionally involved in these things. Finances can be troublesome, budgeting is necessary especially in the first half of the transit. And do recheck everything if you plan to invest in real estate or land. In the office, do not ignore anything, however small the topic may be, give it some thought and anticipate potential problems. People who have retired from your office may cause you problems in some way. 

On the health front sleep may be disturbed, excessive dreams or nightmares are possible. So learn some relaxation techniques and do some energy cleansing regularly. Try to use this time to deepen your connect with your adored deity, meditation, pujas and pilgrimages will be helpful. And your intuitive power may also increase. The second half of the transit will be better than the first half. 

Sagittarius Birth Moons – 

Rahu is very highly favourable, this is one of his best positions. You will want to be active and you will also have the energy to take up lots of projects. Tie down your Rahu gains to the material world, make them real in these 18 months, else they will vanish as soon as this favourable Rahu transit ends. 

Ketu is not favourable he will affect your foundations, elders, timely luck and blessings. Do not ignore important and basic things. Follow your Dharma. Even if you are busy or not interested, do your daily pujas of your adored deities and the follow the guidance of your guru. 

You will have good times with your extended family and siblings. But also keep in touch with your elders and follow any important advice they may have for you. You can argue with your seniors but do not ignore them.

In profession and business you will be confident and succeed. Your partners, teammates will support your. Use Rahu’s power to pay off your debts, capitalise on the new opportunities and build your career. Financial growth is expected. But avoid gambling or speculation. But legal issues are possible, so be alert. On the health front things will be generally good. 

Overall do the remedies for Ketu and consciously work with your Rahu to make the most of this time.

Capricorn Birth Moons –

 Rahu and Ketu are both unfavourable. But they are entering as Swarna Moorti so even if they create issues from time to time, they will not actively harm you. Your family life will be a bit disturbed, but try to be patient, do not argue and create more problems. The main trigger will be your own ego and selfishness. You might feel that you deserve more at home, or that you should get more share in family property etc. But try to support your family rather than quarrelling. But your in-laws can be a source of stress or interfere in your life so be alert regarding their influence in your life.

You may get some legacies or some family inheritance. But there will be a mental fog and lack of clarity so avoid risky investments and do not impulsively buy expensive things just to show off. Your spouse may have some minor but recurring health issues. And your health may suffer because of bad eating habits, so do follow proper diet and especially avoid alcohol. Your internal heat will be high, so rashes and other heat related medical conditions are possible. And take care of your eyes.

If your birth Ketu is auspicious then you may feel attracted towards spirituality and the occult. Especially do regular pranayam and your regular pujas to maintain positivity. 

Aquarius Birth Moons – 

Janma Rahu is not favourable, and Ketu in Leo is also not favourable for you. These 18 months can be tiring unless you have some support from your birth chart. The main thing is to stay focused, plan carefully and avoid wasting your energy and effort. You will feel attracted to so many things, you will want to do everything at once and this will drain your energy. Also overthinking will cause stress so learn to focus only on the doable and realistic things, do not chase after random dreams. Start your projects only if you have sufficient money, resources and people. And after you complete all paperwork related to permissions, licences etc. Avoid risks.

Then do not ignore your partners, professional and personal and their genuine concerns. Also pay attention to the genuine advice you get. Unexpected expenses or financial losses are possible, so budgeting is necessary. Your older relatives especially your grandparents may need your attention. And your spouse may suffer from some difficult to diagnose issues. You might get attracted to undesirable individuals or get into short term flings, best is to avoid such unexpected relationships as they will complicate your life. One tip is to energy cleansing every week. You will be susceptible to evil eye or ill-wishing in this time so do your pujas regularly to remove negativity.
