Planetary war in June 2024: Use the power

Last Updated on October 30, 2024 by Tejaswini

‘Stellium’ is the modern gentle sounding word for graha yuddha. Graha yuddha actually means a planetary war. There are the 5 Tara graha – Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. And when more than one of these are placed together in one sign they try to dominate each other. The winner is the one who has traveled the deepest into the sign. And the winner of this planetary way, graha yuddha decides on the expression of the results of the losers of the war.
If your birth chart has a graha yuddha, ie a stellium, of 3 or more planets together then the results are often unfavourable as the keywords of the losers do not find a useful expression in life. And the keywords of the winner dominate. And if Moon gets added to this mix, then the energy of the Amavasya also will add to it.
Now in the in the first half of June 2024, in the Taurus sign, there are going to be several happening events –

  1. Jupiter will come out of combustion, so Sagittarius and Pisces will feel the relief. In addition for Pisces birth Moons, the Angarak yog has dissolved so you will really feel the difference now in June.
  2. Mercury will go into combustion, so Gemini and Virgo birth Moons will go through the typical confusion and arrogance in this time.
  3. Venus is already combust and continues to be Asta till 29th Jun. He is the owner of the owner of Taurus in which all this is happening. His being combust causes more imbalance. Taurus and Libra birth Moons will get a much awaited relief only after a month or so.
  4. Sun is in Taurus till mid June and he combusting all these Tara graha back to back with his fire.
  5. Moon will join these in Taurus, on 5-6 June. Cancer birth Moons will feel this power intensely. In fact, this Amavasya is going to be very intense and everyone should do some pujas on this Amavasya to channelise the energy else it can carry you away with it.

If you are going through the Vimshottari dasha period of Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Jupiter then there will be at least one significant change in your life in this time. This change will be positive or negative as per your birth horoscope combinations.
Especially if your Dasha period itself changes in this time frame then there will be major changes in your life. Be ready for opportunities in this time.

The graha yuddha will greatly reduce in intensity, when Venus moves into Gemini on 11th June 2024. But as he will remain combust till 29th Jun Taurus will become completely normal only after this date. Then the Sun will exit Taurus on 15th Jun and this will reduce the fire in Taurus.

For Bharat, in this time, we will witness the counting of the election votes on 4th June and the formation of the new central government after that. And for Bharat the ascendant sign is Taurus and the birth chart has Rahu in Taurus. So,

  • The counting of the votes will see controversies. The candidate’s egos will be on a high and the losers may not take defeat gracefully. There may be more requests for re-counting of the ballots and there are high chances of violence etc in typical areas.
  • After that, whichever party wins, they will form the new central government. I just hope that the winners consult a genuine Jyotishi for a suitable time for the new oath taking. We need a strong central government to tackle the issues, both international and domestic which are going to come up in the tenure of this government, ie – the next 5yrs from 2024 to 2029.

Generally for the birth Moon signs – These readings are applicable till the Sun is in Taurus and will fade once Venus also rises again, ie comes out of combustion.

Aries birth Moon – will be overworked and feel tired. But try to find opportunities in this time. There is a high chance of a one in a lifetime change for the better. Money and finances will be good.

Taurus birth Moon – all this energy is being released in Taurus so this birth Moon sign is the most affected. Mental restlessness, confusion, lack of clarity etc. On the physical level there will illness related to heat – rashes, allergies, fever, digestion related issues etc. Emotionally there will be irritation, aggression, worry etc.
Only one exception is, if you have your ascendant sign as Leo, then the power of your personality, your Will, can help you in some way.

Gemini birth Moon – will face a tough time as losses are expected on many levels. Take care of your personal health, both physical and mental. Budgeting is necessary. Your friends and family may not support in this time.

Cancer birth Moon – if you do some puja on Amavasya day, then this time can be very good for you. Opportunities for financial gain in this time are possible. You can invest in long term assets. Some good times with family are expected. However spouse may be a source of stress.

Leo birth Moon – Overconfidence, harsh speech, aggressive and adamant behaviour etc will spoil your image at home and in the office. Budgeting is necessary, do not plan big expenses in this time.

Virgo birth Moon – this time is good for you, use it productively. Prioritise your projects, choose those which are the most profitable else you will be swamped in overwork. Tiredness, joint pains etc is possible.

Libra birth Moon – this is not a good time for you. Be prepared for emergencies of some sort. Home life will be stressful, spouse will not cooperate. Generally avoid arguments, lie low for sometime, do not get into legal issues.

Scorpio birth Moon – has an average time. There will be delays and pending work in office. But if you do pujas of your Kuldevata, then this can be better. The time is not so bad and things will work out.

Sagittarius birth Moon – health must be a priority. Heat is high and you will feel it on all levels. Pay attention to your diet and rest. Do not offer advice to others or get into other’s issues in this time, you will be blamed when they go wrong later.

Capricorn birth Moon – has an average time coming up. Mind your own business do not interfere in issues not connected to you. Children, spouse and family may need your attention. But as you yourself will be fit, things will remain in control.

Aquarius birth Moon – you might feel lonely on the inside, so do some pujas/ mantra to support your Mind. Apart from this emotional issue, life on the outside will be good. Business, profession etc will keep you busy. Budgeting is advisable.

Pisces birth Moon – you will have to travel a lot, it will be tiring, but if you think of this as a ‘tourism’ you will remain in a happy mood. Avoid people who might want to use your resources. Be clear about what you want and communicate this to others also properly.

Remedies are as always the three. Behavioural changes as you intelligently adapt to the situations. This is easier for students of Jyotish. The second is to give Daan of the items connected to the planets in the temples. And the third is the mantra of the planets performed regularly. And as this is the Sun who is dominating the scene, it would be advisable to give Surya Arghya, daily as this is the one remedy which aligns the Mind and the Intelligence with the power of the Sun in the most auspicious manner.

My daughter has 5 planets in her 12th house Aries. She’s Taurus Lagna with Mars in Lagna and moon in Leo.
Astrologers here say people with 4 planets or more take up sanyasa.

      Hi there
Generic predictions are one thing but the entire chart should be checked esp the DC to make such predictions which affect the life of a child.

Wrote 3-4 posts on sanyasi yog tapasvi yog ascetics etc.
do refer the index if you wish to read these.
Read tht post on graha yuddha and planetary friendships.
These might help clear the concepts. And help you handle your daughter’s energy in a more practical way.

I have sun+jupiter+venus conjunction in leo(lagna) in the birth chart. How do I interpret this combination? I referred to your article on graha yuddha , you mentioned Sun does not participate in planetary war. Sun is in magha(at 3 degrees) , jupiter and venus in Purva phalguni(at 25 degrees and 21 degrees respectively) . My interpretation is venus and jupiter are not combust however venus is in enemy house sign- leo along with two enemies sun and jupiter so it loses it’s power . I read your post on venus jupiter conjunction but how does keywords change with sun present along with them

        Hi there
i have written a lot of posts on the sun, venus, etc. ref to them for more insights

if the sun is favourable to your chart, he will grant creativity, confidence, authority etc
if he is unfavourable then ego, stubbornness entitled behaviour
analyse yourself and see how it goes for you

    Hi again Tejaswiniji,

Great opening line, ‘Stellium’ sounds so cool doesn’t it! (Actually they should make a film about some planetary war and quite dharmic scripture at the start.)

I had a few queries, especially since I’ve often read your quick readings which you do as birth moons and sometimes ascendants. I’d wrote a query about my intention for this month, which I might do something for 21 days this Friday.

In relation to this post I hooe you can guide me further:

    1) ARIES BITHR MOON: Seems like some good news! especially ‘high chance of one in a lifetime change for the better’ – now I assume this could be an internal or external change. some kind of change that should be accepted.

However should I ‘Do’ anything to ‘increase the chances’? like an ‘attempt to maximise’ the chance or opportunity? or how to ‘spot it’?

    2) SURYA ARGHYA: The sunrise is way too early here right now, but was wondering is this relevant say after waking up, or afternoon because isn’t sun at its highest point then?

Also is there an alternative method, i.e. water on Tulsi plant with a mantra I think i’d read.

And can the Surya Arghya itself be simplified? i.e. when you wrote the Shivling routine – you said it could be as simple as saying ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ whilst pouring the water.

    3) MANTRA: Due to the combustion I’m emphasizing Venus Mantra and Sri Suktam. And small set of the relevant daily planet.

    4) DAAN: You said it was ok to keep my dana, and contribute to temple with relevant cloth etc. but you said above ‘dana of the connected planets’

So how can we identify which to give? should we give dana for every planet.

Or I this case give Dana for Moon, Mar- Aries, Venus and only give Dana for certain planets.

    5) BEHAVIOURAL CHANGE: I guess is being Aware, cultivate Acceptance and work on Addictions.

Thank you so much for your insights 🙂

      1. your daily pujas cover everything. but if you want to do something then something for your kuldevata ishtadevata or if you do not know who these deities are then Bhagwan Ganpati

      2. if u cannot do it at sunrise, then do it whenever you see the Sun in the skies

      3. your choice

      4. will have to check the individual chart.

    Hi there,
My question is irrelevant to this article but I would love to know what is the difference between Chogadhiya and Shubh Hora in regards to good Muhurat. I do follow Drik Panchang. I am getting conflicting answers when researching. I would like to know which one do we use for shubh Muhurat. Is it people in different parts of India use different Muhurats. I have not been able to get an clear answer on this. I also noticed that sometimes Chogadhia and ShubhHora are diffrent. Like chogadhia has positive time/planet the Hora would have negative time/planet. Hoping you can shed some light on this at your convenience. Thank you for your time and Knowledge. I have been struggling with this for a while.

there are several other options like Hora, Gauri panchangam, panchpakshi etc.

i have seen that choghadia is the easiest option to plan your regular day.
and each time has its own use. so see if you can use the energy intelligently.

but you should do your own research and follow whatever you feel is right.

        This was really fascinating!

I wasn’t even planning more questions but watched the video and read the post, so forgive my indulgence!

        Just a few points really:

        1) Practicality: how feasible is this really? If I start going to the gym daily same time – should that now be adjusted!? For example

Or even Sadhana I’ll probably start one and thought it was good to get ‘as close’ as possible to same time every day – luckily tomorrow seems good but otherwise – it’s counterproductive then and my Sadhana times should vary by the day??

        2) I did read your descriptions, but there is another quite strong emotion, lust, does that come into these things and is there ways to channelise this?

        3) Are mantras the key, because let’s say I’m working – then Rog time comes up? Would it be good to stop or hopefully be aware chant manual mantra that can then provide additional will power?

        4) It seemed funny from some films I’ve seen even a TV show (Choona), basically there seems to be something neurotic about clock watching every minute. But now I’m learning a bit of jyotish I can really see why people would do it. But you don’t seem the kind of person who encourages that attitude to life. There is such a variance and – it changes every day!

So where’s the balance? I’m sure you get what I’m saying and maybe have seen this kind of obsession.

        5) Hypothetically speaking – let’s suppose on a smartwatch or something, the very mantras you suggested played whenever the hora changed. During the day or even silently, vibrationally since when awake you could look at the screen see the planet chandogiya then chant thrice. lol, is that well kind of a good idea if it can be set up.

        6) finally, since this was quite spectacular on an hourly scale. Could you do something regarding quality Preparation and channeling the Power for the year based scale – I mean Mahadashas.

Like say (ahem) Rahu mahadasha was gonna come to ‘someone’ lol, or even others, but I know that seems to be a common this that concerns people. So if we know this information well in advance, could we not well prepare before then (is that antardasha?)

so when it comes there’s groundwork then during the time period of that relevant mahadasha the best alignment to really turn things for the best. Because if it is possible to turn what might be quite potent energies, into real blessings and we have time to do it – I trust in your advice.

My kind regards once again 🙂

        Rishi

        Hi there

        1. this is not necessary for regular life.
But for important things. Eg if you have to go meet your lawyer for something then check the choghadia. At least be aware of the energy of the time so that you are not caught by surprise here.

        2. Lust is a very cheap thing. It is uncontrolled desire. Do your mantra pujas if you often feel this sort of emotion.

        3. Yes, mantra are key.

        4. It may be neurotic for you, because you are scared of time.
For people like me, who are Jyotishis by inclination and tradition, this is inbuilt. others see the time as eg. 10am, but I also see the math behind it, eg general planetary positions, ascendant, and of course the panchang details.
normal people do not have to do this. such detail is not for them.
But the information should be available thus my posts/ videos.

        5. Do your Soham with every breath, it covers everything

        6. I have written on mahadasha, several posts.

    1. I did not get what you meant here. Are you referring to nuclear families and grandparents being absent? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

    2. Have you written/ Can you write about the things which were originally indicated by the houses(in kundali) in earlier times, but have changed in the current times? (For example, the 2nd house thing which you wrote).

      1. yes. there is a very big change in overall social dynamics

eg 3rd house is siblings but now most families have only 1 child. so where will the energy of the 3rd house go? it has to go somewhere. you will have to work out this for yourself depending on the individual charts/ clients.

    Good day to you, madam.

This might be very silly, but I’m feeling very confused and unsure of how to approach Hinduism. My family are religious and believes in Buddhism, while my parents are devoted they never forced any belief system onto me, they do not force me to learn the etiquette when praying, what to lead my prayer with, or even the history of buddhism. As long as I am pure and sincere in my prayer then that’s good enough for them. The only times I pray are during the new year and before important events when my parents ask me to. I am not exactly religious but I do agree with many of Buddhism’s philosophies, such as karma and reincarnation. I believed in the universe as it is consist of atoms, which are present in me and the table I use, the house I live in and the plants around me, as I am a part of the universe and the universe is a part of me. After reading a previous post of yours I feel that my ideas are very similar to what you describe. I also came to feel uncomfortable with the Western concept of a god as the ultimate being as I felt weird referring to an all knowing entity as a singular person, pronoun or not. I felt uncomfortable with any depiction of god in human form, along with the notion of god having any gender, male or female.

As I grow interest in vedic astrology, I also grow an interest in Hinduism, but as you can see I have never partake in daily mantra or in a habit of one. I am not exactly a religious person and is mostly interested in learning more about myself, which consists of learning through vedic astrology. This will require the knowledge of Hinduism and the deities, which I am curious and very eager to learn more, but I feel like to learn more is to know it in its entirety, to recite the mantra and to do prayers daily, and again I am not sure how to proceed with that in mind. I dont understand the very core of worship and devotion to deities, and I am afraid of insulting them if done incorrectly.

Sorry for the confusing wording and I hope to receive some advice from you, madam.

    Thank you.

      Hi there
Sanatan Dharma is popularly called hinduism.

This means the ‘eternal foundation’. So what is this eternal foundation? this entire experience of life, living etc is rooted in something. Right?
So what is this root, this foundation.

Experiences are transient but this foundation has to be eternal.
Objects are many but the subject is the one.

Eg when you say I am a boy. I am a girl, etc this ‘I’ is the subject.
      “Aham” in Sanskrit.
What or who is this Aham?
This is the entire premise of sanatan dharma.
It is an enquiry into this ‘I’, “Aham”.

In the sentence ‘I am a boy’. I = subject. Boy = object.
So – girl, student, red, salty, happy etc are all objects.
      The common subject is ‘I’.
      Who is “I”?

Buddhism stopped at the level of Shunya, nothingness. They consider ‘I’ to be Shunya = nothing, non existent.
Talk to your Buddhist teachers. This is the religion of your family. So know it from the inside out. read the books, talk to the teachers. but remain intellectually driven, not emotional.
if you get evasive replies then enquire more deeply into the logic. Sooner or later you will see logical fallacies in their concepts. Take your time over this intellectual debate.

Sanatan Dharma went further into the Self, this ‘I’ and concluded that the I is complete, existent, infinite, the foundation, the root, the Poorna.

But this does not mean that Hinduism teaches blind faith. The intellect should be convinced by a rigorous application of logic. we do not believe in conditioning the intellect. we do not blindly follow.

But there is a step wise process for the intellect to develop fully. So the first step is Karma kaand. Then is Upasana kand and then Jnyan kaand. This helps develop the layers of the body from the solidest annamaykosh, physical body to the subtlest intellectual body, the vijnyanmaykosh.

The western concept of an ultimate god is something like a deity outside of you is junior school.

Sanatan dharma is not a religion.its not a dogma, its not a belief.
It is a step wise process, which if you follow will give you what you really want. make you aware of the answer of the deepest question you have, ‘Who Am I?”

The source is the same as the rays of light emanating from it.
The millions of rays are the millions of deities. We consider even the animals – a cow, a bull, a snake, an eagle to be a deity. Every thing you see around you is a deity, it is shining with that light of the Source.
      Even thunder, lightning, are worshipped.
Every thing is Existing. This existence is Astitva. This is the conscious principle which is the Source. Shining through every experience that you have in this life.

We follow only our conscience. the Antaratma. You must follow your own conscience.
If you feel that something is right from the core of your being, follow it. No one will judge you except yourself.
Taking this responsibility of your own actions, your own thoughts, your own words is Dharma.

      See, the perspective determines everything.
Eg suppose you hit someone. This is just an action.
But the intention makes it correct or wrong. If you hit someone who was in turn hitting a defenceless person, then what you have done is right.
But if you have hit someone because you enjoy the pain you give him then you are wrong.
And who will decide on what is your intention? Only you can. No one else.

Listen to your inner voice /antaratma/ vijnyan. Act decisively. Live your life fearlessly. .
Initially the intellect/vijnyan/antaratma will need some support. So you have a chosen source of faith. This can be a Shaastra book, a Atmajnyani Guru or a Devata/ deity.
Later as your mind becomes more confident you stop using this crutch.

But again there is no stress. Take your own sweet time. Think logically, not emotionally.

But this does not mean that you turn into a robot.
Enjoy the fragrance of flowers, the sunrise, also your office work. Savour each experience to the full. But with the understanding that all these are rooted in your own self.
      You are the Subject.

i have written several posts on this topic. eg

use the index page to read more posts.

and question everything. politely but firmly. with an intention to understand, not with an intention to argue.
question everything until your own intelligence is satisfied.

      1. Chandana Avatar
        Chandana

Hello madam, in your answer I have a doubt,
Is intention what matters ultimately or is it action?
because like you said in the example the intention behind a slap can make all the difference,
if a person with the right intention takes the wrong action, the result is still wrong right, even if the intention was correct, for example, if a person with the intent to grow an apple tree plants a mango seed, the result will be a mango tree, even if his intention was to grow a apple tree, so doesn’t action count more than intention?

      2. astrologerbydefault Avatar

        Hi there
intention is always more important. but to perfect this intention, to flow with the time/Kaal you have to train your mind/ intelligence.
that is why mantra is given such high importance in Sanatan dharma

and intention is the first step. once you have decided on your sankalp, intention, your desire to create, you are also required to make yourself that saksham/ competent to be able to manifest/ do/ achieve your sankalp.
eg you decide that you want occult powers/siddhi then you also have to work properly for achieving that goal
or you decide that you have to earn 1million per year then you have to work for it accordingly.

and if you want to force a mango seed to grow into a apple tree you can do it. but you will have to work to get the ability to manipulate its energies at that subtle levels.

its between you and your conscience. you have to convince your conscience, not me or anyone else.
eg. our freedom fighters who killed the invaders had no doubt in their hearts that they were defending their nation and following their dharma. and even when they were hanged, they went smilingly to their deaths.

        Namaste Ma’am

Very very grateful to you for this answer ma’am, one of the best answers for me. Thanks to the reader too, who prompted for this answer.

Still, some doubts arose in my mind, with reference to the ‘hitting someone’ example.

With reference to judging oneself, you said only we can judge ourselves. But what if the one who is judging, has faulty logic/a different ‘brain wiring’/raised differently? To be more clear with an example :

Taking the second case, X hits Y, because X enjoys the pain he gave. Now, if someone asks me, my conscience says that it is wrong, and I think pretty much everyone will answer the same. But let’s say that X thinks, there is no wrong, as – It gave X joy, so X thinks it’s okay, no problem. That is X’s ‘logic’.

Now the primary question which is arising for me:

Is conscience universally a same thing? Does everyone have a same conscience, regardless of whether they are aware of it or not?

And if everyone may have a different conscience, then is Dharma a personal thing?

We shouldn’t judge anyone, but we do judge practices, as what should be included in a society, and what should be not. The ‘hitting’ example was very theoretical, but there are practical and complex examples too

Now there is a person. From people there are families, from families there is a society. If everyone’s Dharma is personal, how can a society and/or its practices be judged(as in, a Dharmic or Adharmic society/practice)? If yes, then everyone’s views will be subjective. If everyone has subjective views, how will we get an objective answer? Are objective answers formed on the basis of intersecting subjective views of a majority group in a society?

Also, its right that we shouldn’t judge, but in reality, people always judge, even I may have judged, and sometimes still do. What should one do when one gets judged? Has it ever happened to you? If yes, than what did you do?

These were the doubts I had ma’am. I feel in some parts I blatantly assumed the answer to the ‘yes/no’ while asking, sorry for that, that is how I was able to frame those questions.

Please correct me if I’m wrong.

        Thank you Ma’am.

        Hi there

That is the thought process of that person. His conscience, his perception and his karma.
So if you are the one who is being hit, the correct mindset is to protect, defend etc as per the strength but not get emotionally involved.
Mixing the emotions into a primarily discriminative process, causes unnecessary confusion. and even for the victim.

Everyone’s thinking/ vijnyan/ antaratma is conditioned by his own experiences. perspective is all important.

Your own vijnyan/discriminative intelligence must be convinced that you have acted in the right way.
You cannot hide from your own vijnyan.
It is that inner voice which keeps you awake at night when you know in your heart that you have done something inappropriate. So always act in a way which your inner intellect agrees is right.

‘X’ may think that he is right in inflicting pain on others but X cannot hide from his own inner voice.
This will keep him awake at night, cause mental, emotional and physical imbalances, later at the moment of death will show him this visual which will ensure that he exits from a lower energy Nadi point. the inner voice cannot be stopped, cannot.
It makes itself felt in some way or the other.

        Dharma is on several levels.
Each object has its own dharma – eg boy, son, husband, householder, child, sanyasi etc. In the ‘I am xyz’. The ‘xyz’ is the Dharma.

If it’s my duty as a householder, officer, judge, police, soldier, etc then I will do my duty. But I will not get involved in this emotionally.
‘Judging’ is when you are emotionally involved in that decision.

I don’t care if someone judges me. It means nothing to me, if you or anyone else praises me or blames me. anyone else judging me is simply not relevant to me.

The only thing important is that my intelligence must be at ease.

This does not mean that I have done all nice things in life.
my own inner voice is judging me all the time. and I do hold myself to a very high standard of fairness.
For eg. there is one incident where i slapped my cousin whom I dearly love. for no fault of his. that too on a festival day. this incident even after so many years makes me feel guilty on the inside. Even after trying to make up, apologising and all possible things, I still can’t forgive myself.

When you mix emotions with actions they become very tight karmas. Try to keep the emotion out of decision making. Try to use your discriminative intelligence as much as you can.

Organising the society is the function of the householder/Gruhastashrami and everyone is required to contribute to keeping the society on an even keel as per the rules of the Vedpurva. These householders can be teachers, governors, traders, or producers as per their professional roles. But they have to be householders. Only householders decide on how to run the society. Not the children, not the retirees not the sanyasis.
If someone tries to pervert the society away from the system of the Vedpurva then it’s the duty of the householders to stop this from happening. That is why Shri Ram and Shri Krishna fought wars throughout their lives.
And if the Vedant is also being attacked then it’s the duty of the Sanyasis to bring the correct perspective. Eg Adishankarachaya’s work.
Our Dharma is very logical and yet very full of Rasa/essence.

if you act against Dharma, there will be repercussions, either in your lifetime or at the moment of your exit or in your future lives, no one can escape this

Sorry for the late reply, madam. It might be due to the transit, but I was constantly thinking about being in a traffic accident and right after I got into one…

Thank you madam, you have cleared my mind. I’ll make sure to read the links you’ve sent.

        Hi there
        intentions are important.

saturn has gone stationary, so unavoidable karmic incidents are possible.

    Hello dear madam,
Your answer about intention clarified a few doubts, but I got more questions,
In most cases, right intention has given rise to more suffering because the action taken to achieve that intent was not good (I understand good or bad is subjective, and hence there is no objective answer, context is king) but leaving aside intent, if we act acorrding to what is necessary, the intent behind an action will hardly matter.

Father and sons don’t talk to each other in many cases because of good intent but bad action.
Mother in laws and daughter in laws don’t talk in many cases because of good intent but bad action.

If action is always dictated by doing what is required, the outcome will turn out to be good.
With right intent and wrong actions, outcome might turn out good or bad.

But Shri Krishna has also told do not think about the outcome, only think about the process, hence isn’t he literally saying ACTION trumps INTENT?

      Hi there
If the intention was good and the action was not appropriate then the person responsible has accrued negative karma. His conscience has judged him and he will get the karmic fruit accordingly.

Good bad is not subjective in that sense. In this context it has to be as per the ved. It is very much quantifiable.
If householder level society then vedpurva is applicable.
And if vedant are involved then sanyasis have to take the initiative.

‘We act as per what is necessary’. This means that we understand the situation, analyse, come to a conclusion, strategise and then act with an objective of achieving something.
      This is intention.

You have used several words without thinking these words through. Read your comment again.

Intention is necessary. You cannot leave aside intention ever.
      Intention always matters.

Father and son not talking to each other is due to their inflated egos. Both will suffer. They are required by dharma and even by common sense to interact. By not talking they are creating even more issues.
Not talking/ communicating is negative intention and negative action both.
Mother in laws and daughter in laws not talking is also a case of inflated self ego. but will suffer.

How do you know what is required?
Again you have used words loosely, without thinking through.

To know what is required in a particular situation needs an understanding of the situation, its implications, possible actions, their repercussions, Dharma, etc.

If your intention is right and your Vijnyan/conscience is clear, ie you do not have any emotional stake/ bias then the action will be 100% appropriate. There is no way that the action will be inappropriate in such a case.
That is why Shri Krishna’s Shri Ram’s every action is right. They did not have an emotional bias.
they did what was required ie acted by strategically thinking things through.

And where did Shri Krishna say that intention is not necessary?

First intention – this is the foundation of all action.
Then action – without emotional bias. Logically and intellectually thought out action.
Then outcome – if you have acted as per conscience/intelligence, with appropriate sankalp = appropriate action then the outcome will be as per Dharma.

If action is done with emotion then karmaphal sticks – and this is to be avoided. This is what He is saying.
If action is done with intelligence then karmaphal does not stick.

Do not get emotionally invested in the outcome. but intellectually you have to plan out everything strategically.

Even an insane person, whom we think is wandering on the roads aimlessly, is walking with an intention. Even in his insanity, he is capable of holding intention in his mind, however damaged this mind may be.

Sometimes I do not understand how is it that we as a society became so collectively stupid. It’s the fault of our education system which does not teach us how to think.

Maybe one day I will list out the shastra list and their English ‘translations’.
Read some books on Tarka, they will help sort out the intelligence.

And think things through before asking questions. Especially if you quote something by Shri Krishna.

Thank you for the wonderful clarification, I was caught up with people who justify their wrong actions saying I had good intent behind it.

        Hi there
        you are welcome 🙂

we have become scared to think.
we are taught this emotional nonsense. if you do this you will get paap/demerit. or ‘god’ will punish.
we have stopped using our brains. we should question everything but with an intention to understand not with an intention to argue.
question everything till your own intelligence is satisfied.

    Hi Tejaswini,
Great article! Just want to confirm if this is right thinking on my part (as a beginner of Jyotish). You say that “the winner is the one who has traveled the deepest into the sign.” So if Jupiter is 20°, Mars 11°, the Sun 24° and Mercury 4°, all in one sign, does this then mean that the Sun has travelled the deepest into the sign, closely followed by Jupiter, then Mars and Mercury? A simple yes or no is sufficient. Thanks in advance! Jo

      Hi there

Only the 5 tara graha – mer, ven, mar, jup, sat participate in planetary war.
so in this example, its Jupiter who will dominate over mer and mars.

but Jupiter is combust. so you wll have to factor in the combustion results.

sun with any of the 5 planets results in combustion
wrote several posts on this , do ref the index

and moon with any of these 5 planets is called samagam

either rahu or ketu with these 5 planets affects their subjecive/ objective results
      wrote a lot on this

rahu and ketu with the sun or the moon is an eclipse.

these are the major types of interactions.
