The cursed combination, Rahu Saturn conjunction is active for the entire 2025. It is called the cursed combination because when they get together they allow all the curses and negative karmic fruits from your past lives to actively enter your life and wreck havoc. For most of us, this is a burst of highly negative energy. They got within 15deg of each other in January 2025. Saturn was already in Poorvabhadrapada and Rahu entered it on 27^th Feb. Rahu and Saturn conjunct in the same nakshatra have already started giving sudden changes and extreme results. And, this nakshatra level conjunction will repeat later this year and again in Poorvabhadrapada from 4^th Oct to 2^nd Dec 2025.

But now they are going to be exactly conjunct, on 21^st April 2025. This event will occur in the 4^th quarter of the Poorvabhadrapada nakshatra in the Pisces sign.

Saturn is karma and Rahu, the unstoppable astral force is now amplifying Saturn’s material results. And the naturally protective saumya graha, Venus and Jupiter do not have enough power to reduce their combined negative effect. So if Rahu and Saturn are both auspicious for you in your birth chart, then you might get some rare opportunity in this time, but for the rest of us there will be extreme challenges. And at least for the one week before and after this event there will be uncontrollable karmic events in everyone’s lives. 

Poorvabhadrapada is the environment of the exact conjunction. It is a fierce nakshtra which can give very extreme results, good or bad, rarely in between. Or it can be either exceptionally cruel or exceptionally spiritual, nothing in between. It indicates challenges, harshness, hard work, cruelty, karma, endurance, destiny, spirituality, closures, intuition, subconscious states, etc. It has a severe and intense energy. It belongs to the Nakshatra devata, Ajaekapada. He is the ‘unborn one who is one’, basically the ‘consciousness beyond Time’. 

Ever since Rahu and Saturn have got together in Poorvabhadrapada, they are destroying all useless and obsolete things. And they will to continue do their job very effectively throughout 2025. This destruction will in the future make way for newer and more useful things, but as of now there is turbulence. Curses and negative karmic fruits from the past lives are active on a global scale now. Unethical, immoral and illegal actives from the past are giving their karmic fruit. Black magic, negative use of tantra, evil eye, bad wishing etc, all sorts of stuff is happening around you. Just look around you critically, people are using their intelligence to lie, to cheat. More people are taking more extreme and mostly negative steps and spoiling their lives permanently. Poorvabhadrapada does not support happy new beginnings, happy emotions, love and other gentle things. It is separative energy which perfectly suits the cruel planets Saturn and Rahu and they are going wild here.

It is a passive nakshatra, in the sense that it takes its own time to decide. But once it has decided, it cannot be stopped. It has a vast capacity to absorb information, strategise, plan and then act. It has the power of thinking and it pursues its goals without giving up. It is helpful but only for its close family/ friends and its allies. Its energies are useful all dangerous and risky material activities. It is used for waging war, doing research, all water related activities, all mechanical and industrial activities, and for endings of every sort. It likes doing those activities which result in pain, regret, anxiety or discipline for someone or the other. 

Interestingly its energy can be used to further any action which is against nature herself or against the fundamental human nature. So Rahu and Saturn in Poorvabhadrapada are now going to boost robotics, artificial intelligence, artificial reproductive tech, genetically modified organisms etc type of technologies in a very big way. It is a dehumanising process. And these two will also make money for those who use their power systematically so expect these things to continue. 

For all of us, a generally, do not randomly chase your dreams, be practical. Do not get emotional, try to be pragmatic. Use your common sense and do not get involved in crazy schemes to gain power or make money. Rahu will show you impossible dreams but Saturn is sitting with him, noting down your karmic actions. In this time, there will be increased financial frauds, cheating, forgery, false allegations, legal issues and litigations. Physical exit of famous people, actors, celebrities, politicians is also possible. Increased conflicts, rashness, risky behaviour will increase. 

The environment will also be unpredictable. The heat of war will be reflected in the summer heat. This summer will see randomly severe heat, clouds, rain, winds, cyclones, and dangerous seas. Both the wind and the water will be dangerous and unpredictable.

If you have your birth Saturn and Rahu in the Shapit combination, then do take care in this time. Avoid all major decisions, transactions, litigations, new ventures etc when they are so close in tranist.

Then for a rare few who are into serious Vedant and Tantra will get some realisations, Siddhis etc in this time frame. So if you are of a Dharmic bent of mind, do pursue your sadhana. Every time has some positives and some negatives. So be alert of the challenges and capitalise on the opportunities. 

Rahu has a very typical result. He will encourage you to try for so many things and also gives you some of these successes in his time.
