Hindus worship Intelligent Consciousness

There is quite some confusion about what ‘God’, if any, is worshipped by followers of Sanatan Dharma, aka Hindus. We Hindus pray with equal intensity inside temples dedicated to various ‘Gods’, to trees, to coconuts/ areca-nuts, the earth, at the sea-shore or to a mountain, a stone, or a river. We revere animals, especially desi humped-cows and elephants with the same intense faith. Ravens are given their due importance. If we have a living Guru we will do his puja. We touch the feet of our elders with respect. We recognise the divine energy in everyone, we welcome strangers with a ‘Namaste’, which means we recognise the ‘Ultimate power who is focussed infinity’ in them. (Namaste is a Sanskrit word which means, the paradox of the Para. Union of illusion and wisdom together. Depth of stillness and flowing movement together. The eternal unborn one in solitude.)

However different the external forms of the object of worship may be, the common theme is that we adore the ‘Parabrahma’. One might say he worships Vishnu, Brahmadev or Shiv but he will agree that he really worships the ‘Para’. The Para-brahma is the one beyond-para, the intelligence-brahma, who cannot be described in the limited language of this manifested world, the source of us all. For every Hindu the goal of life is to attain Moksh, ie to experience his own true nature. The individual soul/Jivatma takes several lives, creates and works out his karma. The law of karma is executed by the personal conscience-Antaratma. Whatever you act, think feel etc, this is evaluated by your own personal conscience.  You are your own judge of your act, you pass judgement also allot and demerit/ merit.

So the ‘god’ of Hinduism is the beyond, Para. And everyone of us is that same Para. Just we have forgotten our reality. Everything you see, feel, do etc is the Para which has taken on different forms. Follow whatever you choose. All paths lead to the same destination, enlightenment Moksh. The only difference between your own soul and the Universal Soul-Paramatma is the binding of karma.

Then the question is, if we worship one Singular Para, why this multiplicity of ‘gods’? Shiv, Vishnu, Brahmadev, Indra, Varun, Agni, Savitr, Prajapati, Shakti, Laxmi, Ganapati, Skanda, local gods, family gods, village gods, tree gods, mountain gods, the list is endless. The reason is that there is a multiplicity of human nature, each one is different. Some prefer worshipping a female-Devi deity, some prefer a child-bala form, a terrible-ugra form, a peaceful-saumya form, or the elements rivers- Aap, fire- Agni, etc. There is essential freedom in Hinduism, you can worship any form you choose. There is no compulsion to follow a rule-book. In fact there is no rule-book! You should choose the route which stills your mind’s chattering ’spiritual practice’ should be as per your inclination. And every route you choose will take you to the Source, because everything, including you, is a Ray from that same Source.

Our bodies, are composed of these different energies, the 33 classes of deities, the 5 elements Pancha-bhoot,  the 7 types of essences sapta-dhatu, the 5 sheaths kosh, the different types of vital energies/pran, etc.

Our soul, now that is different, it is Para.

Hindus worship Intelligent Consciousness

The Shri-chakra is my favourite yantra. It is easy to explain too because it is visual. You always focus on the central Bindu. This increases the intelligence levels which is an asset in material life. And acts as a guide map for the internal geometry to copy and set itself correctly. Each point and each line of the yantra is defined as a deity, ie an intelligent consciousness. When you stare at the yantra so many types of tremendous energies look back at you with intent attention. Each of these has a name (listed out in the Khadgamala at 2.41 seconds to 7.50 seconds is the main stotra). All of these points and lines are conscious intelligence increasing in energy intensity. Eg the outermost deities will grant you Siddhi-abilities to manipulate time/space/energy, anima, garima, ishitva, vashitva etc. Siddhi are looked down upon by the really serious practitioners. (Eg my cousin 2000km away was in shock, it took 2 seconds of focus to set his energy and physical body right. But if I feed my ego with this, it will create problems in my practice, my focus will waver.) They all pull you towards themselves. But you should understand that that if you gain the whole, these parts will be yours by default. Gain the Bindu and everything below it is automatically yours. You should focus on the central dot always.

This Shriyantra is You! Your energy diagram, you are focussing worshipping adoring your own Entire Self. Liberation is not going to come from outside, it is within you.

Then as you intensely focus your mind, the deities/ conscious energies of the inner circles also offer you abilities. The concentration of your mind is tested to the extreme at every step. You refuse to get caught in their gifts and focus even more intently till you see just the center-most equilateral triangle and the central Bindu. (You will actually see it in your Dhyan, a downward pointing triangle, the brahmanadi within the Sushumna). This means you have reached the Satva-Raja-Tama gun.

Now the test of focus becomes very subtle, the triangle has to be perfectly balanced for you to enter the inner most Bindu mandala, the region of the central Bindu. The three Gun are the essential substance of manifestation. All three are equal in power and importance. All three Gun are equal and they sort of merge form and reform in random continuous motion. This motion is the cause of manifestation. You need all three in perfect balance.

Without Raja-gun you will have no movement. To set the unbalanced Gun back in balance you will need to use the power of movement with intention. This means you will have to understand Raja-gun in its deepest sense. So the defining mantra of Sanatan Dharm is the Gayatri mantra linked to the active principle of Raja-gun, Sarasvati. Every Hindu is required to recite the Gayatri mantra every day! Raja-gun acts on Satva and Tama and puts them out of balance initially. So Raja-gun will be used intentionally by you to bring it all back into balance again.

You will face these three as your kundalini enters the vama, jeyshtha and raudri chakras. (It is long route but because someone asked I am writing this.) If you practice regularly you experience this in a few years. The 3 Gun are represented by conscious energies called Vishnu-satvik, Brahma-rajasik and Shiv-tamasik. Each one of these are equal to the other, no one is bigger or smaller. All three gun are to be ‘defeated’ as they are a part of the manifested, your kundalini will move beyond them. They are not your focus point, just like the Siddhi-s you gain. You are not Vishnu, Shiv or Brahmadev. You reality is even more deeper than these. But they are important in practice. You need help, support, a crutch, these are the crutches. Your source of faith, your ishta-dev, your family gods, etc are very important as they are the support in your initial practice. As your practice deepens you will gradually link with the central Bindu directly. You leave behind the crutches as you learn to walk on your own.

You become what you adore. You practice Dhanur-vidya, science of making war, stilling your mind, with single pointed focus, you will become a warrior. You practice tantra, you will become adept at it. You follow a criminal, you will become a criminal. You do mantra-jaap of Gayatri mantra you will find your internal Light. You follow a Guru you will gain Moksh. What you choose to follow is as per your conscience. Choose a route which appeals to you. But remember the law of karma operates so choose wisely.

The Vishnu Sahastranama is a stotra-mantra where 1000+8 names of Vishnu are given. It is from the Mahabharat. Bhishma recites it and tells Yudhishthir that it is the sure-shot route for Moksh. Each one of these names starting from Vishwam to Sarvapraharnayudha are tremendous. Vishwam means ‘everything’ also ‘individual’ and Sarvapraharnayudha means ‘the one who is ready at all times in all ways to fight’ (but fight what? The vagaries of the mind!). Understanding and experiencing one out of the 1000 words may take a life time as they are all paradoxes. I have recited it innumerable times (takes 30 mins) and done its Homa (takes 1hr). The burst of energy from this practice is infinite. Its energies are healing, even if you cannot recite, listening to it (I like this recital by Uma Mohan) also benefits.

Its phala-shruti which is read last is narrated as a conversation. Here Parvati asks her husband Shiv to reduce the power of this 1000+8 names into one word. Shiv gives this word as ‘Rama’ as being equal to the 1000 names. Then Krishna tells Arjun, ‘the real power of my 1000 names is achievable by the recitation of a single shlok ‘Soham’. So now can you imagine the power Soham has? To understand Soham you have to understand these 1000 Sanskrit words first, each is a mantra in itself. And conversely if you understand Soham you automatically understand the 1000 names! Either way you look at it both outcomes are same. You choose which path you prefer, destination is same. The last shlok said by Brahma is exceptionally awesome, “Namo astu anantaya sahastra murtaye sahasra pada akshi shirh uru bahave sahastra namne purushaya shashvate Sahastra koti yugadhaarine namah”, the energy of this one line!

What is ‘Krishna’? Bhagwat Gita is a Yog-shastra by Yogeshwar Krishna, it has to be practiced in Dhyan. To someone who does Dhyan, Krishna is the undefinable energy seen at the Ajnya chakra. This energy is the Guru/force which pulls the kundalini up to unite with the Kutastha purush. This energy connects you to Reality.

Read the Vignyan Bhairav tantra. Here Shiv/Bhairav, describes the practice which helps attain the state of Para. Every book on tantra is described by Shiv to Parvati. Even Jyotish is described by Shiv to Parvati. Recently am reading a Sanskrit book on Ramal-jyotish ‘Ramal rahasya’, it starts with this, Shiv telling Parvati to teach this only to deserving students! No one book/practice is greater than the other. If you can become a real Jyotishi you can attain Moksh via this route too. Every Vidya, every Shastra every Tantra and each type of Yog will lead you to yourself. There is nowhere else to go! But whatever you choose to follow, you have to practice regularly.

If you are inspired by Vishnu Sahastranam, the last name is Sarvapraharnayudha सर्वप्रहरणायुध. Be prepared to fight, in every way, at every time, with all possible weapons, against all possible enemies. And there are several. If you are following the Bhagwat Gita route, you will meet the energies of the entire Kaurav army and Kuru warriors on the Kurukshetra of your Asan. Your final enemy will be your ego as Duryodhan. These stories Mahabharat or Ramayan or Devi Mahatmya actually happen in energy terms as you do your Dhyan.

In this life I have done pujas using Mahamryutunjai mantra, Gayatri mantra, Navavarna mantra, Shri-sukta, mantras/suktas/stotras from Devi Mahatmya, obviously I do Dhyan. The end result is the same, stilling of the mind. After you do your recital, homa, whatever practice, you have to sit motionless on your asan for at least 30mins. This stillness is of the mind too, only then it is really Dhyan. Whatever you experience in these minutes is your achievement, a few steps further on the road to Moksh.

(There was this question. As my answer was too long posted it as a full-fledged post.

Hi, But Shri Vishnu Sahasranama is suggested by Bhishma in the presence of Shri Krishna in the Mahabharat for Liberation. Doesn’t this mean worship of Vishnu as the god among the trinity is superior? Or is it suggestive of worship of Sattva Guna for transcending the Gunas? Thank you.)

Venus the owner of Taurus and Libra

Venus owns the 2nd and the 7th signs/rashi of the Zodiac, Taurus/Vrushabh and Libra/Tula. Thus he is also the natural owner of the 2nd and 7th houses/bhava of the chart. He is the agent/Karak of treasuries and partnerships, of everything that adds value and validation to you. Venus is all the ways you feel good about yourself.

Venus the owner of Taurus and Libra

Venus is the Ruler of Taurus

This Venus personality has to maintain the resources of value in every sense, from the physical, spiritual, emotional, histories and songs. And he is very good at increasing his collections, hoards and treasuries of every type. He is the soul of every party and knows how to get the mood going. This Venus may sound easy-go-lucky but has an important role in maintaining the social norms and he is very serious about it. He is the custodian of the traditions, knowledge and stories of the family culture. He will resist every change which will unbalance. But his resistance is also beautiful and balanced, the iron fist in a velvet glove. At the very basic levels, he feels good about himself in the society when he has money!

This Venus can get so attached to money and the things that money can buy that he can subsume his personality to these things. He then considers his brotherhood and neighbourhood to be his biggest assets. He is interested in the stability of his homeland and also the welfare of his mother and maternal relatives. This Venus is quite at home with expressing his creativity and being in the public eye.  However he is susceptible to malefic evil eyes and jealousy, which are a result of being too much in the public eye. He is distrustful about equitable sharing of resources with legal partners and prefers keeping it to himself, however secret ways of increasing his assets appeal to him. With his chosen spouse he will be on good terms but there will be an undercurrent of unbalance, of complaints and stress. He is again not very interested in listening to his peers and paternal figures. His profession and actual father are very important to him though. His life philosophy will be to work hard and play hard! And he does gain through his profession and has multiple sources of income. Social status and power is the foundation of this Venus’s life and pleasure.

Attached to idea that he needs to be valuable in the eyes of the society by displaying his collections he will forget that he needs to find his own real personality first. By the time he realises that the validation he receives from society can be quite unpredictable, fleeting and erratic, it might be too late to seek his own Real Self.

Venus is the Banker in Taurus.

Venus is the Ruler of Libra

Venus in his second form is required to maintain legal and equitable partnerships of every type in every context. Personal, professional, emotional, spiritual, counselling, trading, etc, all sorts of relationships are defined by Venus. At the very basic levels he will feel good about himself if he has a good marriage. I have written a detailed post on the inherent balance of Libra here.

Libra seeks balance. Anything that is out of balance or unfair is deeply disturbing to this Venus. He is fair, impartial and quite intellectual here. He bargains and keeps track, if he has given out something he will expect fair returns. The earthy good humour of Taurus-Venus is absent here. Venus-Libra likes refined intellectual company. (I wonder does he even laugh out aloud till tears come in his eyes). His level of intellect can be so rarefied that he sometimes comes across as an intense workaholic driven personality. He is quite secretive about his own resources and his pleasures are also not in public. His favoured company is peers, patrons, religious and spiritual personalities with whom he can interact on the intellectual plane. He is on good terms with his own father and often is involved in a family business, most likely a lawyer! He likes his work and his office soon can become a home.

This Venus loves displaying his creativity in public, in front of an audience of strangers. Stage fright is simply out of the question. His children are also quite the little performers in school plays and lucky in life. His losses, diseases, debts and enemies are few on the physical plane but he suffers in secret. His partners are vigorous, physical leaders. He partners with pioneers and then follows them up creating bargains and alliances. He has few close friends and siblings with whom he connects. He can be very passionate about humanitarian ideals as long as it is fair for everyone concerned.

Venus is the Lawyer in Libra.

Venus the owner of Taurus and Libra

In my personal opinion Venus is even more dangerous than Saturn. Saturn is at least ‘in your face’ straightforward even, if he is going to make you balance your pending karma he will openly do it. You know you are in for a phase of hard work and stress. Saturn and Venus are also best buddies, with Saturn getting exalted in Libra.

But Venus coats every action of his with such sweetness that you never really understand what is really going on. He is the strictest teacher, Daityaguru Shukaracharya, and his karmic lessons are the most difficult because they don’t look like lessons. If you are satisfied with the validation you get from the society or your partners you will not look inside for the real spiritual validation from your Real Self/Moksh. And validation from fellow humans is very dangerous, it is erratic, changeable, un-predictable and volatile.

Back to physical life, if Venus is not in a position to give good results in your horoscope you face an inner sense of invalidation. ‘Un-worthiness’ is created. The only way to get out of this crippling feeling is to understand that you have to first realise your own self-worth! If you can generate this sense of approval, value, worthiness and appreciation for yourself at your deepest emotional/psychological levels this is forever.

If you analyse your marriage and your relationship with your loved one, you will realise that you both basically make each other feel ‘worthy’. Talking, romantic dinners, movies, travelling together, physically touching, gifts, flowers and jewellery is a way that we offer validation to our loved one and expect the same validation in return. If we do not receive this in return we get dissatisfied with the relationship and seek a way out. Else if validation turns into devaluation and criticism we seek to dissolve the partnership. But there is tremendous spiritual and emotional energy in addition to financial, legal and social aspects in this alliance. Thus the dissolution process affects the emotions and spiritual stability of both. So what do you do after this break-up? Search for another human partner for validation or search for your inner worthiness?

In a business partnership also validation exists, the financial statements and the profits you two make together is appreciation and proof of ‘worthiness’. Once this validation is lost eg. the business makes losses you two break the partnership. There is little emotional involvement here so dissolving the partnership consists of wrapping the remaining material, financial and legal issues. Starting with a new business partner or going solo into new ventures next is also comparatively more simple.

So here is Venus the owner of Taurus and Libra. He is not so romantic as he looks. He is a Guru, so he will by the best means possible take you onward on your spiritual journey. He has infinite patience too, so will wait patiently till you ask for his real gifts. Only then will he show you the Ultimate which is behind his facade of beautiful pleasures.

Other planets influence the Moon

In western astrology, I think the Sun sign is considered the most important. I see matchmaking sites and daily prediction sites which use the Sun sign for the predictions. Sun sign determines your physical energy, your ego, your place in the society etc, and the Sun changes its sign in transit once per month. But in the Indian system we are more focussed on the Ascendant i.e. the sign which was rising at the east when you were born, and we majorly focus on the birth Moon sign. In this post I will cover a bit on how your birth Moon is influenced by other aspects and how this is expressed in your life.

Other planets influence the Moon

Moon is reflection and impression. He faithfully reflects whatever energy rays fall on him. And if you think about this, the mind also always responds to what is happening around it. It picks up impressions and then it reflects the same impression faithfully. A happy event will make it happy and a sad event will make it sad. The function of mind is to respond, to laugh, to cry, to feel happy or depressed on what is happening around it. So the goal of life in Sanatan Dharm is to gain a state of internal stability where the mind is not swayed by what is happening around it. Rather the mind is trained to look deep within itself, and find the internal consistent ultimate joy which it will reflect for ever.

Anyways back to the astrological details. So whenever you have to analyse anything to do with the moon, remember to check out the aspects of the other planets on him. The other planets who are conjunct with him. And the location of the owner planet of the house that he is placed in. These other planets will influence the moon. The Moon is your emotions and your emotion is ultimately who you are. And the emotions change with time, age, locations, surroundings, influence of others etc. eg a beggar will be comforted by a piece of dry bread but you and me really wont look at that piece of bread twice.

Another interesting observation is that all planetary combinations with the Moon allow you to project your feelings on others. for example. Sun is self ego, logical thinking, rational behaviour, confidence etc and if you have sun-moon aspects you will project your these traits on others irrespective of what they are actually.

The moon tells us what will comfort us, what will disturb us and what will make us satisfied emotionally. This is the domain of the mind.

Moon with Mars will link the expression of your energies with your emotions. You will be emotionally competitive and even though others might find this a bit odd, you will find mental comfort in behaving like this. You are confident but sometimes want to be taken care of. Your mother will be a vitally active person and may be an important member of the society. You will receive a lot of nurturing from your father and other father-figures. You will believe in brotherhood and may have several male friends. Your residence will be comfortable. You will like working in places where active physical movement is see. You are emotionally upset by arguments and diseases. You will be most satisfied when you are the first and recognised as the first.

If you have your Mercury influencing your Moon then be prepared to add your emotions into your communication style. Your expressions of creativity will be emotionally charged and you will find it deeply satisfying. You may be a writer or an artist, and the topics on which you write will be the emotions, maternal figures, the homeland, love and friendship. You like analysing and going into details. You may feel happy when you preach or deliver messages from a higher authority. You will take joy in siblings and extended cousins of your same age group. You are emotionally upset if someone preaches to you or scolds you for being immature.

Jupiter is the planet of expansion and when it influences the Moon it will make you emotionally effusive. You will feel emotionally satisfied when you expand, maybe your thoughts, your family, your business etc. You are sensitive to guidance from a higher authority and you often feel like a teacher or a preacher. You will be teaching religious, scholarly or pedantic subjects. You like seeing the overall broader picture and cannot be bothered by nitty-gritty. You are comfortable in being cautious and would not do anything that would make you seem ridiculous. You are apprehensive about appearing silly.

Venus with Moon makes you emotionally involved in relationships. You have several emotionally satisfying and comfortable relationships with your loved one, parents, family members, friends, teachers, neighbours etc. Often in these relationships, you may be the indulgent one, spoiling the other one, letting him have his way. You may be physically beautiful particularly with beautiful eyes. You are comforted by beautiful things and may have a beautiful mother. You are passionate about justice and fairness. You may be a teacher too but teaching esoteric topics of deep knowledge.

Saturn influencing Moon is one of the saddest combinations I have seen. You are just so emotionally restricted. You do not know what comfort means, you also do not know real rest. You may be well off but still unable to feel joy in what you have. You also work a lot but in that too there is no joy, just duty. You may find comfort in working in a governmental structure. Your mother did not have a happy childhood herself and she is afraid internally of allowing to love now. You have suffered because of this sub-consciously and now express by being blunt and harsh in speech and behaviour. You feel deeply responsible for young children and find comfort in making life comfortable for them. You may have had to become a Parent for your parents. You have no emotional support.

Sun if influencing the Moon makes you highly self focussed, and you derive emotional satisfaction from being entitled. You father may be a prominent member of the society and you have felt security with him. You are the bright king, sensitive yet confident and you are insistent on your own self and your ego. You do not like to share. You are however unaware of other’s emotional needs and are less sensitive to other’s feelings. You are less comfortable in your house but more satisfied when you are in the center stage of politics of theatre.

Rahu influencing Moon makes you emotionally attached to the “want to achieve”. You are emotionally satisfied by the act of the achievement. The object of the achievement is not important. You want more and more opportunities to achieve. You are comforted by the high-risk, the exotic and the unusual and you want to feel exceptional always. Though you may be from a lower status you want to enter higher status by hook or crook. You do not have a moral compass. You find being exotic and passionate comforting and you often disrupt your relationships and social standings. You must guard against over-reaching.

If in your birth chart, Ketu influences the Moon, this makes you makes you unconcerned with emotional perceptions such as empathy, sympathy, compassion etc. You don’t really need any emotional support or comfort. You are emotionally unavailable and generally indifferent to the mother and maternal figures. Probably these were emotionally unavailable or you were abandoned by them. You are not emotionally linked to your homeland and family culture. You are internally the rootless hitchhiker with a need to wander around. You have zen-like awareness of observing everything without any emotional attachment and feel partly like a pilgrim.

So do go through your birth chart and check out which planets are influencing your Moon, your emotions, your feelings and your comfort zones. Do the same for your loved one and compare notes. If not anything, at least this post might help you and your loved one connect more on the emotional levels this bringing more emotional fulfilment in your lives.

All clients are the same

Throughout the years spent with interacting with people, listening to their questions and answering them, I have realised that though everyone of us thinks that we are very unique, we are all really the same, very same.

The questions I get can be divided into

  1. Relationships
  2. Money and business
  3. Health

And after they listen to what I have to say, their reactions are again just of three types

  1. Satisfaction and acceptance
  2. Dejection and resignation
  3. Rebellion (second opinion!)

And rarely have I met a client who asked a different question or gave a different reaction.

So the entire human experience basically revolves around a limited set of events and situations. The mind then takes up the event and starts playing with it, in all the possible permutations and combinations. This takes up considerable mental and spiritual energy. The mind plays with itself, imagining sadness, happiness, anger, regret etc over and over as if stuck in a loop. This loop is based on the past experiences and future aspirations of each individual mind. After the mind has exhausted itself in this loop then it comes to a conclusion. And strangely the types of conclusions possible are also extremely limited.

Thus the entirety of the human experience lies in this game that the mind plays. Now is this possible that this world that we are seeing is a constructed by the mind? Our waking state is a dream? Our dreams are our realities? Could the Matrix, in fact, be the real story? We cannot trust our minds, it is the reflection of the Moon, ever changing.

So now tell me, who are we really? Are we then just our mind? Or are we different from the mind?

There are examples where a person with an amputated limb still “feels” the presence of the limb in his mind, “phantom limb syndrome”. The mind sort of “fills in the blanks”. But he knows that the limb does not exist, just feels it to be so, thus is misguided by his mind. Then in this case who is “the one who feels” and who is “the one who knows”? They must be two separate entities as there are 2 distinct experiences. The doctor tells him that “the one who knows” is the correct as the limb has been amputated and “the one who feels” is a false experience. And the person trusts his doctor and accepts his words.

Now put this example in a spiritual context. Our Sanatan Dharma is the Doctor here. The Doctor says, Remember “you – the Conscious” is separate from “you – the mind”. The “conscious you” is being misguided by your mind. See the feelings being created by the mind for the illusion that they are. See the reality that is the Ultimate. The “conscious you” is the Parabrahma and the “mind you” is the Mahamaya/creative power of the Ultimate. The Mahamaya puts up a wonderful dance, a drama that the Parabrahma observes. Mahamaya is an agent of the Parabrahma, which It has created for Lila /Play.

The instant the Mahamaya has performed all that is possible, the Lila comes to an end, and the dancer stops. “I have shown all that is possible”. And at that instant the “conscious you” stops observing, “I have seen it all!”. The performer, the stage, the play all vanishes like it was never there and there remains only eternal consciousness, the Parabrahma.

So how do we regain the real Us and experience our real pure consciousness? The only answer is, to stop believing the illusions shown by the mind to be real. But this is quite difficult as we have been believing the phantom limb to be real for so long that we are now quite scared of believing otherwise. We are using all our energies to firmly cling to the illusions when we should be in fact trying to shake them loose. We have been feeding our spiritual energy to “the mind” and not “the consciousness” within us. Our consciousness has become quite dim with the passage of so many lives, but Now is the time to shake it awake!

Regaining the real self is a long process, but well worth it. Start with simple steps, a simple affirmation which you can re, “I will find the Real Me and the Universe will help me do it”.

The Soul’s Journey

The soul’s journey, each one’s journey is the same. The intelligent life force which animates the multiverse, the Brahman in Sanskrit meaning “the all-knowing”,  separates small parts of itself, the souls and sends them to play the game of life. These souls, me and you, then take numerous lives and are born and die again and again. This seems quite pointless doesn’t it? But no, each of our these lives are full of interactions, learnings, experiences all fueled by the desire to know and know more…

Your and my journey is to Know .. to Know that Brahman again..

The Vedas give prime importance to the ‘One who Experiences’. Even if the situation is same, your and my experience of it will be very different. So open your mind and heart to the experience that is Life and you will find yourself singing along with it. There is no judge at the end of it, and there is no rule book for right and wrong. Your own conscience is your own judge and your conscience observes everything that you do. This is nothing but karma.

The universe is singing a song. This is the music of the stars and of the planets to which we were born. The song that the earth, the sun, the stars and the planets were singing at the moment of our birth is gets imprinted as the reference point in the new born baby. The moment of birth thus describes the life that the person will lead, thus we have our horoscope.

Traditionally the birth horoscope is used to predict events that happen during a life. The most common questions that I have been asked were regarding education, finances, health, marriage, children, property and inheritance and perhaps for locating lost objects. All these questions are concerned with the material aspects of living. But then we are so caught up in the business of living the day to day life, the grind, that we forget who we are. The soul needs emotional and spiritual support and if deprived it feels discomfort. This deep subconscious discomfort manifests itself as psychological issues. What should be a dance to the music of the universe becomes the daily grind.

In my long years of interacting with people and trying to find their answers i have never come across anyone who was even interested in exploring about spiritual practice or emotional development. In several horoscopes I saw deep subconscious tendencies which were manifesting themselves as problems and discontent in the material life. But the client was not interested in resolving these issues and just wanted a practical 1+1=2 type of solutions. I realise that working on ones own internal subconscious tendencies is extremely difficult. But the truth is that unless the internal discordance is not set right its external manifestation in terms of problems with finances, health, marriage etc will not go away.

So on this journey lets keep an open mind, we already have some baggage with us, the accumulated karma of our several past lives. Rather than burdening ourselves with more baggage lets work on resolving what we have and moving on free and happier.
