A total solar eclipse is due on 2nd October 2024. This is the Bhadrapad Amavasya, also called the Mahalay Amavasya. On this is the day, we offer tarpan offerings to all the departed ancestors. The gateways between the Martya Lok, the dimension of the living and the Pitru Lok, the dimension of the departed ancestors are fully open. This day is full of very heavy energies which weigh down. The time frame of the eclipse is as follows.
Solar eclipses are always linked to political changes. This time the eclipse will be visible only in a few nations in South America. Among the larger nations, mainly Argentina and Chile will see the totality. So they might go through some political issues. But the political turmoil on the global level will be less.
This eclipse will be passing over huge tracts of water. The Pacific, and the Southern parts of the Atlantic and the Southern seas are all going to witness the eclipse. The Sun and Moon are in Virgo in Hasta nakshatra. This eclipse is opposed by Rahu in the Pisces sign who is in the Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra.
The Sun has completely absorbed the Moon as it an Amavasya. In addition the Sun has completely combusted Mercury and both are on the same degree. Thus this eclipse is Ketu eclipsing the Sun plus Moon plus Mercury combination.
On the Nakshatra level, the Hasta nakshatra, is ruled by the Nakshatra devata Savitr. This lunar mansion is linked to the unstoppable unfolding of Karma.
