The sure-shot solution for prosperity

I am getting several messages for readings. I have finished my karmic quota so will not do them anymore. If I were still doing readings, I wouldn’t have started writing this blog! I simply wouldn’t have the time to write. But if there is something which can help understand your horoscope better, I will write on it, in the spirit of explaining the thing.

But for those who have genuine problems the one perfect remedy for all your problems is Shri-Sukta. It is from the Rg- Ved. We think we are unique, but we are all the same, we all have very limited types of problems, health, wealth, relationships, litigations, profession, children, education. All these can be covered easily by this one all-round remedy. You have to do this yourself with the intention and the genuine desire to come out of the problem. Self-pity and expecting that someone else will pull you out of your problem never works. But luckily for us our ancient Rishis have given us so many tools from Jyotish to the Sukta.

This is the link to the perfect text of the Shri-Sukta, the verses/ shlok from 1 to 15 are the Shri Sukta. Verse 16 is the phala-shruti, ie it tells you what you will get if you recite this Sukta. (The remaining verses are Laxmi Sukta, that is a different sukta.) For those who can read and pronounce Sanskrit words, recite it. Will take 2 mins of your time. But most of us cannot read our own mother tongue, the Devbhasha Samskrutam, so here is the Shri sukta recited perfectly by the singer Uma Mohan. (Do buy this same track, here the pronunciation is perfect, there are no mistakes). She follows the Shri Sukta with the Mahalaxmi Gayatri. Very beautiful. You can listen to this if you cannot read. Will take 4 mins of your time.

When to recite or listen to it? Twice a day is ideal, once after you have your bath in the morning and once at evening twilight. If you feel like it you can listen to it on a loop throughout the day, it is an energy boost. Some of my businessmen clients play it on a loop in their shops as it is in itself Prosperity, Shri श्री.

Here you are invoking the power of the highest form of Prosperity श्री to come to you in every way possible. You are requesting Shri to enter your body, mind and soul. It is a very intense and deep intention and always works for your benefit. Highly auspicious in every way possible. ‘Shri’ means the goddess of wealth, Devi Laxmi, the active energy of the Satva-Gun, wealth, beauty, radiance, splendour, welfare, power, grace, shine, success, fortune, process, symbol, might, dignity, etc. All the meanings are extremely positive on all levels.

Shri- Sukta will work for all your problems, try it for 21days with full intention and see for yourself.

To activate the Navavarna mantra

Next, if you have typical problems, ie if you know what your exact problem is and what you want. Then you can recite one verse from the Ashta-Laxmi stotra to add specific direction to your Shri-sukta rendition. There are 8 verses in the Ashta-Laxmi stotra, one for each of the following aspects of Devi Laxmi. The Shri-Sukta works well on its own and quite powerfully too, this one verse would be an additional thing if you want to do it. Or you can listen to the entire Stotra. Here is a recitation by the singer Gayatri, do buy it if you like it. She has sung it beautifully, you can listen to the entire stotra on the way to your office if you feel like it, rather than movie songs which have no energy.

  • 1st verse is for Aadi Laxmi – for spiritual progress and moksh
  • 2nd verse is for Dhanya Laxmi – for health, removal of poverty, for getting house/properties, medical emergencies
  • 3rd verse is for Dhairya Laxmi – for courage for facing a particular situation, intelligence, calmness eg before an interview, that flash of inspiration when you are stuck in work, issues in profession,
  • 4th verse is for Gaja Laxmi – this gives sheer power, physical/ emotional/ mental
  • 5th verse is for Santaan Laxmi – for children, for help during conception, pregnancy, delivery and for anything to do with children
  • 6th verse is for Vijay Laxmi – all round successes, eg during litigations, court cases, disputes
  • 7th verse is for Vidya Laxmi – for successes in exams or in learning technical subjects, when you start learning a new topic, to make what you learn work for you
  • 8th verse is for Dhan Laxmi – for money and material assets, prosperity in marriage

This will work for everyone irrespective of anything. The Sukta and the Stotra are both in Sanskrit so have inherent power, they are essentially mantra. These will not cause harm in any way to anyone. But they will not give you what is not yours, ie cannot be used to cheat others or to steal what is rightfully other’s stuff. Do it only if you are convinced of your right and positive intention.

If you want to, in addition, you can keep a small silver moorti of Devi Laxmi in your puja. Or an image. Or if you are more into geometry, an image of the Shri Chakra. At least keep such images as your phone’s wallpaper, rather than something random. It is perfect prosperity. This will help channelise the energies faster into your own self into your own life, rebalancing it.

Tripur, Tripurari, Tripursundari

Shri sukta, first verse

The Devi//Prakriti is the creative force of the Parabrahma/Ultimate consciousness. The Ultimate is inert and manifests the creative principle only when the intention of Leela/Creation arises. (Nasadiya Sukta Rg Ved 10th mandala 129th sukta describes how creation occurred). Those aspirants on the spiritual path desirous of Moksh/Experience of the Ultimate, first worship this creative force in all its names, forms with mantra, yantra and tantra. Everyone is supposed to recite the Gayatri mantra 108 times from the age of 6yrs onwards, I use this mantra in several ways. And the mantra I love is the navavarna mantra. And then is the Shrisukta which grants prosperity in all ways, it is 15 verses long. Shri means ‘prosperity’ and sukta means an ‘apt description’.

(The gender indicative words are meaningless as these are energies. However at the simplest explanation, ‘still’ energies are referred to as masculine and the energies ‘in movement’ are referred to as feminine)

Shri sukta, first verse

This sukta in very clear language describes the energy, kundalini and other locks, brahmanadi and what happens when the locks on self-identification open etc. There are 53 attributes of the Devi described in this sukta. The 54th is ‘Om’ an open secret. Om is used so easily these days that we forget its immensity. It is the only sound created by the mouth where the tongue is not involved. Will write more about this later, let’s continue with Her attributes.

The first attribute is Hiranyavarana. It has several meanings,

  • Hiranya means indestructible, inert, fire, gold etc. Varna means the ‘door on the opening’, sound, color, etc. Thus name means that She is the impregnable covering on the opening of the Brahmanadi. i.e. the kundalini and associated locking structures.
  • It is also a reference to the humming sound associated with the muladhar chakra. She exists in all living beings (hi) and makes a sound (varna) like a humming bumble bee (ranya). (If you close shut your ears you can hear your chakras, huming, rippling water, tinking of tiny bells, deep gong etc, if you are doing your spiritual practice you can hear 12 distinct sounds.)
  • Prajapati (from the 33 koti devata), uses this energy in binding the human soul/jeevatma to the body.
  • This can be opened by the mantra, ‘Om Hiranyavarnayai namah’.

Harini is the second attribute. It means beloved of ‘Hari’, or a golden doe.

  • When you do your dhyan deeply, you see a yellowish light. When you are unaware of what this means it can randomly appear and be visible. But the instant you recognise it for what it means, it will vanish. It will dance at the edge of your vision, tantalising. Capturing it again in the center of your vision is the challenge. (Forces of akshep and vikshep interfere, whenever you try to focus these forces pull/push your focus away). It is like catching a female deer. This is caused by disturbances of the swadhisthana chakra. (ripple-like karma related to the fluid emotions)
  • Thus her attribute Harini.
  • Only when you attain complete awareness with conscious effort, keeping the mind in complete control, will the upper opening of the Sushumna be visible steadily.
  • The mantra here is ‘Om Harinyai namah’.

Third attribute Suvarna-sraja. Su (auspicious) + varna + sraj (garland, one who creates)

  • She creates the garland of auspicious sounds, properly recited sounds of correct metre. i.e. the beej mantras of the chakra system, the 54 sounds of Sanskrit, the golden garland. Specifically the vowels of Sanskrit are referred to as Suvarna.
  • To reach each of these beej mantras, a specific ‘sacrifice’ is required. i.e. to attain the spiritual you have to give up the material.
  • She is the source of the creation as vibrations.
  • The embodiment of the most secretive mystery which resides at the very base of the Meru danda/below the muladhar chakra. This is the source of all prosperity. This is the lower opening of the brahmanadi, as this is the source of all prosperity in the spiritual sense.
  • The mantra here is Om Suvarnasraje namah.

The fourth attribute is Rajatasraja. Rajat means silver, gold, nakshatra, blood etc.

  • She is the creator of Rajat. She fixes the body with the energy of the nakshatra (Prabhas – one of the 33 types of energy).
  • The name Rajatsraj is also the collective name of the 11 Rudras who make up the body. (Rudras are also part of 33 classes of deities). She is the creator of the Rudras too.
  • Rajat specifically means the consonants of the Devbhasha Samskrutam.
  • The mantra here is Om Rajatasraje namah

The fifth attribute is Chandraa.

  • Chandraa means the whirling of time/space, delight, vibrations of happiness in the mind, melting, rising moon, illumination, the internal moon, the unfathomable ocean of consciousness within the brahmanadi.
  • It is also the canopy/covering that covers the Ultimate. She is so brilliant that one can get caught quite forgetting that there is something even more magnificent hidden behind her light.
  • When your internal self/Ksheer-samudra, is churned by the forces of Rahu/Ketu, desire/apathy, the gem of self-knowledge appears. The internal Moon/Chandra is the light which indicates that She is about to appear. The force called the ‘Moon’ is an infinitesimal fraction of Her force.
  • Om Chandraayai namah brings this bliss.

Her sixth name is Hiranmayi.

  • Hiran is again ‘sound’. ‘mayi’ means pervading. She exists from the basal chakra to the 12th dwadash chakra and beyond into the dwadashant as their beej mantra individually and the pranav mantra/Om collectively.
  • She is the primordial sound/Om, and resides at the center of creation. Creation here in the spiritual sense is your chakra system and the brahmanadi.
  • Om Hiranmayyi namah is her mantra here.

Her seventh name is Laxmi.

  • It has several meanings including distinguishing trait, mark, sign, splendour, fortune, dominion, success, formula etc.
  • She gives (la), despatches and directs (root word-kship). She is sent out from the Parabrahma. And she further sends out the energy of creation and directs evolution of the souls.
  • She is the reason there exists ‘difference’. See, you and me are essentially the same Parabrahma. What makes us different is the power of Laxmi. Laxmi also creates a difference between the jivatma/us and our real nature/Parabrahma. Laxmi is power we use when we act/do karma.
  • And her other face, la also means ‘to dissolve’. Thus she can also dissolve the outward appearances for the aspirant. And also herself dissolves into the Parabrahma when the game/Leela is over.
  • Om Laxmyai namah is her mantra here.

These names are in the first verse of the Shri sukta. The verse ends with ‘jaatvedo maavaha’. ‘Jaat’ means collection, kind, possesses, belonging to, caused by, apparent in, created by, born, manifested, arisen, creatures, result etc. ‘Ved’ means knowledge, perception, obtains, true, real, feeling, property etc. So here this phrase you are inviting/invoking the One who is the ‘true collection of real knowledge’ to bring to you all the 54 attributes of Shri.

The Shri sukta is glorious, the rhythm of the words enter your soul. I love this, have done its jaap, homa and listened to it endlessly. (Doing its Homa/jaap especially during eclipses is quite fruitful). This is a very inadequate post on its meanings. Some are from the Laxmi tantra and some of them are my understanding. Everything is Shri.

Shri sukta, first verse

Add energy to your gold and jewellery

Aurum, gold has fired the imagination of the human mind since ages. Obviously gold is equated with riches and being wealthy. But so many lives have been consumed in gold rushes, prospecting for gold, wars for stealing others gold, fighting with your siblings for the family gold etc.

Gold is the residence of the Goddess of Prosperity, Shri or Laxmi, Bhagwan Vishnu’s wife. So why should it drive the human mind crazy? Gold attracts, in the sense, gold metal has the ability to absorb intention and reflect it back faithfully. This makes it very very attractive for the human mind at the subconscious level. The misers of this world like to keep a hoard of physical gold where they can touch it and feel it.

But for me, gold has a totally different meaning. Gold is a tool in your energy work.

Everyone do this experiment. Most of us own a bit of gold, either a chain around the neck, a bracelet or a ring. Sit on your asan or in a quiet place and hold the gold in your palms. With utmost sincerity say the Srisukta over the gold. (This link is the correct text, the first 16 shlokas are to be recited). Feel the energies of the mantra entering the gold. Feel the presence of Laxmi Herself in the gold. Wear this piece of charged gold jewellery and see the difference in your life. Do this regularly once a week or so depending on your experience.

In case you are facing a money crunch, charge a small gold (or even silver) jewellery with the Shrisukta and keep it in your money box. Shri Laxmi Herself will come into your life. Just remember this is to be done regularly, at least once a week for continued prosperity.

Another thing that you should be very careful of is wearing gold worn by others, Never wear jewellery given to you by your parents or anyone directly. First wash it with charged water, hold it in your cupped hands and recite the Shrisukta on it once before wearing it. As the gold has been worn by someone else it has already taken on the imprint of that person within itself, his sorrows, diseases, regrets all may affect you when you wear it next. In fact, never wear anything used by someone else, may it be your loved grandmother, before cleansing it.

For cleansing or charging

  • For gold /silver use Srisukta
  • For gemstones use the beej mantra of that planet or Shrisukta as per your wish.
  • For clothes you receive from others, first wash the clothes in a water with a pinch of Sea salt. If you cannot wash them, put a pinch of sea salt in a paper packet, intend that it will remove all impressions of the previous owner. Put this packet in on the clothes for 5 mins and then flush the salt down the sink and the paper in the trash.

(If you cannot recite the Shrisukta, then you can recite ‘Om Mahalaxmayai namah’ or recite ‘Om’ over it a few times with focussed intention)

So if you own gold, charge it and wear it for its benefits. Do not just dump it in a locker and think of it as an “investment”. Gold is a living tool in your hands.

And yes there is a reason why we wear so much of gold, silver and copper or other metals on our bodies. Remember what I keep saying about our bodies being electromagnetic and not biochemical? The right side of the body is a bit more positively charged than the left half. The front half is more positively charged compared to the back half of the body. Wearing metals on specific parts of our bodies helps balance the electric currents flowing through our bodies. For example we, in Sanatan Dharm, pierce the earlobes of a 16day old baby, both boys and girls, and immediately put a thin gold wire through them. This point corresponds with the Pineal gland of the body. Doing this activates and ensures proper functioning of this master gland of the body.

And here is something that can inspire the gold-lovers amongst you, if you are well off and can afford buying 100gms of gold, make a chain for your waist. Remember gold is never to be worn below the manipur chakra of the body. It should sit exactly on your navel. This balances all the chakras/energy vortices of your body and generally thieves wont see it even if you go out alone. Wear gold bangles/bracelets in both your hands as we touch a lot of stuff with our hands. These bracelets act gloves protecting the energies of your hand from what ever energies you may be exposed to. Similarly wear silver chains in your ankles. Their energies will act as energy socks and protect.

So buy gold, as an investment if you wish, but do charge and use some of it for balancing your bodies and bringing even more prosperity into your lives.
