Transits and their power over you

I have seen so many people who scoff at the horoscopes. My own husband for some time after my marriage did not believe that the horoscopes could be this accurate! A Sun-dominated personality so cannot believe the horoscope can completely over-ride free will (typical nature of strong Suns!). You too will get such family members or friends who completely diss astrology or superficially say that they believe in it.

Always remember that your horoscope shows the choice of your birth. You chose the horoscope patterns. The way your current incarnation works ie your current body and mind is described by the horoscope. Not your soul, your soul is the Parabrahma, the Advaita itself, it is undefinable, unalterable. But your this current incarnation, the body/ mind created to go through karma and its repercussions is exactly as per the horoscope. If you tell me that you have such typical nature or you are going through such a situation at present or if you felt some typical emotion when you were a child, I can point out the exact combination in your horoscope which indicates this. We are all quite predictable and the horoscope does this by examining your own energy. Your body/mind and actions are clearly seen in your horoscope, it is undeniable. And if the horoscope shows some patterns for the future that too will happen. The reason is very simple, you yourself chose this at your own birth. You exercised your will at the point of birth, there are some options for course correction during the life, but the choice of birth has to be by and large honoured.

Transits are very important. These give the timing of the events indicated in the birth horoscope. An example, at this current moment, 29th Feb-2020, Mercury is combust and retrograde. You will be seeing juvenile arguments, pointless misunderstandings, faulty analytical processes all on an over-drive. And because he is combust too, there is a very high component of self-ego, selfishness, inability to see the other’s view point, the Sun has taken over the power of Mercury. They were exactly conjunct on 26th Feb, 2020, so a couple of days around this date would have been exceptionally ‘misunderstood’. People with a powerful Sun in their birth charts will seem even more domineering to others. (one person I know has an exalted Sun, 10th house, the strongest graha in his chart. Met him at a social function yesterday, his behaviour! but astrology can explain everything). On the other hand if your Sun is weak in your birth chart, then this period can be difficult on you, as you are more on the receiving end and nobody bothers to listen to your point of view. Mercury is combust and retrograde remember, its a double whammy. Then as usual, Mercury’s own guys, people with Virgo or Gemini especially as their Moon sign will be emotionally disturbed themselves and create mental disturbance to the others around them. It is unavoidable. Even if you know that this will happen the only option is to endure through. You can take measures to reduce the intensity or do something to recover faster but no remedy can completely avoid the unpleasant events.

Another interesting thing occurred 2 days ago, I was busy else would have written more about it. Sun was exactly conjunct Mercury in Aquarius and Mars in transit was exactly over Ketu in transit in Sagittarius. These Mars-Ketu conjunctions in transit have the potential to permanently sever connections both on the objective and subjective levels. Jupiter is with Mars/Ketu in Sagittarius, so he has lent his expansive energy to their fiery cut. This can indicate a highly karmic event and cause attendant severe trauma. I had written about the natures of Mars and Ketu in an earlier post. Ketu is said to be like Mars but he works on the subjective and astral planes and Mars on the objective and physical. Open your birth chart and see where house Sagittarius occupies from the ascendant sign.

  • Eg you are Libra ascendant, Sagittarius would be in the 3rd house. Go back 2-3 days and think back on the interactions with your siblings, brothers, neighbours, team-mates, co-workers etc. There would have been at least one really intense fight/argument which would have the potential to snap ties forever. You might continue loving your sibling but you cannot endure his/her company anymore!
  • Eg if you are Pisces ascendant, Sagittarius would be your 10th house, so one really intense event in the workplace or with the father etc, keywords of the 10th house, would have occurred 2-3 days ago. A good astrologer should always be aware of the current transits.

Transits and their power over you

In addition, the background energy of the biggest event, Saturn in Capricorn after 30yrs. I have repeatedly written in my several posts that this 5yrs transit of Saturn in Capricorn/ Aquarius is very critical especially for Cancer/ Leo ascendants. Aries, Libra and Capricorn ascendants too can expect karmic events unfolding. The tip here is to focus on just 1-2 high potential activities, not spread out your energies haphazardly. eg If you have one sure-shot business deal, focus on this with all your intensity, do not go chasing after possibilities. Saturn always prefers sure-shot pragmatic ventures rather than romantic possibilities. And work, work hard.

  • Cancer ascendants must have already started seeing the effect of Saturn transiting their 7th house, as one-one relationships start constricting, your life-time loves, spiritual practice, business deals show the strain. Cancer ascendants are possibly going through a very intense period where they need to make every move sensibly. Whatever you do now will be converted to karma, so be very careful (7th house’s hidden dangers). Behave sensibly, do not hurt, cheat, abuse others with whom you have one-one connects. Do your spiritual practice with serious discipline, it is a subject of the 7th house.
  • For Leo ascendants Capricorn is the 6th house, so you will be forced to work, karmic demands for work will consume all your time. You will not be able to rest, or spend time with your children/spouse. Your business partnerships may suffer as you are unable to give personal attention. All your one-one relationships will literally vanish, as you are going to work and only work. Do Soham jaap consciously as you travel or have a few minutes free in your day. This will help you regain your internal energy.

Now we know that Saturn is in Capricorn for quite some time so we should analyse the transits of the faster planets with respect to his position too.

  • Sun and Mercury are in Aquarius owned by Saturn. And Mercury combust and retrograde. This is the second sign counted from Capricorn. And Capricorn is twelfth counted from Aquarius. So events triggered by the energies of Sun+Mercury have Saturn’s energy as an undercurrent. Family times, family connections, dreams, sleep and the rest of the keywords of the second and twelfth houses are interlinked here. See for yourself how this has translated in your own chart.
  • The current Mars/Ketu are doing their thing in Sagittarius, it is counted twelfth from the Saturn in transit. So their dissociative energies are capable of cleanly slicing off whatever Capricorn sign stands for in your life. Check it out.
  • Mars will enter Capricorn in March to be with Saturn. He will be exalted here. So you will want to take risks with the Capricorn stuff in your life. Saturn does not like risks whatsoever. So internal conflicts can disturb you. If you have Saturn-Mars aspecting or in conjunction in your birth horoscope, be careful while Mars transits Capricorn. Accidents, heat-related issues can occur. If you are a Manglik, avoid risky behaviour. This is important, do not pick fights or hurt others by your aggression.
  • And then 31st Mar, Jupiter enters Capricorn and on the same day Saturn and Mars are exactly conjunct. Keep a look-out on what happens around this date.
  • Kaal-sarpa keeps popping in and out, partial for 15days and then full for 15days alternating till June, adding its own energy to the mix.

All this was a very generic discussion on how the horoscopes work. The individual results will depend on your personal horoscopes. So if you want to analyse transits first sit down when you have time, it is going to take one hour. Open your birth horoscope for the physical stuff. Open your birth Moon horoscope for the emotional stuff. Draw these two charts on a paper, analyse them a bit again. Open your software and the current transits, see how the planets are interacting with each other in the present moment in the skies. Now use a different colored pen and write the current transits on your birth and Moon charts. Now use your knowledge of the planets basic natures, their ways of working, their aspects etc. Try to see patterns being created between the birth positions and the current positions. Try to tally with what is going on a your life. It takes some practice but it is worth it because it helps make sense of what is happening to you. If good events are around then enjoy yourself. If adverse events surround you, know that they are there for a short while, as the transits change, eventually the situation will also change. This gives the mind courage to face up to what is happening. Mind needs hope to support it and Jyotish with its Light, gives just this Hope.

Rahu Ketu and existential sorrow..

Rahu and Ketu, the nodes of the Moon are very powerful forces in your chart. These two are life, the experience of living. These astral planets are linked to the karma you have to balance so that you can transcend creation. Forces generated by this axis, affect you at your deepest core. If you go with their flow and allow them to transform you, you will with time gain your own Self. These are not very prominent in souls who have just started their evolution in the human form. For those souls who are nearing their goal in the soul’s evolution their role is crucial. (I assume that my readers are either students of Jyotish or spiritual aspirants, given the content of my blog!)

Suppose you are put in jail and given good food, nice rooms and other comforts etc, will you be happy? You might feel good about the comforts for some time, you might watch the TV provided, play some games etc to distract your mind/ soul. But deep down you know you are in jail, you cannot go out. The very act of being in jail is enough to make you internally unhappy. This is Rahu-Ketu, they are the jail. The comforts etc provided in the jail are the 5 tara-graha connected to the 5 lower chakras. The Sun and the Moon are the tiny twinges which you feel from time to time which make you desire freedom from this jail. Rahu affects the material, Ketu the spiritual. They churn the very soul. Thus Rahu and Ketu are the existential sorrow caused by the very act of your individual soul being bound inside this jail called creation.

Rahu and Ketu represent the karmic forces created by your own actions from your past incarnations. And you cannot escape them. They are always 180deg away, one below the horizon and one above the horizon. One Node below the horizon will represent the past ‘fruits’ which you have no option but to enjoy/endure. This is the sub-conscious side, the choice made by your higher self at birth. The other node above the horizon, this indicates the scope of conscious choice, the actions that you can perform and the options that you will have in this respect.

4be41a6bad65daf285f21e02a6062da7

Rahu/Ketu are said to be more powerful than the luminaries, Sun/Moon as they have the power to obscure them from time to time. They are the Kings of Karma. Results linked to Rahu/Ketu cannot be predicted with accuracy. The material results can obviously be predicted to some extent. But their real effect is on the astral and causal body, the mind and soul levels. This effect is very intense and cannot be predicted unless you are able to read the Sudarshan chakra chart. They indicate how you convert your life experiences into your mind/soul learning. This is actually a part of the soul’s evolution.

Eg. You marry well, a nice spouse, good children etc and your material life changes for the better after marriage. This is under the influence of the 5 Tara graha. But how does this experience affect your mind/ soul is your soul evolution. This impression is what you carry on with you in your next lives not the material life part. If Rahu is connected in any way to your 5th/ 7th houses, he will cause disenchantment with child/spouse. Depending on his power this may be more intense or less. Eg a single powerful Rahu will de-link your mind/soul more sharply and give more intense sorrow from these things on the subjective level.

63b803750c7ba76b8e95ead5e015def7

Some authors say that Rahu is like Saturn and Ketu is like Mars. But do not take this literally! The nature of Rahu and Ketu is always subjective never objective.

Saturn is discipline, working out your karma systematically, restrictions, fear etc. eg If in the 5th house, Saturn can cause issues with your children. You know the specific reason for your unhappiness and you endure it as a continuous unhappiness. It is rather objective. But if Rahu is in the 5th house, the experience is very different. He will grant disillusionment with all the things connected with the 5th house on it is on the subjective level, ie he hits on the astral, psychic, soul level. First he will make you try and try for all the stuff related to the 5th house. Each time it will seem like you are going to succeed, you can taste the victory but at the very last minute it slips out of your hand. Or you over-reach and fall flat. Or you get the thing but it feels hollow. He shatters the material hopes very thoroughly. He will cause this high-low, hope-disappointment cycle again and again, grinding into your soul that this is ultimately an illusion. The deepest lesson taught very minutely. Both Saturn and Rahu ultimately will detach you from the material but they way they work is very different. Rahu, just like Ketu, operates under authority of the highest Eternal. Rahu will cause eventual dissatisfaction with the material things, shatter the illusion. Ketu will cause eventual dissatisfaction with your spiritual things! If anything shatters it gives pain, but once you look up beyond this shattered barrier, because these things were a barrier, you see your Own Self.

Mars is an explosion of raw energy, challenging, pioneering, likes explorations, is very active. Ketu also does the same thing but on the mental and soul levels. Ketu has a rare incisive intelligence which can cut through the bindings on the mind/ soul. Unafraid, actually emotionless, he uses his intelligence to rip open all illusions. This is the most cryptic and difficult to understand thing about Ketu. Your spiritual concepts, philosophy, practice, mantra etc are your life-line to the spiritual realm. Ketu will cause systematic detachment from these. (You might wonder at this statement, it sounds so crazy.) Ultimately to realise your real self, you have to leave your material desires and also your spiritual desires. ‘Spiritual desires’ again sounds like a paradox, but people feed their ego with their spiritual activity, eg you can get proud that you did some complicated puja, or learnt some cryptic ritual, or learnt by rote so many stotras or did so much pilgrimage, bought a rare 1 mukhi-rudraksh etc. These things very subtly bind you to the illusion of creation. You ‘practice’ spirituality, it is something you do for some time every day. Ketu cuts this ego created by outer spiritual practice. He forces you to search for the core, the easiest, most natural spontaneous continuous state. From ‘regular spiritual practice’ you move towards ‘continuous awareness of self’. For this to happen an apocalyptic breakdown occurs sometime in life, a sense of sheer helplessness is induced, you feel small, humiliated, you are knead to dust. Ketu thoroughly annihilates the sense of individual self-ego with his incisive sharp intelligence. After this life changing event shatters all the limits on the thinking process, the mind and the soul both are set free. He forces you to think, to contemplate, the mind is forced to enlighten itself, the soul is made to realise itself.

This existential sorrow is more intensely felt for those who have chosen to test themselves with combinations connected to Rahu/ Ketu. The Kaal-sarpa, the partial Kaal-sarpa, the Guru-chandal, or a single powerful Rahu or a single powerful Ketu in pivotal houses. If you have such powerful Rahu/ Ketu know that this life is an exam-time for you. Eg. In school there are 15days of exams in a year. For these 15days, you don’t watch TV, don’t go out with friends, you sit at home, stay up late, revise your syllabus, focus, ketugive your exams. If you are firm with yourself for these 15days, you do well in your exams, you get promoted to the next grade. The prize is worth those 15days of hard work and tests. For you similarly, this life is an exam, you have chosen it yourself. You have been preparing for so many lives now. In this life you are ready, the syllabus is all revised, now you need give your exam. Rahu and Ketu is an axis, they work together. They enforce the eternal law of Karma. To make sense of the most hard hitting life experiences which you will go through, analyse your Rahu/Ketu. Once you do this, you will come to terms with what you have chosen at birth. Because even if the tests are rather typical, the prize is well worth it.

e57d6fc3192b4a9db4f1e10223830744

The sorrow created by Rahu/Ketu makes one ultimately desire for Realization. The depth of emotion is so weird, so subtle, so elusive, so radical and so beyond all other remedial measures. The mind/ soul gets so disillusioned with all these material stuff and their deep impacts that it finally accepts that the only way out of its jail is self-realization.

There will be periods of periodic despair triggered by the transits/dashas. So you must find some real solid support for your mind/ soul, ie reading philosophy eg Bhagvat Gita, or Gayatri mantra jaap, or practicing Dhyan using Soham etc. These typical periods are very critical as the mind can choose to take up short term fixes like addictions, or you might take emotionally charged inappropriate decisions which will cause life-time repercussions. You might realise later that your action was ill-considered, against logic, against common sense but by then it might be too late. You will fail your life-test, thus wasting all the preparation you had done for so many lives. And you will be required to repeat the same thing, re-take the same test again a few lives later. If you have Rahu/ Ketu in power but the rest of the horoscope is unable to support their power or if you consciously choose the wrong direction in a fit of temporary passion, the effects are often dismal and can carry over life-times. Also there can be psychological or mental imbalances or addictions or immoral and perverse behaviour triggered by this.

Anything to do with Rahu/ Ketu forces you to find the strength within your own self. Go through the experience, endure and grow. It is like being initiated into the highest mystery. You are in confusion for some time, your past experiences are meaningless now, the new knowledge before you requires some time before it can be assimilated. For this small period you are vulnerable. Persevere. It is like an eclipse on the soul. During this eclipse period you have to be very careful. As soon as the eclipse opens up you are New.

The Rahu mahadasha and the Ketu mahadasha can be quite happening. Keep track of Rahu/ Ketu’s transits and the patterns that they will make with the slowest ones Saturn and Jupiter. These periods will be fairly long as Rahu/Ketu transit a sign in 1.5yrs, Jupiter in 1yr and Saturn in 2.5yrs. The faster planets will also naturally interact with them in transit, but their results will be for lesser lengths of time, ie a few month or lesser. However the intensity of the effect can vary as slower planets give rather subdued results spread over a longer time. And faster planets give intense results concentrated over a short period of time.

The Almost Kaal Sarpa

I have written about Kaal Sarpa in my post here. Kaal Sarpa Yoga is when the 7 graha, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are hemmed in between Rahuand Ketu (the planets will be moving such that they will be exiting from the Rahu side of the axis, eg the planetary configuration on 15th Aug 2004).

Kaal Amrita Yoga is the other variant when the 7 graha, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are hemmed between Ketu and Rahu. (the planets will be moving in a direction so that they will get out of the hemming from the Ketu side. eg check the configuration on 25th Apr 2020) This is just a technical distinction as I have not seen much of a difference in both these types of kaal-sarpa yog.

A complete kaal sarpa yog, which gives the most intense results, is when there are no graha in the houses containing Rahu/ Ketu and the ascendant sign is also hemmed in between them. ie Rahu and Ketu will be alone in the houses/ rashi that they occupy. ie No other planet will be modulating their energies by closely conjucting with them. The rest of the planets, including the ascendant will be on one side of this axis. This gives them full scope to give their full results.

If there are any planets in close conjunction with Rahu/ Ketu then they will modulate the nature of these astral planets and the intensity of the kaal sarpa combination is reduced.

The Almost Kaal Sarpa

However there is still something called partial Kaal Sarpa. In this there will be one graha or the ascendant sign itself outside the Rahu/ Ketu hemming.

The current times are more conducive to the formation of Kaal Sarpa as the slowest moving planets, Jupiter and Saturn are close together and on the same side of the Rahu/ Ketu axis. Rahu/ Ketu axis is exactly 180 degrees apart. Thus when, during the year, the rest of the faster moving planets join up on this same side of this axis, expect a pure/ partial Kaal Sarpa in the charts of children born then.

A partial Kaal Sarpa confers a lot of advantages, but your astrologer can make you do remedies for this too! So just understand more about how this works before blindly going and spending money on the remedies. Doing remedies, pujas etc is never wasted. Any action performed with intention will give its results. But it is better to know why you are doing this remedy rather than doing it blindly.

In a partial Kaal Sarpa combination, all the planets except a single one is hemmed in between the Rahu/ Ketu axis. All except one are on one side of the axis. This one outside graha has an extra effect on you. If the other planets are placed in good houses/ signs and support the horoscope as a whole, you can even be a world leader. Your personal sufferings in the process are reduced or are manageable. But if these others are weakly placed, you will be the oppressor yourself using the same energies to adversely affect other people. Also you suffer more.

In such a horoscope pay special attention to the position of Rahu. He is the direction of ambition and indicates the direction in which your desires lie. Revise the keywords of the chart here. The owner of Rahu’s sign, his conjunct planets and planets which aspect him will be caught up in his drive for ambitions too. Find your target groups here. Eg. If Rahu in the 4th, you will deeply desire emotional comforts and security. Thus you can be the agent who gives emotional security to others or you can be a parasite on others using their energies to support your need for emotional comfort. You will decide on being a ‘giver’ or a ‘taker’ depending on the placement of other planets and your own Conscious decision.

If your horoscope has such a ‘partial’ Kaal sarpa combination check out your potential depending on the one planet which is outside the Rahu/ Ketu hemming. These descriptions below are the best possible positive use of your potential.

Ascendant sign alone outside the axis – here the Kaal sarpa is considered to be completely nullified. This is because the personality itself as defined by the first house is outside the axis. I have seen that these individuals perform better because of the combined synergistic effect of the other 7 planets from the other side of the axis. The Ascendant house outside the axis somehow acts as a focus point for the planets. This is a good placement for leadership and prominent roles in the society.

Sun alone outside the axis – gives a strong foundation of intelligence, leadership and creativity. You can channel the sources of divine information and are capable of passing it on to your target audience. You will be creative and confident about presenting yourself too. The position of Rahu, his sign/house and house owner will indicate your target. You can be a morally grounded celebrity, political or religious. Such a Sun can increase your ability to take decisions which will help your target group. You can lead with ambition.

Moon alone outside the axis and acting as a focal point for the other grahas, will allow you to link up on an emotional and compassionate way to your targets. This will make you want more experiences on the emotional level. You desire to give protection and stability to your target group. You will have the patience to listen and help. If you have the supporting planets, you can be a care-giver to the emotionally tortured, a psychologist, a counsellor, maybe an astrologer!

The Almost Kaal Sarpa

Mercury alone outside the axis gives super analytical skills and qualities of database management. You can calculate almost anything from the data provided to you. If other aspects permit you can be a mastermind for planning and and accounting, it will be your drive, your ambition. Maybe a banking sector, or in large organisations, or in the government or the military. Large scale resource management and planning will be child’s play to you. You have critical thinking skills and excel in communications you can be a famous reporter/journalist. You can use these talents to be a speaker to the masses, helping them with your sharp incisive perceptions.

Mars alone outside the axis will amplify your presence, your social status and how society perceives you. Your physical and vital bodies will be strong enough for you to lead others. People will follow you, thus you can fight for good causes and justice. You can motivate your target groups to do extraordinary work for the public good. You can be a good politician, army-man, government official or an athlete.

Jupiter alone outside the axis grants a deep understanding of the human life and philosophy. You can be a religious leader or a renown humanist, a philosopher. You know why people are in trouble and you know how to pull them out of their miseries. And you care enough to use your energies for them. You can use your wisdom and knowledge to understand and heal depending on the position of Rahu and the other planets.

Venus alone outside the axis gives allows you a sense of beauty and balance. Depending on your target ambition you can be a really good lawyer, musician, singer, or any of the creative arts. You also are a good homemaker, a good partner and if planets permit it a teacher of the esoteric too. Venus is a very deceptive planet, he is the tantrik, gives you all the pleasures of life till you are saturated and if you can understand that you have had enough he can offer you the privilege of the Ultimate relation with your own Self, Moksh!

Saturn alone outside the axis This will ensure endurance and the capacity to work, however you will be quite careful about your physical body and the societal norms. You will be aware of oppressions and restrictions on your own self and on the society and will work towards freeing yourself and others. You can be a good social worker, legal activist, working with non-governmental organizations etc. Revolutions are not your way, you will work patiently and steadily allowing stability and logn-term gains for everyone.

So Kaal Sarpa or even partial Kaal Sarpa can be a very good thing, very empowering if you know what the energies are saying to you. The horoscope charts out the energies you chose for yourself at the time of birth. It is up to you to use these energies in the best possible manner. While using these energies always remember your inner Conscience/Antaratma is always judging you. Always do things which being you satisfaction, that deep inner satisfaction when you know that by your actions your own Karma is being balanced beautifully!

The Almost Kaal Sarpa

Obsessively Ambitious Kaal Sarpa

Kaal Sarpa Yoga is when the 7 graha, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are hemmed in between Rahu and Ketu, this combination provides avenues for social mobility and ambitions. Kaal Amrita Yoga is the other variant when the 7 graha, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are hemmed between Ketu and Rahu, this position generates apathy towards desires. A text-book, pure kaal sarpa yog is when there are no graha in the houses containing Rahu/Ketu and the ascendant sign is also hemmed in between them.

The Kaal sarpa is another bogey, like ‘Saturn‘ where the astrologer will make you feel guilty or scared and get you to perform expensive remedies/pujas etc. But remember Jyotish is an empowering tool. Let us first try to understand how this combination is actually not a problem but an opportunity. How can you divert this energy to something constructive for yourself and the society.

If you have this yog in your chart, you should understand that your personal lifestyle will be ignored for some greater purpose. You are seen by others to be obsessive, desire-driven, impatient, sometimes indifferent, strangely focussed yet unfocussed. Your energies are unique and sub-consciously affect those who are in contact with you. You sacrifice yourself for the greater good, you use all your resources to satisfy your one over-riding ambition. You are so focussed on one single aspect of your life that you are detached from the rest. This focus can be on any sort of physical, religious cult, spiritual, public, private or social or any thing. The goal of the kaal sarpa is to be seen from the position of Rahu, the sign/house, the planets conjoint/aspecting and also the owner of this sign.

Obsessively Ambitious Kaal Sarpa

Rahu takes over the entire resources of the personality to advance to his one goal. So this results is strain on the emotional, spiritual and physical body as well. To gain one, you will psychically sacrifice everything else. Often you are in pain, which has no clear reason. A doctor might wave it away as being ‘psychological issue, take a vacation!’, this non-unerstanding will hurt you even more. But your pain is real, and the doctor is incapable of doing anything about it. There may be issues with the spine as the chakras will have issues in un-balanced prana movement. This will be seen as undiagnosable nerve issues. Hormonal imbalances can occur. Especially if you are a woman you will have body-weight problems. There may be sexual problems too, if the Rahu/Ketu is aspected by Mars, or in Mar’s house/sign. You can be a perpetrator or a victim of unnatural (remember no boundaries!) sexual/physical/etc activities.

You are strangely open to others energies, Rahu does not respect boundaries. So you yourself should consciously take care of yourself. You will need to do regular shielding of the aura, i.e. creating a pearly silver/gold protection layer on your aura and linking it the Universal Source. This will protect against astral/aura attacks. You will also have to start a regular spiritual practice not just contemplative meditation, you will have to do proper Dhyan. This will ensure that you are comfortable with yourself and carry out the chart’s indications without destroying yourself in the process.

The transits of Rahu/Ketu will enhance these traits periodically. Be very aware during every Rahu/Ketu transit and keep your mind-set and energies ready for a new identity challenge every 1.5years. Learn to consciously manipulate energy through tiny regular baby steps. And remember this is Rahu at work, so a pure Kaal Sarpa will give this as a final result, you will over-reach and fall at the moment of achievement. But if the horoscope has beneficial placements this trend can be diverted to a more intelligent outcome. Strong planets, especially the Moon and Mercury will protect from the destructive energies of this combination by stabilizing the mind/emotions and the thinking processes. Benefics placed in good signs and houses will help. Kaal sarpa is very rarely a psychotic individual.

Obsessively Ambitious Kaal Sarpa

The drive is to utterly experience something, to utterly possess something, to utterly devour something! Rahu will sacrifice everything else to attain his goal. He harnesses the energies of all the 7 planets who are between himself and Ketu. If the aspirations are socially acceptable you will reach the heights of glory, but if this goal is criminal you will sink to the depths of notoriety. These obsessions last a life-time! Rahu does not respect boundaries, so you will want to break through everything, your own self, others personal lives, rules, law, anything.

If you have Kaal sarpa in your chart, either mild or full blown, remember that you are hyper-sensitive to psychic energy. When the society lashes at you for being strange you can and will use these psychic means to get back. This will cause you problems of energy-drain and will result in even more socially erratic behaviour. But if you are aware and can chanelise your this talent you can be a super-healer and renown gifted energy worker. A safe and socially useful way of using your Kaal sarpa.

A parent who sacrifices every aspect of his life for his children and lives his life through them. A husband utterly devoted to his wife, who literally dies rather than being apart from her. Or a teacher who teaches in a small school, but ignites his student’s minds and lives his aspirations through their successes. Or if aspects permit it, the Kaal sarpa yog can create a human who sacrifices his very existence for the sake of the entire humanity.

This tendency of self-sacrifice was a part of ancient culture where humans were actually sacrificed for the greater good of the tribe. Even in today’s world people in high public positions or soldiers also sacrifice their families, time, health, privacy, safety, security for the sake of the nation, their people. This is also a Kaal sarpa energy. If you are in such a profession then you have chosen a good outlet for yourself. But everyone cannot do this, so you will need to examine your deepest motivations and come to terms with yourself to live a better adjusted life in society. Do not ignore your own self! Remember Rahu’s fall at the end? You will regret it in the end of your life when you cannot do anything about it. ‘I should have got that degree.’, ‘I should have saved for my retirement’, ‘I should have made more friends’, ‘I should have got medical check-ups on time’. This is how the Kaal Sarpa will defeat you in the end. Toxic regrets!

The key to Kaal sarpa is awareness. If you are aware of yourself and consciously choose to sacrifice your life, taking adequate precautions, you will be happy. You will then gain vitality, charisma, a useful role in the society, validation and most importantly satisfaction. The reality is, that at every moment, all of us are being sacrificed and because of this we all are constantly evolving. Only when we sacrifice our personal Ego, will we gain the Divine. The Kaal sarpa energies are the maximum possible inclination towards this.

So for those channelising Kaal Sarpa in your this life, just focus on your mind, will and intention for yourself.

Obsessively Ambitious Kaal Sarpa
