The Almost Kaal Sarpa

I have written about Kaal Sarpa in my post here. Kaal Sarpa Yoga is when the 7 graha, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are hemmed in between Rahu and Ketu. Kaal Amrita Yoga is the other variant when the 7 graha, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are hemmed between Ketu and Rahu. A complete kaal sarpa yog is when there are no graha in the houses containing Rahu/Ketu and the ascendant sign is also hemmed in between them. However there is still something called partial Kaal Sarpa, here there will be one graha or the ascendant itself outside the Rahu/Ketu hemming.

The Almost Kaal Sarpa

The current times are more conducive to the formation of Kaal Sarpa as the slowest moving planets, Jupiter and Saturn are close together and on the same side of the Rahu/Ketu axis. Rahu/Ketu axis is exactly 180 degrees apart. Thus when, during the year, the rest of the faster moving planets join up on this same side of this axis, expect a pure/partial Kaal Sarpa in the charts of children born then.

A partial Kaal Sarpa confers a lot of advantages, but your astrologer can make you do remedies for this too! So just understand more about how this works before blindly going and spending money on the remedies. Doing remedies, pujas etc is never wasted. Any action performed with intention will give its results. But it is better to know why you are doing this remedy rather than just doing it blindly.

In a partial Kaal Sarpa combination, all the planets except a single one is hemmed in between the Rahu/Ketu axis. All except one are on one side of the axis. This one outside graha has an extra effect on you. If the other planets are placed in good houses/signs and support the horoscope as a whole, you can even be a world leader. But if these others are weakly placed, you will be the oppressor yourself using the same energies to adversely affect other people.

In such a horoscope pay special attention to the position of Rahu. He is the ambition and indicates in which direction your desires lie. Revise the keywords of the chart here. The owner of Rahu’s sign, his conjunct planets and planets which aspect him will be caught up in his drive for ambitions too! Find your target groups here. Eg. If Rahu in the 4th, you will deeply desire emotional comforts and security. Thus you can be the agent who gives emotional security to others or you can be a parasite on others using their energies to support your need for emotional comfort. You will decide on being a ‘giver’ or a ‘taker’ depending on the placement of other planets and your own Conscious decision!

If your horoscope has such a ‘partial’ Kaal sarpa combination check out your potential depending on the one planet which is outside the Rahu/Ketu hemming on the other side of their axis. These descriptions below are the best possible positive use of your potential.

Ascendant alone outside the axis – here the Kaal sarpa is considered to be completely nullified. This is because the personality itself as defined by the first house is outside the axis. I have seen that these individuals perform better because of the combined synergistic effect of the other 7 planets from the other side of the axis. The Ascendant house outside the axis somehow acts as a focus point for the planets. This is a good placement for leadership and prominent roles in the society.

Sun alone outside the axis – gives a strong foundation of intelligence, leadership and creativity. You can channel the sources of divine information and are capable of passing it on to your target audience. You will be creative and confident about presenting yourself too. The position of Rahu, his sign/house and house owner will indicate your target. You can be a morally grounded celebrity, political or religious. Such a Sun can increase your ability to take decisions which will help your target group. You can lead with ambition.

Moon alone outside the axis and acting as a focal point for the other grahas, will allow you to link up on an emotional and compassionate way to your targets. This will make you want more experiences on the emotional level. You desire to give protection and stability to your target group. You will have the patience to listen and help. If you have the supporting planets, you can be a care-giver to the emotionally tortured, a psychologist, a counsellor, maybe an astrologer!

The Almost Kaal Sarpa

Mercury alone outside the axis gives super analytical skills and qualities of database management. You can calculate almost anything from the data provided to you. If other aspects permit you can be a mastermind for planning and and accounting, it will be your drive, your ambition. Maybe a banking sector, or in large organisations, or in the government or the military. Large scale resource management and planning will be child’s play to you. You have critical thinking skills and excel in communications you can be a famous reporter/journalist. You can use these talents to be a speaker to the masses, helping them with your sharp incisive perceptions.

Mars alone outside the axis will amplify your presence, your social status and how society perceives you. Your physical and vital bodies will be strong enough for you to lead others. People will follow you, thus you can fight for good causes and justice. You can motivate your target groups to do extraordinary work for the public good. You can be a good politician, army-man, government official or an athlete.

Jupiter alone outside the axis grants a deep understanding of the human life and philosophy. You can be a religious leader or a renown humanist, a philosopher. You know why people are in trouble and you know how to pull them out of their miseries. And you care enough to use your energies for them. You can use your wisdom and knowledge to understand and heal depending on the position of Rahu and the other planets.

Venus alone outside the axis gives allows you a sense of beauty and balance. Depending on your target ambition you can be a really good lawyer, musician, singer, or any of the creative arts. You also are a good homemaker, a good partner and if planets permit it a teacher of the esoteric too. Venus is a very deceptive planet, he is the tantrik, gives you all the pleasures of life till you are saturated and if you can understand that you have had enough he can offer you the privilege of the Ultimate relation with your own Self, Moksh!

Saturn alone outside the axis This will ensure endurance and the capacity to work, however you will be quite careful about your physical body and the societal norms. You will be aware of oppressions and restrictions on your own self and on the society and will work towards freeing yourself and others. You can be a good social worker, legal activist, working with non-governmental organizations etc. Revolutions are not your way, you will work patiently and steadily allowing stability and logn-term gains for everyone.

So Kaal Sarpa or even partial Kaal Sarpa can be a very good thing, very empowering if you know what the energies are saying to you. The horoscope charts out the energies you chose for yourself at the time of birth. It is up to you to use these energies in the best possible manner. While using these energies always remember your inner Conscience/Antaratma is always judging you. Always do things which being you satisfaction, that deep inner satisfaction when you know that by your actions your own Karma is being balanced beautifully!

Abortions and implications, astrologically

Abortions are quite routine in today’s society, with even over-the-counter pills available for intentionally aborting the baby. Women abort for several reasons, no time for child, conceived by mistake, career concerns, or family insistent for a male child only, several reasons including medical reasons. All this drama and eventual tragedy of the actual abortion directly connects with the horoscope.

Abortions and implications, astrologically

Lets first check out the factors which influence conception and the eventual birth of a child

  1. Mainly the 5th house, the owner planet, the occupant planets, and the aspects
  2. Sign Leo and its occupant planets, position of the Sun to some extent
  3. 9th house for any ‘family curses’ or ancestor related problems
  4. 8th house for the status of the reproductive system of the parent.

If there are malefic influences in these houses then there are chances of problems related to conception, pregnancy, delivery, health of the mother or child. There would be then the medical complications which lead to medical termination of pregnancy etc. This is a slightly different scene as already there are malefics affecting reproduction and there is a built-in bias for complications. Here the remedies need to be taken up before attempting to conceive.

In this post I am discussing the wilful and intentional abortion where a healthy mother aborts a healthy fetus.

So when the woman conceives a normal child she is expected to birth it and nurture it, she is a mother. She has utilised the forces of creation given to her. The man is also now a father and his duty is to support the mother and his child as he is able. This is Rule of the Conscience/Dharma. There is some controversy on when should the baby be considered as a ‘human’, but legal matters are irrelevant. You become a father or a mother at the instant of conception. The newly conceived one-celled baby is a conscious living separate person. If you see the aura of a pregnant woman, frankly I wish everyone learns to see auras it brings in a whole new perspective. Well, in the aura of a pregnant woman you can clearly see 2 different energies, right from the start. The soul who is the baby starts moving within the mother’s energy bodies right from the instant of conception. The baby knows and is aware of his gestation and is completely aware during its eventual birth. It is a very difficult and traumatic process, building your body in the the womb and getting born. But the baby has chosen his path and is willing to endure and is waiting for his entry into the world/Martyalok, again.

In fact, in Sanatan Dharm (Hinduism), after getting married, there is a whole Sanskar (‘conception ritual’), Garbha-dharan sanskar where the new husband/wife are fortified with mantras and pujas so that they can conceive a healthy happy baby and their bodies are also prepared for it on an energy level. Again, if you can sense energies, you can see the spirit body of the new baby-to-come waiting around the parents-to-be even before they conceive. Now, I have seen this happen too, the parents-to-be make the baby-to-be wait for so long, apparently they want to enjoy each other’s company or career concerns or ‘family planning’ in a big way, that the soul eventually gets tired and moves away. In this case the couple will find it difficult to have a child in the future unless there are benefic planets covering them. One bit of advise here, if you have fiery rashis, fiery planets aspecting the 5th house, or Rahu/ Ketu/ Saturn involved here do not wait, try to conceive as early as possible after marriage.

Abortions and implications, astrologically

So back to intentional abortion, the baby-soul is conscious and aware of what is happening to his mother and his fetus-body. This baby-soul’s energy is now residing inside the aura of the mother, and is aware of her everything, literally everything. You can hide your emotions from your face, but nothing can be hidden from the aura. Even if you lie the color of the aura changes. So nothing about the mother is hidden from the baby-soul. This is the reason we ask expecting mothers to listen to uplifting music, meditate, think happy thoughts etc. During this period of pregnancy 2 more Sanskar rituals, Pumsvan and Seemantonayan, are done to fortify the energy body of the baby-soul and the mother. See, out of the 16 Sanskars for a Hindu in his/her lifetime, 3 are connected with pregnancy. It is because this a highly vulnerable period for both and also both are highly receptive to energy. So we surround them with positive energies.

Now if the healthy mother decides to abort the healthy fetus for whatever reason, the trauma to both is immense.

First about the baby-soul. The baby-soul suffers the trauma of having the body removed from the mother and its death. This is breach of trust and against the Rule of the Conscience/Dharma. This spirit-body of the baby-soul is his higher-self, as he has not yet bound himself by the horoscope of birth, so is capable of much more. He is not yet limited by being tied in a human body. And technically its body has died. It has become a pretatma/ancestral spirit belonging to the family. So it releases its trauma, betrayal, sorrow and pain as a curse, it curses with intention, it curses the mother, father and the family. And in such an emotionally charged environment the curse takes root. This is seen in the horoscopes of later generations as a ‘dosh’ which denies children, denies male children, causes miscarriage, causes early deaths in children born alive, handicapped children, retarded children etc, eg ‘pitru dosh’, kaal-sarpa dosh’ and the like. This can cause the end of this family line. If  children denied it is end of the family.

Now for the mother. She has breached trust, broken the Rule of the Conscience/Dharma and insulted the creative aspect of her divine nature. She suffers enormous backlash which manifests as denial of children, or children related problems in the present life or in the future lives. The father and other family members responsible for the abortion are also not spared in this. Nor is the doctor or other medical personnel who were involved in this act.

Abortions and implications, astrologically

The snake is the representative of the ancestral spirits and karma both. So when your astrologer tells you that your misfortunes are because your ancestors killed a snake, it can be an actual snake or a child/fetus. And if as an astrologer, if you come across a client/family who has the following problems,

  1. repeated dreams of snakes
  2. a history of failure in child bearing etc in the family
  3. no male progeny, or less than average number of boys, throughout the family
  4. 9th house affected by Rahu/Ketu in several members of the family
  5. A recurring planetary combination like kaal sarpa, sarpa dosh, pitru dosh etc in the family members

There is only one solution, the oldest male in the family has to go to Brahmakapal, Badrinath, Uttarakhand, India, and offer funeral rituals / Tarpan for all the dead ancestors.

So before taking such a drastic decision of intentional abortion, do give a thought about what the consequences can be. Your higher inner self, conscience, is always judging your action and the Rule of Conscience/Dharma prevails.
