How to heal yourself with intention and visualisation

There was a question on “energy healing” and how it works.

The basic concept is this, you are pure energy, the Advaita, the Eternal Non-dual. You take on this 5-layered body to enjoy this game of creation, Lila. This body is also pure energy. Depending on the level of your perception you can observe your body layers.  If you use your physical sense organs, you can see the physical body/ Sthool sharir. If you have trained yourself to sense auras you are seeing some parts of your Sookshma sharir. If you are an advanced spiritual aspirant you will see your causal body/karan sharir. And finally when you attain Realisation/Moksh you will observe the Soul, your real Self too.

Now back to the body. The various prarabdha karma which you have chosen to enjoy/endure in this life put their imprints on this body. (These karma do not affect the Soul. Nothing can touch your Soul.) When these ‘imprints’ get stuck on your body, (this happens at the moment of your birth), you suffer through various ailments, troubles etc or enjoy the various joys etc. These imprints are triggered at various time/space as per the script of your birth horoscope and transit/Dasha.

Both pain and pleasure are karmic imprints on the body, they are not a part of your body and neither are they a part of your Soul. Some karma adhere strongly and some weakly, that’s about it. Always remember that these karma are adhering to your bodies, they are not a part of ‘you’.

  • Your body has 5-layers and these layer are arranged into the 3 bodies. If you have trained your sub-conscious or are doing your spiritual practice, you can perceive these karmic imprints on your sookshma-sharir in color as red, grey, black stains. Or as burn marks, cuts, welts, injuries etc. Or as hooks, ropes, weird tattoos, cords bound around your subtle body etc. or bas broken limbs and torn body parts. Or as twists in the nadis or irregular pran flow, pran moving in a jerky manner and if the pran flow has stopped the nadi will seem gray/black etc.  There will be something on this body which will stand out. This imprint will feel distasteful, painful, burning, slimy, irritating, uncomfortable etc.

Another typical thing, as you get more used to seeing your astral self, or do more Dhyan you will see into more layers of yourself. The outermost physical body is solid, everyone can see it. Some of you might have trained yourself to see your aura which is a reflection of your sookshma-sharir/subtle body, this will have some color depending on your emotional, physical and mental state at that moment. As you go deeper you will also sense your causal body/karan sharir. Whenever I see my this inner most body it is always a pure white layer. So if you see such layers of colors, do not get confused, you are just seeing yourself more deeply.

Sounds heard during mediation

Now to healing your bodies.

Most of you will be modifying the energies of your subtle body, sookshma sharir when you do ‘healing’ on yourself. (Rarely will someone need to go deep into the causal body to heal at such inner depths.) There are basically two ways in which you can “heal” these karmic imprints using your intention.

The first one is to literally remove the hooks etc. If you can ‘see’ them, you can just grab and pluck them out. These are extra things inserted into your body which are damaging to you, so just pull them out. eg if you see cords into tied on your body just remove them, pluck them out. This visualisation may seem a bit difficult if you are not used to working in the psychic realms but is quite easy. Simply pull out the foreign looking object which is on your subtle body and it will come off.

The second way is to just ‘peel off’ the unnatural energies adhering to your subtle body, just as you would peel off a sticker from a sticker book. These hooks, wounds, burns, cords etc are not a part of you, so you can easily ‘peel’ them off. Use either of these two visualisations as you feel comfortable with.

Now if the ‘injury’ is very deep or the imprint is stuck on very intensely then it will appear again in your astral body. Some karmic impressions are carried on for several lives so are stuck on rather firmly. So you may have to repeat this exercise several times to finally get rid of them. Best would be to give yourself a healing session every day. It takes only 5 mins of your time if you do it regularly. Once your mind gets used to this process, and can hold on the visualisations etc (say after about 21days or so) you can do the healing part anywhere and at any time of the day.

If you have Ketu in a prominent position in your birth chart then you must take care of your astral body. If he is with your ascendant lord or the birth Moon or influencing several planets then your sookshma-sharir is more your ‘real body’ than your physical body. The physical ailments and discomforts which you will undergo will have their real roots in the astral body. So healing the inner bodies should be an essential part of your daily routine.

How to heal yourself with intention and visualisation

Energy work is all about intention and visualisation. For this you need to have your mind under control and able to strongly visualise. This is how you would go step-wise about the process.

First prepare your room. You can cleanse it using by waving your favourite incense or peacock feathers or by spraying water of the Ganga or do a thorough cleansing using sea salt packets or lemons if you so wish. (Do refer to these earlier posts, use the index page to locate them). Keep the lights dim. Sit on your asan or in any pose where you feel comfortable. Take a few breaths, close your eyes, relax. This helps train your mind. (You are teaching your mind that now you are going to do healing on yourself. So a few sessions later your mind will start getting into the healing mode itself as soon as you do this preliminary clean-up and all.)

Then prepare yourself. You can think of your favourite deity or source of faith or the Universal source of energy. Intend that you are going to heal yourself, request blessings and power from these higher self. If you know Reiki you can ‘draw’ the Reiki symbols and make a cocoon around yourself. If you do not know Reiki then you can make a chi-ball to create an energy cocoon around yourself. (You are fortifying yourself with extra energy consciously.)

And heal yourself.

  • With your eyes closed, try to ‘see’ yourself. All your body parts, do you ‘feel’ anything odd about any of them? Are they all feeling bright and active? Observe critically.
  • If you know your horoscope, (Vedic astrology), ‘look’ carefully at the body parts linked to the ascendant sign, the birth moon sign and the sign occupied by Ketu in the chart, there is a greater possibility that something is going wrong here.
  • If you see anything, hooks, burns, cords etc, you have to now ‘remove’ them. You can either ‘peel’ them off or ‘pull’ them out as you feel convenient.
  • Visualise the removed hooks, stickers etc burning in a very deep bright fire and floating away from you.
  • Then visualise a ‘bandage’ of energy, a soothing pearly shimmery layer of energy setting over the affected parts of the astral body. Hold this visualisation for a minute or so.
  • Then finally visualise a soothing healing shimmery pearly cocoon around you. Visualise that your source of faith is energising this cocoon.
  • Take a few deep breaths and then it is done.

So this is how you do a simple healing on yourself. (I have written several posts on healing and energy. Do use the Index page or the search bar to locate them if you wish to read.)

How to heal yourself with intention and visualisation

Shakata yog, Moon Jupiter 6/8

I have mentioned Shakata yog in some of my earlier posts and there was a question on it, so writing a full fledged post. The Shakata yog is caused when the Moon and the Jupiter is at a the 6/8 axis. (Some astrologers consider the 2/12 axis to be problematic, but it is not much of a problem unless both are adversely afflicted by even more malefics).

The Moon travels around the zodiac in 28days so it will be in the 6/8 axis from Jupiter for about 5days in this. So about 18% people will have this, which is illogical. So the effects of Shakata yog are greatly reduced and rendered ineffectual if,

  • Either Jupiter or Moon or both are exalted or in his mooltrikon or own sign. ie if Jupiter is in Cancer, Sagittarius or Pisces or Moon is in Taurus or Cancer.
  • If either is placed in the  kendra houses, 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th.

This is then not a very common combination. There will be very limited number of people who will show the complete effect of this combination.

So let’s analyse this. The vitality of the person/ his environment will be affected. Sometimes he will face very adverse situations which will drain his mind, emotions and health. And after this hopeless despair, he will rise and gain. But he falls followed by the subsequent rise. This cycle continues for a life time.

Shakata yog, Moon Jupiter 6/8

Jupiter and Moon are two very important forces in the horoscope.

  • Moon is the agent of the mind, the sum of all your selves through time/space, the illusion of creation, emotions, mental processes, comforts, security, nurture, nourishment, your needs. The Moon controls your body’s power and also your minds strength. He is the agent in charge of the sookshma sharir or the subtle/ astral body. He is located at the Ajnya chakra ie your third eye.
  • Jupiter is the deep wisdom, hope, auspicious benefits from your past lives, blessings from the divine, your spiritual practices, the grace of the Guru, benevolence, expansion, philosophy and understanding, conducive environment for development of the higher faculties, refinement, support of your peers/patrons. He represents that part of your past lives positive karma which you have chosen to activate in this life as ‘luck’. He is located at the Swadhisthan chakra.

Moon and Jupiter together can be understood as the – karmic seeds of past lives and the possible actions of the current life coupled with the ‘luck’ you have chosen for yourself in this life. If these things work favourably with each other you will have a reasonably easy life on the material, emotional, mental, subtle etc levels.

The 6/8 axis is the most traumatic axis possible (post here). The planets caught in this axis are adversarial to each other and give uncomfortable results. Whatever is represented by them individually will give disturbing results when taken together.

  • The 6th is the karma you have chosen to resolve in this life, a burden consciously chosen at the moment of birth. Awareness of the burden does not make it less easier to bear. 6th is the house of karmic service and sufferings, karmic payback so as to say.
  • The 8th is fundamental changes in the self-identity/environment etc caused by sudden shocking traumatic events. If you use these opportunities to grow you can very fast but these events are very trying that it is difficult.

So Shakata yog can be summarised like this. The quality of the karmic seeds of past lives is a burden. The possible options for actions available to you in the current life are all traumatic. ‘Luck’ is often adverse and fails you just as you need it. This combination of Jupiter-Moon will bring blockages in progress on all levels. Check the houses and signs occupied by them to know which part of your life will be affected the most. And you have chosen this for yourself in this life. The thinking process and creative ability is dimmed as luck is often not in favour. The mind is churning away thinking and evaluating possibilities, you feel the strain. But Moon and Jupiter are both high level benefics. So whatever they do, ultimately they do not harm. The trauma that they will inflict will also have a positive effect. You might not think this to be positive at the time, but when you look back, every adversity has been like a springboard pushing you onwards.

It is the Moon, so rhythm is built-in. With each fall, there is innate potential to rise. The more deeply you fall, the higher you rise. There is a brief moment of utter despair but then you know it is over and a new cycle has begun. This combination invariably brings in spirituality. When the material life kicks you in the ass a few times, you realise that you need to find strength within. So as you rise you try to find your own self inside you, you become more self-sufficient and self reliant.

Your brothers, your uncles/aunts, your own parents, husband/wife, children all give you intense shocks from time to time which can sever your emotional or even physical connection from them. There may be episodes in life when you are completely alone, isolated from your family or the people whom you love (they may not even think about you). Just when you are at your lowest point and desperatly need help, there will be no one. There is intense mental anguish as your emotional supports are jerked away from under your feet. If you try to anchor yourself to another person, in the next cycle he will kick you away. The one whom you love the most will give you the deepest sorrow. You are forced by the rejections around you to seek new directions for your personal evolution. Your sorrow will eventually make you stop relying on others and you will try to develop your own abilities and self reliance.

You are forced to protect your own emotions and your own mind, as the jolts are very heavy. So you think very seriously, from different perspectives and often take radical steps for self-preservation. This might be thought of as head-strong, aggressive, over-reaction, negative etc behaviour by others. This behaviour will ultimately push people away, you might not be very popular in society; no social butterfly you!

Shakata yog, Moon Jupiter 6/8

Thankfully this yog gives material assets, you will be well off, considered an eminent personality in some field, you are not an ordinary person. If the house/ sign of the Moon and Jupiter are powerful in themselves, the person will do immense good for the society and wield real power over others. But there will be periodic humiliations, deprivations, obstacles and persistent personal loneliness. These trials purify the spirit and it ultimately is for a noble cause. And this combination often gives abilities of the spiritual, psychic, occult kind. The ability to control the subtler forces around you. It is latent to begin with, it takes a few cycles to become aware of them. (Shivaji Maharaj, perhaps the greatest Hindu ruler had this combination, we all learn about his life in school. A recent example is Yogi Aurobindo)

There is a possibility of disease to the eyes. The astral body can get affected, crack and aura can leak. (There is one very strange thing, if the person intensely wants his desired or loved one to come near him again, the aura becomes thinner in places and can crack/leak from there). The cyclic intense emotional drama can cause other repercussions on the physical levels depending on the individual horoscope. The person might lose control on his eating habits/ body weight. The 6th house is also of disease, debts, servitude and suffering. So all these things can be triggered from time to time. 8th also represents catastrophic changes including diseases, surgeries etc. So keep the physical health in mind and get a regular yearly check-up etc.

Most importantly do some regular spiritual practice. There is no other way of making sense of all this. The 8th is going deep within yourself, tantra, awareness, occult, the highest spiritual, coming face to face with your own secrets, getting rid of the skeletons in the closet. You have a rare opportunity here, perhaps you chose it because you were inwardly ready for a spiritual transformation. And you gain the spiritual when you sacrifice the material. And the illusions of the material are torn away rather harshly. You are the pure intellect and the impurities are being hammered out of you. Two top benefics, Moon and Jupiter will help you now. You might meet a real Sat-guru to guide you. There will be cyclic falls and rises in your spiritual practice too.  Sometimes you might feel that it is all a waste, but do not stop doing it. It is the only thing which will help direct the energies of this Shakata yog in the best possible manner.

Shakata शकट means a car or a carriage. Yog means union.

The mind is forced to leave all external things that give it support. Till it finds the support it needs within itself. It is a deeply painful process but ultimately worth it. This is the true result of the Shakata yog.

(There is someone very close to me who has this combination. It gives results in its full form as the two Jupiter and Moon occupy the 6th and the 11th house counted from the ascendant. Obviously they in the 6/8 axis among themselves.)

Create and animate your astral shadow

This post is how to create and animate your astral shadow. Astral shadows have several uses but these two are quite common,

  1. If you wish to use the astral pathways to travel.
  2. If you wish to create an astral guard for yourself while you are busy doing something.

Creating an astral shadow self is a two step process.

  1. First is to create an exact copy of your astral self. Your astral self is composed of the subtle-body and the causal body (You leave behind the gross anna-mai-kosh). For creating an astral copy of yourself you need to know how you look on the astral planes. Every tiny detail has to be replicated. You focus and create this copy of your subtle body.
  2. The second step is animating this astral self. You pull out the consciousness from your current body and put it into the astral shadow body you have created. Thus it gets animated and you have consciously left your physical gross body anna-mai-kosh. Your physical body is not dead, the soul is connected to it by a ‘silvery cord’. It is actually more golden-silvery-shimmery. Or you can animate it for a specific task which can be ‘programmed’ into it, here you don’t transfer your entire consciousness.

All this requires a significant amount of energy. To create the astral self and then animate it. So think twice about why you are doing this. Then there are the dangers of the astral, so you should never never attempt these things alone. Always have your real-live teacher guiding you.

So this post is, in a way, just for information.

Some of us travel astrally at night. Here we are doing it under the control of the sub-conscious mind. This impacts on the physical body after you wake up, like typical pressures on the head, intense body pain, nausea etc. Creating and using an astral shadow self is different as you are doing it under the control of the conscious mind. But the physical symptoms will occur, be prepared for this.

The easiest way is to use the Chhaya-sadhana method. I have written about how to focus on your shadow as a spiritual practice in my earlier post here. Do read it. I had mentioned that tantriks use this method to create a shadow of themselves. If you do this shadow-practice for 21 days with full focus and intention, you will sense your after-image projected into the skies becoming more than just an after-image. This now starts becoming a ‘chhaya-purush’, an astral replica of yourself. Depending on how strong your mental energies are, this chhaya-purush will become stronger and more defined. It might take upto 6 months to get the highest possible details. As you practice and focus deeply, you will be able to call your chhaya-purush at your third-eye chakra at any time you want to.

Till this point this exercise can be done by everyone. Recognising your astral self and being aware of it, is a good thing for the student of the occult.

Marak, rulers of the 2nd and 7th houses

Now you know that your personal soul/ jiv-atma or personal consciousness, resides at the third eye chakra. The ajnya chakra is very important for just this reason. If you are able to visualise your finely detailed chhaya-purush in your third-eye chakra, you can easily transfer your entire personal consciousness into it. Understand this statement. You are transferring your complete consciousness into an astral shadow. You will be seeing, working, moving out of this shadow. So the first thing you will see is your material body sitting in front of you, without animation. So even if you are not scared of anything, this is one thing which will scare and scare badly, guaranteed.

Removing the consciousness from the physical body and putting it into the shadow is a mental process. You visualise it, intend it and it happens. There is no need for any ritual or ceremony. However before attempting something like this, it is always better to cleanse the room, this will reduce interference. Switch off the lights, as darkness and silence allow greater focus. Sit on your asan, meditate or breath deeply a few times. Request energy and help from your source of faith, your favourite deity, etc. Concentrate in your third eye chakra and call in your chhaya-purush. It will float in front of you. Now visualise yourself exiting your material body and entering your shadow. You will. Also keep track of the silvery cord linking the two bodies now onwards. Go wherever you want to and do whatever it is. After you finish, follow the silvery cord back to your physical body and just visualise entering it again. After you re-enter, remember to dissolve the shadow. This is all about intention so be very clear about what you are thinking/ feeling/ intending.

You have travelled astrally consciously.

After you return, the body will feel the strain. There will be a dull ache all over, a point of pressure within your skull etc. This should resolve eventually. But to set all your bodies back properly you will have to do some self-healing. (I like using the extended form of Gayatri Mantra for this, as it fixes the bodies back within each other perfectly.)

However you don’t need to push your entire consciousness into your astral shadow. Intending that it goes and does something is rather a small task so you can just programme it and send it off. It will be less draining than transferring your consciousness completely. eg If you want to create a guard shadow as a watchman while you are busy, you will programme your chhaya-purush accordingly. You will instruct it to look for danger/ disturbance coming towards you from all the 10 directions, east, west, north, south, NE, NW, SE, SW, up and down. It will remain inert and watchful. In case of psychic attack it will respond by fighting back. Just remember that it is your projection, your energy, so as it gets battered while fighting astrally you will feel the effects too. When you pull it back into yourself, you will gain a report of what it was doing or what did it observe.

Then there is the second method which is used by western occultists. I haven’t used it, my brother has. (He experiments, he used to take more risks when he was younger.)

So the basic theory remains the same. But here you visualise an exact physical body, same as yours, right down to your nails and hair! In chhaya-sadhana you use a mantra, the energy of the sun/moon, your chakras and things. In this second method you are simply focussing on your physical appearance. Look at your actual physical body in the mirror. Try to remember how you look. Close your eyes and re-create your physical image here. Imagine every bit of your physical body strongly. As you do this intensely, maybe a 6 month time-frame, and you will be able to call on your exact physical like-ness to the tinest detail to your third eye.

Once you have achieved this, the further process remains the same. You pull out the consciousness from your third eye chakra and put it in your visualised body. It also separates just as easily and you will be able to move into the astral dimensions using it. And yes, the visual of your actual physical body sitting like a mass of flesh will unnerve you at first.

There are a lot of things around us. The astral dimensions are not peaceful glowy lights and soft music. There are very real dangers there. Things which attack the mind. If you get scared or emotional or feel disgust or anything for that matter you are in trouble. Most of us have no need to fiddle about with these things. And even for those of us who are required by karma to get involved with the invisible, proper guidance is essential. You need a live person teacher in front of you while actually attempting these antics.

So whoever it was who asked this question on astral projection start by building up your mind. Learn to keep your emotions, your feelings, your mind in your absolute control. This is not easy, but yes, if you build yourself up and practice you will be able to do create your astral shadow, animate and use it.

Marak, rulers of the 2nd and 7th houses

There is a fundamental difference between methods which use Sanskrit mantra and those which do not. If you are not using Mantra, the energy of the process becomes tamasik, ultimately damaging the practitioner. In India too, there are several dubious people/ tantriks who work with entities, spirit slaves etc. This is very dangerous.

There are several movies which show entities fighting back and harming the exorcists. This happens if you do not use the energy of Sanskrit Mantra. My brothers and I use the energy of Mantra-s, intentions, the blessings of our Devi and our Guru. Thus we do not get harmed in anything that we do. We dedicate all that we do to the Ultimate Parabrahma so that we do not attract karma.

The secret of all Tantra is clarity of intention and the power of your mind. This comes only with regular spiritual practice.

Moon in Scorpio into the subconscious

Signs of the zodiac are classified into fiery, watery and airy. Or as moveable, stable and dual-natured. They also have an associated Gun, satvik, rajasik or tamasik. These words do not literally mean water, fire etc but indicate qualities.

Scorpio is a watery sign, ruled by Mars and is a stable/fixed sign. It is Rajasic in nature. It might seem that these words are contradictory but they describe different aspects of the sign. Rashi is the apt Sanskrit word for sign, which means a ‘collection’, the sign is a collection of qualities. If your birth Moon is placed in Scorpio you are a very different personality. You are aware and in control of the powers of your astral self, specifically the pran-mai-kosh.

Moon in Scorpio into the subconscious

Raja-gun means that the you feel emotionally satisfied only when you are in motion. This motion is generally internal, invisible in Scorpio. You are constantly thinking/ feeling new strategies within. You have the entire summary of your past/ present/ future/ parallel lives to explore and use within yourself. You drill down into your own subconscious mind ever in search of resources. You can also penetrate into the minds of their family/ friends/ enemies too with this same intensity and focus. You observe and intuit highly personal information about others. This makes you dangerous and people tend to be rather uncomfortable around you.

Mars rules this sign. He demonstrates his challenging, explosive, penetrating, forceful, etc characteristics here too. Here he will use emotions, the aura, astral self, movement of pran, power of intention etc as his weapons to attack your own subconscious and also other’s. These attacks are usually invisible to the eye. He will control the ‘musculature’ and strength, not of the physical body but of the astral body. He will decide and also manipulate the structure of the naadi/energy channels and the vitality/pran flowing through. He gives you power to consciously control pran!

Now the Moon in the horoscope represents the physical mother, maternal figures, initial schooling, childhood home, nurturing and nutrition. All these aspects of life will reflect these similar Scorpio traits of change.

The natural eighth of the zodiac. So expect a lot of emotional turmoil for yourself and also in your surroundings triggered by your mere presence. You are emotionally ready for any shocking catastrophic change. You thrive on them!

Scorpio is a stable/ fixed sign. This means you have tremendous will power, you can focus on the essential. Mars uses the unfathomable resources of the entire sookshma-sharir, ie the subtle body, with single-minded focus. He is a hunter, a predator of the astral world. If anyone crosses you, you target the emotions. Thus your language is generally incisive, critical, harsh, vindictive, blaming and revengeful. You will try to subconsciously dominate always. Moon in Scorpio creates moodiness and discontent. He responds to threats, real or imagined, with an attack on the astral/ emotional self.

Water is fluid, it can take on different shapes depending on the vessel. As a Scorpio-birth Moon, you are determined in your ideas of dominating others, you command. And your will to implement these ideas is also constant (fixed sign). However you will use different strategies as you are also fluid. You will adopt all psychological, mental, emotional, astral tools at your disposal, highly imaginative. You can in turn become a fluid water, turn into solid ice or scalding steam. The focus and the ability to use, to crush, to command if necessary. And extremely skilled. You does not trust anyone deeply. Mars is made for domination. So you feel satisfaction only when you can dominate everyone around you emotionally. Scorpios have an emotional need to be in control.

Moon in Scorpio into the subconscious

Or imagine water flowing in a network of pipes. It can be shut down in some and forced into other pipes. Now Mars with focussed will has the skill to consciously regulate the movement of pran/vital energy on which the body/mind works. This ability is important for spiritual progress. He will be ultimately shutting down the body’s other naadis and sending all the pran you take in only into the Sushumna. Evolved Scorpios engaged in regular spiritual practice can do this more easily. They can manipulate pran in the bodies of other people also. They can heal as well as hurt with this ability they possess. So becoming energy-healers, shamans, tantrik etc is natural to them.

Mars creates the body which experiences and also the environment which is experienced. As the natural ruler of the 1st Aries, he creates the physical body/world around you. And as the natural ruler of the 8th Scorpio, he creates the astral body/world surrounding you. He is birth, death and rebirth. Death is as vital a process as birth. Death does not mean and end, it simply means a fresh start, a transformation.

Scorpio controls reproductive and regenerative ability of the body. You are experimental and exploratory by nature. Affairs before marriage and during marriage are possible. In marriage there exists some dissatisfaction because the two have different ideas related to sensual pleasures. The partner prefers outgoing boisterous energy, eg family group type activities. Scorpio-Moon prefers secret domination and a bit of tension in marriage. Also will not express his real emotions ever. Scorpio also rules over the reproductive organs and the act of childbirth. Can be a good doctor/ surgeon.

Reconstructive and destructive events often occur in the life of Scorpio-Moon placements. You accept change in your own personality and surroundings in both the physical and emotional contexts. You have a very high level of confidence in traumatic and emotional situations. Scorpio is aware. It has an internal maturity of both maternal/ paternal emotions. It also has the necessary emotional readiness to interact with public, society and foreign elements. So it is are quite capable of facing any situation in life with perfect composure.

A watery sign has considerable intuition, it uses the resources of its astral self naturally, spontaneously and more often. The sign has access to astral selves of other people too. Their interaction is more on the astral levels than the physical levels. If you meet someone who has significant number of planets in the watery signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces you ‘feel’ the interaction more. The auras interact with more intensity. If you are a watery Moon and your best friend too, you might notice being together without talking for long periods but then feeling like you have had entire conversations in silence. The aura exchanges information more easily in watery signs.

Watery signs are about ‘rhythm’, there is a distinct ebb and rise in your every action. Water also has depth, things move unseen, gather force till they explode like underwater volcanoes. Just like hydraulics which uses the power of fluids, Scorpio uses the targeted power of the fluid astral self in a very targeted and dangerous manner. Watery depths conceal secrets. Secrets about oneself and of other people are known to the Scorpios. And they will use them in unexpected force to dominate.

Moon in Scorpio into the subconscious

Now some astrologers completely forget to study about the Nakshatra, lunar mansions. If you want to perfect your readings, you have to learn the Nakshtra in detail. It will make your understanding of the D-9 Navamsha divisional charts also easier. Scorpio consists of 3 lunar mansions.

Vishakha – influenced by Jupiter. It uses concealed sources of wisdom to create changes to itself and its surroundings. There are rhythmic large surges in growth. Something like cell division? To grow there is first the pain of division. Desires to learn and then teach too. Is capable of healing type of pranic manipulation and the occasional kindness. A healer doctor.

Anuradha – influenced by Saturn. This lunar mansion uses secrets to resist dangers. It transforms itself by disciplined response to emotional challenges. Here the role of karmic influences in higher and the explosions of Mars’s energy are regulated. You cannot rest, there are so many duties lined up. You need to work. A doctor who works in the trauma emergency ward?

Jeyshtha – influenced by Mercury. Highly intelligent, inventive and skilful of the three. This naksahtra born are intelligent, analytical, calculative and communicative. However they will communicate nil iIf they wish to hurt someone, they know the exact precise amount of cutting words to use. Can directly confront with single minded force, refutes other’s ideas. Can be a good investigative or detective agent. Understands the criminal mind very well. Birth Moon in the very last degrees of Jeyshtha means it is a Gandant birth with its own set of issues.

Moon in debilitation. The energy of the Scorpio environment is completely unmatched to the Moon’s nature. For a Scorpio Moon to be successful the ascendant sign/lord should be well placed. The Mars should be capable of giving benefic effect. And such a Moon should be influenced by benefic and auspicious planets. Scorpio is a highly esoteric rashi. If you are a Scorpio-birth Moon, choose to explore your inner spirituality. You will be great here.

Here you are aware of the biggest fragility of of the human being. The sookshma-sharir, the subtle body. You are aware of deepest emotional astral needs, which everyone keeps secret. Acknowledge to yourself your own frailty. What you do with this knowledge, decide for yourself. This is the challenge.

If you learn to trust your own entire self, trust the conscious and the sub-conscious both. The sub-conscious mind is not a challenge that you annihilate with brute force! Yes, ultimately you will annihilate your self so that you can create yourself anew but if you try to understand the process and the reasons it will be more fulfilling. The natural Moksh trikon is created using the energies of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. These three signs are the most mysterious of the twelve. In Scorpio, secrets and hidden forces are used to liberate the soul from the illusion of the manifested Universe.

If you have been able to re-learn to see auras, you have now opened for yourself completely new dimensions. You can now ‘see’ sound, ‘see’ tastes, ‘see’ touch and ‘see’ smells, and ultimately you will be able to ‘see’ your own magnificent self too!

The energy beauty of sounds

So where is the real you? In this physical body the real you is located ‘behind’ your third eye in a location called the Kuthastha. This is the seat of yourself, the consciousness, also called the ‘hrudaya’. Now this is the place where all the pran/vital energy, that you pull in from the Universe is brought for allocating it for various activities. Here you decide how to use it best, during the awake phase you allocate it to the organs of sense and action of your robot/body and during the sleeping phase you allot it for rest and rejuvenation of the body and also for your Self. So the point is that the real you is the one who senses everything not your sense organs as such. These sense organs are powered by pran they recieve from the Kutastha. If you have become sufficiently conscious of your Kuthastha Purush/real you, you can just sense everything (taste, smell, hearing, touch and sight) from your third eye, you don’t need the senses of the robot/body.

So enough of theory, back to what this post is about, a look on how sounds ‘look’ like. A small example, you are in bed, the room is dark, you are half asleep and guy in the room above your’s drops a weight on his floor, in your half-asleep state you hear a thud with your ears, but you also see a burst of light in front of your eyes. You ‘see’ the thud! I am very sure this has happened to you at some time. Maybe you didn’t understand what happened but the next time this happens remember it! So here are some very familiar sounds and how they look like. You can practice ‘seeing’ sound by tying a blindfold on your physical eyes and trying to focus on the sound with your third eye. Try it sometime when you are especially relaxed and in nature, with minimum artificial sounds around you. These are tiny exercises which will help you become more aware of the real you. Here are a few examples of everyday sounds to pique your interest.

Thunder looks like a explosion , a sort of a sphere with spikes of energy projections often electric blue and of undescribable color. If you ‘see’ the sound of the wind through trees it looks like a network of glittery stuff undulating in regular curves and loops. Ocean is another beautiful sound, the waves are a series of parallel lines changing colors as they break on the sea-shore. The chirping of birds has typical loops and curving lines of different colors. The birdsongs which sounds sweet to your ears are beautiful, regular loops of light. And the harsh cawing of crows is seen as waves of jagged crests and dips. I once saw the tiger in the zoo roar, it was a terrible blast of energy, am sure its prey animals must be ‘seeing’ it too, thus freezing with fright.

The national anthem and similar music played by the police band for march-past is a powerful pulsing rhythm, very strongly undulating. It affects everyone’s astral bodies so much so that brings in powerful surges of strength. It is so stong and entraining that it stops the mind from independent thoughts. It is needed for soldiers I guess. Now to human speech, when someone speaks in anger the sounds is seen as a high red colored energy wave of sharp highs. An innocent laugh of a young child is seen as loops of softly colored luminous clouds.  Artificial laughter is almost always brown/grey, sharp waves of light, quite unpleasant. A genuine real laugh is rounded clouds of yellowish or bright light.

Then the barking of dogs (almost everywhere in Indian cities) creates highly distasteful bursts of projectiles of light which severely unsettle the astral body. A train screeching loudly is equivalent to a knife of dirty murky light cutting  into the astral body. Repeated exposure to such sounds will damage the astral body beyond its ability to repair itself. And a damaged astral body will result in an illness of the physical body soon. Repeated loud sharp noises are like blows of traumatic energy and irritate the astral body. This discordant energy affects the mind, tiring it and robbing it of its ability to think clearly.  If this continues, physical symptoms are not far behind. The continuous sounds of modern living are damaging us on levels which we cannot even comprehend. Especially for children with their highly sensitive astral and mental selves, such ceaseless noise can lead to a lifetime of problems.

So it is important to take a break from city life as frequently as possible by being in nature, by the sea-shores, in the mountains like the Himalayas, near rivers of high positive energy like the Ganga etc. But not all of us can do this very often, so it is important to fortify ourselves against this non-stop cacophony polluting our cities. You can do this by listening to classical music performed by a master who has immersed himself in the music (not amateur musicians). The quality of such music is divine, beyond beautiful. Amateur music is dull bursts of energy. Stringed instruments and wind instruments are the best sources of such light bright energies. Religious chants are also very good for the astral body’s health. Especially Mantras in Sanskrit are the best way to repair your astral self.

Listen to uplifting soothing music, it not only soothes your soul but repairs your astral, mental and physical bodies in the process.

We are surrounded by sound, everything even our thoughts create sound vibrations. Just maybe if we can cut past the discordances that we have created for ourselves we just might hear the sound of ourself, Om!
