    Hi Madam,

In any Samskrit stotra, phal shruti is mentioned, e.g. in Ganpati stotra, it says below

    द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्रिसन्ध्यं यः पठेन्नरः ।
    न च विघ्नभयं तस्य सर्वसिद्धिश्च जायते ॥५॥

I read in one of the books, they said that some part from the original text is lost/omitted purposefully, hence people dont get the 100 % effects mentioned in any stotra? Is it correct?

    Or

is the condition that we dont follow the 5S, i.e. its said in same book that for any sadhana, its better to keep sthan, samaya, sankhya, samagri and samyama.

Or these is some other reason?

Also, the mantra which we refer is Savitru mantra and not gayatri mantra.

would like your guidance on this

    Thanks

      Hi there
Several of our books have been injected with nonsense by the invaders. Biggest example is the ‘ahimsa paramo dharma’ line which does not exist like this anywhere.

Our system was oral, ie several of the shlokas stotras etc were learnt by heart and thus transmitted to the next generations. When the invaders killed the Brahmins, all this was lost.

You can never get the 100% effects mentioned in any stotra fr several reasons,
first is Guru, all the stotras are Guru-mukhi, a Guru level ‘person’ as to give it to you. Here we assume that our adored deity is our Guru so we get a significant % of the result but it will not be 100%.
Then time, certain stores need be recited at specific times. We have no sense of Jyotish now, so are unable to harness the power of Kaal.
Also Chhanda and purity of the Akshar/Uccahran, we do not know how to pronounce the words and neither do we know the proper rhythm.
      Etc, etc.
So that is why I stress on Shraddha faith and Sankalp intention. If you have these two right in your own Mind, then you can manage to make the most of the mantra pujas you perform.

    Hi Madam,

I read in one of the replies to 1 question that old clothes should be discarded.
My query is that when exactly should one do this? I mean only if one is having chronic sadness/depression/hopelessness from a long time (>1 year)? Because many people, including i, have habit of using the clothes until they wear out, sometimes may be for 5-6 years.

Also, how exactly one should dispose them? in places like mumbai, there are some places where one can just put such clothes and needy can take them, but I dont find it very comfortable, considering the clothes must have some “you” in them after so many years and might be used by some nasty people. Should we burn them instead?

    thanks

    Mam,

I have been following your blog for a while now and have read your posts on negative energies and psychic attacks. I have been facing a strange kind of problem since the past 4 years. I am not knowing whom to approach for advice and hence I decided to seek your guidance in this matter. I request you to please not let this post appear publicly on the forum or open for everyone to read. There was no way for me to email you personally other than through this forum.

    -—

Mam, I would like to hear from you about this and what you would suggest to overcome this problem. One sadhak who does dhyaan regularly told me that his tamasic energy is unconsciously feeding on my energy which I am generating through sathwik sadhana. And he said the only way out for me is to strengthen my mind so that I can get immune to these kind of things. Could you please advice on how to strengthen my mind ?

    Warm Regards

        Hi there
        not all practitioners are genuine.
there are several who take advantage of the new students etc. and it is very easy to drain energy from others.
i know several ‘masters’ ‘mystics’ etc who drain their disciples in a very systematic manner using words, objects, emotional manipulation, food/water etc.
once an emotional bond based on Shraddha/faith is formed, the ‘mystic’ can do whatever he wants to the new disciple.

so one should be very careful.
basic common sense and due precautions are always necessary.

There is a book named, Navagraha Purana by V.S. Rao. In that book, talking about chandra graha, he talks about a king named Vararuchi who had a son named Hiranyagupta who went insane and later became normal after the astrological remedies were followed. Do you think this is possible in real life – in Kaliyuga? Again, thank you for your answers

I do not need a reading per se. I know you don’t need the money. I could donate to any charity of your choosing. Please let me know if you might consider doing this.

So..He got Shiva’s Atma Linga means..
He got Shiva’s Heart..its none other than Vishnu(protector of samsara)..
May be that’s why gods scared about it..

      Hi there
When we use the title ‘Shiva’ it does not mean Bhagwan Shankar.
The highest auspicious is the Advaita, the Atma ie the Paramatma, the Para… is Shiva.

Bhagwan Shankar is the deity of the Tamogun.
Bhagwans Brahmadev Vishnu Shankar are equal. Neither is greater or lesser than the other two. (Bhagwan Vishnu is not Bhagwan Shankar’s heart!)
They are essentially the same and always equal.
These three are manifest at the level of the three Gun, ie the equilateral triangle around the Bindu of the Shri yantra.
The Bindu is the Devi Lalita, Mahatripursundari, the Shri Chakranagar Samrajyni herself, ie the Prakruti.
She creates the Gun, whom we visualise as the 3 Bhagwans and they further manifest the 3 Devis who are shown to be their wives. This Bindu is the the boundary between the Advaita and the creation. It is created first (pravrutti) and naturally destroyed at the last (nivrutti).
Read those posts on Shri yantra, Prakruti etc. use the index.

Astral body is the sum total of your jivatma’s journey, everything that your individual soul is.
think on what is possible if the self-ego gets full access to this linga sharir.

In the context of Jyotish only, the astral body is indicated by the Moon. Perspective and context is all important. Never forget this.

      Akashvani is by the Antaratma.

It says Brahma came from Vishnu(from his Novel)..
It shows like Vishnu, shiva greater than Brahma..

    But..When considering Astras in puranas..
Brahmastra considered as greatest than even Vaishnava..pashupata..Narayana astras etc..

    In the Word “Brahmastra”..
Brahma refers to creator Brahma(came from vishnu’s novel)
    Or…Parabrahma(combination of tridevata)..

But..it shows like Brahma(creator) gives this astra to sadhaks…why like that?

      Hi there
      The authority devolves like this,
First Ved (ie the 4 Ved, their Brahmana, Aranyak and the Vedant)
Then the Itihas – Ramayan and Mahabharat. Mahabharat is often called the Pancham Ved, it has the same authority as the 4 Ved.
after this then come the Puran.

      Shiva = Advaita
      Bindu = Prakruti
      Prakruti creates the three Gun.
Satva gun is destabilised by the spontaneous action of Raja and simultaneously Tama is brought into action. This causes further creation. So we say that ‘Raja and Tama’ are formed from the ‘body of Satva’.
      Satva = Bhagwan Vishnu
      Raja = Bhagwan Brahmadev
      Tama = Bhagwan Shankar

When Nivrutti operates, conscious control over Raja gives simultaneous control over Tama which is then used to ‘destroy excess Raja’ this simultaneously ‘destroys excess Tama’ too and the perfect equilibrium between Satva, Raja, Tama is achieved. This allows the sadhak to approach the Bindu.

All three ‘astra’ are equally powerful. no point in comparing them to each other.

but if you really want to compare then mantra/pujas of Bhagwan Brahmadev are the most difficult.
we are living in the Kali yug and now we are not allowed to perform even basic pujas for him because we do not have the capacity to do so.
even the Gayatri associated with his wife Devi Sarasvati is allowed only for a minuscule % of the human population.
      Gayatri tantra has practically vanished.
and i don’t think that even the full text of the Brahma tantra is available at this time.

point is, Purans are not to be considered to be the primary source of information unless they are backed up by the Itihas or Vedic references.
the text of the Purans have been highly damaged and distorted by the invaders in the past 1000yrs or so.

I have written about all this in several posts.
Use the index and think for yourself.

    5. What greater fool is there than the
man who having obtained a rare human body,
and a masculine body too, neglects to
achieve the real end of this life.

This is translation of one of the verses from Adi Sankaracharya’s Viveka Chudamani by Sri Madhavananda.

I couldn’t go beyond this verse because the ultimate truth is that there is no gender to the soul that seeks to achieve the real end of life.

Could you please comment on this verse? Again, thank you

      Hi there
i have mentioned several times that ‘translations’ of books in Devbhasha Samskrutam are not possible. and that too in this highly limited English!
we are a very unfortunate generation that we have to read our Sanskrit books about our own Dharma, Tattvajnyan, Atmajnyan etc in this severely limited English.

someone asked me for the best possible option in english, so i gave this one option.
but this does not mean that you will just read the english part like a story book.

that one line in english is so that you have a starting point somewhere.
but you are very much required to read the Sanskrit and think on the meaning.
these are the deepest philosophical concepts not random words.
if you think that you can go and read our books without referring to the actual Sanskrit, and understand the concepts in English, you are so wrong.

i have mentioned somewhere that the first line of the Bhagwat Gita is ‘Dhrutarashtra uvach’.
and i needed a few days to understand what this can mean. i actually had to refer 2-3 other books to arrive at some sort of a conclusion on just these two words.

every Sanskrit word has at least 25 literal meanings, several nuances and hidden meanings depending on the reference point.

i have repeatedly said that everyone must learn Sanskrit. there is no option on this.
      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2020/05/29/learn-devbhasha-samskrutam-aka-sanskrit/
are you doing even one of the activities i have mentioned in this post, regularly?

do you really think that Adi Sankaracharya would have even meant something on the sexist lines? An Atma Jnyani Mahapurush, a Satguru?
you should have tried to find out for yourself all the possible meanings for पौरुषम् or मानुष्य or पुरु पुरुष मनु मनुष्य etc.

and though the soul has no sex, the body and mind you are inhabiting has.
there are three options, biology is very clear on this, either male नर, female नारी or neuter षण्ड.
this biological fact is clearly reflected in the energy structure – pingala ida or sushumna. every action you take, every thought you have is a reflection of this basic difference.
i have written on male and female mindsets in a few posts, both have their own advantages and disadvantages. neither is better than the other nor worse.
also mentioned about the rare opportunity that the neuter mindset has if these persons know what to do with their unique energy structure.

        biological sex is reality.
        male female neuter नर नारी षण्ड .

I have heard in a pravachan that it’s possible a jivanmukta can roam near to us like a normal person or like beggar, mad etc..
Without recognized by anyone as one..
    Is it true..?

What if an ignorant knowingly unknowingly abuse, beat or kill that Mahapurusha..
Is this treated as special case..or as big sin..?

And…in purana, itihasa Everytime a Jivanmukta showed as saint,Muni, following ascetic life..
Is it possible he can be continue as a soldier or warrior who fights..?

        Hi there
you have pointed out two valuable books by two Atma Jnyani Mahapurush, Sat gurus both.

Jeevan muktananada lahiri is a short composition of 17 shloks which is easily available online.
it has a ‘translation in english’ but it is advisable to at least read the sanskrit verses.

Panchadashi is a beautiful work. a standard reference for the student of the Vedant. it is very encouraging that you have read this.
it is also available as a pdf online.
(it is a strange coincidence that you mentioned this book today.
a personal incident – last night my husband wanted to refer to this and was searching thru the house for it. he finally found it in my Dad’s room and then they had a very detailed discussion on this.)

        true.

attacking or killing anyone is not acceptable.
if you do so without provocation, you attract the Law of Karma.

the only exception is if you are facing someone who can be classified as an ‘atatayi’.
in this case punishment of even upto the death penalty can be given to him.

I did read its happened to Shuka Maharshi when he behaved as Mad person & civilians stoned him..
    But..Parikshit recognized that noble soul..

He was parikshit who can understand bhagavat purana in 7 days to attain moksha..

    But..we are ignorants..we do mistakes..
I have seen many incidents where people brutally beats sanyasis roams on roads…
Is there any prayaschitta for that type of Dushkarmas in kaliyuga..?

And…What’s the purpose of Atmagyani continued as King like Janaka..
Why doesn’t he sacrifice his kingdom to other king who tries to conquer it..and live saintly life.?

      Hi there
i do not understand this Q.

Shuka Muni attained Moksh and left his physical shell way even before Vidur Dhrutarashtra and Pandu were born. Read the Mahabharat.
And Shuka Muni was never stoned! where do you read these sort of stories?

the description of Shuka Muni ‘travelling’ along the Sushumna is a very important one and a guideline for every spiritual aspirant.

Parikshit is the great grandson of Pandu. So Parikshit could have never met Shuka Muni in person.

      Again,
top level authority = Ved (4 ved, vedant, brahmana, aranyak),
then Itihas, ie the Ramayan and the Mahabahrat. Mahabharat is the ‘Pancham Ved’.
      then come the puran.

in case of any inconsistencies between the itihas and the ved, we will follow the ved.
in case of any inconsistencies between the puran and the ved, we will follow the ved.
in case of any inconsistencies between the puran and the Itihas, we will follow the Itihas.

every incident mentioned in the puran has to match with the itihas, in case of inconsistency we do not accept the puran’s version. we stick to the Itihas.

the episode of Parikshit’s death narrated in the Mahabharat is the true narration.
read it from the Itihas not from the puran.

No prayahschitt for people who physically assault the Sanyasi. they will be shunted to timir-andh, no scope for further births, no scope for evolution.

i have repeatedly mentioned that the Sanyasi is neither of this world nor of the pitrulok. he is neither ‘alive’ nor ‘dead’. he is something very terrible, indescribable. he has taken the agni of his anteyshti into himself. if you do not want to respect him then do not insult him either.

Prarabdha karma have to be completed. that is why.

i hve written on these topics. use the index page.

    Hello Mam,

Having followed your blog for quite a while now, it’s my understanding that every planet has a say in both our materialistic endeavors and spiritual aspirations, it’s always a team effort if I may put it so…we need the confidence of sun, a stable mindspace domain of moon, hardwork and routine from saturn, the capacity to change things from Mars, appreciate and make best use of our environment or acceptance from venus, to notice the patterns and order of things from mercury, to learn to let go of things from ketu…pardon me if I have made incorrect references

I sometimes miss the Rahu’s way of acting with respect to spiritual learning.

Is it his style to attend a feast and take a bite of every dish and realize that everything is made up of the same thing and no reason to like or dislike something?

I can only think of this lame example now🙈, to ask my question.

    Thank you

      Hi there
Rahu will not get satisfied, it is not his nature to achieve this realization. for this to happen, Rahu and Ketu will have to merge and become Svarbhanu again.
if you do your sadhana long enough you just might see this happening.

i wrote several posts on rahu ketu
and one on the evolution of the soul, read it.
Spiritual aspirants need their rahu and ketu to b powerful else they cannot progress in their sadhana.

If one is having his ascendant lord in either of dushman sthan then ideally he should avoid the partner with similar combination ( partner asc lord in 6, 8, 12th OR 7th house lord in 12th, 2nd and 6th house). Is this filter correct?
Because after marriage the karma are linked together for partners and heavy trik houses is not advisable

depends on the age of the person.

people wait till they cross their 30s then try to find a chart to match. then have impossibly high requirements which do not get satisfied. thus remain single and frustrated.

i would not give a generic answer to this. it depends on the rest of the chart too.
eg i know a couple both 7th lord in 12th. husband in army. wife a bank officer, two children. the family gets together fr a few weeks in a year and all is well.

Yes. if the consciousness is given a form, attributes, description then becomes a deity.

      Formless is Shiva.

there is a Set theory in math.
the larger Set is ‘Shiva’ and ‘Shankar’ is a smaller set within this Shiva.

Have you been to Shri Kshetra Kashi?
when they do Shringar of the Shivlingam they refer to the deity as Bhagwan Shankar and when they remove the Shringar and the Shivlingam is bare, it is called the Shiva.

Why most of the time..Shankar showed as alternate to Shiva.
    Is there any special relation..?

      Hi there
in Maharashtra we generally refer to Bhagwan Shankar as ‘Shankar’ not Shiva.
      Shiva is the Shivalingam.

in my entire life i never thought that “Shiva” was the same as Bhagwan Shankar (with attributes like figure, family etc).
it is only when i shifted my residence to Uttar that i realised that people here use these two titles interchangeably.

if people want to follow the puran and forget the Itihas and the Ved then the answer is that they do not have the capacity to appreciate these subtle things.

and there is the ‘Vishuddha Tamogun’

i wrote earlier also that Tamo gun will balance Rajogun and then Satvagun will also come to balance , all happens instantaneously but still this is the sequence.

at this point of time, rather than getting into these philosophical discussions, do your pujas etc.
u can call your adored deity whatever makes sense to you and makes you feel happy.

I have been doing Ganesh stotra recitation since childhood. Also used to go to a famous temple during Ganesh chaturthi. However, for some reason in one phase of my life, this upasana took backseat and now I have started again. My query is regarding Ganesh Gayatri Mantra. In order to come out of an urgent pending problem/calamity is there any specific/additional rule for deity’s Gayatri mantra recital or we can do it a a regular mantra … as mentioned in the Mantra/Beej Mantra posts ? Also there are three versions I came across : Om Ekdantay Vidmahe, Om Gajananay Vdmahe and Om Mahapurushay Vidmahe…
Which one of these is correct? Or are they used for different intents?
(Out of these Ekdantay Vidmahe is from Shree Atharvasheersha stotram so I am thinking it is authentic. )

    1) In every marriage proposal I get (or even if i choose from the available biodatas), saturn holds a key role; influencing ascendant or moon and placed either in capricorn or aquarius. This is applicable for each and every chart, no exception. And 80% of charts are manglik. This is definitely not a coincidence. What could this mean? My saturn is aspecting moon and lagna lord and well placed in d-1 and d-9.

I have a question regarding chanting mantras and lifestyle. I live in a Western country and I am following a non-veg diet. If I want to chant the gayatri mantra – can I do it? Or would there be a conflict/negative consequences if I’m chanting and eating non-veg.

More generally – which deities can one worship if their lifestyle is not satwik. For example you wrote about Devi mahatmya and how strict adherence to satwik diet is a must. I am assuming if you are worshipping Hanuman – strict rules and lifestyle would be required as well.

      astrology is not fatalistic.

if you have identified a possible issue from the combinations then you should try to come up with some mitigating strategy. eg puja, mantra, dana, or behavioural changes.

4th lord in 12th will cause some problem for the mother or some stress to you from her.
exact situation will depend on the sign and the rest of the chart/ dasha/ transit.

Moon in 4th is ordinarily a good position. if he is strong. or the sign here is strong then he can give some positive results too.

    – Why armies, people with air and personnel access, trekkers refuse to go their or dig deep?

    – Why chinese govt. despite of being communist has not interfered to decode the strange magnetic powers around it? For normal people like us, refusal or difficulty to go closer to the peak would be out of sheer inability to take in the effect. Energy vortex.

    – It is said that the door to other dimension are open and there is some strange vehicle also parked noted by armies or air forces but its all hidden due to irrationality. Why other govt are not intrigued.

      Kailash mountain is not Tibet.
it is the center, the energy focus, of this earth.
you cannot go there unless you are a Muni, Yogi etc someone who has work there and who can exist in that sort of energy.

going to a pilgrimage is not for everyone.
you can go only when you have accumulated enough energy to sustain the blast of power from the deity moorti.

In our circles it’s said that they attain the deity ( or moksha ) . It’s basically considered an auspicious event.

There is one known example of an actress / dancer Protima bedi who died during Kailash yatra . But if you look at the life of this person it was that of a very individualistic, non conformist, super modern individual, who probably broke most of the traditions.

if they leave their physical shell after having the darshan then yes, they have completed their quota so have gone back to pitrulok to rest/ enjoy their punya

        https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2019/02/08/marak-rulers-of-the-2nd-and-7th/

earlier only those who had entered the vanprasthashram or sanyasashram stage would leave for tirthyatra. and the idea was that they would not be coming back. they would say their final farewells and leave. they would have finished with all their responsibilities. now on their way to the temple of their adored deity. so now what is there to come back for? better would be to stay there, do bhajan of the deity and finally leave the shell in that Kshetra.

it is only in these modern times that people have started going and coming back from the tirth kshetras.

but if the physical death has occurred before the darshan then it means that the deity had not called the person, not given permission to come to his Kshetra.

    Hi Madam,

    1)
You have briefly mentioned about anushthan in this post

    https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2021/09/19/mantra-pujas-the-dos-and-donts/

24000 repetition in 9 days for Gayatri Mantra.

I wanted to know how to follow the same for devi saptshati with Samput.
Means on each day , a single path to be read for 13 days for 24 paath? I haven’t read the sapt Shati earlier, doing this for the first time.
Also, while doing Samput, we have to repeat the common mantra as per our desire , among 30x targeted mantras mentioned on page 235 in the book, once or twice after each shloka? Because the ending repetition works as samput for the next shloka?

    2) also, Ashwin navratri is the best timing for the same, but if one has some immediate target, can he begin the same anushthan in krushna paksha too?
    3) i recently saw a horoscope of tula lagna, with saturn yogkaraka in 4th house and mars in 1st house. Now , mars and saturn are opposite energies, so saturn being yogkaraka, nullifies their mutual damaging aspect? Means can we think this chart to give positive results wrt saturn and mars?

    Thanks

      Hi there
i would not advise such an intense anushthan unless you have already been doing some stotra from the book daily.

the navrati is the ideal time for any Devi puja.

but if you want to do some thing earlier then the one day of Devi Haritalika on Trutiya nxt week is also good.

or any Tuesday or Friday is also fine.

nothing gets ‘nullified’ it is simply redirected, channelised in a different way.

        Hi madam,

        Thanks for replying

        1) The doubt i had regarding the samput is this. If M= main mantra, S= Samput, then which of below is correct while using the samput continuously
        SMS,SMS,SMS…OR SM,SM,SM..
        2) There are multiple stotra’s mentioned in the Durga Saptashati book viz., Devi kavacham, argala stotra, keelakam upto saptshati nyasah. Do we have to read those too, before the actual adhyay’s?
        4) Also, is there any place where we can get the simplified version of these adhyay’s where the words are written separately and sandhi is not made.
        3) The Navvarna mantras and many others are to be ended with nasan “ang” sound , for using the same for self. But, I am not pronouncing the mantras, and reciting it mentally, I hardly find the difference between “am” and “ang”. So, better to pronounce with nasal ‘ang”?
        4) I am currently using asan made from cotton and working on to make the same made of wool+ silk as per your post. But now too, I feel slight heat if i do the mantras for more duration> 1 hr. Especially, if i do Gayatri for 108 times, I cant do anything additional. It happens only with Gayatri and no other mantra.
        5) If i cant devote more time, then better to give priority to mantra than dhyan?
        6) I am having copper homa kunda but we use for shraddha vidhi only, to offer rice to agni yearly twice. Can it be used for mantra related homa/ or better to buy separate one.

sorry for too many questions and thanks a lot

        Hi there
        1.2.3.
do your regular pujas for at least 2-3 yrs and only then attempt any serious anushthans.

i do not understand why do people think that they can do higher level pujas before preparing themselves.
some people i know have not done daily pujas ever but they want to jump directly into the Mahavidya sadhanas.
if you do this, you will burn your nadis from the inside and spend your remaining current life and the next few lives healing yourself.
do only as much as you can safely absorb.

        Mantra are Agni.

        4.
no, better learn Sanskrit so that you can pronounce the sandhis properly.

listen to the recitation by prem prakash dubey, it is the best i have heard. and follow the book that will help you clear your pronunciation

        4.
physical heat is because you are not able to absorb the heat of the mantra generated by your 108 reps.

(someone actually suffered physical boils/rashes coz this. that person had asked this question in a past comment)

        5.
if you do 108 reps of the mantra and just get up, how will you be able to function with that energy sloshing around in your body?
you need that extra time to absorb what you have generated.
if you do not sit you will face problems caused by the energy.

if you do not have time, stick to the basic 3 reps.

        6.
Tarpan and Sharaddha vidhi items are used for Pitrus. these can never ever be used for any pujas etc that you do for the Devatas.
doing this would the most direct way of getting cursed by the Pitrus and the Devatas both.

        Hi Madam,

        thanks a lot for reply.
        1) I have been reciting Ganpati stotra, atharvasheersha + Pradnya vivardhan stotra daily once for more than 5 yrs. From last 6 months or so, incorporated saptshloki + shree suktam too, once daily. In addition, grah specific mantra for each day. So, I thought i can begin with saptshati. actually, I met a brahmin last week ,and he advised me to get saptshati paath done to help with marriage related topic. so, we did the pooja last tuesday and they recited all the adhyayas with the specific samput for the same (14th mantra from the set). he also told me, i should recite the Navvarna + samput myself daily to get the benefits of the whole process.
So, is it advisable to do add just this much (Navvarna + samput) 108 rep, daily?

        2) Regarding the beej mantra’s e.g. for mercury it is, om braang breeng broung sah budhaay namah. Here, the word broung is to be pronounced like ब्राऊन्ग similar to brown, or ब्रॉं similar to bronze?
        3) thanks a lot for clarifying regarding the items to be maintained separately for pitru and devata. I saw everywhere that same pali, tamhan etc are used by people for both and even brahmin coming for these dont know about it. I will inform everyone i know about this. Its very important point.

        thanks

        Hi there
you should go by what he has advised as this is a part of the pujas he has performed for you.
There are several ways of reciting the mantras from this book. The sequence of the initial keelak, etc and the chapters. also several ways for samput with the navvarna. all this varies as per requirement

        ॐ ब्रां ब्रीं ब्रौं सः बुधाय नमः
If you can read Devanagari then it is quite clear how to pronounce ब्रौं . exactly as it is written.
Except the last will be the nasal ‘ng’ and not ‘am’ sound.

I have very low hopes from the general Brahmins’ of today.
There are very rare Brahmins who know what to do, when to do and how to do.
Eg my cousin, a Daivajnya Brahmin himself, had called a Brahmin for doing the Tarpan vidhi for his mother. The Brahmin was insisting that he would buy everything and my cousin had just to pay him a total amount. Later he realised that the Brahmin was reusing the same stuff across several rituals!
Today the situation is such that the same individual Brahmin is performing Tarpan (pitru) and pujas (devata). Earlier a tarpan specialist Brahmin would not perform pujas and a Puja specialist brahmin would not perform tarpans. (If they are reusing the stuff across pujas and tarpans then ….. )
Another experience when I had called a Brahmin for doing the tarpans for my own mother, I realised that he was just reciting purush sukta several times and not following the sequence of the mantras. However my cousin was very sincere about what he was doing so his intentions carried the day.
I could go on and on about such experiences.

But there have also been a few pujas too where the Brahmins have with full dedication and knowledge done them, that the energy generated / the presence of the deities was actually palpable.

Point being, if you are doing a puja/ tarpan, do engage a genuine Brahmin.
Also read about the puja/tarpan vidhi. The books are all easily available.
and most importantly keep your intention strong and your feelings genuine.

    Hi madam,

The planet who has traveled more in a sign has the final say in matters related to that house. Is this true even if the planets are well separated e g. Rahu 1 deg will dominate saturn 25 deg, in same sign?

So, in such cases, is doing homa/mantra/daana of the winner planet sufficient in matters related to that house?

But for results related to individual planets, we have to do separate mantra/daana for them ?

    Thanks

      Hi there
doing the mantra of the winner of the Graha yuddha will help the house.
but if you want to improve the results of the losing planet then you should do pujas for it too.

generally we consider the 5 tara graha for graha yuddha.

      Hi there
For Jyotish, there are only the three biological realities, male, female and neuter sex. नर नारी षण्ड , pingala ida sushumna.
‘gender’ is a construct of the mind.

i have already mentioned in an previous comment about the several meanings of “Purush”.
now your homework is to find out those meanings from a dictionary.

i have written about purush prakruti in several posts.

      पुरुष is not नर
and स्त्री is much much more than the simple नारी

that is why Sanskrit is critical.
      everyone must learn Sanskrit.

      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2020/05/29/learn-devbhasha-samskrutam-aka-sanskrit/

do one of these things i have written in this post encourage your family members / friends to also start.

in the other it is natural.

the child will show the effect in the detailed divisional charts. pain to the mother will be evident in the child’s charts
and this will be reflected subtly in the child’s interactions with the mother.

      Hi there
when you have questions like this open your sample charts, check the moon/4th of the child and the 5th house of the mother. see what you get.

in case the mother has gone thru an operation it will be clear from her chart, and the transit/dasha of that time. this is the time she suffered an injury to her body and also the birth time of her child. it is a very intricate merging of energy where two strange emotions of pain and the emotion of having created a child.
if she has a very strong 5th house then she will reconcile to the pain and consider her child/her creative genius to be precious.

i do not have time to write a full post for the past several months. this month has been especially busy. all i can do is to answer the Q.
but i will try to write a post soon.

i do not consider the planets to ‘own’ the nakshatra.
this concept has come from the vimshottari dasha where the nakshatra are the starting points for the planets mahadashas.
nakshatra work on a different set of attributes. try to use these in your analysis
      actual name of the nakshatra
      the nakshatra devata
      symbol
      active/passive
      teevra etc
      male / female
      body parts
      dosh
rashis which are linked to its quarters /navamsha

      Hi there
You are also required to evaluate whatever you hear/read against these three criteria.

      1. Granth prachiti – Is what is being said as per the accepted Granth.
Ie first Ved (includes the 4 ved, the Vedant, ie the Upanishad, the Brahmana and the Aranyaka.)
      Then Itihas ie Mahabharat/ Ramayan
      Third priority Puran.

There was a comment where someone was quoting a story narrated to him by some pravachan-kaar which was against the Mahabharat. We cannot accept such stories etc to be correct.

      2. Guru prachiti – the stuff should be vetted by a Atmajnyani Mahapurush or in accordance to his teachings.

      3. Atma-prachiti – you yourself, your own conscience, your Antaratma must accept this to be correct.

If so, then accept what you read etc.
Else you must reject what you hear, read.

the keywords for every spiritual aspirant are Vivek and Vairagya.

How to decipher the meanings and remember them?(Mostly I forget since they are really terrifying.I wake up screaming sometimes)also some are useless but found to be true.
Can you say something about this?

      Hi there

      Choose one option.

      1. Listen or recite the Ratri sukta with your evening daily pujas.

      2. listen or recite any kavach with your evening pujas. There are several kavachs, Devi, Ganesh, Shiv, Mahamyrutunjai etc. if you have a kuldevata/ ishtadevata then choose his/her kavach. Do this for a life time, it will take care of so many negative things.

      3. Recite ‘Govind’ 108 times before you go to bed. You can sit in your bed while doing this. This will take 2 mins.
This will help your mind remember that it has to recite the mantra ‘Govind’ if there are nightmares. If you can do this while seeing the dream, it will stop.

Snakes are karma. You can offer milk to the ‘Naag’. If you ever go to a natural place, a forest etc keep some milk in a small bowl in a hidden place for them.
After such nightmares, best is to go and offer milk on the Shivlingam.
If departed ancestors are there then offer Go-gras to a desi cow.
even other wise take up a small daily puja of your Kuldevata. 5mins in the morning and evening

      Hi there
Shri Ram was a human, just like you and me. When he was alive no one worshipped him like a deity. he was a prince then a king. he took birth, lived, completed the tasks allotted to him and then left the body.
the purpose of the avtar is to be an example for the other humans that it is possible to defeat Adharma even in the human form. We are humans not machines. the ability to feel emotion is a part of the human experience. the trick is to avoid getting caught in the emotion very deeply with the sense of self-ego.
And coz their capacity is very very large they are given formidable enemies to vanquish. And for this they have to strive, work hard. So the avtars also go to school/ Gurukul, feel sad/happy, wage wars etc. everything so as to set an example for us.
But at some level they are different, ie they do not create karmic bonds as they perfectly follow Dharma. These are special purpose vehicles created for one-off jobs.

Guru’s upadesh may not be clear to the disciple at that very instant of time. It can take years to completely understand what the Guru was saying.

Bhagwan Vishnu is still Satvagun. Beyond that is the Devi Prakruti Lalitatripursundari herself and beyond that is the Advaita, your own self.

Sanskrit words are titles they completely describe. If they are all the names of the Sun then the Rishi would have just written Surya fr all. But he did not. There are 12 forms of the ‘Sun’ . All these are different energies.
