Anteyshti Dharma and the Shmashan

For a follower of Sanatan Dharma his life on this Martyalok is sandwiched between the 1st and the 16th Sanskar.

  • The Garbhadhan is the mantra of conception, where the parents-to-be invite individual soul of the baby-to-be for its incarnation here on Martyalok. Mantra power the intention and Agni carries it to the designated jivatma, fortifying it and then bringing it into Martyalok, establishing it within the astral bodies of the parents-to-be.
  • And after the designated lifetime of work is done, it is back to Pitrulok with the last Antim Sanskar, the Anteyshthi. The rightful heir offers the discarded physical body/sthool sharir to Agni at the Shmashan bhoomi. The mantra power the intention and Agni carries the jivatma back to Pitrulok.

We adore Agni, the Jaatved, the primordial energy, the power of motion. He is the start, the continuation, the end of illusion and also exists beyond the end of illusion.

The Shmashan श्मशान is a high energy environment superficially turbulent and dangerous but subtly silent and very still. On the energy level, the Shmashan bhoomi is a specific location, ‘made with mantras’, ie we do not perform Anteyshthi at any random place. There are criteria for selection and a process which changes the energy of a generic plot of land into a Shmashan. A flat land with flowing water/ sea next to it. Mantra are used to invoke and install the energies of the Shmashan Devata here and only then it does it become a Shmashan bhoomi. Bhagwan Mahakaal, Devi Shmashankali and their Gan are present here in all their fierce awareness.

This physical land resonates with the inner Maha Shmashan at the third eye. This is why doing Sadhana reduces all attachments to the created world. You offer your Karma (imbalances) and Vasana (conditionings, desires) to Bhagwan Mahakaal sitting at your 3rd eye in your own Maha Shmashan. As your accumulated baggage burns, you realise that your family, job, identity, everything is an illusion. As the limited self ego burns the Eternal Advaita emerges. When you do your daily pujas, the act of applying Bhasma to your forehead indicates your intention to resonate with the Bhagwan Mahakaal within you.

After physical death, the soul has to safely traverse from the Martyalok to the Pitrulok. Burning the body in the Agni, in a proper Shmashan, with the proper mantra and by the correct heir gives a tremendous energy boost to the departed soul, helping it reach Pitrulok easily. If this is not done systematically, the jivatma suffers and sometimes remains trapped here in Martyalok as a ghost.

www.psychologicallyastrology.com

There are a few rules to be followed in a Shmashan bhoomi. The energies are violent, catastrophic and dangerous, so women and small children are generally not allowed inside. They are more susceptible to this turbulence and can more easily influenced by the entities who reside here. (This not a fantasy, am sure everyone has seen what happens when a living person gets influenced by an entity.) Only exception to this rule is when the Guru allows them to enter here under his protection. This Bhoomi is the visible environment of the 8th house, death, occult, final exits, dangerous travel through unimaginable routes, destruction, conscious fire, Agni etc. The energies of the purest Vishuddha Tamogun or the destructive Tandav are clearly evident available here.

Even for the men who go there for the Anteyshthis of their family/ friends should be careful as this land creates a temporary but intense sense of detachment, this is called Shmashan vairagya. Seeing the bodies of loved ones being consumed by the Agni is in itself an unsettling experience on the physical level. Added to this is the continuous bombardment of energy as the energies of the Shmashan are the gateway between the Martyalok/ Pitrulok. Plus the intense energies of the spirits and other beings who reside here. Very rarely, this Shmashan vairagya can get so intense that it can convert into genuine Vairagya and the person does not return to the society, ie takes up Sanyas and remains as a devotee of Shri Mahakaal.

If you go here on specific times, nights, midnights, twilights or even midday, you will see occult aspirants doing their practices. The Agni of the Anteyshthi and the Shmashan bhoomi is very high energy, very quick results can be achieved here. But quick results always means extreme danger, tremendous energy, strict rules, high levels of control and rapid transformations. Best keep a safe distance from such aspirants in this location.

www.psychologicallyastrology.com

Boys above the age of 6yrs, ie after wearing the Yajnopavit sutra and doing their Gayatri mantra can go to the Shmashan if there is an Anteyshti in their family. If they participate in some way, they will get merit/ punya from the activities here. Helping out at Anteyshtis of family members, friends, people in the neighbourhood, etc is a chance to balance karma before the departed jivatma leaves for Pitrulok. This type of Punya especially ensures the birth of healthy children and the continuity of the lineage. For those who go to the Shmashan, remember that it is the domain of the Bhagwan Mahakaal. So before going there, ensure that you have created the proper mindset within your self. Pray to him, ie recite your personal mantra or the Mahamrytunjai mantra etc. Offer a few coins to the Shmashan. Then do whatever you have come here to do. Avoid unnecessary interactions with strangers or unnecessary activities here. When you go back home, sprinkle Ganga water or clean water on yourself, wash your hands, feet, face (ideally take a bath) before entering your house. This refreshes the aura, ie the occult energies you have picked up from the Shmashan are replaced by your regular aura.

In the past decade, the media is subtly encouraging women to perform Anteyshti for their departed family members. A woman is not the proper heir for this purpose and her doing this subtly damages her and her future generations. Also the departed soul is deprived of the complete merit / punya from the Anteyshti Sanskar of the body it has discarded thus may face obstacles on its onward way. And by doing this, she will have prevented the proper heir from performing his duty, another negative against her. (If you know someone like this around you, observe for yourself how her life unfolds.)

The proper heir for these activities is the nearest male relative from the same gotra. There will be some cultural differences but the following is generally applicable.

  • For a man, this would be his son, adopted son, grandson, paternal brothers and their sons, etc.
  • For a married woman, this is the men from her husband’s gotra, ie her husband, her son, adopted son, grandson, husband’s brother and his son etc.
  • For an unmarried woman, this would be the men from her own gotra, ie her father, her brother and his son, her male cousins from her father’s side and their sons etc.
  • If the deceased has no sons and has daughters then the daughter’s husband or her son can perform the Anteyshthi (but not the daughter herself).
  • And if there is no male relative of any sort to do this final Sanskar for the departed soul, then any man can perform it with due respect in his heart.
  • If this too is not possible, then the attendants at the Shmashan will take on this responsibility and help the jivatma reach Pitrulok.

Whoever does this, gets a huge chunk of punya /merit for himself and his entire family.

www.psychologicallyastrology.com

Another unsettling trend in these recent times is that if the son is abroad then the deceased’s body is kept in a morgue till he arrives. The morgue is the filthiest place imaginable with negative entities of the higher sort roaming around in search of victims. Leaving your loved one’s physical body here is equivalent to putting his individual soul alone with no protection in a jail with hardened criminals. The practices that we follow after physical death are intended to protect both, the family members and the departed jivatma, and there is a reason for everything, these are not meaningless ‘rituals’.

The Anteyshti should be performed as soon as practically possible. The nearest eligible male who is available at the spot should perform it and close the issue. The departed soul cannot be left lingering around semi-attached to the body, as during this time it is susceptible to attacks from the several negative things roaming around in this Martyalok. It needs to go to the Pitrulok as soon as possible, to first rest and then to continue its activities there.

https://psychologicallyastrology.com

Generally physical death is projected as a sad event. But if you deeply think, it is not really sad. Whatever work the individual soul had decided on before entering Martyalok, it has successfully completed it and is now going back. We come here to work off our karma, not for entertainment. As per some local traditions, drums are played, people are called to sing bhajans etc while taking the dead body to the Shmashan bhoomi.

Then there are several misconceptions regarding the people who serve in the Shmashan. That they are unclean or somehow impure. This is incorrect. On the energy levels they are practically the Gan of Bhagwan Mahakaal, so do respect them. They maintain the Shmashan bhoomi, His residence. They live and work in an environment where normal people think twice before going. They have the capacity to remain calm in the face of such intense catastrophic turbulence. They are on a different level of spirituality which regular people cannot even imagine. Nor understand. If you cannot respect them then at least do not insult them.

https://psychologicallyastrology.com

A bit on Sanyasis. Sanyasis formally discard the society and dedicate themselves to finding the Self. I have mentioned in some post that a Sanyasi can neither be considered to be ‘alive’ nor ‘dead’. And every follower of the Sanatan Dharm is supposed to take on Sanyas-ashram at the last quarter of his/her life, ie accept Sanyas. Ever wondered how Sanyas is ‘taken’? It is described beautifully in the Mahabharat, the Sanyas ashram of the Pandavs and their wife Draupadi.

Agni is the foundation of Sanatan Dharma. Every householder after his/ her Vivah sanskar has to maintain the Agni of their vivah for a life time, it embodies the Gruhast ashram. It is used to perform the daily Agnihotra and all the other pujas/ yajnyas where Agni is needed. All the Sanskars which follow their marriage in their and their unmarried children’s lives are performed using this same Agni. Even for the Anteyshti of a family member this same blazing Agni is taken to the Shmashan in an earthen pot.

In the Mahabharat, the Pandavs assiduously kept their Agni throughout their long and eventful life. Can you imagine the power of this continuously burning Agni? Even in the one year of Ajnyatvaas, when it would have been difficult to maintain it, the Agni was sent to their father in law Dhrupad’s home where he maintained it for them. But at end, when the Pandavs and their wife took up Sanyas ashram, this Agni was ‘taken’ within them. ie in a formal setting, this Agni of the Gruhast ashram of the Pandavs and Draupadi was put into water, extinguished. An Agni burning, blazing for decades, physically extinguished and ‘taken inside into oneself’. They had taken their Anteyshti Agni within themselves. Now onwards the Pandavs and their wife Draupadi were technically Sanyasi, they would continually burn in the fire of their own Anteyshthi until they exited the physical shell.

And it is the same thing when someone genuinely takes up Sanyas even today, he formally takes within him the conscious Agni of his own Anteyshthi. His tiny sense of the individual self is continually being consumed by the Anteyshthi which he has himself lit in his own third eye, in his own Mahashmashan. He has awakened the Shri Mahakaal within him, who will burn out his sense of ‘jiv’ and thus the ‘Shiv’ within will be evident. This is why they are not considered to be residents of either martyalok nor pitrulok, they are ‘existing’ continually in their own Maha shmashans.

My Sat Guru had formally taken Sanyas at the age of 17yrs.

My grand Guru, Shri Siddharameshwar Maharaj’s samadhi is at the Banganga Shmashan bhoomi, Mumbai, right on the Sindhu sagar (Arabian Sea). My Sat Guru and his Guru-brothers would go here very often with their disciples, (this pic is over 20yrs old). My Guru’s Guru-brother Shri Ranjit Maharaj’s samadhi was subsequently made at the same place.

    Namaste Mam,

    1. Would it harm the lineage in any way if people in the family just go away from home and never return ever? In such a case, the whereabouts are unknown and after their death there is no news of their last rites too and even their death ceremony would not be performed. What can be the remedy for the 2nd or even 3rd generation people in such families?

    2. Is Pitru Paksha a good time to visit Brahmakapal to offer Tarpan or to perform death ceremony of dead ancestors? If yes, can such people visit other places and nearby Temples or would they have to come back to their hometown without visiting any other place after performing those rituals?

    3. Many people perform death ceremonies at multiple places on a single trip like Gaya, Varanasi, Allahabad, etc. How useful or beneficial is it to do the same ritual at so many places especially within just a few days gap?

    Thank you!

      Hi there
      1. on sarvapitri amavasya, a common pindadaan for all the ancestors is always performed.

      2. yes, you can if you want to. there are always several pandits available there.
yes, you can visit the other temples etc around.

      3. going to these special places and performing tarpan/pindadaan helps the departed jivatmas and also gives you and your living family members the punya.
it does not cause any problems. and it is not compulsory. if you can go then good. if not then also its ok but then just keep doing the routine ones as per schedule.

    Namaste Ma’am..

Thank you for very useful post for necessary awareness about antyeshti..
    I have some doubt.

We see discussions about personified form of Mahakali..
But..Why its rarely discuss about form of mahakaal?

What’s difference between Kalabhairav and Mahakaal?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
Shri Mahakaal or Devi Mahakali is the energy which destroys the Kaal, the one who devours Kaal.
think for yourself what ‘Kaal’ means .. one hint – this domain starts where the domain of Kaal ends.
but at this level the form does not matter in the least. it is the Maha or Para, it is beyond forms.
and I don’t think Shri Mahakaal is discussed any less than Devi Mahakali. Essentially they are the same.
some of us prefer a mother-figure to adore. a mother is perceived as more loving etc than a father.
some of us prefer a deity in a masculine form, feels more protective, but i think some might think this form to be more strict, more serious.

If you consider Shri Mahakaal to be a father then Shri Kaalbhairav is his son.
think on what ‘father’ and ‘son’ really mean

Attempting at explanation for mahAkAl vs kAlabhairava son of mahAkAl.

        Here son can mean either

        1. Creation . Example bramhA is the creator.

Time is the creation, and thereby the controller of time kAlabhairava is a creation of mahAkAla. Since creation cannot happen without a feminine force, therefore mahAkAl.

        Or

        2. ansha/ amsha or a part of. Like vAyuputra hanumAn.
hanumAn being an amsha of vAyu, has control over all 5 prAna vAyus thus,
kAlabhairava being an amsha of mahAkAla, has control over Time.

krupya samshodhayatu. Please correct me if I am wrong.

So…Bhairav consider as like son to Devi Kali that’s why he alloted to Safe guard Devi Shakti peethas.
    Now..I got some clarity..

In planets some says Shani as Kaala..
    And Rahu as his agent..
Can we compare Shani-Rahu relation like Mahakaal-Bhairav.?

what is a ‘son’, think on it. i have mentioned this in my previous comment.
these are concepts and all from Sanskrit.
after 624 posts, it would be good if people think a bit before typing questions.

So what is Shani and what is Kaal.
if you can logically develop your theory a bit more, it will help you.

Rahu is not Shani’s agent. if someone says so, ask him.
have i ever written something like this in any of the 624 posts I have written?

I always think about Number 8..
    Very magical Number.
Turn it right side it shows infinite..
twist the symbol of infinite it becomes 0..
It’s like 0 becomes infinite by twist it to make it appear like two zeros attatched each other(male&female)..vice versa.

    I have one doubt..
Some says Krishna is nothing but Devi Kali in Male form..is it true..?

Krishna and Bhairav both born on 8th tidhi..
Is there any imp reason about it?

    And..Lord jagannath in Puri temple..
Some calls that deity is Krishna..some calls it Bhairav..
Animal sacrifices also happens in that place which is against Krishna devotees..
What is that lord actually worshipped in that temple..?

      Hi there
look up the sanskrit dictionary for meanings first.
      https://www.learnsanskrit.cc
kali and krishna both literally mean ‘blackness’, absence of ‘color’, ‘potential of everything’ so many more things. both words indicate something that cannot be fully described in the words of the creation.
i have written about Krishna as the indescribable ‘blackness’ that u see at the Ajnya chakra which pulls you. And Kali is the same force. both will destroy Kaal. both are the same.
in our sanatan dharma we adore pure consciousness, and both are the same intelligence. we do not have ‘gods’ we are not a religion.

use the index page to locate the posts on these topics if you wish to read.

ashtami tithi has a very high significance in sadhana. any guesses on this tithi devata? search on the internet and once you read the name its significance will be clear

Bhagwan Vishnu’s Sudarshan chakra is worshipped at Shri Kshetra Puri.
it is one of the 4 chardhams of our Bharat.

Bhagwan Krishna engineered the greatest war in history.
18 Akshohini sena died, all kings of this Bharatvarsha died. all men of fighting age died. Resources consumed, life after the war was bad for all families as all had lost their men. i do not really understand this pacifist image that modern “Krishna devotees’ have built up.
(I understand Bhaav. Some devotees may want to worship such a pacifist deity. but this is not the Shri Krishna of the Mahabharat/ Itihas)

Even otherwise he is the Yogeshwar. He demands that you sacrifice your petty jivatma at his feet. Only then will his real nature be apparent. he is the one who will help traverse the distance from the Ajnya chakra to Sahasrara. but only if you follow his Gita, to reach him at the Ajnya by your own efforts.

Animal sacrifice is tamo-gun. it magnifies and reflects the same tamogun back to the worshipper, if he knows what to do with it, he can gain a lot.
but for regular people, better would be to sacrifice coconuts, pumpkins and the green colored large gourds. that is satvik sacrifice and will increase satvagun. which people can handle.

Read the Pranav Gita (hindi or bengali version only),

        Namaste Mam,

For me, reading the Pranav Gita is one of the things which has been long pending and when I tried, its getting delayed for some reason. Also, unfortunately, I’m more comfortable in English. However, by your first mention of this book, I was able to know more about Kriya Yoga and more so about the greatness of Sri Lahiri Mahasaya. The entire incident of him being able to find Babaji and live the rest of his life following what was taught, this is one story where I truly wished to somehow be a part of. I feel very much connected to these stories and wish that I should have been a part of it. But whenever I remember of it, I feel highly thankful first to you because of whom I was introduced to them all and next I feel thankful and very happy for Sri Shailendra Bejoy Dasgupta, whose book I read and it felt like without him, I wouldn’t have ever known anything about all these great people.

The first and most important thing I learned from this is that we must do whatever we are instructed and taught by the Guru rather than wanting to learn something in particular.

I will once again make sincere efforts to read the Pranav Gita and will aim to read the Hindi version.

        Thank You!

      2. astrologerbydefault Avatar

        Hi there
Lahiri Mahashay never called it ‘kriya yog’.
there is only one lineage which genuinely practices what he really taught. ie a few disciples of the author of this Pranav Gita. if you can find a teacher who comes from this lineage

but be very careful about practicing what is being passed off by several groups in his name.

      Hi Sakshi,

In my family also, almost all family members have no interest in yearly tarpan rituals. Till my grandparents’ time these rituals were done every year. But now, except for me, nobody is interested. If you do the Bali pooja for your dad on his death anniversary nakshatra – once a year is enough. For Pitrudosh, the “Til homa” done for ancestors – once a year is enough. In South, pitrupaksha is observed in around mid-July on Amavasya (month of Karka/ Cancer – check the calender in your local language for the exact date). This year, this falls on 28th of this month. You could do it then or else do it in September Pitrupaksh. You can do “Til homa” on any Amavasya day, but Pitrupaksh is preferable. Remember, “Til Homa” will also include your dad. You don’t have to go to Rameshwaram to do these rituals. Sometimes it is difficult to travel. We have to do our best with whatever resources we have at hand. So find a temple near your home where these rituals can be done and do it there with shraddha, praying for the well-being of your ancestors. Later, if circumstances permit you can go to Rameshwaram. Never do these rituals during your periods; on the day of the ritual have a (head) bath and don’t touch people before you do the ritual. Avoid non-veg food the day before, on the day of the ritual and the day after the ritual.

There is no need to feel guilty. Just do these remedies once a year and you have taken care of your dad and ancestors. Tejaswiniji has also given another excellent remedy of feeding a desi cow (with hump) with chapati and jaggery. By the way, all these remedies are inexpensive. Anybody can do it, but every family should do it.

So its guilt inducing and maybe eventhough i was not conciously carrying it around it was still in my mind, that y i poured it down here.and i guess you are also having roots in kerala or south or may be i am wrong to get to know the situation . I did all that til homa and yearly tarpan, but going to rameshwara was my dads wish, which i could not fulfil evenafter he passed away and i booked three times and cancelled all the time because my relatives could not come with me.may be its not time yet.🙏🙏🙏

Still not able to fathom how kalbhairav is son of mahakaal.

Also i had heard in some YouTube videos that all the prana’s don’t go away at the same time. Some still remain for almost 4 hrs beyond physical death, like dhananjay. So, the departed soul tries to come back to the body and hence the legs are tied of the dead body.

    3) if the soul just needs human like body to identify itself with then can it just animate any random form similar to human body? Like the one shown in Annabelle/zapatlela movie? I find children sleeping with the big sized human like toys rather scary, not that i had any in my childhood.

      Hi there
      1. think some more on this.
what is ‘time’ ‘kaal’. where is this sense of kaal located.

      2. what is there to gain!
every emotion generates energy. some entities feed on the fear that they generate in others.

      dhananjai remains for some time.
tying the legs could be a cultural thing for some families. its not commonly done.

souls do stick around trying to talk to their relatives etc. but the more satvik souls do not stick around much. max till asti visarjan.

Since D1 Chart shows Physical environment, surroundings etc..

What if 1st House in D1 Chart became 8th House from Moon..?

Is it means own surroundings are problematic to Native’s Moon..?
How can a Native adjust in life with this placement..
How can we suggest adjust in life with change in Behaviour or mindset..

Plz avoid if it’s not worthy question..

It says in some stage of spiritual sadhana
Some sadhaks in spirituality remembers their Last Birth info..
In which stage it happens?any link to activation of particular chakra..
How it would be..(just asking out of curiosity
Don’t want to try for it)

I have heard that those who does sadhana to remember past births through sadhana would die soon..like within 6 months..after they remember it..
    Is it true..

    Sorry any wrong in question..

      Hi there
if an aspirant needs some information from those past lives it will be given to you.
and he will be required to resolve it or use it in his current life situation. it generally causes a lot of trauma so such memories are shown only when the aspirant is capable of controlling his mind and dealing with it.

and no one dies just coz he remembers his past lives. we all do at some level at every point of our existence.

memories are stored in the Ajnya chakra with the jivatma, as is everything else.

but i do not advise remembering past life memories by force.

    Namaste Tejaswiniji,

Thanks for this valuable post🙏🏻 I hope many people read it and stick to following traditional rituals. I want to share some experiences here. Just minutes after my dad passed away, I heard him calling my name. Since past several years I don’t think of him much and I have done the tarpan rituals for him every year without fail, he is always there for me in my difficult times and seems to know what I am going through.

A family friend who lived near our house had only daughters. These women with their extra- modern outlook did the last rites of both their parents. This despite their male cousin being present in their house, having come from his native village. Their mother had died few years ago. Since my dad is no more, I had attended the prayer ceremony the women had kept for their mother. A year later their mother appeared in my dream- she seemed lost and in distress and I felt that she was still in this lok. In the dream she spotted me and came after me. I, being a lucid dreamer, escaped. I did not want anything to do with her. Years ago I decided that I want nothing to do with spirits. After reading your posts, I realized it is the right decision. I shared this experience because I want people to realize that women doing last rites of a deceased family member are doing their loved one a great injustice. There is a science behind our traditional rituals. Unfortunately, there are people who think our rituals are mere superstition.

I have a query – I share a great relationship with my Ishta Devata. Will my Ishta Devata be available to me after my death? I deeply desire to continue this relationship on all levels (martya lok, astral, future lives, whatever). I have read your post on loks people go to after their death. But it is not enough for me to just spend some time with my Ishta Devata in a deva lok. I want my Ishta Devata with me always, in all dimensions, in all lifetimes.

Does a retrograde planet means, soul has previously suffered and got attached to some kind of desire in martyalok before going in to pitrulok? What is your view on it? Also how can we check from the chart if a person’s soul has suffered from some time before going to pitrulok?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
The entire horoscope is a chart of attachments snd desires. In my opinion having at least one Retrograde planet in the chart allows fr a retrospective nature. The person thinks twice before getting into things.

      I do not know.

    Pranaams Tejaswini ji,

It has been a roller coaster ride since I started reading your blogs and applied the suggestions in my daily life.

I had started the dhyan from Deepavali last year, as per my previous post. Since then, through blessings of Devi, I have become pregnant for my second child. I have been following your advice as given in your posts on pregnancy. It has been smooth till now due to blessings of Shri Devi.

However, my query seems pertinent to this post, hence the question. I have searched though your blogs, but haven’t found any posts on this yet.

My due date is given as Bhadrapada Amavasya (Mahalaya Amavasya) this year.
Can you shed some light on Amavasya births? It seems to me that the soul born on any Amavasya, especially Bhadrapada one is having heavy karmic backlog to work though and has chosen a difficult path both materially and spiritually.
People born on amavasya are much maligned astrologically, especially boys. Girl children are said to be unlucky for their parents’ house.

I myself am born on Vaishakha amavasya, and have experienced the above to certain degree.

I would like to hear more from you on the above, if possible.

Heartfelt gratitude to you for all the wisdom you are sharing with us on this platform, many many thanks.

      Hi there
i wouldn’t say a ‘heavy karmic backlog’ as that would depend on the entire chart.

however as Amavasya is the strongest tithi, people born on this lunar day are markedly different from the others.
they process emotions, astral etc everything differently. and if they get the appropriate guidance and from their early life then they can be extraordinary individuals.

if you wish, you can request the Devi to bring the baby on the tithi most suitable for it, and leave it in her hands.

Ma’am, have you written about tithis?

How can we know which tithi is the strongest and weakest…..its repurcussion, pattern amongst individuals?

For ex. I see a Shukla Paksha Saptami person being more materially and mentally unhappy, bringing issues for family than a krishna paksh tritiya born.

How important is prediction via titihu

and do your own nitya karma and other anushthans as per our vedic calender.

Hello Ma’am, interesting post. I was in Rishikesh yesterday, was missing my old home, Benaras – the aura of ghats, spiritual energies in the galis and observing the end of life at Manikarnika and Harishchandra ghat.

To not offend readers and believers here, Rishikesh and above didn’t do the trick for me. I didn’t feel close to Ganges and Shivji. Just not the same energy and while on my way back …..wondering……I come across this post!

Now I know, why the energy is so dense in Benaras. I only Saw people celebrating life, birth rituals and happiness from Har ki Pauri till Neelkanth Mahadev and beyond in the Shivalik range.

Shivling w.r.t 9th sign i.e. Saggitarius, natural 9th house is in benaras. I want you to please throw some light on the stated.

There is so much anxiety in people waiting for death in benaras, who have relocated, just for this…..yet we call it the best place to spiritually be at.

If Shamshaan has such high occult energies, women or children cannot bear it…..how were we or residents of this city able to visit these ghats and sit there undisturbed (who choose to), watching infinite anteshyeti process take place. How exactly does watching someone leave (which is a good thing, karma done, back to origin) be harmful?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there

Kashi cannot be compared to any other place in this world. It is a very different energy. The ghats, the major temples, samadhis, dhunis which were established by our Rishis here.

The physical Kashi resonates with the Mahashmashan at the Ajnya chakra. This is the real meaning of the saying that Bhagwan has established Kashi on his Trishool. One needs to take hundreds of births to understand the power that Shri Kshetra Kashi really is.

Unfortunately I have seen that people who live in high energy locations forget where they are. And then they pay the price. Any positive action you do here is magnified. And so also any negative you do here, eg something minor as a small lie, is also magnified.

      Do not underestimate Rishikesh.
Each has his own experience in life. Maybe you were not required to experience this land’s energy.
The Devi Ganga literally speaks to her devotees here.
And there is a very intense Mahashmashan in Rishikesh too.
Unfortunately the city has built a walk on the river which passes right through the Shamshan Bhoomi. And people are just walking or jogging thru the shmashan, without thinking on where they are.
Once I saw a group of young men having a Snan at the shmashan ghat and then drying their clothes on a nearby Anteyshti Agni! A family with women and children having a Snan at 5ft away from an Agni. And they have paid a price for all this of which they are as yet unaware.

I do not know what you mean by this Q.
Obviously Bhagwan Vishveshvar is there in Kashi.

Waiting for physical death is a morbid mindset. Extremely morbid and undesirable. i do not like thes sort of fatalistic minds. i think this to be a waste of precious opportunity.

if someone knows that the 8th house is soon going to do its job then its his duty to do even more sadhana, to make his mind even more firm, to center it and focus. so that when the exit point come the jivatma should be able to choose a higher nadi to exit.

Even if you live in Kashi and go to the Shmashan there, you are required to pay the price to the Shmashan devata. This transaction is linked to the Shmashan vairagya which gets triggered as a side effect.
Everyone who goes there has to pay, and sometimes this price becomes very dangerous.
I have suggested that you give a few coins but that is just the physical part. The Shmashan extracts a heavy price. And the price is determined by the Shmashan, not you.
(Eg of Harishchandra as the shamshan pal who asks for money from his own wife for performing Anteysthi of his son. There is lot to understand from this story.)

That is why you should go there only if you are required to for the Anteyshti of someone you know or by Guru ajnya. I have mentioned this in the post.

It is a city in itself, it has its own very strict rules.

And it is a gate to something beyond this dimension of the living. Sometimes the jivatma who is required to go through, resists and instead tries to find someone to use, to finish his pending desires. And sometimes, some beings from elsewhere come in here and they too want to find someone to use, exchange, bargain with.

Would you want to actively trigger the energy of your 8th house by choice?
If you are a practitioner who knows what to do with them then, yes. But otherwise, the answer should be no.

Women and small children should not go here. I have given the reason in the post. These two groups are more ruled by the Moon. (Think for yourself, what all is represented by the Moon). If they lose their emotional stability at a critical moment inside this land then it can get very typical. I would not advise women, children or even overly emotional men to go here.

However as in everything else, you have the choice of action. If you want to go, it is your thing and only yours.

I don’t live together with my MIL, I had found her unbearable and too intrusive for my mind’s sanity. But I always had this guilt and seeing her sadness, I tried to make a point that she feels satisfied by visiting often and offering her my love the way I can give after my daughter was born. Then only I could associate with different personality type. My MIL is so angry inside that she doesn’t accept anything yet somewhere she knows I don’t mean harm. She is more inclined to her other son always who is little lesser endowed.
When she sees my success or my kid’s success she get jealous to the point that my thing/ project/ career gets ruined. I have been bearing her brunt since 14 years and lost a lot of my confidence and energy on her. Yesterday my daughter lost a competition where she was sure of winning. She felt jealousy of her daadi stopping her.

What can I do, whatever I tried to give my mother in law she passes it on to other daughter in law or rejects it. If she hears or sees us doing well, she blocks us badly. What can I do to stop this cycle. I asked my husband to start talking to her mother every week so that we can finish this karma this lofetime. We both aren’t regular talkers to anyone!

My husbands moon is in 12th house of saggitarius with sun and Mars, Venus is in 7th house of libra in lagna kundali. moon is with Mars in 6th house of Virgo navamsha, Venus is with ketu in Gemini navamsha.

I planned to go to Kashi, to get rid of our anscesteral debt by taking dip in Ganga with whole family. I intend to take my MIL along so she can go too but I know she ll reject it and rather block our good karma of the visit. I feel stuck and very angry and at the same time. Don’t know if it my old debt to be repaid or she is taking advantage of being higher in energy. Should I just surrender or let things be since my husband says I can’t talk to her about it since it ll only make things worse.

I can I ease situation and pay my previous karma, put stoppage to her starting new karma

      Hi there
I get this sort of queries often.
where the MIL does not approve of the DIL and is mildly or hyperly critical of her and her household. in some cases the MIL behaves badly towards her own son and grandchildren.
and i have seen cases the other way round too. where the DIL was behaving badly towards her in-laws and also her own husband/ children.

if you are sure in your deepest heart that you have tried everything you could from your side and your husband is also sure, ie if both your consciences are clear on this then it would be best if you stop trying to please her all the time. one cannot please everyone. it is impossible. Especially if by doing so, you are creating sadness and negativity in your own household, then use your common sense and be pragmatic about it.
limit interactions to a level where you, your husband and children are ok with it.
your responsibility is first towards your own self, then your children, then your husband and only then your in-laws.

if she prefers living with her other son, it is her choice and let it be.
but if there is any problem eg if she needs some financial support, medical help etc then it would be your duty as a son/DIL to be there.
otherwise, you should not go overboard with things.

your husband’s Moon in the 12th indicates that he did not have a very happy relationship with his mother. so why do you want to force him to talk to her against his will? esp if it is making him so unhappy.

there is no need to take her along to pilgrimages esp as she herself is not interested. going to a pilgrimage is not as simple as buying tickets and booking hotels. the deity must allow you to come to him. and this is possible only if the 9th house supports.
and when you as an individual go on a pilgrimage, then, not just you, but your entire family, mother, father, MIL FIL cousins etc all benefit. Further your Kuldevata, Ishtadevata etc also become very very pleased with you and give you blessings.

        Hi there
do not overthink. use your common sense.
like i said earlier, the priority is always first for the self, then the child, then the spouse and after that everyone else.

what she expects should also be reasonable from your point of view.
Fulfilling unreasonable expectations is not possible for anyone.

in my opinion, most problems between the older generations are caused either one of the following mind-sets –
        1. refusal of the older person to accept that he/ she is not the main doer, karta of the household.
        ie an unwillingness to retire.
the role of the elders in the active daily life has to reduce with age. and they should get more into spiritual pursuits etc.
(but this does not mean that the elders lose their personal freedom, financial independence etc.)
        2. refusal of the active generation to take responsibility for the older elderly people of the house.
this does not mean that they have to obey everything that the elders say,
but it does mean that they are around to help in case of emergencies, emotional support, medical issues etc.

and this is your personal thing. so sit before your puja ghar, do your bhajan etc for a few mins, a few deep breaths etc and sincerely request your deity to guide you.
the ultimate guide is the conscience, Antaratma, so a few mins before your deity will help you better listen to your own self.
