Jupiter, from 2019 onwards, was either with Saturn or in Saturn’s signs, thus unable to behave in his usual benevolent and expansive manner. We were not able to make full use of the Jupiter in Sagittarius energies because of his close proximity to Saturn. Then Jupiter in Capricorn was anyways debilitated. And his sojourn in Aquarius majorly impacted by Saturn sitting very strongly in Capricorn throughout. Now Jupiter will enter his own Pisces on 13th Apr 2022 and stay here till 22nd Apr 2023. (Saturn too will occupy his own Capricorn/ Aquarius during this period.)

Jupiter is the natural Jiv-karak, ie he sustains life on this earth and his being constrained by the karmic enforcer for all these years has caused several problems for us. Significantly, he has been unable to support the economy, public health and sustain the right frame of mind, ie the core life philosophy at the global levels in this time.

Pisces is the natural 12th house of the zodiac, so the keywords of the sign and the house both can be applied to learn more about this environment. The house of mediative states, dreams, bridges to the astral, losses, isolation, impracticality, illusions, depth, etc. And also the sign of spiritual evolution, intuition, longing for the unknown, etc. One of the most sensitive signs, Pisces is composed of the three Nakshatra, Poorvabhadrapada (Jupiter), Uttarabhadrapada (Saturn) and Revati (Mercury). It also has the Gandant energies.

Interestingly, Jupiter will be literally sprinting through Poorvabhadrapada (planetary movements) and entering Uttarabhadrapada on 28th Apr where he will remain for an ultra long 10 months at n uninterrupted stretch till 24th Feb 2023. Then he will again rush through Revati to enter Ashvini on 22nd Apr 2023. This means that this Pisces transit will be more influenced by Jupiter in Uttarabhadrapada and this is again a lunar mansion linked to Saturn. Again Saturn will continue his subtle effect on Jupiter during this transit. (Saturn has the world affairs firmly in his grip for some time now and shows no signs of relaxing)

Jupiter will be going retrograde from 29th Jul till 24th Nov but he will not change his sign, ie not go back into the previous sign and then return as he was doing in the past few years. This is Jupiter’s new trend and this will continue for the next 3 yrs. So these next few years when Jupiter will be transiting in Pisces, Aries and Taurus will grant stability in all those matters connected to Jupiter and these signs in your birth and transit chart. Try to make the most of this energy in the coming years.

Other planets will be influencing this Jupiter in Pisces transit, modifying his ability to give results.

Jupiter in Pisces technically would have been a very good transit as he owns this rashi, but the time frame where he is fully free to do as he pleases is limited. He is aspected by Saturn, his 3rd aspect from Capricorn for about 6months. I consider the additional aspects of planets to be more effective than the regular 7th aspect (for Mars, Jupiter, Saturn). Jupiter is idealistic, kind, hopeful, benevolent, helpful, expansive etc by nature, while Saturn is realistic, time bound, strict, restrictive, dour etc, somewhat antithetical to Jupiter in temperament so his aspecting Jupiter with his 3rd aspect will tend to give more inauspicious and extreme results. So we can expect somewhat good results from Jupiter from 29th Mar – 12th Jul 2022 and from 17th Jan – 22nd Apr 2023. For the rest of his stay here in Pisces, Saturn will significantly aspect him from Capricorn, hampering his style.

Mars will be in Pisces with Jupiter from 17th May to 27th Jun also affecting Jupiter’s ability to give results. However their combined energies can be used to create and seize opportunities if your birth/ transit chart is supportive. Mars is initiative, confidence, pioneering spirit, desire to compete and win etc so can be usefully paired with Jupiter’s positive qualities to gain some positivity and especially for accomplishing of some daring sort of work related to philosophy, way of life, etc.

There will broadly be two trends in this Jupiter in Pisces transit.

  • One where Jupiter is free to work without Saturn aspecting him. During this time, spiritual activity will increase, in depth study and genuine understanding will increase, there will be an expansion of positive qualities like universal love and hope, help during dream states, extrasensory abilities will be boosted, desire for peace will prevail, etc. imagination, intuition etc will be useful and you might be able to make a few ‘lucky guesses’ during this phase. On the mundane side, rains will be plentiful, flooding is also possible, prices of gold will increase, yellow colored grain etc will be plentiful, etc. Global economy will be boosted briefly.
  • And when he is constrained by Saturn’s restrictive influence. During this time, expect physical deaths, reduced mental clarity, lack of self confidence, impracticality, a desire to escape from responsibilities and procrastinate, overwork and loneliness, lack of sleep, monetary losses and bad investments, ill health caused by allergies and similar ‘sensitivity’ related issues. During this time, the weather will be windy, cyclones, fog and other atmosphere related phenomena will cause damage but actual rain will be less. Economy overall will slow down.

Generally Bharat has an average to good period coming up, we will endure whatever happens. But there will be several trials as enemies try to gang up against us. The national capital and JK UT will face riot like situations and terror attacks for reasons known to all of us. Other major cities will also be targeted but the damage there will be lesser. Our economy will continue to grow, slowly but unstoppably. On the global levels however the economy will suffer. Europe and USA have started on a route of inevitable economic collapse, this may trigger other wars. And the one going on in Ukraine Russia is not going to stop so soon. Overall this Jupiter in Pisces transit will be useful for investing in banks, energy, gold, silver and other precious metals. Always use your common sense and not get carried away by ‘sentiment’ when investing. Long term investments which span this transit will give the best returns. Investing in water related businesses, liquids etc will also be profitable. On the personal levels, avoid over-eating, laziness, sleeping late, over-indulgence in sensuality, drugs/alcohol etc. Try to set up a healthy schedule of waking up before sunrise, exercise, diet etc and stick to it. If you are obese, diabetic, addicted to any substance or over-indulge in fatty / sugary foods etc then health problems are possible in this transit. Avoid loaning money to others. Even if you feel expansive etc do not share your personal details/ feelings etc excessively with others especially on social media. (I have written separate posts on the yearly 2022-23 predictions, here)

Jupiter will be in Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra for a continuous period of about 10 months. Uttarabhadrapada is ruled by the nakshatra devata Ahirbudhnya, ‘the serpentine consciousness which arises from unfathomable depths’. It is linked to Saturn and is represented by 2 stars which are considered to be the rear two legs of a funeral bed. Uttarabhadrapada is a Devbhasha Samskrutam word which means ‘the auspicious stage which comes later’.

People will be required to become more flexible and adapt themselves to fast changing scenarios but this will be difficult. Sleep and rest may be reduced as work and stress increase. Lethargy and laziness will increase. Everyone will keep their true motives and actions secret but being calculative is good only to some extent. Some will try to postpone taking hard decisions and this will lead to trouble. There will be physical exits of several during this time, but these will be a part of karma balanced. Mediation and guidance during dream states will be available for some of us. Some will gain money, spirituality, a new life philosophy etc and achieve their life goals. Research, occult, construction etc type of activities will be fruitful. Earthquakes and volcanic activity is expected. Destruction will occur but as a part of a larger purpose. The month of Bhadrapad will be significant in some way during this transit. The larger lesson here is synthesising the power of Saturn and Jupiter together in a sensible way for self-evolution. These are the two farthest planets, the two largest ones, the two in-charge of the last four signs of the zodiac, the two linked to the lowest most Swadhishthan Mooladhar chakras, etc. If they can be harnessed, they can lead to true wisdom.

The Jupiter in Pisces transit results for the individual signs. These are generic readings which will have to be modified as per your birth chart details. These are based on your birth Moon sign, as the Moon determines the timing and fructification of karma. But if your Ascendant sign is strong, then you can blend the results to gain a better picture of what is expected.

  • eg. if your ascendant sign is Libra, it will be a physically tiring time. But if your birth Moon is Scorpio, there will be several events which will give you emotional support and might make up for it. And if Scorpio is stronger than Libra in your birth chart (easiest way is to compare the scores of the Ashtakvarga table for these signs) then it may overall be a good time.
  • (I am factoring in the Saturn transit in Capricorn /Aquarius as it is a very significant change and will have an overriding effect on Jupiter’s activities. Also Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra is linked to Saturn.)

Aries – This is an unfavourable transit, be careful. Jupiter may grant wealth etc if he is well placed in the birth chart but coupled with an undefined sadness and a tendency to commit immoral or unethical acts. There is a possibility of humiliation, loss of job or residence, breakdown in relationships etc. Enemies will be active and you will not be able to effectively tackle things. Health may be affected and a longterm illness may start during this transit. Avoid getting into short term affairs as they will cause loss of reputation. Keep some resources available in case of emergencies. Saturn in Capricorn will be bad. Saturn in Aquarius phase will be better, so make use of this time to consolidate.

Taurus – Jupiter is quite favourable as he will grant gains from several sources, wealth and money will increase. Your physical and emotional health will recover and you will feel good from the inside. Friends, family etc will support you, personal life will be on a high. Professional success will be with you, promotions are possible. This is a good time so use it well. Whatever you had planned for yourself will fructify during this transit. So use your mind, your skills, your networks etc to search for opportunities, they are all right within your grasp. Use the power of the 11th Jupiter to propel yourself onwards.

Gemini – Generally Jupiter transiting in the 10th house gives overwork. But still this can be a productive transit if you can positively make use of the opportunities which come your way. You will have to work in a realistic and practical manner in your office. Stress and later illness caused by additional responsibilities is a possibility. A side effect of this is that you will neglect the spouse, children and the home which will cause long term problems. Health of the father may be an issue during this transit.

Cancer – Jupiter will help you in several unexpected ways as your luck, the blessings of your deity/ancestors and your Poorva-punya is on your side. Family, peers, patrons, seniors etc will be supportive and you will be happy. Relationships will be good. Professionals will see a growth in the career. Students will succeed in their exams etc. Money flow will be adequate, however it is always best to budget and invest sensibly. Profession will see successes. Whatever you have wished for, the energy of this time will make it happen for you. So be careful about what you wish for. Overall transit is good, make good use of this time.

Leo – This is not a good transit as he can create long term aliments, grief and hardships. Expect stresses in your professional and personal life as your interpersonal relationships with your boss, parents, spouse, children, relatives, neighbours etc get strained. Do not trust others more than necessary as you may face humiliation or losses in the future. Do not ignore issues as they erupt, else they will soon become unmanageable. Especially if you are obese or diabetic or suffering from ‘expanding’ type of illness you should be careful. Jupiter in the 8th house can also function as a Marak, depending on the individual charts. Saturn in Capricorn phase will be better for you.

Virgo – Times have finally changed for you, Jupiter is favourable and he will grant pleasure. Focus on the Jupiter related things as per your birth chart, these will grant you growth. Generally Jupiter in the 7th from the birth Moon sign is very auspicious in all ways, so expect marriages, birth of children, increase in wealth, better health, positivity and emotional support, increase in overall profits, professional success, improvement in relationships etc. Here you have the choice of doing things your way and succeeding. So use your intellect, imagination, ingenuity, skill, abilities etc effectively to materialise what you really dream of. This transit can give you want you really want to complete yourself. Saturn in Aquarius phase will be significantly better for you, so use it well.

8e260e442bae10552fb7f922c1bf47cbwww.psychologicallyastrology.com

Libra – There will be stress both at home and in the office. Especially expect intense quarrels with the wife, the boss and business partners, legal issues are likely. Ill health is possible especially diseases of the nerves, abdomen and ‘overheating’ type of diseases. Enemies will be active against you. Avoid taking debts during this time, also avoid speculation and hasty investments. Trusting the wrong person during this time will cause unending problems for you. If you expect anything to go right for you, most likely it will go wrong during this time. However internal spirituality will increase, you will use philosophy to make sense of what is happening to you during this time. Saturn in Aquarius phase will be better for you.

Scorpio – as I have reiterated in several pervious posts, Scorpio has a very good time now as all the major planets are favourable. Marriage, improvement in relationships, birth of a child, better health, increase in wealth, successes in education, promotions in profession, good investments, increase in creativity and confidence, timely luck, etc are all possible with Jupiter transiting the 5th from Scorpio. Your enemies will not be able to work against you. If your birth/transit chart is strong then this is one of your best years. Saturn in Capricorn phase will be better but Saturn in Aquarius is still balanced nicely by Jupiter in Pisces. This entire transit is good for you so make the most of it.

Sagittarius – Jupiter in the 4th does have some positivity which you can capitalise on. Your health will improve, some sources of money may become active. You may be required to shift your residence to some place better suited for your profession but away from your loved ones. Do not trust your friends more than necessary. Do not speculate or gamble. There may be separation for your mother, her health may require your attention. Auspicious functions are possible and family members will support your decisions. Students and professionals will do well. Avoid rash driving. Self discipline is always the best option. Saturn in Aquarius phase will be good for you, make the most of it. Saturn in Capricorn will be a return of the Sade sati energy which will drain you, so be extra careful during this time.

Capricorn – The major planets are not favourable so trying times will continue. Health might be affected so do not ignore any symptoms. Issues at the work will erupt which may affect your finances. There will be uncertainty and issues with your extended family, siblings and teammates, try to remain practical with them. Avoid risky investments. Relationships will see arguments and separations from loved ones. This is a trying transit as in addition to the 3rd Jupiter, the middle and last phases of sade sati will tire you out.

Aquarius – this is a good transit. There will be several opportunities for wealth generation, physical health recovery, emotional recovery and good times with the family. Jupiter is fully supportive and will help you get out of the stress that you were under in the recent past. Education, profession, relationships, marriage, child-birth etc, all aspects of life will show some positivity. Try to create a healthy routine and stick to it. Do not get involved in other people’s affairs or do not lend money etc to others, chances of getting cheated is high. You have to make use of this time, especially when Saturn is in Capricorn to consolidate before your second phase of Sade sati starts with Saturn entering Aquarius.

Pisces – There will be some stress on the physical level, loneliness and weakness is possible. Enemies and rivals will try to make things difficult for you. Try to maintain your relationships on cordial levels. The boss may overload you with work. Create a routine and stick to it. Health can be affected so do not ignore any symptoms. Keep your loved ones close, open up to them. Avoid bad habits, gambling, addictions etc. Be careful about your money as budgeting may be necessary. Not a very good time for new ventures, unless there is support from the birth chart. Reduction in comforts as you will be required to work more. Travelling can be non productive. But if you can manage to do all this with the proper mindset, this transit can give you significant growth. Saturn in Capricorn phase and the time when both Jupiter and Saturn are retrograde together will be good for you, so try to consolidate your gains during this time. Otherwise your time will be average as it is a combination of Sade sati first phase with Janma Jupiter.

If you are an advanced student of Jyotish then you should use the Nakshatra transit and the chakra in fine tuning your predictions..

  • The simplest is the Janma Navtara chakra. This time Jupiter is going to stay in Uttarabhadrapada for almost 10months, so the nakshatra based chakras will give more precise information.
  • The ashtapadmadala chakra gives a more subtle analysis of a personality and can be an enlightening read for the advanced student.
  • (If you really want to master the art of prediction then the Sarvatobhadra chakra is the only one you need to learn in depth.)

Use the Ashtakvarga system for a rapid analysis of the transits. Note the points that Jupiter has in Pisces sign in your Ashtakvarga table. If this is 4 or more then this transit will be more significant for you. Also check the power of Pisces sign, ie if its total point score is 27 or more then it has more potential to influence your life.

If you have a strong birth chart, ie strong birth Moon, ascendant sign/lord, vargottam planets, strong yogkarak, etc then you will be better able to navigate through the inevitable changes in life. Whatever happens, you will somehow retain your position of strength.

If Jupiter is your ascendant lord, ie Sagittarius ascendant or Pisces ascendant or a functional benefic or a functional malefic for your chart or is conjunct significant planets in your birth chart then his transit will be more significant for you.

If Jupiter is transiting over a major birth planet, eg if your ascendant lord is in Pisces in your birth chart then this Jupiter’s Pisces transit will be very significant for you.

Or even if Jupiter strongly aspects a birth chart planet even then he will influence that planet positively. ie at present if you have any planets in Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio then these birth chart planets will benefit from Jupiter’s positivity.

Also if the ongoing Dasha period is of strong and auspicious planets ie ascendant lord, Yogkarak, ruler of the Kendra/Kona etc even then you will be supported and manage to remain positive under testing circumstances. If you are in the Mahadasha of Jupiter or even the Antardasha of Jupiter in another planet’s Mahadasha then this transit will have a stronger effect on you.

The transits are used to fine tune the results promised in the birth chart. ie the the results promised by Pisces sign as per your birth chart have a very good chance of fructifying in this Jupiter transit in Pisces. Or if you have a significant planet in Pisces in your birth chart, then the results that he promises will also be boosted in this time.

Generally Jupiter is favourable in transit in the 2nd 5th 7th 9th 11th houses. So another way of looking at this is whatever is signified by Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio and Aquarius in your birth chart has the capacity to create opportunities.

There are several ways of analysing charts, they are all used to cross check the results you are predicting. The same positive/negative results repeating in at least 3 different analysis patterns indicates that the effect will be strong.

These two months, March and April 2022 will see the transits of Rahu, Ketu, Jupiter and Saturn. The four slow moving graha changing their signs back to back in a very short time span is not a good thing. All the aspects of life which they control in your chart will see significant changes. If the birth chart, ascendant sign/lord and birth Moon are powerful then you will be able to adjust to this rapid change, else there will be stress.

Remedies are as always Daan and Mantra. Refer to the index page or the search bar for posts on these if you wish to read. As a general option it is advisable to perform some Daan or Mantra or at least go to a nav graha temple for worshiping Jupiter, Devguru Bruhaspati, on the day of the transit. The third option for remedies is behavioural changes which are based on an understanding of the chart and its energy dynamics. This is possible only if you have a strong birth chart to begin with and are doing some regular spiritual practice. And you can always do the ‘fun’ remedies of wearing perfumes, colors or eating the foods linked to the particular planet to increase its effect on you.

Namaskaar Ji, thank you for sharing your knowledge, I have been waiting for it.

I have a question regarding the transit, please shed some light.

My Jupiter sits in the 8th House of Taurus

Sagi is in House 3 and Pisces in House 6.

Is this transit going to help my career positively?

    Thank you for your time.

Good Read. Sufficient and very crisp analysis to understand the Jupiter transit and its impact on various ascendants. Although this will differ based on planets configurations from chart to chart.

    Namaste Mam,

I had the opportunity to visit Rishikesh and do a tiny bit of mantra jaap while in the Ganga river on the Yugadi day. Every breath of air felt like magic, so fresh and so refreshing to both the body and the mind. This Jupiter’s transit will be in the 8th house from my Leo Lagna and mainly in my Janma Nakshatra (Uttarabhadra) and still hoping for the best!

Should we not pour the water after the daily Sandhyavandhan into the Tulasi pot? Also, should we not put any Akshate after the Sankalp is over into the Tulasi pot?

    Thank you!

      Hi there
the water is very very dirty on the energy levels, no one should touch it, in case someone does there is a full process for purification.
the men in my family use Gangajal for the sandhyavandanam activities. and it too gets extremely dirty after the process. they pour it in the ground where no one would step in it.

why do you want to put the nirmalya (used water akshata etc) into the tulsi plant pot? put it on some ground where no one will step in it.

Good to read positive news for Scorpio Moon/Rising me 🙂

I had started feeling positive changes sometime in 2019 onward, and then when sade-satti got over in Jan, 2020, but years of extremely turbulent MDs had made me cautious. And everywhere one read about Scorpio, it was just dread all around.

I have retro Jupiter in Sag in 2H opposite Venus in 8H (I read your article about them) and also Saturn in 7H opposite Moon in 1H. Being in Sun MD has been a relief (Sun/Mars in 10H Leo) although Sun has barely any strength.

With these transits I feel a change in my attitude at work. I am more vocal and think I am getting noticed. Fingers-crossed, hope things work out.

Life has just been one coping strategy after another, and there are always unintended consequences to them…just a mess 🙂 but I hear you when you say Scorpios have the best way toward moksh.

    Dearest Tejaswiniji,

Hope all is well with you. I have missed your precious posts. Many, many thanks for this superb post on Jupiter transit🙏🏻♥️ As always, your posts on transits are appreciated much more than words can express🙏🏻 I had been thinking about the Jupiter transit for quite a while. I deeply missed his energy when he was in Capricorn and although he is better in Aquarius (when compared to Capricorn) it is still not the same. I found that using his colour helped to some extent.

You mentioned that “Generally Jupiter is favourable in transit in the 2nd 5th 7th 9th 11th  houses”. Would the transit results be favourable for Pisces Ascendant (In birth chart – Asc lord Jupiter is in 10th house with Rahu with a difference of over 21deg between them)? I am assuming that this transit will be fairly good because Jupiter and Pisces Ashtakvarga results are not bad (5 and 27). Plus Moon in birthchart is good and strong. From what you have written about results on various moon signs, results are favourable. But I was wondering how it will be from ascendant point of view, given that Pisces moon results are not that good. Hence this question. Being a novice student of Jyotish I would like to know what you think about my this small analysis on Jupiter.

    Lots of love and gratitude

      Hi there
in this case yes, it will be good.

janma jupiter ie jupiter over the birth moon is not absolutely bad but it gives very high level of tiredness. you are forced to work, become active, so many things happen at the same time, all the time, that you eventually get exhausted.
but if you pick and choose your work and act intelligently you can eventually get some gain from this transit.

Ultimately it is an interaction of jupiter and moon, it will lead to expansion in some way or the other (you can compare it to some extent with the gajkesari energy)

I think reading that post along with this post would clear the doubts of readers of this blog….if the focus is only on Jupiter. Other aspects from other planets will give more details to the reading.

Although I’d love to get a reading from you like a lot of readers of this blog, you are still helping lots of people through this blog, even though you have stopped doing readings. You and this blog have brought many positive changes in my life for which I am forever grateful 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 Please do keep writing as and when you can take time out of your busy schedule.

        Hi there
I generally put the hyperlinks of all the past connected posts in the new ones.
But i think no one really clicks thru those links.

Single planet transits r relatively easy to analyse. But when it comes to analysing the chart/personality as a whole then it requires some practice. Thts why you must practice/observe ur sample charts.
I recommend the ashtakvarga. Coz the basic table is quite easy to understand even fr beginners. I think that Knowing the power of a sign and the power of a planet in a sign to give results on a numerical scale makes things easier.

      Namaste Tejaswiniji,

I have clicked on links whenever they were given in your reply…. and then realized that I had read the same in the past. But it’s still a good way to refresh my memory, so I re-read the linked post. It is extra work for you to add links in your response. The ‘Search’ tool on the Index page is very good and I have used it a lot in the past and still do. Other readers should also use this tool.

You are so right about using Ashtakvarga for getting an idea about the effects of planets, it is best for beginners. Since I began reading your blog I have become more aware of how a planet is affecting me, it helps me cope with the effects better. And the remedies suggested by you help a lot.

As feedback I wish to let you know that I have been following your advice of praying to my beloved Ishta Devata every night requesting protection (for myself and family) and have not been attacked astrally ever since. I do get a particular kind of dream which tells me when the black magic is done on me…. probably my Higher Self informing me.

Thanks very much once again 🙏🏻

As it is we have tremendous disparity and a population that treats so called celebs like demi gods. If people of Bharat are pouring milk over cut outs of celebs and politicians now, I wonder how it would get when rahu in taurus dasha starts.
There’s a part of me which prays for a fresh start, a fresh chart and a fresh auspicious capital .. After all change is all that is permanent and inevitable, nothing else is🙏

      Hi there
      clarified this in this para

The Jupiter in Pisces transit results for the individual signs. These are generic readings which will have to be modified as per your birth chart details. These are based on your birth Moon sign, as the Moon determines the timing and fructification of karma. But if your Ascendant sign is strong, then you can blend the results to gain a better picture of what is expected.

eg. if your ascendant sign is Libra, it will be a physically tiring time. But if your birth Moon is Scorpio, there will be several events which will give you emotional support and might make up for it. And if Scorpio is stronger than Libra in your birth chart (easiest way is to compare the scores of the Ashtakvarga table for these signs) then it may overall be a good time.

aspects remain same in retrograde Jupiter

the effect of both on each other will be highly enhanced.
and in my opinion it will give good results.
do read the post on guru chandal yog to understand the energy temporarily affecting you and try to use it productively.

    Hello Ma’am,

I am a regular follower of your posts and love reading them. The articles are very knowledgeable and helpful. I was a little disappointed to know that you don’t do individual readings anymore. With your amazingly vast knowledge, you could help so many people genuinely in need 🙂

I have a question regarding the nakshatras. With Jupiter in Saturn’s nakshatra Uttarabhadrapada for most of the year, you mentioned that Jupiter’s ability to do fully as he pleases will be limited by Saturn. As per your earlier post, Saturn himself will be in Dhanishtha nakshatra ruled by Mars for most of the year. In that case, wouldn’t Saturn’s ability to give results itself be affected by Mars? Will that affect Jupiter in any way considering that Mars and Jupiter are friends? Would this be in any way helpful for Aries/Scorpio ascendants?

Most of us have been going through such tough times especially since the beginning of Covid and things don’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. Hoping for better days soon! 🙂

    Thanks and Regards,
    Teja

      Hi there
even now i am ‘helping’ people, the type of help has changed its form. and the type of people who are being helped too. earlier those with good 9th houses would be helped. but now those who have a good Dharma trikon as a whole will be helped by this blog that i am writing.
as long as one is alive on this earth one must help others but as much as karma allows.

      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2022/02/13/saturn-transits-in-dhanishtha-nakshatra-2022-23/

yes, Saturn will be subtly influenced by Mars. i have covered the basic concepts in this post above and if you have been able to sense it the undercurrent of this post is Mars. see the images i have used in that post.
now if you are an advanced student or have trained yourself to generally observe patterns in the life/situations unfolding around you, then do analyse what happens to the Saturn-related things when Mars goes retrograde later this year. the things will be very evident.
that time will be an opportunity for students to observe how planets interact on so many levels.

i would not make such a long chain of mars-saturn saturn-jupiter coz the effects will not be very significant.
The effects of the nakshatra are more on the subtle levels. Most people are not so aware of themselves tht they will recognise the effect of the nakshatra level energy.
but in my blog i make it a point to mention them because they are necessary learning fr a Jyotishi.

I have Jupiter & Saturn in 3rd house, Cancer Lagna and kumbha rashi, shatbhisha pada 4. Rahu in 1st & Ketu in 7 with Mars, Merc. Moon in 8th house,. Rest all houses are blank. Mercury mahadasha started in 2017 sept. Currently going though sade satti, so I am not sure when the stress in my life will be reduced.

Anyway, I am not sure for which planet shall I look for in the post ? Cancer lagna or kumbha rashi?

Wanted to make some suggestions ….whenever you have time, of course.

    1. It will be marvellous to see some posts on book reviews/ book recommendations.

    2. Also noticed many readers on your blog’s comments section with an interest and inclination towards Advaita Vedanta. It would be a great idea, if possible, to have a suggested scheme of study of Vedantic texts like Atma Bodh, Vivekachoodamani…and the Upanishads which you have mentioned in the replies. Like many seekers out there, I have been blessed with exposure to a systematic scheme of study. I wish that for others too and I’m sure many of your readers would want a reference point in this sacred blog of yours.

Maybe this is a Jupiter Transit comment….😊

    Wishing everyone a blessed time!

      Hi there

i have written a bit about the books/authors fr Jyotish here

      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/books/

and fr Vedant the first upanishad that one should read is Isha. and read it again and again for 2-3 months at least.
if you do not understand try to re-read. try to find the meanings of the individual words in sanskrit. read one shlok a day and think on it, let its energy enter your soul. try to look at the concept presented in it as an integrated whole. try to feel that experience in your day to day life.
only when you feel that your foundation is firm then go on to the next.

      https://shlokam.org/isha/ is a good site

after Isha, the next in sequence are Kena, Katha, Prashna, Mundaka, Mandukya, Taitreya, Aitreya, Chhandogya and the last is the Bruhadaranyak and its is actually very huge, bruhat. so sublime so beautiful, but not recommended fr beginners, you will end up with a headache.
so do not deviate from the sequence.. take 2-3 months at least over each upanishad. let the concepts and the related experiences flow in.

reading the vedant requires huge levels of Vivek and Vairagya both. if either of the two is missing you will not be able to make sense of it.

Sincere thanks for this precious post and we are really grateful to you for your time and amazing writing for teaching us..

Madam, I had a small question on Moon transit, down south, I keep hearing that when Moon is transiting in the 8th from birth moon ( chandrashtama) one should not perform any auspicious activities and not even go to temples, but I wanted to go to a temple to strengthen myself internally during a difficult transit, I am confused .. Dont know what is the correct thing to do..

Kindly ignore my query if it is too trivial Madam… I thank you again for all the posts.
    Sincere regards,

      Hi there
i go to temples and also do pujas etc whenever i want to. i am clear on what i am doing and why. and in every temple/deity/puja /everything i see my Guru/Parameshwar.

Personally i have not heard of a rule where people do not do pujas/go to temples on chandrashthama. on the contrary on these days if you go to temple/do pujas etc the negative effect on the mind will be reduced.

anyways, any ‘rules’ are only for those who follow Karma – not for those who are stable in Jnyan-nishtha.
that is why reading and understanding the Vedant is necessary.

Thank you so much for your insights and beautiful writing as always. Like I’ve remarked before, it always feels reassuring when I read your writing, even your warnings to be careful during a certain period. It feels reassuring and spiritual, rather than predictive, if you know what I mean 🙂

Question about interpreting weakness / strength of natal chart in the context of transits (taking Jupiter/Saturn here as the example). In my Cancer ASC / Scorpio Moon chart for example, my Saturn (in Virgo) is as strong or stronger than my Jupiter (in Libra). The Ashtakavarga score for Saturn in both Capricorn & Aquarius is high (6), while the score for Jupiter in Pisces is neutral (4). Does this mean Saturn will have more influence than Jupiter, but will this influence be purely negative or a mix?

And theoretically speaking, what does one do in such a case? Do practices to even further increase the effect of Saturn to try to highlight its positive effects? Or focus on strengthening the good effects of Jupiter which is weaker?

    Thank you so much!

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
a high AV score in the transit sign means that the transit will be significant and you will get opportunities to perform, use this time well. and if the overall sign too has a score of above 27 then it means that the effect of the sign is positive on you.

no. it does not mean like that.
      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2021/10/03/the-different-techniques-of-jyotish/

one simply acts as necessary in the life situations. but this changes with the planets who influence your actions.
      something like this.
jupiter will make you want to philosophise, try to find the solution which will work the best for everyone,
mars will make you want to fight back, conquer
Mercury will give his logic and help you come to a solution which is superficially satisfying and will work at that time
venus will make you choose the best balanced option, a bargain
saturn will make you choose the best option as per the rules/norms in force
moon will make you choose the most emotionally satisfying option
sun will make you choose the option which gives you the best benefit on the personal level.

      and generally,
you should fortify the planets who are rulers of your kendra/kona
and try to give daan of the planets who are incharge of your dusham.
here try to reinforce your 9th house things. it will automatically percolate into the rest of the chart.
but do some personal sadhana too, give saturn an outlet to use his energy of the 8th house, else he will break your physical body.

If the above conjunction occurs in 1 st house- outer personality would be affected by 1,5,9 conjunction. ?
If in 5 th house, purv punya has bigger say than free will and might help in mantra sadhana ?
If in 9 th house, bhagya helped by this conjunction and, more dharmic outlook in general?
Along with each trikon Lord being in its own trikon further strengthened depending on 1,5,9 position.

Navamsa lagna as well and combine effects of all together ?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
no, do not count from navamsha lagna in the birth D1 chart.

and if you are a beginner then do not apply transits to navamsha charts. it will complicate and confuse.
Stick to counting from the birth Moon and asc sign.

but if you are an advanced student then read CS Patels book on navamsha analysis. so very many techniques given which can be used to fine tune your predictions.

  24. macahemp Avatar

Mam, may I ask another question please? This is related to your Rahu Ketu posts, and I’m particularly interested because I’m turning 40 in April/May, Rahu-Ketu change signs at this time, and it feels intuitively like the right time to understand natal & transit patterns better to plan the second half of my life.

Mam, my Rahu / Ketu in lagna chart are in 12th house Gemini (Rahu) and 6th house Sagittarius (Ketu), while in my navamsha they are in 6th house Aries (Rahu) and 12th house Libra (Ketu). They are all alone in these houses, except that Ketu is with Venus in Libra in my navamsha, and I’m also in my Venus mahadasha.

What would be the best ways to use these energies given the current transit? Should I focus on Rahu energies or Ketu energies? My tendency is Ketu (disinterested, reclusive, focused on philosophy and home, very similar to your post on a “disinterested Cancer lagna”) but perhaps I should utilise Rahu more as it’s moving into my tenth house of career?

    Thank you so much 🙂

do consult your regular astrologer for personalised readings.

Rahu and Ketu both have to be strong in order to achieve things in life. you cannot focus on only one of them, after all they are two parts of a single entity. if you ignore either one of them it will create an imbalance in life.

    Dear Tejaswinima’m,
Many thanks for this most insightful predictional post ! I am an Aquarius ascendant and my Moon (sixth house lord of rina, ripu, rog) is in the second house (in Pisces) of savings and gains and is aspected by Saturn (12th house Lord of losses). While I connecting with the earlier articles on Guru’s expanding nature, sixth house lord etc., it came to my mind that Jupiter transiting in Pisces will “expand” the attributes of the natal planet ? Moon owns sixth dushamsthana and is aspected by saturn, the karaka of loss, and since I am also running Moon Mahadasha-Saturn Antardasha, I am interpreting prediction for Pisces to be extra, ultra careful for losses, diseases, family discords and savings because this transit will exacerbate the “loss” theme for my second house. More so than what you have mentioned as above. Is this interpretation fair? Please pardon me for asking a mundane question, but I have been already experiencing this since 2013 (Ashtam Shani) and quite at my wit’s end.

    Gratitude as always,
    Hema

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
its not a very good interpretation as you are scaring yourself rather than feeling enabled.

Aq asc and saturn as asc lord entering the asc sign should give opportunities in life.
however he can cause physical drain/exhaustion unless you have a plan in place.

sade sati has begun so the mental tiredness will start. overwork is the motif.

moon in 2nd house is generally a good position, even if he is the owner of the 6th. 6th in short means to ‘serve or suffer’. so choose your ‘service’ requirements sensibly.
jupiter will support this moon as long as he is in pisces.

i anticipate a tiring time for you caused by overwork, lots of responsibilities, social activities, family responsibilities, professional commitments and lack of rest.
but if you can manage your schedule, this period can give you significant gains too. you will emerge as a more balanced, more mature and a more respected person. Saturn after all is the asc lord, he cannot cause severe damage. he will give you all your gains if you have worked for them.
      use your time intelligently.

“Choosing my service wisely” is what I will sincerely do for the time to come… it was so enlightening to read it and I cannot tell you in words how peaceful I felt.

Last few years, it was about correcting my wrongs with respect to my father by serving him. This time onwards I will serve my deities, energies and paramatma through various means as mentioned by you in this blog.

I was really worried about these transits and sade saati because many of my planets are interchangeably placed in the nakshatras whose Padas are ruled by contrarian planets like Saturn, Mars, Rahu, Ketu. e.g. Jupiter in the asc Aquarius in Shatataraka (Rahu/Sat), Moon in second house in Revati – Pada 2 ruled by Saturn (inimical), Mars Rahu closely conjunct in Anuradha Pada 4 ruled by Saturn (inimical), while Saturn in 5th in Punarvasu Pada 1 falling in Aries Navmasha ruled by Mars (inimical) and in 6-8 Axis with Mars in 10th house !!!
Sun Mercury combust in 11th house in Moola (Ketu) !!!
I am just trying to decipher the interplay of these karmic planets in my patrika who are opposing forces, and thanks to this blog I got a major direction and reassurance in my life !

M’am this brings me to one query related to numbers. I have always- by some strange fate- been staying in the houses with house number totaling 4,7 and 8 i.e. rules by Rahu, Ketu and Saturn. And have been in trouble/unhappy. Ketu also occupies 4th house in my horoscope. My future small flat getting ready is also 8 number (oversight while booking). Is this coincidence some karmic tie, because numbers reverberates with a related planetary frequency? Should I do something about it or avoid certain numbers? And now that my new place will also have number 8 (1205), is there no remedy for it ? How to go about all this?

        Much gratitude,

    Hello ma’am,

I came across an evolved chart. Analysing it was altogether different experience. The person was enjoying material life but yet disinterested; priorities were completely different and had no longing for material things.

Sagittarius ascendant, 5 planets in lagna including 9th lord sun. Sun is favorable, auspicious and well placed.

Stronger and auspicious planet is lesser the planet’s negative traits. But this guy had an ego. And it was at such a subtle level that common man couldn’t even see it! How come detachment is possible with ego? How can sun give ego? Can I still say sun is auspicious? I have realised that sun has to be strong for evolved soul but I am not getting this…..

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
Sun gives very intense and very subtle ego.
He is the regal royal and his test is the most typical. He is detached frm the ‘common public’ but deeply absorbed in his own self. But this is generally the sense of ‘individual self’ the jivatma. Rarely it evolves into the sense of paramatma. So if ur desire to know urself so strong tht you are prepared to subsume ur sense of individual ego into the Eternal Self then this sun will give his real gift.

My question is about the 7th house. If 7th house is damaged (Eg, presence of malefics, combust Mars & Badhakesh in swakshetra in 7th house, 6th Lord in 7th house), is it better to avoid marriage completely, even if Ascendant and Moon are fairly good? If such a person gets a marriage proposal, even with horoscope matching, is it better to avoid getting married?

I am asking you this question because of your vast experience and I appreciate your spiritual perspective about such a problem.

Please do know that your answer is for my personal knowledge only. I am not doing any readings for anyone nor intend to do so in future. Dear Viju Ji,
Thanks for your reply. Yes this is what exactly has happened with me. Although I am not no. 4 or 8 person, my horoscope is heavily influenced by saturn with him being an Asc lord and 12th house lord, aspecting 4 planets including luminaries, having 6-8 axis with Mars Rahu and influencer of some key nakshatras. And yes,my father was no.8 person and many more 4 and 8s in my life. Significant events on these numbers, but 60% sad especially falling in 4 number ! Same pattern.
    Warm Regards,
    Hema

    Dear Tejaswini,
    Hari Om!

    Wanted to share something interesting.

Recently, I was listening to a talk on BV Ramanji on Youtube…it was benedictory talk on BV Ramanji’s birth centenary by a renowned Pujya Swami.

There was an interesting observation made by the Pujya Swami..that “there are astrologers and astrologists”. The former being a professional vocation and the latter who does not read charts as a profession but studies astrology for the simple love of the celestial stars…a way of connecting to the deep science, a divine field of knowledge revealing the Divine in so many ways. BV Ramanji’s work was particularly mentioned as a blessing to the latter in this talk.

    This really resonated with me.

Jyotish has blessed my life in practical and mystical ways…..Jupiter and Venus conjunction is coming up at the end of the month..so I re-read your posts on Daityaguru and Devaguru. Instead of being planets, all I can see is Daityaguru Shukracharya and Devaguru Brihaspati in such a real way…..like a presence in the skies watching over us.

Tuning into the Navagraha and the momentum of their energies is an amazing sadhana.

Every time there is a transit or an event…this is what I am always up to….I seek the planet out in your blog and they become alive…fully present….fully aware…fully benevolent in one way or the other.

I think many of your readers may be like me…the happy astrologist category. 🙏

    Have a good weekend!

    Warm regards,
    Vishakha

      Hi there
If you do ur pujas etc sincerely then they just might give you their darshan. Visualised in human form they actually look like divine handsome men wearing gold and gems, silk dhoti and angavastra of their chosen colors, even their skin/aura shows the tint if their colors. very aware conscience Intelligent..
they are not just those ‘planets’ tht we see spinning in the skies.
      They are Bhagwan / Dev

Mam , question of different aspects it’s possible ketu gets combust with sun if it is very close within 3 degrees in Leo ? As per as i know ketu has no head & rahu has hence only rahu engulfs sun rather than ketu & how that sun ketu possibly do for Scorpio , Leo & Aries ascendant people as for them sun is very important planet? Thanks in advance 🙏

      Hi there
do read more posts from my blog, use the index page to locate the post you wish to read.
your questions are a bit incomprehensible.

      but in brief,
      1. Only the 5 tara graha get combust
      2. if Rahu Ketu get too close to the Sun/Moon they eclipse the luminaries. And both Rahu and Ketu are capable of causing eclipses.
      3. Rahu and Ketu do not have aspects.
      4. Sun is important for everyone and not just fr these 3 ascendant people.
