Tie a black thread as a shield

There was a question and I felt that a small post on this would be useful. You can charge a black thread with intention and tie it on your body. It is a sort of an amulet. This is how you do it.

  • You will need about 1m black thread. Choose one which is neither too thick or too thin and can be knotted securely.
  • Do this on an amavasya (ie a no moon day) or any Tuesday or Saturday is also acceptable.
  • Do this after you get ready in the morning. Sit in front of your deity, light a deepak, incense etc, do your daily puja as per your schedule. Specifically pray to your deity for protection.
  • Then hold the thread in your hand, intend that your deity will now protect you with this thread.
  • Mentally recite the Durga Saptashloki from the Devi Mahatmya. There are 7 shloks in this.

If you cannot recite it then you can also listen to it. But do try to learn it, just 7 lines, and is very useful.

  • With every shlok you recite, tie 1 knot randomly into your thread so as you finish reciting there will be 7 knots in total on the thread.
  • Blow on the thread and visualise the energy of the Durga Saptashloki mantra entering the thread.
  • Hold it in your cupped hand, focus on the Devi Chamunda for a bit.
  • Your thread is ready. Tie this thread on your (or your loved one’s) right ankle or wrist or around the neck.
  • Wrap it a few times on the wrist/ankle and fasten it using three knots.

I recommend the Durga Saptashloki because it carries the power of the entire Devi Mahatmya. It is also the easiest way to protect yourself. You invoke the Devi Chamunda in her fiercest aspect to protect you. In addition to wearing this thread, if you can recite the Saptashloki daily or at least on every Tuesday and Saturday, it will make your shield more powerful.

If you have faith on some other mantra to protect you, then you can use it. But be very clear on what mantra you are using. It should be in Sanskrit and from some standard reference book. However the procedure for charging and tying it remains the same. Recite the mantra in your mind and for every shlok tie a knot on your thread intending that its energy enters the thread and remains there as a knot.

This thread will need to be replaced in about 3 to 6 months depending on the intensity of the evil eye that might attack you. This is how to do it. First prepare a new thread as above and tie it on your wrist/ ankle/ neck. Then use scissors to cut off the old thread. Dispose the old thread in running water or under some green trees where generally no one will step on it.

    Maam,
    Very practically useful article.
I use black threads energized with mantras personally too.
My question for today arose from seeing affect on charts of natives from close family members.
Chart1) traditional brahmin family girl married their neighbors muslim driver and ran away from home. Parents conducted her symbolic funeral.
Chart2) spouse abandoned his wife and children and took off with partner.
Chart3) siblings broken up over property division for several years no communication
Chart4) Son/ daughter abandons old parents outside airport and disappeared for years together.
In above scenarios obviously the dna relation persists but none else. So will they continue to affect each other’s charts as parent child sibling spouse etc for prediction purpose?

      Hi there
      1. its possible to conduct this sort of thing for someone who is still alive. this is generally done by aged persons who do not have the proper heir who can conduct their anteyshthi etc properly.
If this family has done it for their daughter then she has died on all levels for them. no effect on their charts anymore. But in a very sad way, they have helped her. whenver she dies, it will be a burial for her, this has ensured her some energy for her journey to the pitrulok whenever her exit happens.

Mostly in such marriages, where women run away with drivers or vegetable sellers etc I have observed that it is always a case of black magic. And it can be very easily broken. If the parents had some sense they would have consulted a knowledgable tantrik as invoking specifically Devi Varahi can solve these problems.

2 3 4 – they are all still alive and so the connect exists. In case of the offender is a man he can never shake off the responsibility. He has to perform the Anteyshthi tarpan/ pindadan etc for wife, parents and ancestors upto 3 levels at least. Men have a harder life on the energy levels in my opinion.

Ma’am, what happens when woman marries a man against the parents wishes? Both are in Sanatan Dharm.

Is there anything that woman can do to reduce any karmic effect?

This woman can’t talk to her parents as they are unable to accept her husband wholeheartedly and creates negative influence.

        Hi there
legally if the man or woman is above 18yrs of age they can choose their own spouse.
but practically the woman is always more vulnerable after marriage. so the capacity of the man to protect and support the woman and the children remains the prime condition.

as per our Dharma the parents were supposed to find a match for their daughter within 3yrs after puberty. (even 2 generations ago this was at around 15yrs). not necessarily get her married off rightaway, even an engagement was enough. if they did not do this then the woman was free to marry whomsoever she choose.

i have seen the most practical solution to this issue in the Sikh families around where i live.
it is always an arranged match. the families are known to each other. the young man and woman most likely know each other as children. they get the engagement done at the age of 21yrs or so. then they both go for higher education, job prospects, business etc. and get married at about 24-25yrs.
i find this the best option. Satisfactory and safe for all. also maintains the social structure.

in this case, if she has genuinely tried to reconcile with them from her side then it is enough.
the parents cannot keep on hanging to their self-ego and put negativity in her life. its negative karma on their part.

    Pranaam Madam,
Thank you so much for the two posts this week. We are really grateful for the very precious insights.

Madam, related to the Durga Saptashloki, I had a very small doubt.. I am thankful to the posts that you posted on activation of Navavarna Mantra and Siddhakunjika stotram.

Should we start reading the Saptashloki only after finishing the 9 lakh repetition of the Navavarna Mantra Madam? (Sorry if the question is incorrect)

      Hi there
the second one got posted by mistake. i was scheduling it for next sunday and it got published immediately.

you can read the saptashloki. Just think on this part very sincerely. and request the Devis help.

if you want to additionally read the siddhakunjika or do a jaap of the navarna it will enhance the power of the saptashloki.

if you dont feel like doing it , dont
every practice should be first acceptable to the mind only then do it.
if you are not comfortable with the Siddhakunjika then what will you do with the Navavarna?

        I am not a Guru

your internal self is your Guru. or think of the SUryadev or Devi Ganga as your Guru or consider your Kuldevata or your favourite deity as your Guru ..

Maam what happens to such peoples chart ? he’s still there post
this ritual some years ago, spends his time in spiritual practices etc.

      Hi there
Obviously he will be there! doing this does not mean that he will die immediately!
it just means that whenever he chooses leaves the body at the end of its longevity, he will have the necessary energy to travel to pitrulok safely.
very rare people can do this for themselves. it requires a powerful Dharma trikon and Moksha trikon. a powerful personality, a understanding of Dharma as well as the power to absorb these hyper energies while still residing in the body.

        Namaste Tejaswiniji,

That was an interesting question from Shala. I remember seeing a video some years back about people who have nobody to do their last rites going to Kashi and staying there. It seems there are people there who do the last rites/ anteyshti traditionally for a fee. Will it help the person if an unrelated male does the last rites?

I had heard of some monks getting their last rites done to symbolise their giving up attachment/ identification with their body and identity. I was surprised to learn that anyone can get his last rites done while still alive. How will this affect the person? Will the energy be still available if the person lives for say 10 years after the last rites are done?

        Thanks.

        Lots of love and gratitude

        Hi there
Sanyasis always do it. They are very clear about their choice. Not everyone can do this. I wrote a couple of posts on ascetics. A powerful Saturn gives them that virakti.

        Fr anteyshti
The closest male relative frm the same gotra.
Fr married woman her husband or closest male frm her husband’s gotra.
        Anyone frm the same gotra.
In none of these are available any male can perform.

We owe hugely to the Chandals they r literally the Gan of the Shmashan devata ie Mahakaal . They r equal to temple pujaris. Unfortunately we do not appreciate them. Most i have seen have immense personal spiritual power. But they themselves do not realise it.
Whenever my husband has to go to the Shmashan fr anteyshthi of people he knows, he makes it a point to give them something in gratitude fr what they do.

    I have a question:

When people die, suppose they were cross with us or fought with us when alive, do they still retain that energy? Do they have an expansive view of a conflict situation after they die since body is not there? Do they automatically support the correct party only?

    Thanks

they do! and i have seen such resentment in some of these. keep on talking, accusing, interfering.

Another question related to the previous one…

In my family a lot of conflicts are on. My father and his brother were at odds. Grandmother sided with the younger brother and stiffly against the father. Now, my uncle died and his wife did not allow my father to participate. Even after my grandmother passes, a similar situation is expected, since she lives with my aunty now.
What can my father do in this situation? It feels like a turmoil because on one side father has obligations towards his mother naturally, but circumstances have created bitterness where they aren’t willing to talk. Both can’t stand each other and my father has cut off from his mother. Very toxic situation.

    what can be done?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
its negative karma on your aunts part. it was your fathers duty to be at his brothers anteyshthi. she stopped him from doing his duty. in future he will be required to perform the anteyshthi for his own mother. if he is physically restrained from doing it then the negative karma will be again your aunts.
if he understands the karmic implications then he should at least do the tarpan/pindadaan as necessary later.
else its their life and their choice, let them make their choices.
you can only counsel and that too only if they ask you.

Maam strictly an observation that i am commenting on. I have worked in one of the biggest hospitals in whose wards hundreds of people either semi comatose, quadriplegic, long term relapse malignancies people were admitted.
And I have seen the behavior, attitude, of the family members towards these people.
Most of the time it’s of resentment, fatigue, or just plain fed up can’t take it , can’t put up with this persons illness type.
Perhaps they don’t show it with relatives, but they made no effort of hiding it with medical personnel since we were there 24 /7 dealing with them. Resentment would be so much from own children that they would bang plates out of frustration of having to feed the patient or just keep checking phones continuously even if patient falls when trying to walk waiting for nursing personal to come lift them.
I have gone to attend patient calls at 3 am in the night and would ask the patient attender to help me turn over patient sometimes to check up to which they would reply we are really sleepy pls call nurse.

Most of these ppl must have been doted on, their parent must have vowed to turn world upside down for kids and some years down the line this plays out.
Sort of really puts things in perspective. Because these patients were somebody’s parent, spouse, grandparent. But debilitating illness or long term illness manages to wash out most people’s positive emotions towards that person.
I see this first hand repeatedly day after day.
That’s why when people are healthier and keep declaring how they would live and die for their families and would do anything etc and attach so much importance to so many people, it’s, with a pinch of salt I take it.
Personally I prefer doing my duties as a dharma rather than a kama or future artha, coz so many disappointments await those who go through situations which test relations.
Not saying love and affection is wrong. It’s very important, but to keep affection minus expectations is better. Very few manage to do this.

So so happy today to see the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex inauguration.. As much as it was heart breaking to see remains of 40 broken down temples underground ( but that’s truth of every holy city in India) , this was a beautiful moment. Not to forget Rani Ahilya Bai who made sure this moment could happen now.
Maam i want to know how come such high energy powerful centres like Kashi repeatedly came under destruction and demolition. ? Does the energy not act as a deterrent against marauding demonical forces ?
And maam what about the discussion which goes on about the destroyed plint near Gyanvapi mosque being the holy site versus the lingam at the temple. ? Please clear it for me

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
we owe a great debt of gratitude to Rani Ahilyabai Holkar. Such a charismatic individual with such pure energy. She repaired temples all over the nation right from Kedarnath when travelling, getting materials and the workmen etc would have been so difficult. And she was an able administrator and a good ruler.

i have been to Kashi once. the entire town is pure, no other word. i have a feeling that a moorti or something of high energy could b hidden in an ancient hidden well there. vapi means a well in sanskrit.

so many civilisation which were based on Sanatan Dharma were destroyed in the past couple of thousand years. every civilisation which worshiped deities with multiple arms was based on Sanatan Dharma. Sanskrit words are found in the ruins of every ancient civilisation.

eg china has destroyed so many Tibetian monastries in the past 110 yrs. they follow Mantrayan. what all must be tied inside their monasteries cannot be even imagined. i wont be surprised to see china imploding from the inside in the future. just like those nations who once destroyed the Sanatan Dharma temples.

the problem is not with the deity or his power.
it is with those who were supposed to worship in the temples. its possible that they went woke back then and did some mistake/insult and the deity simply turned his back on them.
just like what we are doing now, messing with with our temples.

Destruction of temples linked to the onset of Kali yug. also a part of the dev-asur sangram.
the asur will do these mistakes and later pay for them. large tracts of land will be cursed. someone pure will be incarnated to help recover them. eg Shri Ram ‘cleaned up’ Dandakaranya.
      again the cycle will continue.
1000 yrs ago the afghani people attacked somnath and kidnapped/sold our women, they never had peace and today see whats going on there. they are selling their own women! one never knows which life/which ancestors mistakes one is paying for.

the martand temple in JK. whose fault was this really? Butshikhan’s? Obviously he demolished it.
but read the rajtarangini to understand at whose door the real fault should lie. if i write it here, it will hurt the emotions of several people unnecessarily.
when the deities abandon a society the real fault is somewhere else. think fr yourself.

In meantime my curiosity made me look up the book and its themes. I think I have a small idea of how it all began and the origin of the fault you have mentioned. I could be wrong 🙂 Hope the karmic debt will be eventually paid.

        Hi there
its the history of Kashmir, the purest land of Bharat. the land of Rishis the Naags and several others. you can choose whichever you like to read.
what i am hinting at is not given in so many words. but once you read it you can understand whose fault it really is.

in very pure lands/plots of lands you cannot do certain things. eg you cannot wear red clothes in a Naag temple.
if the land is very pure then just going there wearing wrong clothes will cause problems for you and everyone else. this is because the energy of the land reflects your actions manifold and returns it to you ie here your mistake, negative karma is magnified several times and reflected back to you.
then you will suffer immediately. simplest suffering would be feeling ill, dizzy etc.

Kashmir is the purest land of Bharat. and because it has been insulted like this, we all are suffering.
one group of people was responsible for maintaining the purity of the land but some of them in their greed for money/ power did not do this, and the remaining did not stop them. and the land reflected it back to them.
to restore this land they/ their descendants have to work. and it will happen thru pure intention and mantra. no other way.
but i dont see this happening unless they accept that it was their error in the first place.

    Hi Tejaswiniji

Your response on Kashmir prompted me to research a bit. Its a pretty painful and horrifying read. Googled the periods of Suhadev / Rinchana and later Butshikhan/ Suha Bhatt where the massacre reached peak levels.

The same pattern/ strategy has been repeatedly used to destroy the sanatana culture. The same is used even now in many parts of the country, and very systematically being funded and carried out.
Unfortunately, so many of us are still oblivious to the political strategies and workings, and fall into the same trap again and again.

To break this chain and restore the dharmic culture once again what can be done at an individual level?

Introspection + follow Svadharma ? How does one define Svadharma, in a society that’s ridden with so many issues , primary being caste/religious differences or the economic/academic differences and the violence/ discontent that ensues based on these !

It almost feels like a patient on life support with multiple different ailments plaguing simultaneously. Which disease / disorder to treat first ?

      Hi there
those who forget their history will make the same mistakes again.
we have been torn apart from our own history.

      one very glaring eg,
we are students of Jyotish. so a homework for you all.
so read chapter 2 BPHS a very small but very significant chapter,
read the names of the Vishnu avtars given in it in the sanskrit shlok 5, 6,7, and think on what is so very different from what we have been taught and what Rishi Parashar says.
let’s see what you can discern and extrapolate from that one significant word in them.

if you do not hold on to your Dharma u will be swept away and get into Adharma. then its a slippery slope.
fr gruhast people, its very simple,
16 sanskar – as much as you can do, purity of intention is more important than spending money on show.
      Kuldevata puja
perform all the festivals as per Dharma
and teach your next generation to do what you do

      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2020/10/20/daily-pujas/

you have to set yourself right. if you do, your family will be right, if your family is then your neighbourhood, the society too.
it has to ultimately start from the person. there are so many small things which you can do to increase positivity.
if you believe in the Bhagwan, put a tilak on your forehead.
light a deepak daily, keep a tulasi plant in your house.
if you are married wear a mangalsutra. if you have done the yajnopavit wear the thread/shika.
go to temples on auspicious days.
      etc
why think of changing bigger things if you cannot change yourself? treat yourself first.

I can already see small changes like you mentioned , happening around me, my family. Haven’t reached the society yet in a big way, but I am happy with the little positive contributions.

I had lost my way and wasted the last 15 – 17 years of my life in materialistic pursuits and experiences. I guess I have to thank Saturn mahadasha that brought me back on track :), and your Guru’s grace which has gifted us with this blog.

        Thank you !

Where is the Tenth avatar, kalki !! Strange !

        Hi there
not the point that i was referring to.

Kalki can be considered to be grouped in the ‘other avtars’ part. he will take birth coz the texts say that he will be born in a family of brahmins. and Puri Swami Shankaracharya has stressed that this will be so. I trust his pravachans.

        Pranaam Madam,
My humble attempt at the homework : Please forgive my mistakes. I am submitting without feeling confident about it in the hope that I could learn from this.
        My humble submission:
The words of significance in my humble understanding could be Paramatmamsha and “khechara”..
So, with regards to what we have been taught so far (among many things that are incorrect), Rishi Parashar would want us to understand and realize the “Advaita”, and thus, the planets are “us” in a sense which can be extrapolated to our perception of Jyotish.

Madam, the thought is very difficult to describe in words for me, and thus please forgive my humble attempt.

        Best wishes and sincere regards,

        Hi there
nice but not what i was referring to.
it is something about the names of the avtars mentioned in it.
        read them in sanskrit
the one avtar that everyone is confused about

        Gratitude

        Pranam Tejaswini Mam 🙏🏻

Thank you for the homework..😍 that word made me remember my school days..🤩🤩🤩😍

And really I was re reading those 5,6,7 shlokas again and again to get what it might be in your perception..

I’m actually getting more doubts now mam.. but
With my limited knowledge I’m trying to say what it might be.. please forgive me if I’m completely wrong.. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 And would love to hear actual answer from you..😍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

        So according to that shlok..
From the Sun the incarnation of Rama, From the Moon that of Krishna,
        From Mars that of Narasimha,
        From Mercury that of Buddha,
        From Jupiter that of Vamana,
From Venus that of Parasu Rama,
        From Saturn that of Koorma,
From Rahu that of Varaha and
From ketu that of Meena occurred..

And here I have a doubt:
Are this Buddha and Gautama Buddha one and the same? 🤔

My answer for this as of now 50-50 mam..
I’m unable to conclude this firmly mam.. because

Matsya Avatar🦈🦈 – one Asur came to know that Vishnu bhagvan had given the four Vedas to Brahma and felt that they should not belong to human beings. He immediately stole the Vedas and hid in the sea. Guides that not only protect the virtues of the Most Holy Vedas but also guide all mankind forward. So Vishnu raises his first incarnation as Matsya Avatar to ward off these demons and establish Dharma..

Kurma Avatar 🐢- it’s for churning the ocean to obtain treasures dissolved in the ocean of milk n to bring back Maa Lakshmi and balance satva gun..

Varaha Avatar 🐗 – it’s to raise the Earth from the bottom of the sea after the demon Hiranyaksha dragged it to the bottom of the sea..

Narasimha Avatar 🦁- this to kill Hiranyakashipiu Asur who took boon from Brahma that he could not be killed or harmed by any means. Now arrogant in his security, Hiranyakshipiu began to cause trouble both in heaven and on earth..

Vamana Avatar☂️ – to control king Bali who ruled the Universe and when devatas lost their power..

Parasurama Avatar ⛏️- came to the world to kill bad kings and protect humanity from danger.

Rama Avatar🏹 – to kill Ravan and establish Dharma..

Krishna Avatar📒 – to give Bhagavad Geeta to mankind and establish dharma..

        Buddha Avatar –
Here I stopped mam.. in above 8 Avatars Vishnu bhagvan incarnated for establishing Dharma by killing demons and to save innocent people..

So coming to Gautham Buddha, Buddhism explained that attachment is the cause of sorrow in society so Buddhism’s cure for sorrow was detachment and non-involvement.. killing or controlling any demons/Asur/bad people like above Avataras and establishing Dharma things happened with Gautama buddha ??

Sanatan dharma on the other hand explained that both sorrow or happiness is due to Karma or past actions and bad karma can be overcome and good karma can be obtained by following dharma or righteous duty which will ultimately provide ‘Moksha’..

        So here I’m confused mam..

And if this is not good enough to post please delete it.. this explanation is all with my limited knowledge mam..🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

And one more thing mam.. your articles on eclipse are so so so insightful and made me think about it a lot.. I usually try to read personal charts only.. but now I’m trying to observe and learn how it affects countries.. and I found few dates when these Eclipse happened in the past and what happened during that time..

One interesting thing is on 5 Feb 1962 all 9 planets involved in the eclipse mam 8 planets in Capricorn And Rahu in Cancer.. Googled for that year important events and found that the India – China war happened.. and we lost in it.. 😐 but I didn’t get what we lost according to planet positions and why china won ?? I think if virgo is considered for India and Libra for China.. and that year eclipse happened in Capricorn. It’s 5th house for India and 4th for China but China won..

And as usual the way you explain is so so so interesting mam.. even you know so much you don’t reveal all and you know very well how to make your readers involve and learn.. 👌🏻👌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

It’s very hard to imagine how much you are doing for your readers.. to bring this timely insightful content is not at all easy.. I think you already started thinking of second quarter of 2022 planet changes.. your hardwork, vision n the care you take to lower yourself to make us understand deep concepts is something can’t put in words mam.. much power to you…🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

        Sorry for lengthy comment..🙏🏻🙏🏻

Lots of respect, love and gratitude..🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

        Hi there,

        The gist is simple.
Sometimes a shlok can make you think in lateral and unexpected ways.
        Breaks conditioned thinking.

We know that Satya yug 4 pads so it has 4 avtars in it. Pads mean stages/eras not just legs – so Matsya kurma Varaha Narasimha were the 4 eras. Each pad was presided over one main energy of Vishnu. and one graha linked to one avtar as per the shlok.

Treta has to have 3 avtars as this has 3 pads, so Vaman Parshuram Ram,

Dvapar as 2 pads so we need 2 avtars here. Right now we know of only 1 ie Krishna.

Kaliyug has only 1 pad so the future is Kaalki. There cannot be two avtars in Kali yug as there is only one pad here.

If you observe the last avtars of the yug are parmatmaansha avtars. Ie Varaha, Narasimha, Ram, Krishna.

And it is established that the Kaliyug began with the exit of Krishna.
So the missing Avtar has to be from Dvapar and before Krishna in the timeline.

So this ‘Budha’ who is derived from Somasuta has to be born significantly before Krishna as one pad for the yug is said to be equal to 432000 human years.

What this Budha avtar did is not clear though. As so many many our books have been stolen burnt destroyed,
        our history has been stolen.
Half of our Veds additional books, Aranayak and Brahmana are missing. our veds books are missing, so you can imagine the state of affairs.
The invaders ran about calling our history as ‘mythology’ just because it did not fit their theory of creation. Stealing history of a billion+ people is a crime of the greatest magnitude. But they did this in every continent they went to. The Americas, Australia, early Europe, Africa, Asia all their history stolen, twisted.

Anyways, it has been established in several Purans that Gautam Buddha is not an avtar. So we can discard this theory right away. It was propagated by invaders ‘Indologists’ who wanted to fit the Bharatiya kings/ dynasties into their dogma of their origin of creation.

The entire purpose of Adi Shankarcharya’s life Lila was to finish off this selfish thought process of buddhism.
He engaged in Shastrarth, wrote books, travelled , established Maths.
His disciples did the same, eg his principal student, was also called ‘Vedant Shardul’. He was obviously an Advaitin but learnt the Buddhist ideology and then demolished it during Shastrarth.
Buddhism cannot be an accepted way of life. Ideology apart, the main reason is that they were aggressively into Tantra but with loads of ego. Most of these practitioners who did and still do this sort of stuff end up as high level entities, trapped forever in that form. If you perform Tantra we have to be egoless. If you do these practices with ego you get trapped in very hideous ways. No way out. And you poison the environmental around you. That is why I said that the monasteries in Tibet which China destroyed must have released distasteful things.

So the point is that one avtar before Krishna in Dvapar yug named ‘Budha’ is missing from our history that the invaders so ‘helpfully’ translated for us.
That makes Krishna the 9th avtar.
that is what i understood from this shlok of BPHS.

deity never interferes with the freedom of choice that humans have.

you choose, you create karma, later you enjoy/ endure the karmic fruits.

one person’s wrong choice is enough to destroy an entire civilisation. or three, eg the original American empires , Azetc Maya Inca

    Hi Tejaswiniji

I think it’s the Buddha avatar.

    “Buddhah Somasutasya cha”.

Somasuta refers to Mercury. The avatar name is Buddha.

The rest of the names match the Graha/Name combinations, so no ambiguity there.

Does it reinforce the fact that Buddha was indeed the ninth avatar?

Can you please elaborate on ‘Buddhism cannot be an accepted way of life’, especially since so many people practice some or the other aspect of it now?
Also, what about the Buddhist deities?
Isn’t Buddhism an offshoot of Hinduism as we are commonly taught?
Lot of doubts happening right now.

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
every religion that you see around you is an off shoot of Sanatan Dharma, but do not acknowledge it. ingratitude and personal self ego blocks development.
what is the current ‘Buddhism’? a mish mash of Sanatan Dharma practices taken out of context.

as i had mentioned in an earlier comment,
Adi Shankacharya said it was not correct. it was his specific purpose to set things right, to do shastrarth etc. and the then buddhists accepted his authority and several came back to the pure Sanatan Dharma.
this all that i personally need to know. as for me there is no other authority than him in this matter.

if your opinions and experiences are different, then you must follow them, as in everything one must follow one’s own conscience. Svadharma is everything.

i will not write any more on this.
