Ascendant signs and problems in life

Last Updated on May 20, 2022 by astrologerbydefault

I have written about the functional malefics for each ascendant (post here). These planets are responsible for triggering problems, the inauspicious, unfavourable and displeasing events in your life. This is the list,

  1. Aries– Mercury (6th house), Rahu, Ketu
  2. Taurus- Mars (12th house), Jupiter (8th house), Rahu, Ketu
  3. Gemini– Rahu and Ketu
  4. Cancer– Jupiter (6th house), Saturn (8th house), Rahu, Ketu (possibly Mercury 3rd house)
  5. Leo– Moon (12th house), Rahu, Ketu
  6. Virgo– Sun (12th house), Mars (8th house), Saturn (6th house), Rahu, Ketu
  7. Libra– Mercury (12th house), Rahu, Ketu (possibly Jupiter at 3rd house)
  8. Scorpio– Venus (12th house), Rahu, Ketu
  9. Sagittarius– Moon (8th house), Rahu, Ketu
  10. Capricorn- Mercury (6th house), Sun (8th house), Jupiter (12th house), Rahu, Ketu
  11. Aquarius– Moon (6th house), Mercury (8th house), Rahu, Ketu
  12. Pisces– Sun (6th house), Saturn (12th house), Venus (8th house), Rahu, Ketu

We face troubles from the three dusham-sthan, the 6th the 8th and the 12th houses (wrote several posts on them use the index page or the search bar to locate them).

The 3rd house is a bit typical and can go both ways if there are benefic/ malefic influences on it. So I have added Mercury for Cancer ascendant and Jupiter for Libra ascendant, this you have to judge as per the individual chart.

So one level of understanding this list is this –

  • For Aries, of the 3 duhsham-sthan, the 6th will have more potential to create the most trouble in life. The other two dusham-sthan will be relatively less problematic in life. Also Mercury can create more deep seated trouble, than Jupiter. Mars is the ascendant lord so is not going to be overtly malefic.
  • For Taurus ascendant, the 8th and 12th houses will create more significant problems than the 6th house. Here, obviously the lords of these two houses, Jupiter and Mars, are more malefic. Venus cannot be a malefic even if he owns the 6th house as he is the ascendant lord.
  • And so on, till,
  • For the Pisces ascendant, all the three dushamsthan are the mool-trikon signs of Sun, Saturn and Venus so these people will face significant troubles from all these three sources of turmoil. And these three planets are going to give more malefic results.

www.psychologicallyastrology.com

Now we add another layer to our understanding –

Our texts say that the planets transiting the following signs counted from the birth Moon sign will broadly give auspicious/ inauspicious results (subject to conditions. Moorti nirnay is a part of these conditions. Not discussing these conditions here, it would get too long). This will be modified as per the individuals chart, the nakshatra involved, the Ashtakvarga, the vedh etc. But by and large this following list is a good general baseline.

  1. Sun gives favourable results when transiting only in the 3rd 4th 5th 11th from the birth Moon sign
  2. Moon gives troublesome results especially when transiting the 8th and 12th sign from the birth Moon.
  3. Mercury gives favourable results transiting in the 6th 8th 10th and 11th houses from the birth Moon.
  4. Venus gives difficulty when he transits the 6th 7th 10th houses from the birth Moon sign
  5. Mars gives favourable results when transiting only in the 6th 8th and 11th from the birth Moon.
  6. Jupiter transiting 1st 3rd 4th 6th 8th 10th and 12th from the birth Moon sign is not going to give very favourable or supportive results, rest all are going to give pleasing results.
  7. Saturn transits in the 3rd 6th and 11th sign from the birth Moon sign are auspicious, rest all will give stress.
  8. Rahu gives pleasing results transiting in the 3rd 6th and 11th house from the birth Moon
  9. Ketu gives pleasing results transiting in the 3rd 6th and 11th house from the birth Moon

Yet another layer for analysing their transits is this –

I wrote on the speeds of the planets (post here). The fastest moving graha is the Moon with 2.25 days in one sign. Then come Mercury, Venus and Mars who spend variable periods from 1- 6 months in a sign. The Sun takes exactly 1 month per sign. Jupiter takes 1yr to transit a sign. The Nodes Rahu and Ketu at 1.5yrs per sign. And the slowest is Saturn at 2.5yrs per sign.

www

Now let’s combine all this and critically examine the basic list of the malefic planets for the ascendant signs.

Rahu and Ketu are going to be malefic for all ascendants unless they become functional yogkarak (post here). Thus everyone should be careful during typical Rahu/ Ketu transits and this is is applicable for all ascendants. Rahu Ketu in typical transits from birth Moon will create issues once in a while as they take about 1.5yrs to transit a sign. Troubles triggered by them will occur at the intervals of a few years will go on for quite some time, ie 1.5yrs at least and generally have a deep impact on you. This is a common observation for all.

Finally the 12 ascendant signs and briefly on the duration and intensity of the troubles that they will cause in life.

Gemini – this ascendant in my opinion has the easiest life as it does not have any physical graha as a malefic planet. Life is the most comfortable for it compared to the other ascendant signs as there is less turbulence. Only Rahu Ketu, the astral graha, will cause problems when they go through their typical positions from the birth Moon sign and when they interact with the birth Rahu Ketu. If by chance your Rahu Ketu are yogkarak in your chart, then you have the most uncomplicated life possible.

Leo and Sagittarius – Their only major malefic is the Moon. He is a very fast moving graha, about 2.25 days per sign in transit. So for these two ascendants, troubles in life will be more frequent as per his transits from the birth Moon but low in intensity and quite short-lived. Moon in transit if in conjunction with Rahu Ketu will also be a trigger point. Moon owns the 12th house for Leo and the 8th house for Sagittarius ascendant so the source of the troubles will most often come from the keywords of these houses. These two ascendant signs, if they can manage these minor and intermittent issues from time to time, will have a relatively hassle-free life. Tiny chronic pinpricks of trouble should be easier to handle, especially if they are going to be relatively transient.

Aries and Libra – Mercury is the only malefic for these two and he is a fast moving planet. His transits from the birth Moon will be more frequent but comparatively short lived as he stays in a sign for about 25days. Also look out for his conjunctions in transit over Rahu Ketu, these too will last for relatively short time periods. So for Aries and Libra ascendants, the troubles in life will be relatively short-lived, more frequent and less intense. Mercury owns the 6th house for Aries and the 12th house for Libra so the trigger points for trouble will more likely be found in these houses. In the individual charts, check if this Mercury is affecting the nature of Sun and Venus as they are generally found near each other.

Scorpio – Here Venus is the only functional malefic and he too moves at a relatively good speed of about 28days per sign. So you can apply a similar logic about the troubles that he may trigger in your life. Troubles in life come and go without getting rooted too deeply, so will be easier to manage even if they are more frequent. Count from the birth Moon sign and conjunctions with Rahu Ketu to pinpoint the timing. Venus is the owner of the 12th house so issues related to the 12th can be more troublesome than the rest. In the individual chart, also check if this Venus is affecting the nature of Sun and Mercury as they are generally found together.

9f42509b4a5a104a1f89796797f04408

Aquarius – Here there are two faster planets, Mercury and Moon who are functional malefics. So troubles in life have to be analysed from transit positions for both and obviously from Rahu Ketu. Though the troubles will be shorter lived etc as is typical for Moon and Mercury triggered issues, but now there are 2 planets who are in charge of creating trouble. So an increase in issues which will affect your life as compared to the above six ascendant signs. In the individual chart, check if this Mercury is affecting the nature of Sun and Venus as they are generally found together. The 6th and 8th houses will be more troublesome than the 12th house.

Taurus – Mars and Jupiter. Mars moves quite fast, takes about a month to transit a sign. But once every two years he does his retrograde/ forward thing extending to 6months, so you must be careful during this typical transit time. Mars gives unfavourable results in several houses counted from the birth Moon so do factor in this too. Jupiter is a slow graha, he takes 1yr to transit a sign so the trouble he triggers will be less frequent, once in a few years but will last for a year at least. Add Rahu Ketu to this and there could be some periods in life where all 4 of these come in some typical transit where they will give continuing troubles lasting for longer time. Mars owns the 12th house so expect some trouble coming from this source. But here Jupiter is the owner of the 8th and 11th houses so when he triggers troubles from the 8th house you cannot expect support from the agents of the 11th house too. So take due care. Emphasising this part as the time period indicated by Jupiter related trouble is quite long, now a year at least

Capricorn – Mercury, Jupiter and Sun are the malefics here. Sun/ Mercury are faster, moving at one sign per month/about 24days but Jupiter is a slow graha, takes 1yr to transit a sign. Any trouble triggered by the Sun’s or Mercury’s transit portion, will be quick-moving, less intense etc but the trouble triggered by Jupiter will be more hard hitting. This will come once in a few years as per his transits through the signs but when it comes it will last for one year at least. And adding Rahu Ketu with their 1.5yr transit period, Capricorn shows an increased potential for troubles in life as compared to the above ascendants. As Sun is a malefic, there is a possibility that the planets he combusts in the individual chart, will also behave like a malefic. So do check this part. Jupiter in addition to the 12th house owns the 3rd too. So in times when these people suffer issues of the 12th triggered by Jupiter in transit, often they end up making wrong choices in life as their 3rd house and its keywords fail to support them and exacerbate the issues created by the 12th. This typical situation can continue for a year at least so take due precautions.

3df60157b54cc66e56fe674365892aa1

Pisces – Sun, Saturn and Venus are the malefic graha-s. The same logic applies for Sun and Venus regarding relatively transient problems that they will trigger every few months and which will last for about a month. But here Saturn takes 2.5yrs per sign. So the troubles he will trigger will be quite infrequent but more long drawn, deep and serious in their impacts. Add to this the Rahu Ketu factor of 1.5yrs. There are a total of 5 malefic planets now interacting in transit with each other and with the birth Moon together, all the three dusham-sthans contributing. There can be episodes in life where troubles seem to go on for years, draining the personality. As Sun is a malefic, there is a possibility that the planets he combusts in the individual chart will also behave like malefics so note this point. Saturn rules the 11th and 12th houses, so when he triggers the issues of the 12th, friends, generic well-wishers, gains, etc keywords of the 11th also fail to support adding to the 12th house related problem. Saturn generally gives inauspicious results in nine of the twelve houses in transit counted from the birth Moon so he has a higher potential to mess up things in life.

Virgo – Three planets, Sun, Mars and Saturn in addition to Rahu Ketu a total of five again, all three dusham-sthan contributing. Of these, the Sun will create the relatively transient problems every few months and lasting for about a month. Mars also moves quite fast but once every two years he goes retrograde/ forward thing for about 6months, so you must be careful during this time. Saturn now takes 2.5yrs to transit a sign, so the trouble that he triggers will be more damaging, more deeply felt and potentially more turbulent. Slow to come, slow to resolve. Add the 1.5yrs of Rahu Ketu transits, and you can see why you can sometimes seem to be facing some issue or the other all the time. The 5 malefics in transit, conjunct each other and from the birth Moon can create a mixed up confused situation where several issues seem to pop from several sides at once. As Sun is a malefic, there is a possibility that the planets he combusts in the individual chart will also behave like malefics. Saturn and Mars both generally give inauspicious results in nine of the twelve houses in transit counted from the birth Moon so he has a lot of potential to mess up things in life. Saturn owns the 5th house in addition to the 6th. So when he triggers the long term trouble connected to the 6th house he reduces the auspicious benefits of the 5th house. So you will see yourself facing issues like low self-confidence, inferiority complex, block on creativity, low on luck etc. Or your personal selfishness, unnecessarily inflated ego etc adding to the trouble in your life during this period. Emphasising this point as his time frame is quite long at 2.5yrs per sign.

Cancer – Here the major malefics are Jupiter and Saturn who are the two slowest graha of the lot. Jupiter takes 1yr to transit per sign and Saturn takes 2.5yrs per sign. The physical troubles that they trigger are related to the 6th and 8th houses. The issues they will trigger for this ascendant sign will be the more long drawn, deep, serious problems which will leave scars on the soul. Add to this Rahu Ketu in a sign for 1.5yrs. There are the 4 slowest moving graha-s who in their mutual conjunctions in transit and with the birth Moon can create extended periods of years where troubles seem to go on and on without respite. Saturn generally gives inauspicious results in nine of the twelve houses in transit counted from the birth Moon so he can seriously mess up things in life. Here Jupiter in addition owns the 9th house and Saturn the 7th house. So when they trigger troubles related to the 6th – Jupiter and/ or 8th – Saturn, they will affect the positivity and auspiciousness of the 7th and/ or 9th houses too. Thus when you will see yourself facing a crisis of faith, loneliness, financial crunch, arguments with your soul-mate, lack of genuine spirituality as well as a crisis in self-love which will increase the severity of the trouble you are actually in.

Hope this helps you understand more about the troubles that you get into from time to time.

As usual there are the only two remedies of Daan and Mantra which you can resort to to reduce their severity in life. (wrote posts on these, do use the index page or the search bar).

Or if you are aware of the typical combinations in your chart, you can work out for yourself these sensitive periods, take due precautions in advance and keep yourself mentally prepared for what is to come.

    Hi Ma’am

I wait for your posts every week. Thank you for illuminating us with such profound knowledge.

I have a very amature question. Why is Venus not considered malefic for gemini ascendent (through its rulership of 12th house, though it also rules a kona) but Mercury is considered malefic for Libra ascendant (it rules 12th house but also 9th).

    Many thanks Ma’am.

      Hi there
      https://psychologicallyastrology.com/2020/03/27/mool-trikon-signs/

(for all planets except moon) if the planet’s mooltrikon sign falls in any dushamsthan then the planet becomes actively malefic and creates more unpleasant issues for that sthan.
if his other non-mooltrikon sign falls here, then he can definately behave malefically but only in those times where the active dasha/ transit is also damaging. he becomes something like a ‘passive malefic’

for moon we use his own sign cancer, not his mooltrikon sign taurus.

Very interesting and complex post Madam!

One doubt – when you say functional malefic do you mean Badhak planets or that is a different concept?

    Thank you!

i do not understand what you mean by ‘degree-wise strength’ of planets
you can get more insights into their strength if you analyse their avasthas or divisional charts or ashtakvarga tables or shad-varga values or even the nakshtra they are in.

        Hi there
for understanding the Bhagwat Gita there is only one book, Pranav Gita, by Swami Pranavananda. its originally in bengali and translated into hindi, very old, i think it is out of print now. but if you can get a copy, it will solve all your doubts regarding the real meaning of the Yogshastra and help you in your sadhana
but even reading one shlok a day and trying to think about its possible meanings is a good way to really internalise the Gita. its in Sanskrit so even this much daily is a immense sadhana in itself. one shlok a day, it would be very intense as it will build up with time

my posts on spirituality are tagged with #advaita
plus whatever i know or have experienced is only by ‘Soham’
if you feel convinced about this mantra, do it and see for yourself.
if you have had your yadnopavit sanskar then you must do your gayatri mantra as per the rules..

But as you have a Guruji, do ask him these questions, a Guru is the final authority for a shishya, none other

Thank you for all the inspiring articles. I have learnt so much during the months I have spent reading. I have a question regarding a close relative, who has suffered from loneliness for a long time. I have tried to find out which planets that are involved so I can find a good remedy for the problem. This person has a Gemini lagna and what I can discern a rather good horoscope, Moon in 4th house, Venus in 10th, Mercury with Sun and Mars in 11th. Me and Ma very close together but more than 20 degrees from Sun. Ma is mool-trikon. Jupiter is in 2nd house 8 degrees in Cancer aspecting 6th, 8th and 10th house, so in a good position I think. Saturn is retrograde in 3rd house together with Rahu. Saturn, Mars and Mercury are Vargottam in D9. Lagna is also Vargottam in D9. I wonder if remedies for Saturn would help, Saturn being with Rahu and in the Sun’s sign.  Very grateful for your insight.

      Hi there
if its someone else’s problem let them handle it, even if its a close relative.
what you want for them, may not be what they want for themselves.

however your reasoning is correct, this horoscope is quite good otherwise, but
saturn rahu combination gives a typical nature from the point of companionship
also venus and moon mutual aspect is not comfortable for equitable relationships or need-based relationships

    Hello Tejaswini ma’am,

Quite a complex and consolidated read. Your articulation skills are amazing. I love gaining deeper insights from your articles. Best part they help in application and are layman.

I have read most of your conceptual articles based on navamsha, shadbala, bhavbala, nakshatra, dasha and transits, astral and environmental analysis. As per your guidance, I have picked up an interesting and quite complex sample in the family. Please bear with me the post will be long but I have done my research and won’t waste your time with half details. Would really appreciate your thoughts and feedback/ suggestions. I am really stuck.

——–Cancer Ascendant Male (Ashlesha), Pisces Moon (Uttrabhadrapad), Leo Sun (magha)——–

As per D-1 physical manifested chart, material results (referred to your present article, planet friendships, cancer and moon articles)

Case 1: Jupiter (24’Leo 34’46”) + Venus(18’Leo 12’56”) + Sun (00′ leo 35’02”) is in II house. As per Bhav chalit, Sun shifts to lagna with mercury (13’Can 06’40”).

    – As per your articles, Venus and Jupiter are enemies. Venus and Sun are enemies. Jupiter is Sun’s friend but here it is natural malefic for cancer ascendants.
-Second house is maraka. Mercury is not close to sun as per degrees hence isn’t combust but can be malefic because it sits in cancer ruled by the moon (enemy)

———Just for your reference (as per drink panchang) ————-
    Sun: Strongest in chart ( Sthana: 308, drishti: -26.13, strength ratio: 2.02, Ishta/kashta phala: 31/26, bhava%:73)
    Jupiter (P.phalguni) – Sthana: 162, drishti: -31.21, strength ratio: 1.01, ishta/kashta phala: 18/29, bhava% 93)
    Venus (P.phalguni)- Sthana: 118, drishti: -29.64, strength ratio: 1.02, ishta/kashta phala: 26/19, bhava% 49)

Case 2: The seventh and eight house lord Saturn sits in seventh house of Capricorn.
———Strongest with chesta bala of 56.77 in the chart, sthana: 176, drishti: -1.23, strength ratio: 1.32, ishta/kashta phala: 41.12/9.8; bhava in % 61)———

But is RETROGRADE in shravan nakshatra

Case 3: Mars is yogakarka for cancer ascendant and benefit. Relatively mars is second strongest in the chart of native by shadbala but has more kashta phala than ishta (34.83) and sthana: 146.32 which is low but strength ratio: 1.42.

Case 4: Native was born in Saturn Mahadasha. Currently running through Ketu Mahadasha- Moon.
———–Ketu is natural malefic, again. In D-1 ketu (3′ gemini 14’33”) is in 12 house; shifts to 11 house with mars in Bhav chalit. Headless ketu takes stance as per house ruler, planet posited sign or nakshatra lord. Ketu is ruled by mars in mrigshaira nakshatra

Case 5: Moon (09’Pis 44’34”) is strongly auspicious posited in 9 house but shifts to 8 house in bhav chalit. A dushmathana house ruled by Saturn.

Sade Sati will also begin by 2022/2023 overlapping ketu mahadasha in mid.

    ————————–Observations and conclusions for marriage———————:
As per Bhav Chalit> D-1 for results (please correct if this is wrong),
    1/7 axis- house Saturn is the first spouse/ sun and mercury in 7 house;
2 house has moon; lagna lord in maraka for spouse
6 house is empty ruled by mercury; dushmathana
8 house has jupiter+ venus; dushmathana
12 house of separation, bed comfort is empty ruled by Jupiter

As per D-1, only change is mercury aspects saturn in 1/7 axis, rahu becomes 12 house of separation and pleasures, ketu takes 6 house.

As per moon chart, uncomfortable axis as per you is second house from lagna as per D-1 (moon in 9 house / jupiter+venus+sun in second)

I see two marriages/ divorce or separation in the chart. In one of your articles, you said jupiter + venus almost certain of multiple spouses. in D-9, from lagna sat+mars in 6 house; Venus + moon in 8 house; jupiter+ketu in 10 house which is paap kartari yoga but D-9 does not manifest in reality. Mars and venus are debilitated in D-9, sun in 2 house in aries

————— Native is looking to settle this year at the age of 29 desperately———— Ketu mahadasha practically as been mixed to positive so far (got delayed promotion and appraisal during ketu-venus dasha, fell in love but it broke suddenly on the day of ketu-sun mahadasha). Mercury mahadasha ended in mid-2019 was really beneficial for native (top colleges and degrees, higher studies, placements)

I see a lot of karmic negatives, Ma’am. I don’t know which concept to apply first for correct tendencies. You also said next 5 years will be eventful. Please help and guide.

      Ma’am,

Also, for Pisces moon, you said 2021-2022 will be the luckiest year to be used wisely.

      1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

        Hi there
most importantly saturn – capricorn and rahu – taurus, also jupiter – capricorn is favourable
later Jupiter pisces can also work well if you handle the over-thinking part carefully

    2. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
      interesting analysis.
to answer your question, the person should also try for arranged matches, esp when Jupiter is in Aquarius, there is a good chance of it happening

      1. Tush Avatar

So Ma’am as per analysis, aren’t there chances of multiple spouse/ separation? Are there indications as per placements and strength?

Yes, the native is looking for arranged marriage options only and hopefully will settle by end of this year.

But my query was will the marriage be frutiful especially during ketu-rahu mahadasha by mid next year and then sade sati will also come.

Do you mean, ketu and sade sati both will be beneficial for this native?

Thank You for the complex yet crisp post, ma’am. One query, for cancer ascendant male who is born with Pisces moon, will the Saturn transit be beneficial or not? In one of your articles, you said Pisces moon has a once-in-a- lifetime lucky year but cancer ascendant will be experiencing negative to average/ lowness.

How will Sade sati (2022/2023 mid) and Ketu Mahadasha (ongoing moon praytandarsha) affect the native due to overlap?

As per bhav-chalit ( Sun and Mercury in 1 house, Jupiter and Venus in 2 house, Rahu-ketu 5/11 axis, saturn retrograde in 7 house, moon 8 house, mars in 11 house). Saturn has highest chesta bala.

As per D-1 chart, (mercury in lagna, Sun+Ven+Jupiter in II house, Rahu-ketu in 6/12 axis, saturn (R) in 7 house, moon in 9 house, mars in 11 house.

    In D-9, Saturn+Mars in 6 house,

Ketu Mahdasha has been mixed to positive so far. Sun is the strongest in chart followed by moon and saturn. Mars is yogakarka but has more kashta phala than ishta (36).

Ketu sits in mrigshaira ruled by mars. Saturn retro is in shravan nakshatra. Cancer ascendant in ashlesha and sun in magha

Some rules are contradictory to analyze. Like 6/8 axis for marriage is uncomfortable. Venus is uncomfortable in leo and maraka house along with enemy juptier.

    Please guide ma’am

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
it will be favourable overall, lots of opportunities will come etc,
but there may be physical tiredness/overwork etc. as saturn over saturn causes high levels of physical drain.

rules are indicative, you have to practice with real charts to get how they apply in life,

    Hello ma’am,
Interpretating conjunctions involving planets having additional aspects like Jupiter, Saturn, Mars is difficult. And it becomes utmost challenging when multiple conjunctions are there. I have 2 conjunctions having 5 planets involving Jupiter, Mars.
I have gone through ashtakvarga and detailed shadbala…but still this combo has unqiue flavor…and I think this is the reason why all the astrologers, in past, couldn’t analyse properly….
    How to interpret such combos?

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
it depends on the question, always see the chart specific to questions only then you will get your answers
      and practice
a very simplistic eg, suppose mars and saturn in the 12th house,
      saturn aspects 2 6 9
      mars aspects 3 6 7
so if your q is about marraige you will have to factor in mar’s influence not saturns and the 7th house, also 9th to some extent
or if you are asking about diseases, then both plus the 6th house, plus 10th for recovery
if you are asking about returns from stocks then only saturn plus 3rd and 11th house, to some extent 5th too.
      etc

        Hello ma’am,
I am missing some important part….
Shouldn’t both influencing 2,3,6,7,9? Isn’t this is what meant by conjunctions (provided both close enough)? How can they influence separately?

      2. astrologerbydefault Avatar

        Hi there
I meant tht u will open the divisional charts fr the questions. So these planets will b more relevant
Close conjunction doesn’t mean that they merge unless right on same degree/minute.
Unless its sun closely combusting others.
Yes they will influence each other but they might separate in the concerned divisional chart.

For cancer ascendant, how will Jupiter behaves sitting in 4th house. ? Lord of 4th house Venus in 10th house. Mars lord of 10th house sitting with the moon and Saturn in 3rd house. Lastly Ketu in 6th house. Can Jupiter give some stabilty in life ?

    Tejaswini Ma’am,

How does this leo ascendant, cancer moon fares? The love or relationship aspect of this individual always stays broken and painful. Things don’t materialize. Unable to understand the karmic burden. Will there be opportunity this year? No good proposals are coming despite of no malefics. Please help 🙏

Is she born under rare eclipse or some bad dasha?

    Currently in venus mahadasha- sun

    – Moon being malefic is in 12 house ; Venus alone in 11 house
-Sun and ketu conjunct at less than 2 degree difference between them in 10 house of taurus. Mercury also sits in 10 house but isn’t combust
    – Mars is darakarka and strongest vargottama all charts in 9 house. In bhav chalit, ketu also joins it.
    – Saturn in 7 house aquarius, jupiter (R) conjuncts with rahu ( almost on cusp of 3rd and 4 bhava).

I think rahu ketu axis as per degree is more 4/10 axis than 3/9.

Three mooltrikon ( Moon, Saturn and Mars) in D-1 chart. Mercury is Atmakaraka, Saturn AmK.

Rest all houses are empty. Nothing is debilitated in D-9.

    – Jupiter goes to aquarius in 7 house. Saturn shifts to 8 house of pisces. Sun+ ketu comes to 6 house of capricorn.
    – venus goes to third house of libra
    – rahu+ mercury goes to 12 house of cancer
    – moon in 5 house of Sagittarius and mars in aries as vargottama.

All her planets sthana bala above 150. Mars>Saturn>Shukra and Sun. Only mercury has high kashta phala and strength of 0.93 and moon 50:50. Sun, Saturn and jupiter has 40+ ishta phala. Venus close to 28.

Like you said in the article, 3 house is difficult to assess. In her case how is it affecting the pain point.

If only one planet is malefic and that is also situated in its own house of cancer technically things shouldn’t be so difficult. Can you tell difficulties and good points for marriage/companionship from this chart Mam. Any remedy for the same? Where are we going wrong and current transits will help.

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
Its not ur chart, let her find her own remedy.
      Btw Shri sukta will help

Ma’am, She is my sister hence asked for your help. I have tried other astrologers and after being fed up started reading myself.

Ma’am as per your articles, Ketu conjunction with Sun for a leo ascendant makes it close to eclipse. This afflicts the lord which had to be strong in D-1 and D-9 but it is not due to ketu.

I have told her to do shri sukta mam but can you please help or direct through details for once, please.

      2. astrologerbydefault Avatar

        Hi there
i cannot see charts in depth anymore, after so many years of doing just this, it thankfully is not necessary for me anymore.

But if this is your sister, its good to see a brother concerned for a sister.
tell her to listen to Shri Sukta twice a day, morning and evening twilight with this intention of marriage. Ask her to worship Devi Laxmi with tht intention that she too wishes to be a gruh-laxmi soon. but only if she feels convinced about the sukta.
do not wallow in negativity tht ‘marraige is not happening’ rather think that ‘it will happen soon’, also focus on other things in life which give positivity. if you are negative yourself then you will attract negativity.

the description of the planets positions is incorrect,
if your sister has jupiter in scorpio and saturn in aquarius, sun and mercury in taurus, this happened in 1995. then ketu cannot be in taurus with the sun etc.
saturn in the 7th house (if accurate), can sometimes greatly delay things or give a older spouse, physically not very handsome etc but hardworking etc

however just from leo ascendant and cancer moon,
she has a chance of arranged match when jupiter is transiting over Capricorn and Aquarius both.
but the point is expectations are so high from both sides that i have seen good matches being discarded on unimportant considerations. eg color of the skin or something equally irrelevant in the long run. so if you get a reasonably good proposal, then if possible consider it.

      3. A29 Avatar
        A29

Thank you for taking time out and responding ma’am. Really appreciate it since you do not do readings anymore.

I want to correct myself ma’am since you are helping would want corrections. please guide

Jupiter is in Libra along with rahu (3 house)
Ketu is with mars in 9 house of aries
sun and mercury in 10 house
saturn in 7 house of aquarius but goes into 8 house of navamsha. Jupiter comes in 7 house in D-9. Venus being karaka is alone (d-1 11 house) and d-9 in libra

Ma’am in the last line where you said, expectations are huge from both sides does it mean my sister’s expectation from groom or family? Because she recently agreed to a reasonably good match where she let go any physical looks or other issues.

Does it mean we should be open to what’s coming our way and not be too fussy? Will she be happy this way as saturn in 7 house already means bad in 1-1 relationships

Await your help ma’am overall please. Sorry for the mistake i did. Please guide

      4. astrologerbydefault Avatar

        Hi there
one planet does not make a reading, saturn in aquarius in 7th does not directly mean bad relationships. he is in his own mool-trikon so will give good results eventually. saturn alwys indicates patience.
yogkarak mars in 9th in house of dharma is very good. her life will be good.
if you know your kul-devata then see if you have any pending pujas or something coz ketu is present here.

7th lord in 7th will grant a stable relationship.
yes saturn means that older spouse or late marriage, spouse with lower social or financial status than birth family, etc. but spouse will be hard working, systematic and with time gain much, its saturn in Aquarius, so will help esp after 36yrs of age, life with spouse will be happier.
as i said jupiter will create possible proposals when he will be transiting aquarius or later aries. keep your expectations practical and pragmatic.

    Namaste Respected Madam,

    Thanks for this information!

    I have a small question.
Is the Atamakaraka, amatyakaraka etc are strictly mentioned only by Jaimini or is also mentioned in Parashar system as well?

I know people call the atmakaraka as the “soul planet” does that mean we have the most karmic debt in things related to that planet and we took birth to deal with those things? Does having the atmakarka in the Gandant zone mean the karmic knot is “seriously tight ” so to speak? Same atmakaraka exalted in D9 and all other divisional charts.

    1. astrologerbydefault Avatar

      Hi there
Two very different systems. Learn only the basics frm parashari and then go to Jaimini.
Do not mix the two. Else things will get very confusing.
Or if u want to learn only jaimini dont even start on parashari in depth. They are two very different things.
I use Jaimini too, but in this blog am writing only on parashari. Else it will get confusing fr everyone

    Hi,
I have a question unrelated to this post, as you mentioned somewhere you have learnt to erect horoscopes manually.
Do you take tropical positions and subtract from it the ayanamsha value to get sidereal positions? This is what most softwares do from my understanding, so I wondered if that is what you did when you learnt it manually as well?

I read somewhere that in Surya Siddhanta, it is mentioned the other way around i.e. you observe the sidereal positions from the sky and add the ayanamsha to get the tropical values to calculate things like Lagna.

In your previous posts you had excellently wrote about Cancer ascendant problems especially marriage life and disinterest ..Also in Feb 2020 article, you had said that for cancer ascendants
this Saturn transit was a make or break situation in life.. you had correctly guessed using my Planetary positions..

Believe me or not madam, by fate that I got late married at age 41 in June 2020 amidst confusion with a Capricorn ascendant woman who is short tempered, rigid and very straight forward..
I am very stressful and afraid now with swinging mind if marriage life will continue or not. If possible madam, a humble request . Can you please suggest any remedies, how will marriage life be?
Will it go smoothly or end in seperation..is remarriage indicated for any of us..

I lack to speak timely words and am repenting now that I should have remained a bachelor. I have an dependent elder sister and aged mother. I have deep spiritual thoughts but I also get dejected often from young age..

I am a cancer ascendant with mars 1st house, saturn, rahu and jupiter in 2nd, ketu in 8th, sun and venus in 3rd, mercury in 4th, moon in 9th. DOB :5th October 1979, 2:25 AM at Chidambaram.

      Hi there
If you do some regular spiritual practice, you must continue it, eg if you have done your yadnopavit then do your Gayatri pujas. If not then recite the Gayatri mentally 108 times twice a day. This will help you manage the stress.
And for the marriage, you must recite or at least listen to the Shri sukta twice a day. Or whenever you feel stressed or want to argue. And your wife too should do this. If you have a image of Laxmi-Vishnu in your puja ghar pray to this. Be sincere about this intention. Things will get better.
Marriage means maturity. It is a Vivah Sanskar not a child’s play. Try to talk to each other and appreciate each other’s good points rather than focussing on the incompatible ones.
And trust Devi Laxmi to bring marital happiness in your lives.
