Enchanted Rice Anyone?

Hey there everyone this is Samarpit and I am excited about writing this post for my sister’s blog. Thanks love for giving me this opportunity to write something for your blog. You are awesome girl.

Magic is all around us and the sooner we learn this, the better it would be. The rituals of Sanatan Dharma (also known as Hinduism to many) asks us to use common ingredients abundantly available around us. Right from different spices which are used to invoke specific energy to help manipulate the flow of energy to one’s will (strictly not recommended always, KARMA), to grains used for preparing different offerings for god/goddess to thank them.

Rice among all other grains hold a very special place in ritual work, unbroken rice grains are believed to be the finest offering a devotee can offer to god/goddess. The reason being that the rice grains are capable of holding tremendous amounts of energy in them. That’s the reason we see them in every type of ritual no matter Vedic or Tantric, we always find a bowl full of faithful rice grains in the list of ingredients necessary for the ritual.

There’s a whole different way to use rice for energy work. I learned this method of using rice for energy work from the Himalayan shamans long back and since then it stayed with me. Now without wasting time lets jump right into it and see how to use rice for removing obstacles from ones path.

1. Preparing the space : If you have a puja room or have setup, an altar or some sort of sacred space to perform your energy work. Start by purifying the space, light an incense of your choice or smudge your space with sage.

2. Rice: Now take a clean copper bowl/plate and put in 3 loose fistfuls of white raw rice. (remember to use unbroken rice). Pause between each fist for few seconds so that rice grains absorb your personal energy.

3. Light a diya or a candle in front of the god/goddess. And meditate for few minutes to relax and centre yourself. Think deeply about why you want to do this and what are your intentions. Try to be very specific, this ensures better results.

Now we are going to embed the rice with a mantra. This is also known as mantra putan or infusing the rice with a mantra.

4. Decide on which mantra you want to infuse your rice with, don’t rush this decision or you will regret it later for making a bad choice. (That’s where being specific with the intention helps).

I personally love to use one of the mantra from the shaptashloki durga from Durga Shaptasati/Devi mahatmaya. These seven shlokas cover different intensions quite well.

5. Once you have decided on the mantra, recite it for 108 times. And now take 3 big pinches of rice from the bowl and place them in the palm of your right hand.

6. Blow 3 times on the rice, now shift the rice to your left palm and with your right hand start mixing the rice slowly and gently as if mixing the energy from the mantra into the rice.

This activates the rice with your breath and touch, transferring the complete energy of mantra into the rice.

Step seven onwards is to be done at night. After dinner when all the tasks which could compel one to leave his/her house after the ritual are done.

7. Once the rice are ready keep the mantra putit rice in a piece of clean paper. (Use them within 3 days). To use them, remove them from the paper and take them in your right hand, fist closed.

8. Circle the fist with the rice anti-clockwise 3 times around your head (or the head of the person you intend to help).

9. And then immediately go out of the house to the nearest crossroad, face towards your house and throw the rice in the 4 different directions.

10. Once done, immediately come back to your house, remember not to turn back. Wash your hands with running water and done.

Now for example: Let’s assume I have someone who is sick and having difficulty recovering from a disease.

After a bit of contemplation, I decide to use 6th shloka of saptashloki durga.

रोगानशेषानपहंसि तुष्टा रुष्टा तु कामान् सकलानभीष्टान् ।

त्वामाश्रितानां न विपन्नराणां त्वामाश्रिता ह्याश्रयतां प्रयान्ति ॥

Rogaan-Ashessaan-Apahamsi Tussttaa Russttaa Tu Kaamaan Sakalaan-Abhiissttaan |

Tvaam-Aashritaanaam Na Vipan-Naraannaam Tvaam-Aashritaa Hyi-Aashraya-Taam Prayaanti||

Meaning: O Source of Divine Illumination! When you are pleased, you destroy all diseases and maladies. But when you are displeased, you destroy all the desires desired by the mind. You protect those who have surrendered to you, you do not allow any misfortune to befall them. Those who are blessed by your protection are indeed the protectors of others who require shelter.

After enchanting the rice I follow step 7 to 10 and done!

So that’s how you enchant rice for your occult work. Go ahead grab some rice and do as you please. But remember karma is watching.

      Hi there
so tht the negative energy gets dispersed and doesnt follow you back again

sorry to ask this, but I want to understand it?
Is this negative energy being shared with all the people crossing through the cross road?
sort of everyone taking a 0.01% load of the issue?

or due to movement of people somehow the negative energy just vanishes in air?

        Hi there
throwing rice at the crossroads, or flowing water or the sea etc, disperses the energy.
best is the flowing water or the sea but most of us live in such areas where these are not available, so i suggest crossroads, at these points the ‘energy of movement’ is very high so the negativity gets dispersed almost immediately.
others are not affected by this, becoz the nazar/evil eye etc is person-specific. So if you throw the rice, you throw it over your shoulder. do not go tht route again for the next few hours coz it it will again adhere to you.

but there are people who will do evil at 3-road crossings, T-points. you might see rice, lemons, needles, vermillion, coal etc kept at such road crossings. these are extremely dangerous. if you see something like this its negative energy can adhere to you or anyone else. this is the evil side of tantra.

Can we burry the rice in ground?

In response to what you said about needles, coal, etc., does mere sight cause some adherence or it has to be physical contact? I have had a personal experience with such a thing where my eyes fell on a pot and it latched on. It is quite unassuming, so does shielding suffice?
